Raels! That's hilarious (and very cute) about the little boy offering his mum's boob! Just goes to show that they really do get comfort from it if he thought it would help the other child.

Mel, how horrible has this weather been? Dry heat is so much easier to cope with than this constant humidity. We aren't doing much for the long weekend except for Dan's mum's 60th which is on tomorrow. We are all putting in to get a photographer to come and take photos of all the grandkids together as that's what she's wanted for ages. It's a surprise and I think she'll love it. Not to mention we'll get some good photos too hopefully. The breast lump must've been scary. You didn't need a biopsy then? Getting to 14m was better than I did, though it was pretty much Autie just not wanting me anymore (sniff, sniff)

Megan, sounds like things have been a little hectic. How did Lucas go at care? How are you feeling?

Jess, hope you're just lurking and busy with your little boys and all is well.

Jan, how's Liam's head? Autie ran to kiss Dan goodnight last night and tripped falling straight onto the corner of the coffee table leg. By the time I'd picked her up she already had an egg with a straight line bruise running down the middle of it on her forehead. Dan barely took his eyes off the cricket saying 'she'll be right, she's tough' - and she is, but I was a bit cranky at him for that. Luckily she has a fringe so it won't show in her photos tomorrow.

Em, c'mon - Igglepiggle is ok! Much better than a Boobah. And the Pontypines are waaaaaay more annoying and boring. I personally prefer obsessive compulsive Macca Pakka. Is he supposed to be constantly stoned?

Did everyone see the buy one, get one free platinum offer? I think I might do it for SIL. I'm off to check it out. Bye!

I know something strange is happening on BB......................

Em, I totally agree with the Night Garden and Yogabbagabba. And that guy is very queir!!! On speed or something. Bummer my kids like it though. Same with the night garden. IMO it's the worst show ever for kids. It's just jibberish, I'd hate for my kids to walk around saying, Macca Pacca, Iggle Piggle Iggle Piggle Iggle Piggle woo, OMG somebody stop me before my head explodes. :rolf: at Macca Pacca being stoned, I think the producers all were when creating that show. And I called Sacha, Megan in a PM (nothing wrong with being called Megan either) . My head was all over the joint yesterday morning, and I was replying to a message after just reading in here. Once I sent it and come back in here I realised what I did, major blonde moment And I definitely agree about the whole everyone leaving business. I have loved the may some of the mods have explain it in some of the threads. They are doing a great job IMO.

Sacha, or poor little Autumn, how is her head this morning? And your present to your mum sounds perfect, what a great idea. I must remember that when we ever get the chance to get all of our kids together. At the moment ones north qld, ones west qld and I'm east. One day... Have a great time today and Happy Birthday to your Mummy

Must go kids have just woken up. Oh and Sacha, looks like we are in for another hot crappy, rainy day. I hope it cool down after a little rain this morning, bringing perfect weather for your Mums birthday.

well, I left for a day, and none of you missed me, so I'm back again hahahahaha.

What is this yogabagabba show? I only switch the TV on long enough for Liam to see ITNG, and now not even that cos it's not on at 9am anymore (relying on taped eps, how sad is that). When it was on I shamefully switched it on 5 minutes earlier cos the Pocoyo show amuses me, think it's Stephen Fry's narration that I like. Liam was given a DVD of Brum for Christmas, but I've been too scared to let him see it more than a couple of times, in case he develops another obsession. I think I'm delaying the inevitable though, he adores cars, EVERYTHING is a car atm (beep, beep, brrmmm, constantly)

Anyway, I'm not really hanging around, I really just logged on to check my emails to see if I'd got an email from a DJ that I'm hoping to book. I'm sure I'll be back though...

Yogabbagabba's host is a black man named DJ Lance who is about 8 foot tall, looks like he is under-nourished and bounces around like he is on crack screeching YoGabbaGabba - enough said

    Ball obsession big time here.
Jan, I do not like Brum. Not sure what it is...the constant speed maybe? Dunno. Course we missed you, Gumby. But you could put a thread up criticizing us if you want! LOL (obviously my sense of humour is not aimed at you... sorry, those whiners really brought out the meany in me. I really have to let it go...) I like Pocoyo's narration too, and will anyone hold it against me if I say I love Trotro?
My brother and SIL were so disappointed with their DJ. He was an annoying idiot that wouldn't play the songs they specifically gave him, and made stupid comments into the microphone about people he didn't even know. Hope yours is a much more accommodating kind of person. We hired a jukebox - no matter what someone entered in, it was something we had chosen - whoohoo!

Em. You do have a way with words.

Mel, thanks for your birthday wishes. The party went very well, the kids all got their photos done, plus we got individuals and family shots so looking forward to seeing those. I was SO happy with Autie's older cousins. They did a fair amount of babysitting and included her in all their games so I wasn't constantly having to follow her around. Did you say you were going away this week? Where to?

Hi to everyone else! Happy Australia Day!

I have to say I am really disappointed with some of the going ons in the past couple of days in this thread. This section is not a place to gossip about the goings on in other areas of the forum. If you have a problem with another member or even a moderator for that matter, TAKE IT OFF the boards. Cattiness is not tolerated and if I see anymore posts of a similar nature they will be removed and infractions will be given.

