Avaleigh developed a cold today! GREAT! Just when I thought things we settling with her, now we have a snotty nose and lots of sneezes woohoo! I've given dimetapp but not going to bother with the baby panadol cause its foul! I tried getting her to sleep early today by bathing at 6.30, which was an hour earlier, but didnt work! Fell asleep while feeding but when I moved her she woke up again.. Oh, I just heard a cry from her room but its all quiet now, hopefully she is asleep!

Jan - good to hear from you! I was thinking about you today... I want to get our bathrooms renovated, we have two, so if and when I do that, hopefully we wont need to move out.

I'm not sure what to do with this work opportunity. I've emailed them to see if its still available and I am kinda hoping its been filled!! It would be nice to work to earn some money again, but I like being at home and we plan to have another baby in the future so maybe that wont fit in to the companies plans.

uh oh.. more cries.. better go!

    Hi all.

Questions to answer - Lach is still breastfed. Formula VERY rarely. Mashed and finger foods. Sleeping, well that has never been a strong point, and is so much worse when he is teething

We had a bad night last night. He woke every 2 hours. I think a few of the teeth may be coming through more. He is so so hapy during the day, and he sleeps well when he sleeps, he just wakes alot, and when he wakes, he screams I hope this doesn't go on much longer. And here I am thinking about TTC#2 in July... yikes! Do I really wanna go through all of this again? LOL

Jan - Good to hear from you again!!! So glad things are going well, and YAY on liam's sitting skills! Lach still needs to be placed in a sitting position, but can get down on his own.

Speaking of Lach, the other night he pulled himself from a sit to a stand for the first time on his own. Crazy! I am hoping this is a one time event, and doesn't happen for a few more months. I couldn't handle him walking for a while yet. LOL

    Hope you are all well

    Be back over the weekend
    xxoo

    Morning girls,

Another shocker of a night here but not as bad as the one before. He woke after 5 hours at 1am with a temp, gave him some panadol and fed him but he was so agitated. He finally went back to sleep at 4 but was awake again by 6. I'm taking him to the doctors a bit later. I know it's just his teeth but if he gets another temp today it will be his third day of it and he hasn't had a checkup since his 6 month needles anyway. But on the up side, the tooth is through!!! Still can't believe he cut a top one first. Has anyone elses bub's done this? I know it does happen but I've only ever known babies to cut the bottom two first. Will be interesting to see which one pops out next.

Jan - I'm about to give up on the baby panadol too. I tasted it last night and oh my god, that stuff is nasty! It never used to be like that. I think I will try the nurofen too.

Em - Happy Anniversary! Hope you had a lovely dinner. lol at the 3.8 kg of hair, that must be so cute!

Veronica - I'm still breastfeeding and hoping to get to around 18 months. I did want to go to 2 years but I have been rethinking that lately. A 2 year old can be quite a handful and I'm just worried about the clingy/comfort aspect of him still being breastfed then. I hope that doesn't sound harsh, I can't quite put into words what I mean! I love bfeeding and it has become such a huge part of me, I get a bit sad when I think about the day that I will no longer do it. As far as sleeping goes, Oliver is in bed by 7.30 and wakes at 4.30, except weekends when he sleeps in until 5.30 or 6. He is a very light sleeper and gets woken when DF's alarm goes off at 4.30 during the week. He then comes into bed with me, has a feed then back to sleep until around 7. He has been doing this since he was a few months old. Sometimes he does wake up and as he is demand fed I will give him a feed. If he is hungry he will drink and usually it's just a quick top up anyway. Foodwise he is having mashed, with small bits as well, finger foods - toast, crackers, soft fruit and cooked vegies. Hope Avaleighs cold doesn't give her too much grief!

Hello to everyone else, hope you all have a wonderful day!

Back again! I should be cleaning while Oliver is asleep but instead I'm on the internet, again!!!

Well, I learnt something today and um, I feel a little silly! After 9 years of being a mother I have finally learnt what 'cross cutting teeth' means, exactly what's happening to Oliver, getting teeth in another order instead of the way they normally come through. ie first bottom two then top two is the usual order.

Took him to the doctors and he actually has a virus. His temp was 38.9 and Dr said teething wouldn't make it go that high. He also has a red throat and a slight rash on his tummy. Oh, and the doctor noticed a second tooth just under the gum, a bottom one this time. Just have to keep giving panadol or similar but as panadol is so disgusting I'm going to get him some nurofen or might even try the new Dymadon one.

    Anyways, I'm off again.

Wow so much to catch up on.

I just thought I'd quickly pop in to tell my good news, we will have our new car my the 17th (hopefully), I'm so excited. And my revised personalised plates should be arriving soon as well.

Olimoo, sorry to hear about Oliver's virus. Hopefully he will get better soon.

Mel, oh cool how exciting! No haven't seen them but they sound nice!

How are you finding the doula course? I am going to start the optimum birth course this week and I'm really looking forward to it. I am just in love with conception, pregnancy, birth, babies and beyond just find the whole thing amazing and I am really excited about helping women through their journey's. It doesn't even seem like a job does it?! I think I already have a couple of births organised which is very exciting!

I am going to try and have a read of all that has been going on over ther next couple of days so that I can say a proper hi to everyone!
