Sara, thanks for the invite. I am in Redfern/Surry Hills and work in Kensington, so Fairfield is a bit far for me. Hope you guys have a good day though. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Hi to everyone else. Diana is asleep and I am writing my assignment. Really.

    Hi all,

How exciting lots of posts to read

Tracey, LOL on still looking pg with the HAB on, the first time nathan had it on I thought oh my he looks pg if you couldn't see the bubs. I've only managed to get Xav to sleep for 2-3 hours in the HAB, but then I'm sitting on my backside and not rocking him, so I can't complain.

Flossie, how cute and very helpful, I've been saving some of my showers for the night when Nathan gets home too, I can't stand when there is a big cry and I'm in the middle of a shower, at least when DH is home they can look after things, even if just for a minute.

Mel, you poor thing, I think your almost destined to get a cold when the kids both have it, your probably spending every waking hour with them both. You do still sound in good spirits though, you must be a super mum! And I'm sure your Doc loves to see you every week brightens up her day

Zofia, naughty naughty, off and do your assignment young lady. It's great to hear about all of Diana's accomplishments, reminds me of all the cool stuff we have to look forward to.

august moon mum, oh not so good your little one was a bit backed up, but glad to hear it's all out now. Can't imagine it would be very comfy, poor little tacker.

Sara, Does katlyn need to go up a size with the nappies. I found that the aldi brand ones are good, and the newborn ones seem a little more generous in size than huggies, plus they next size up I think starts at 5kg not 6 like huggies. I'm sure the dress will turn out really well.
I know what you mean about flashing the tummy, I don't think anyone wants to see my tiger stripes. Target have some good feeding t-shirts in maternity section, but I'm finding these don't work too well for Xavier, as lol I don't get enough boob out for him (such a boy). I had a thing to cover my belly while pg, maybe something similar to that, but in a much smaller size might work.
Have fun at the zoo, I wish there where things like that near me.

Nicki, hang in there, every little boy I have met in the last 12 months is a huge mummies boy. I believe they grow out of it, only to fall back in when they get older I think, 'cause my DH is a bit of a mummies boy. Try to enjoy it, 'cause one day you won't be cool enough and you will wonder where you little man has gone.

Well us, we got another 7 hour sleep last night. I think the other day we got screwed up by the weekend, 'cause we go to mums for tea on Sat and he just doesn't feed very well when we go out. only took till tuesday night to get my good child back. I'm just crossing my fingers he starts to maintain the 7 hours and then starts increasing them, although I'm still waiting for the nasty non stop feeding etc for this 6 week growth spurt. Maybe he already had it, he is definetly feeling rather heavy the last few days.

Wow Tracey sound like you guys are set. Zyon is getting so big too, we won't recognise him when you get back.

Well just got back from my docs. She has put Jack onto losec. So hopefully we will have some more relief with that. At the moment he is sleeping really well, but that is just cause he is sick, poor little thing, but good for mummy BTW my little piggy now weighs 6.5kg WHAT A LITTLE SUMO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Rebecca for your kind words, but definately no super mum here, I just get by cause I have too, but thanks, your comment made me feel good.

Hi to everyone else, don't have much time ATM I have a little hungry singing out to me.

Hi everyone...hope you are all well! Alessia and I have been doing ok today - she had her first 2am feed in ages, so I guess I can't complain, but it's strange feeding at that hour! We're still working out some sort of routine at night...just have to say, thank God for the bath. It tires my little miss out like a treat!

Mel *hugs* I hope your little family is feeling better soon. Hopefully the onset of some better weather will bring warmth and most importantly health! I'll be getting the test results this Friday from the MRI that I had on Monday. I'm quietly *****ting myself cos if my tumor is back, I don't know how I'll cope!

Rebecca Woohoo for Xavier and his long sleeps! It's great when you hear your baby stir and you look at the clock and it's 5 or 6am! I'll have to keep an eye out for the feeding tops in Target. At the moment, I've only fed at home and am surviving on singlets and zip up hoodies.

