Morning ladies...
Going to be a very lazy one at my place today (although i do have the car today, so i cant escpae... if i can find the keys!! DH lost them and had to get his mum to run him to work!) Did all the dishes, mopping, general cleaning yesterday, just have to get the washing off the line, its still wet atm... and backyard is shady atm. Have closed the house up now, kids having brekky (coco pops... mmm healthy!!) (that was said sarcastically BTW!)
Any special plans in here today?? Think my boys will be playing with their trains, i bought them a Thomas the Tank DVD "Calling All Trains" last week, and yesterday they got the Collapsible Sodor Suspension Bridge. So i have 2 very happy little boys here... and one happy mum, as it keeps them occupied!!
-
OK, couple of things.
Mel - it's an 'Oaty Date Bar' from the NZ Edmonds Cookery book that my sister gave me for Christmas.
Second, my mum emailed me from Central America and among other things, told me one of my promising younger cousins has got into a medicine course! Not bad for a girl from a poor family in a developing country! Well, she's better off than a lot of kids, because my mum sends money over to her family and not everyone has a relative in a developed country who can do that. But quite apart from money, not everyone in those countries gives themself the luxury of harbouring such aspirations. I am so proud of her! I can tell Oscar that he has a doctor cousin on each side of his mummy's family (I have an Irish cousin who is a doc, too) and that of the two, Kelly is the one to be especially proud of, as Jim has a doctor father and grew up with opportunity laying at his feet (not that he doesn't deserve it, it's just been easier for him, obviously). So, there was me punching the air when I read that email - it's been her childhood dream, and she told me about it when I was there 4 years ago. Another one of my cousins there skipped 2 years of primary school...cop that! All that Mayan genetic interplay must make smart kids!
Anyway, my big woo hoo for the day (actually more than just the day, it's been 6 and a half months coming)...Oscar did the 'find and feed' thing that I'd been waiting for since I started BFing! at about 4am I stirred lightly only to find my little hobbit attached to me and he whimpered when I stirred because he lost traction! I was beaming to myself in the dark, because the day he could Find and Feed has arrived! I slept nekked, so it was relatively easy for him, but thus far I've sensed him stirring and had to position him in front of me (from there he attached himself, but I had to get him level), but this morning he positioned himself and went for it  My little boy is growing up...
So, I'd been waiting since then to get online to tell you all!
My slice is still yummy 12 hours on...the crunchiness I had attributed to slightly overdone was in fact some date and currant mix that was against the tin, the rest is, well, quite ideal. When I was icing it, I realised that my sister had made one when I was there and she had complained that the icing was too runny, but we had loved it and scoffed it down anyway. That said...mine is better. Even she'd give that to me. I am allowed to boast because my baking forays have been far and few between...for good reason!
ok, gonna put this boy down so I can wash my hair and take the dog for a walk before it gets too hot...toying with the idea of visiting pony today, or just waiting till Saturday when it's cooler. When I get back I'll be indoors, fan on, putting away papers into the bin or filing cabinet. I'd like to move an antique chair from Oscar's room into the study...when I create the floor space. There are heaps of novels that I will try to flog on eBay and then I'll have floor back!
Hee, hee, ABC 774 will talk about nudity after 10am - should be interesting. Apparently, 2 percent of women surveyed had been caught naked...at work...go figure! 40% have been caught nekked in their backyards. I have yet to join those ranks, though I have ventured naked to the backyard under cover of darkness to get the dog in (sleep naked, couldn't be arsed putting clothes on cos was warm night...). Anyway, it will be interesting to hear people's jitters about the naked human body after the news.
Catchyas!
-
I sleep naked, as does DH. (IN winter i sleep with clothes on in melb, in perth i never did) Last night i was putting out the washing with no clothes on... The other day SIL come around while i was in bed, and Xander's latest trick is opening the locked door... so i walked out starkers!! We had a laugh.... Lucky im kinda proud of my body after 3 kids... and i wear my c/s scar as a proud war wound! Its very neat and tidy :)
-
You should call up 774 with that one, Simone! phone number 1800222774!
Gotta get dressed...speaking of being nekked!
-
Im only wearing nickers and a top, have to get dressed as i have my last visit from protective services - they are withdrawing from my "case" (like there was even one!!) So at least thats over now. Boys are trashing my clean bathroom atm... every time i feed Declan atm, i have to bath him, as he insists on feeding himself all the time, but trashes himself...
I wihs it was tonight already... or tomorrow night, even better...
Trying to figure out what to have for lunch, im hungry but dont have alot! May just be cheese noodles...
-
I must confess that DH and I sleep nekked, most days I usually just have my bra and knickers on unless I'm expecting visitors, I have been caught out on the odd occassion with a surprise visitor, but it's my house so I can wear what I like is my saying.