Sacha - I hear you on the DJ, they have the ability to make or break a night. DF & I are already very anal about what we want for the night, so the DJ that we do choose will have been thoroughly grilled before we hand over even a cent. And worst case scenario, I can see us doing our own CD's, and just hiring a sound system for the night. But the jukebox idea is a good one, I hadn't even thought of that. I don't much like Brum either, but sadly with a car-obsessed boy, I don't like my chances of escaping it completely. I can cope with it in small doses.

Better go, someone's about to get out of the bath & demand his dinner.

    BBL.

    Hi girls
I seem to be having trouble posting i have gone to post a few times today and it hasnt posted so im hoping this works...

Just popping in to say hi and hope everyone is behaving them selves :P

Jan- Our friends had a Jukebox at their wedding and it was great..and im pretty sure it was a ALOT cheaper then a DJ..

All these shows you guys are talking about are going over my head LOL maybe i dont have my telly on ABC enough LOL i know of Brum DD loved it when she was lil.. But bayleigh just loves to watch his TOOT TOOT (thomas) DVDS The wiggles and Doggys(Raggs)... oh and Cars. LOL
Bayleighs Obsession is CLIMBING... Grrrrrr He has to Bl00dy climb EVERYTHING No matter how many times you pull him down off something and tell him NOOOOO he gets right back up there and climbs again... I have lost count to how many times he has fallen off the dinning table, or the back of the couch or JUMPED off the TV Cabinet.. He climbs out of the bath, he climbs into the toilet..

ITS DRIVING ME INSANE... Has anyone got any ideas on how i can get him to stop it.. Im really scared he is gunna hurt himself REALLY REALLY bad one day... We have tried to scare him Ie move the table while he's standing on it but he just laughs at us so we stopped doing that. I thought that when he has fallen off the table or what ever he has climbed on that would have scared him but NOOOOOOO it hasnt...

If you lovely ladies have ANY ideas i can try PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE let me know...

Hope you all had a Fab AUSTRALIA DAY..

Oh Sarah - I don't have any ideas for you, sorry. It must be scary. I'll have a think and see if I can come up with anything. From one mummy of a TootToot obsessed boy to another

Sorry Sarah, no ideas here either but I would like to know if there IS a cure! Autie likes the dining table too...she's doesn't sound as obsessed as Bayleigh though. It's scary isn't it? She also has a thing for running along the couch that I'm terrified will end in a face plant off the end into the tiled area.

Jan, it might not be your thing, or fit into your theme, but I think the jukebox was about $250. It's all computerised and you get heaps of songs in all different categories that you can choose from. Also, you can lock it so you can be in charge if you don't want people interfering with your playlist, and it comes with a remote. Haha - sound like a salesman don't I?

Has anyone heard of teething causing bad breath?

    Another toot toot boy here

OMG Sarah, sounds like you have a little adventure junkie there. Charlize is a big climber but she seems to know her limits. I have read a few different things about what to do when they put themselves in danger. And they all pretty much say to take them in time out, and explain what could happen if they fall, let them sit for the number of minutes they are old, go back, explain again, ask if they understand, yes -great ask them to say I won't do it again, no- explain again, another x amount of minutes so on and so forth. I know it's sounds draining, but I did work for Charlize but she is a girl, and I have learnt that girls seem to learn things like that much much easier than boys. But I'd give it a go, if he laughs with he probably will, I'd be persistant give it a couple of tries and go from there. But that's if this sounds doable for you. If not, I'm sorry but I stumped. I hope he learns soon for you though, I get so scared when I see my 2 doing something dangerous.

Oh for all the Toot toot mummies out there, did you notice during the week that Thomas was animated???? How cool was it. It was very strange at first, but then I came to like it. I thought the same when I first watch The Great Discovery DVD, with Pierce Brosnan narating, thought it was strange, but come to love the sound of his voice in the background.... Very sexual

    Hi Ladies

Its been a while since I have posted but things have finally settled back to normal now with work now that xmas and xmas sales are over. Ok so I will finally attempt some personals.

Sacha- I hear you on the running along the couch thing, Tayah does that too and we also have tiles so I am forever pulling her off the couch worrying about the face plants. She does it on the bed too, I try to explain to her not to do it and that she'l fall but she just thinks its a game and laughs while she is doing it.

Sarah- I also dont have much to offer on solving the climbing obsession. Tayah obsession is shoes, shes forever putting on all our shoes and strutting around the house in them. Not so scary as climbing, but I reckon it will cost us a fortune when she is older wanting hundreds of pairs of shoes.

Em- Im with you on the on igglepiggle, it drives me crazy, I think Tay is even over it now. She will watch the first couple of minutes when the intro music is on but then she is back to playing with her toys.

Jan- Sounds like things are coming along well with your wedding plans. You have probably already mentioned it but was just wondering when the wedding is?

Mel- Hope you enjoy your nights away for your anniversary.

Ok bit of a lame attempt at personals, Hi to anyone I missed, hope you all had great Aussie day weekends. We spent the day at the beach at Byron bay, it was so nice I have been wanting to be back there all day today.

    Bye for now