Tracey Wow, great weight gain for Zyon!! How's your little one going now that he's on the right meds?

Nicky *hugs* those days are hard when you can't get much done! Pop a good DVD on and sit back and relax...there's not much else you can do unfortunately!

Sara Well done on your expressing! I found that it would be a little easier if I popped my 'bosom buddies' (little gel packs that you can heat or ice) inside my bra about 15 mins before I would express to help my let down. I can't wait to see the beautiful gown you're making once you're done!

August Yay for Lucas having a poo! Alessia went 2 weeks without doing one and it worried me so much...I was 'this close' to having to use the coloxyl as well! Now she is a little more regular.

Zofia Hope you've found some time to work on your assignments! I can't wait til Alessia makes more sounds other than 'feed me!!!' *hehe* I had a look at your website the other day...boy Diana is just so cute!

Flossie Wow, Olivia is long! I think that when Alessia is her age, she'll probably be the same - she's already at the 90% percentile at the last check! Yes, gotta love when the hubby comes home to enjoy the 'little' but so important things!

Veronica That's great that Avaleigh loves the electric swing that you bought her. Alessia HATES hers with a passion! *lol* Hopefully when she's older she'll take to it a bit better!

Well there goes my baby again...major wind problems today! Take care everyone!

I know what the HAB are now!! I have one of those baby bjorn ones but haven't used it just yet!! Olivia is so heavy I don't know if I could walk around the shops with her in that

Question - has anyone had a pulling down sensation downstairs? At first I thought it was the tear, then I thought it could be my pelvic floors now I have been told (not by drs yet) that it could be my uterus pulling down - falling to low IYKWIM??? I am going to the drs on Wednesday but whatever it is I hope it doesn't mean surgery!!

Got to run, Olivia is crying got to hate this 'unsettled hours'

    Hey Everyone!

Wow it was a bit busy in here!!

August - it is a little sad moving bub to the cot because I love being near her!! Jason is being a bit funny about it and saying that he wants to be near his girl so he can see and hear her, but she cant be in her cot forever!! I was planning to put her in her cot last night for the first time but Jason said no cause we need to get another door barrier thingy to keep the dogs out of her room cause I want her to sleep with her door open and if its open, the dogs will get in!!

Tracey - hope you have a great time in Bali!

Nicky - *hugs* I hope things get better over your end!

Flossie - cant say I can help you out with that sensation. I hope you get some answers soon and its nothing too serious.

Jem - my wedding plans are going real well. My mum has been a total life saver!! if she didnt step in to help, I wouldnt have gotten anywhere!! And yes, I am back at the gym. I've been back for about 2 weeks now and am soo loving it!! Today it was real good, I feel like I am back to my old self again!! Now I just need to lose the weight. I desperately need to go shopping for new clothes too!! I am still wearing my maternity jeans and am pulling them up all the time!

Well its been raining like cats and dogs here today - it was coming in side ways when I was driving to mums!! Jason and I spent a nice morning together. We went to the shops and had lunch at a cafe and bought about 5 photo albums LOL!! I am planning to make up some albums for my mum, Jason's mum, Jason's grandparents and his dad - so that should be fun.

Avaleigh has been great the past few days. I'm back to sleeping in my bed. I want to try and break her afternoon/evening routine tho. She has been falling asleep around 6.30pm these days and then sleeping through to midnight and I used to bath her at 8.30pm until this routine started but now I cant!! How can I go about breaking the routine?? Should I wake her up for her bath?? I feel so rude waking her tho!

Veronica- We bath Kaetlyn after a feed. That way she is settled, not hungry and a we bit sleepy. Otherwise she screamed the house down. I bath her in the mid day, early evening as it can get quite cold her at night. Yeah on the gym!!! I would love to join the one around the corner- but there is no child minding facilities and I would never get there. I start playing netball again in a couple of weeks, so should be fit after a couple of days! LOL i might nominate myself for center, so that I have to run around.