Nic like the others have said it maybe a stage that he is going thru and he should grow out of it. I know it doesn't help much saying that but there will be a light at the end of the tunnel, he may also be experiencing separation anxiety, just a thought.
IK that slice sounds yum, can you either post the recipe or email me it please.
Mel I so hear you on the Charmed thing, you just start getting interested in it again and it goes on a long break. How did covering Marley's hands go last night?
hugs xoxo
-
Amanda - if its hot, i live in bra and undies or nothing, if its cold i will spend the day in a dressing gown... (i have a lovely soft pink one, its so comfy...) Love the pic of Cody :)
Lunchtime here, boys had 2min noodles with cheese, Anneliese is about to try plum... with banana custard farex in it :)
Boys are running around nekkid atm too :)
-
OK i gave anneliese freshly pureed plum and apple (no rice cereal) and she's actually whinging she's not getting it quick enough! she was unsure of the first mouthful, but after that, she's fine!!
-
Just made a blog :) "The Chaos That Is My Life" just my ramblings...
-
Thanks Simone, I took that pic yesterday with DH's hat I got a few of him sitting up as well. I'll go read your blog now.
hugs xoxo
-
Its nothing exciting Amanda, just me rambling :)
Well, Anneliese ate all her dinner!! im so happy, looks like i have a wining comination, plm and apple... She's having veges for dinner though (wonder how they will go down!!)
-
Nic - I hear you about the rolling thing! I didn't wrap Marley last night (just socks on her hands) and she woke a few times during the night on her tummy, or legs through the bars. She is now sleeping on her side or tummy now - not much you can do about it. She is still in her sleeping bag at night. Luckily, no scratches! Hope the inspection goes well. PML about the fishy porcelain ceremony, how fitting LOL!!
IK - slice sounds delicious. I find you can usually perfect a recipe after doing it a few times. Keep up the good work. Well done to your cousin, what an acheivement it must be for her. Do they have a decent med school where she is? Pity she can't come here and study, we need lots of docs at the mo. Cool about Oscar doing the find and feed thing! He is a clever boy - must make it easier for you.
Amanda - picture is so cute! Got through the night without a scratch thanks to the socks! I will be putting them on every sleep now.
Simone - go the plum and apple. Watch out the plums don't give the the runs! I always remember my nana warning us not to eat too many off the tree because of it. At least you have found something she likes. Will check out blog now.
Re the naked thing - I cannot sleep without something on! Even if its just a singlet and knickers, but I cannot sleep nude (silly isn't it!). DH usually sleeps in boxers, but if its hot he will go starkers. Our house is air conditioned so I usually have shorts/skirt and tshirt on. It can get quite cold in her sometimes, but I would rather have goose bumps than sweat.
DH and I going out for dinner with one of my close friends and her DH. Over to Beaumaris to a restaurant we have been going to with them for 6 years! Its beautiful and I am so looking forward to it. MIL is coming over to mind kids. I love going out for dinner, esp on a hot night like tonight.
-
Ooooh, sounds nice mel :) Annelise sleeps on her tummy, she doesnt like it, generally wakes up crying so i have to go in and flip her over...
My house was cool until i cooked myself some lunch... now its so hot!! Its 35 out here atm, but feels so dry and yucky outside... When kids gets up going to set up their little clam pool in the shade so they can cool down a little bit... Declans up wandering the house atm... getting all my pots and pans out little buggar...
-
If I forget, Amanda, email me and I'll send the recipe. I'll try to remember to scan it this week - need to clear the study to get my laptop in there to attach to the printer. MIL has our desktop still (left it with her when we went to NZ) and the study is SO cluttered that I can't even find room to put down my 12 inch iBook!
Went for a walk with the dog, then to the library and borrowed Baby Love and some DVD's. Hoping to have this lounge room tidy in an hour so that I can sit here in front of the fan to watch a DVD. The house is a lot cooler than outside cos I shut up the curtains and pulled in some windows. Pretty good for a place with no aircon, actually. I would go naked except I'm expecting deliveries this week LOL!
Had lunch, was still hungry so had an NRG Maxx - much better now.
I'd like to erect our new wading pool and buy water in for it, but I don't know where DP would be happy putting it. I'm tempted to put it on the patio, but DP would hate that. He doesn't want it on the lawn, either, and he wanted to dig it in somewhere. No point buying water for it if we're only going to have to empty it again to move it when DP comes back...Oh, well, the local pool will have to do tomorrow!
-
i justify the kids going in their pool as i substitute it for a bath!! they still wash and everything, but just outside... Its a big treat for them. And i use pretty much the same as a bath. :)
-
i have such a headache atm, its so hot in here, but the 2 fans i have are in the kids rooms... have to wait until they get up to cool down...
Its just hit 35 here apparently... 38 tomorrow, and they reckon its going to cool down but then be up to 39 by tuesday YUCKO!!
