    Hey everyone!!

I've been a bit MIA, I've got a very needy child that only sleeps for 30mins and whenever she is up, wants constant attention. I cant get my hour to myself at the gym today as my car battery has died and got no money to buy a new one! So, I hope I dont go too nutty.

Anyway, gotta go, Avaleigh is whinging about something. BBL hopefully!

Hey girls just another quick question MCHN has rung TWEEDLES sleep school in melb for me and bayleigh to attend as they have closed the lil sleep school we had here in mildura so i was wandering if any of you other melb mums n bubs have attended there or heard anything about them?

As for bayleigh he weighed in at 7.8kg hes only put on just over a kg in 2 months so MCHN said to try n give fattier foods to get his weight gain up but i dont think i will as my DD was the same she never gained huge amounts of weight when she was lil but she was very active and so is bayleigh he never stops always climbing and walking and crawling around chasing after the puppy so im not really really worried i think ill just keep doing wat im doing with him
And he is 69cm long he gunna be a shorty just like mum and dad LOL

well better go hes starting to stir

    Morning girls!

Well we are still battling with the milk and cant even get to 100mls at night time. We actually think that its because he's too tired and just wants to go to bed so its not fair to push him. I think we need to somehow change our routine a bit so he has his bottle when he's not so tired but then it moves closer to his dinner so i feel like we cant win! Tonight we are going to try and give him half before his bath and half after and see how that goes!

Sacha - I'm glad things are on the improve having Autie co-sleep...you have to do whatever works for her and the family!!

August - sounds like we have opposites in the drinking department at the moment. Lucas loves his solids but bottles are a different story! How big is your Lucas these days?

V - i hope things pick up with Avaleigh soon and you manage to get some "me" time!!

Sarah - we went to a day stay Tweedle sleep school when lucas was only about 3 months old. We found it really useful to get Lucas to put himself to sleep and havent looked back since!! He sleeps from 7pm to 7am ish (well before daylight savings changed) so we have been lucky in that regard. I would definately give it a go!! How long is it for?

Well the munchkin is awake and squealing to himself so i better go and see what he's up too!!

Alright! I am back. Avaleigh is having a nap and I have managed to wash my hair. I havent done the breakfast dishes yet, but that can wait, so I can get a little bit of a break from it all.

Megan - I hope you nut out your little milk problem!! The half before bath and half after sounds alright. I guess you just got to try different things and hopefully find something that works.

Hmm.. thats all I have got to comment about this morning! haha I hope everyone else is doing well.

We're OK over here. A little bummed that my car battery is dead cause now we are home bound!! Not sure if we can get a new battery before the end of the week as money is a bit tight. Its hard times here at the moment as Jason's work has really slowed down, so its a bit scarey. They think its going to be slow over the next 6 weeks before it picks up again.... Still unsure of whether I should go back to work or not, neither Jason or I want me to go back, but we will see how the next couple of months go as my position is still being held at my job..

Sleeping through the night here is still really hard!! We are waking up once during the night and it is exactly 6 hours after the last feed. I think that this waking has now turned in to Avaleigh's routine and I dont like it!!! I tried one night to just rock her back to sleep but she woke up 1 hour later, so I fed her and we slept til 6am. I just dont know what to do! I just want to have a full nights sleep!! We have an appt with the child health nurse on Monday, so I hope she has some advise for me.

I got some food questions... when giving bub toast, are you just giving them plain toast? I am afraid of giving Avaleigh plain toast as I find its doing to be dry and she is going to choke on it! She likes her finger foods, had a good ol' munch on some pear yesterday. Thats as far as we have gone... And what is everyone giving their little ones for lunch? I am giving fruit and yohgurt and leaving vegies for dinner, but maybe thinking giving vegies for lunch too?? I think I am going to check out the heinz website!

Well I better go and do these dishes!! And hopefully Avaleigh will still be asleep so I can get on to some of the business's paperwork..

Megan76 - As we have to travel 7 hours to melb we are looking at 4 or more days just to make it worth while Not sure when we will be attending as they have to ring me back... The MCHN also has a local lady that deals with sleep study and she should be ringing me this afternoon to make a time so she can come around and have a bit of a talk to me before goin to tweedles... Did it cost anything? if so is it covered by medicare? i have no idea thats why im asking

Also MCHN juist rang me about another centre in melb called the Oconnell early learning centre has anyone heard or been to them?

Sarah - i have a feeling ours was free, think it was a local gov one but i cant really remember. I am pretty sure there is a cost for the longer stays. I think Tweedle have a website maybe try and google it. I havent heard of the O'Connell one. A guy my husband knows through work did a week long one in Melb, i think it was at one of the hospitals? Anyway he swore by it, their baby started sleeping 12 hours at night and 2 one and half hour sleeps during the day. Personally i would jump at the chance if Lucas was a poor sleeper, it is one of the most important things in our house!!