Zofia, its a shame you cant come, maybe at another meetup? It would be a long trip for you! esp if you dont drive! (not sure if you do or dont, but most city people i know dont have cars!!!).

Well Kaetlyn has just fell alseep without her dummy- which is really unusual for her!! I heard her stirring in her cot after her feed and went to check on her, and she was laying there chatting to herself, and but not crying so i just left her there, SHe is now asleep!

Rebecca- LMAO about the tiger stripes!! I never thought of them like that, but thats exactly what mine look like!! It was only the last week of pg that they all decided to visit and not leave me . We didnt end up going to a public place, just my cousins house, so all was good. I think today that I will have to feed her in public. I think as tracey said- Once youve done it once its ok..... its just doing it once that is my issue!!! All other times i have avoided it.

Mel- good luck with the losec.

Everyone else- enjoy the good weather - well we have nice weather at the moment, so I will enjoy mine!

Veronica, If Zy's asleep at 8 we undress him a bit so he wakes & then bath him, I dont want to be up feeding at midnight, he then is bathed & dressed & feeding around 8:30 & wakes around 2am for a feed & then sleeps til 7-7:30....

Sara, I'm with Tracey I don't even think twice now when I pop the booby out in public. Don't get me wrong, I'm still discrete, just not nervous or shy anymore. You'll be the same soon!!

Veronica, sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday, good one you. I wake Jack for his bath at night around 8:30pm. He is sound asleep normally when I do so, but he soon gets over it. I look it at this way, they don't mind waking us up at midnight so a 8:30pm wake up is only far, only Joking!! But really he loves his baths and smiles the whole way through. Then he is back down by 9:30pm. And lately he has been staying that way until 4:30am somesdays 5:30 but some 3:30 also. I learnt with Charlize to wake them up for a bath them give them one more feed, as I was like you didn't want to wake her up, and she didn't end up sleeping through past 2am until she was 5 months old. And then it still wasn't constant, probably more like 7 months until it was constant. How did she go last night? Hey what is the date for your wedding, you should do up a ticker countdown for it, so we can all count down with you!!!

I don't want to juince (sp?) but Jack has been a different boy over night and today. Fingers crossed the losec is starting to work. I have even been able to stop wrapping him at night, which is a big plus here as DD was wrapped until she was 7 months and I didn't want a repeat of that during summer. And Charlize woke up alot happier this morning too, still very snotty but alot happier than she has been. So all good hear so far today, hope your all having the same.

Snap Tracey, it's so good to hear that Zyon has improved so much, I bet you much feel like a different lady since you have been getting alot of sleep. Jack has started to improve out of sight too, this losec is good stuff. I'm sure the Zantac would have done the trick too, but he just wouldn't swallow it, little bugger. He loves this losec though, it is Tutti Fruitti flavour, I could drink it
What is it now 2 nights or 1 night?
I haven't been to Tuban before, I don't think anyway. Where abouts is it from Denpasar? We did alot of driving, when DH was working there, got lost heaps too

    Hi All,

Been MIA for the past week. Since finding out Georgie has hip displacia been preoccupied. Anyway saw Orthapedic Surgeon today and got the brace fitted we expected was needed. The day really was not as bad as we thought, or even bad at all. When the brace was being fitted Georgie was happy as could be. After it was fitted and we put in the pram she went straight to sleep. She has been the perfect baby since the brace is on, feed and straight to sleep. I said to mum if she had been given pain killers in hospital I would have thought she had been overdosed as she is so sedate and peaceful. But she has had nothing so she is just very calm, or in shock at what we have done to her but its not. Just hoping she hasn't got her nights and days mixed up today.

Nappy changing is a bit of challenge as we can't lift her by her legs so cleanning her bum is done kind of blindly. Clothes she are still working out. I took a bigger jump suit with me which I knew would fit her (coz it was so big) when we dressed her we both said she looks like Maggie Simpson in her star suit. But we will work out what clothes she can wear that fit her a bit better.