ETA Come on IK, almost at 1000 posts...
-
The pool we got from my parents holds 5000 litres, so instead of buggering around with permits etc, we're going to get water carted to us, when we've got it in position. That's why I won't put it up yet, cos if I buy the water and DP comes back and doesn't like where I've put it...well, too bad, and I'll have to listen to his griping about it all summer long. He is the outdoor caretaker, to be fair, so I am merely a visitor and guest in our yard! He does ALL the work out there, so I can handle respecting his wishes for what happens out there. Dont' get me wrong, I get input into ideas, but once they're in place it's his turf!
Oooh, just read your post, Sim - I'm there! 1000 posts!
-
Congrats IK, you made it to 4 digits!!(i cant believe im almost at 3000!!!)
-
Good start to your blog, Simone :) Your posts are relative to mine in terms of children involved. i.e. I've got one kid, I've hit 1000 posts, you have 3 and you're nearing 3000...just a nerdy observation :P
I'm nearly tidy enough here to watch a DVD...
going to ignore the news about fires in the Paynesville area and I'll just assume that Metung is far, far away from all those fires. Not too worried, as my mum's overseas and my dad is returning today from NZ and will head to the hills, not Metung!
This fire season must hold the record for TFB days, just announced tomorrow is another total fire ban day...no BBQ's, Vic girls!
ETA, sorry Mel, meant to answer you before! Med schools over there can't be that crash hot because of the nature of the country, and it did actually occur to me that she could do some sort of exchange. She has learnt some english, but would need to really work on it some more (she thinks, possibly with some justification, that English is a stupid language!) to study abroad. It is such a huge achievement for my family. They think my mum is the bees knees cos she lives in Australia (few ever emigrate from Honduras), but now they have someone internal to aspire to. And I don't mean they should all become doctors, but that if they want any sort of education they can go out and get one to get a satisfying life IYKWIM
-
you nerd IK LOL!!! What ar you cooking for rory's arvo?? I have no idea what to make, i want to make something that travels well, as i will be walking and catching a train, tram and a bus...
-
hi girls,
I'm home after a month away - so strange being back in a small apartment after my parents HUGE house with HUGE acerage and the river - but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I'm pretty jealous you girls are meeting up.. I so wish I could come!
Congrats to Simone on 3,000 messages and IK for 1,000 - my my.. you both can chit chat can't you!!!
:-)
I'm going to check out the solids thread as Ally has been on pumkin and sweet potato for 2 weeks and now I think I should start lunch but I have no idea on what to give her... also maybe time for some thing else besides vegies for tea? Like rice or something? What do you all do????
-
Welcome home CC!! with re: to solids, i give Anneliese puree fruit for lunch and am about to start veges for dinner. I puree diff fruits, and make diff combinations (atm i have plum, mango, banana, and apple in the freezer atm) and sometimes i add some banana custard in to thicken it up (allie likes it better than the rice cereal...) i cook the veges in stock to give it more flavour, which the other 2 kids loved!! (and when they get old enought, you can make your own stock with ham bones and such, and leave the meat in...) Dinner time, ttfn!!
-
CC- welcome back! re: food, when Nixon first started we tried one food at a time and didnt introduce anything else for about 3 days, just so we could keep track if something didnt sit wsith him well or allergies.
So some fruits to try are apple, pear, banana, avacado, plum, peach, mango, then you can start mixing and matching Nixon has pear, apple & apricot in the freezer atm.
Veg you can try: potato,s potato, zucinni, brocolli, parsnip, corn, peas, carrot and again then start mixing them. Nixon has corn/pea/sweet potato/brocolli combo in the freezer atm.
Yeah like Sim said you can add custard or rice cerial to any of it to for a different taste again. I have the Organic baby banana porridge atm but also tried the custard powder which he liked too.
Hope that helps.
Today Nixon tried a vegemite sandwhich! he has had vege toast but gave him a sandwhich for lunch he loved it, big mess though! then he had some watermelon which he enjoyed sucking on but he is a better chewer now.
-
Howdy girls - what a lot of posts! I have been lurking but with a combo of catching up with friends (IRL!!), mothers group, doing a bit of work from home and FlyLady-ing, I haven't had much time to post.
First up, Nickel- I would really like to replicate the compact - maybe we could do a modified version here in BellyBelly. I understand the strict no-buy policy would clash with the promos for things like Hug-A-Bubs, but those things aside maybe we could suggest starting a thread on it. Dunno what our Mod thinks?? but I reckon we could give it a go. I am just too bushed to think about typing anything more than replies in here and the odd thread here and there, though!!
Mel, I have some MooGoo here, so Bath if it is too hard to find a suitable container for yours don't worry about bringing some. So Glad little Marley seems to be doing better with the eczema - I found a photo of Flynn the other day which showed his rash when it was at its peak - luckily for him it seemed to be a passing phase.
