Wow, you girls have been busy! Have been reading posts, but Kaleb always wakes right as I'm about to post, so I am going to go for gold now!
Dach, good to hear from you! Glad to hear you are doing well, and that Yasin is adjusting to Imran's arrival. You will have to keep us up to date on how that goes, as you are my role model - there will be pretty much exactly the same age gap between my two! How are you coping with Yasin after your c/s, with regards to lifting him or him climbing on you? This is my main worry for when the time comes, cos they don't understand why we are suddenly rendered useless!
Tegan, that is a good question. Kaleb has no idea when we talk to him about it now, although he has learned what babies are and can point to them when asked, he has no idea that we will be getting one of our own! I was hoping that having them this close together would eliminate some jealousy, thinking that he'd be too young to really understand, but he has already started getting angry if DH & I cuddle or kiss in front of him. He literally tries to pry us apart and makes these cross noises. Oh well, looks like I've missed the boat on that one! Hmmm, not sure what to suggest with the sippy cup. Kaleb never took to the ones with the spouts, but is happy to drink out of straw cups, so that's all we use.
Mitch, that is very exciting news re: your business venture! Hope gymnastics goes well too. And woohoo for Jess making the 10kg mark! How is Arron's ankle going?
Michelle, how'd you go at Target today? Ours was packed, the 15% off thing I suppose. Got Kaleb some winter PJs, and got myself a pair of glam slippers for hospital, cos they were 30% off. I'm not normally a slipper-wearing person, but I think they'll come in handy this winter. I spent my Sussan's voucher that MIL gave me last bday today too on new PJs. I remember after last birth feeling like cr@p with the leaky boobs and the bleeding, so this time I'm going to try & counteract it with gorgeous things! Wow, how exciting to be going on a girls weekend, I would be counting down the days! Grrr, IKWYM with the tupperware cupboard...Kaleb empties it out 100 times a day, leaves stuff in the laundry basket, chucks it over the verandah, in his toy box...so much more appealing than his actual toys it seems!
Mel, what a good girl Eliana is! LOL at the chooks! Hope you are feeling 100% now.
Hi to Kellee & Jess, hope you are both having a great week!
Kaleb's latest thing is an aversion to bath time. First he started crying halfway through the bath, then next night as soon as I put him in the water, then next night as soon as I said "bathtime". Have been trying all different things to get him over this, but what seems to be working is a new bath toy (a plastic shape sorter) and me singing to him the entire time he's in there to keep him distracted. It's very strange, because it's not like anything traumatic happened, he just did it out of the blue one night. Oh well, sure keeps me on my toes!