Anyway will do personals soon but overall the was not upsetting like we thought it may have been, I think it was certainly helped by Georgie not being upset at all.

Disappointing thing is she can't have baths, this was special daddy daughter time and she loves being in the water. I don't think she will like sponge bathing much.

Anyway very long post sorry about that.

    Hi all,

Fran the 7 hours are still few and far between, but it's a start. Feeding tops are maternity sizes too, so the sizing makes you feel good, mine are a size 10, yet I'm a 16 in normal clothes. i'm planning to get some material and make myself some long boob tube things too, so I can wear some more normal clothes. that way I can cover my tummy and the boob not being used.

Flossie, I hope the pulling feeling isn't anything bad. It could be related to your pelvic floor, you where quite knocked around, it might just take a little longer and some extra exercizes to get back to your pre preg body.

Jemima, I almost got that HAB, still trying to work out the right amount of tieing to be the most comfy. Your sleeps sound great, I can only look forward to that.

Zofia, good girl doing your assignment.

Veronica, the decision on waking or not is a hard one huh, do I wake and risk them not going back to sleep, ordo i try to change the following day to change the night routine. Arrgh, I don't know, I'm still just doing what I'm told, being controlled by a baby lol

Sara, feeding in public not a huge deal. I don't drive, so if I do head out of the house I'm basically putting myself in a position that I will have to feed in public. I have taken advantage of some baby change stations, but I have also just plonked myself down somewhere and started feeding. I'm over it.
Oh I couldn't see a ppic, i'll go ack and have a look tomorrow.

Bridee great to hear that the brace is going well.

Now I have to ask a question. You guys all seem to bath your babies every day. I've been told not to as it's completly unneccesary and can dry out their skin (although we quite often only use water). Have you been told to do it daily ofr a reason, eg routine etcI just feel like we are the only one who do every second day, yet I know heaps of peopel locally that only wash every couple of days too. I'm confused.

Gees its mentally draining meing a mummy.

    Night all

Becca ~ everything sounds like it going so awesome with Xavier. I’ve warned DP about leaving Lucas unattended on a table too. It’s a good one to remember that just because they can’t roll now doesn’t mean they might not be tomorrow. Obviously Lucas is not going too far ATM but it’s a good habit to get into early.

V & Tracy ~ I’ve been wondering whether to bath Lucas at night as part of a bedtime thing, but I usually bath him in the mornings when he wakes up. He LOVES the bath and has from his very first one, and when he’s all cleaned up he happily goo’s and gaa’s for ages. He really loves it as his special morning time.

Jemima ~ LOL yes poo is exciting for us. Lucas was born with gastroschisis, an abdominal wall defect where there was a small hole near his belly button. The skin when he was forming did not completely enclose and his bowels were exposed through this hole as he got bigger. Gastroschisis happens somewhere in 2 - 4 weeks from conception and it was diagnosed at my 18 week scan. As you can imagine the rest of the pregnancy was a turbulent and worrisome one but we got through it.

Bridee ~ It’s good to know the appointment and brace went well and that Georgie was peaceful afterwards. I think there is an instinct in babies that tell them when they need to rest their bodies to get better. I’ve seen it a lot with Lucas. They just accept what they need to do and relax; I wish it were the same for us Mummy’s!!

MummyMel ~ sounds like the same sort of think is happening with Jack.

Fran ~ Yes I wish I could have avoided giving Lucas the coloxyl. 2 weeks is a long time for Alessia! How is she now?

Ngala ~ Yay for getting married a ticker is a good idea.

*big love* to all have a great day.

Tuban is basically where the airport is (although the airport is called Denpasar airport)?

Yeah Zyon cries after I put the Zantac in his mouth, I'm sure he hates it, but he does drink it1

Yay, for Jack, it's so much easier o have a happy baby...