Ceecee, I give Flynn a similar variety to what Nickers gives Nixon. ATM he has sweet potato, zucchini, potato, swedes, pumpkin, apple/raspberry, mango, cauliflower, homemade chicken stock, apple/apricot and beef/mushroom casserole. I prefer to make it in idividual cubes of single foods and then grab a mixture for his meals. Brekky is usually fruit and baby porridge or 2 vitabrits and fruit. As fun as making Flynn's food is - I had the horrible thought the other day that for the next 15 years at least I am going to be intimately concerned with the makeup of his diet!! Yikes!! Like worrying about my own and DH's isn't enough!
IK that is fantastic about your cousin, and Amanda I love the piccy of your little cowboy! Yee-haw!
Sim, I love the comment your DH put on your blog! Hahahah!
Anyone heard from Jess??
Better go - pretty bushed! Just a quick question - does anyone else have TTC smilies on their "Advanced" reply to thread panel? Wonder if its just me cause we are TTC??
Speak to y'all tomorrow......
-
yeah i noticed that too rory mine are all TTC related!
well here we go again, just put nixon to bed and the carry on begins.... dh not here so i have to deal with him.
I think he is trying really hard to say dad too but its coming out "gag" atm!
-
nickers, I think your hotmail account is full - email with my address details just bounced
IKWYM about carry on at bedtime!!
-
oh, i havent been on hotmail for ages thats prob why, since i got that virus and i got rid of msn messenger i think, ive been lazy and havent downloaded it again.
Can you email it to nicole@newschool.com.au
Thanks
Nixon carried on, on and off eventually when dh got home went in there and within minutes he was alseep!
-
CC - I can understand how strange it must being home, good to have you back! Re solids, I give Marley rice cereal and fruit for breakfast, bottle for lunch, dinner usually pumpkin/zucchini/potato/sweet pototo. Due to her eczema she is on a limited diet, just incase of allergies. I have a list of low risk foods which I am supposed to try first. Will start giving lunch as well. Her fruit she has is only apple or pear. I think you can start to introduce meat now, vitamised like the old people have it LOL!!!!
Nic - MIL looked after the girls tonight and had trouble getting Marley to sleep too! She is just wriggling around the cot and is not happy when she can't move back. She said she dropped off after about 20 mins so not too bad. Lets see what tonight holds.
Rory - thanks for the MooGoo offer. I am willing to try anything to get rid of her awful cradle cap.
IK - we are lucky in Oz aren't we. Funny how they think your mum is so cool living in Oz, when we just take it for granted we live somewhere beautiful.
Had a beautiful dinner out tonight and it was still 29 degrees at 10.30pm. Might go and sit outside for while, house is freezing from air con but I don't want to turn it off yet as house will then warm up again!!! Night all - sleep well. :D
-
Mel can you please bring a copy of that allergy food list on Friday? I would like to see what is high/low risk....
Nic, sending the email now.....
-
morning ladies, just a quickie hello today, have an appointment and want to get it over and done with before it gets too hot... jess is ok, spoke to her yesterday (or day before!!) she's busy with the austprem stories (we are making a book, and are each telling our stories... mine's 5 pages long so far...) and i cant believe i forgot DH on my blog LOL.
Ill be back in later, going to do some shopping as well while im kidfree... and enjoy a boost juice without having to share it all!!
-
TTC #2 - wow. Can I ask if it's ok, but why so soon? I mean I want one more and everything is going as well as can be expected but the thought of toddlers and babies at the same time just does my head in. But I'm also kind of glad there are gals out there who are loving being a mummy so much they are prepared to go again so quick!
NUDE - can't do it! I'm beginning to wonder if I'll even be able to sleep without a bra again! Just find boobies bouncing around too uncomfortable! But putting out the washing nude?? hahaha - if you knew how our backyards all were! Maybe if I had the body for it?
KAREN - I worry about the baby choking on the little toys too, you know the barbie shoes, hairbands etc. What do you guys do about this kind of thing?
NICKERS-
Nixon has very similar behaviour to Ruby at the mo with the tummy sleeping and fussing. Usually the prob is that they roll over on their tummy and because they are tired they can't remember or don't have the energy to roll back! It got so bad one night, I remember popping ruby into her highchair (it's like a padded rocker thing) to sleep as i was tired of getting up and turning her over. Had to warn DH though so he didn't think I'd left her overnight there and forgotten her! Can't remember why I didn't just bring her to bed with us, might have been really hot or something.
Do you just puree the solids in a blender? Is that fine enough?
IK - that's so cool re. Oscar F&Feed! I also tried MTM feeding too, Ruby looked at me very surprised!! and You might not like Babylove! Anyway she's totally wrong re. teething, formula and colic. But otherwise she's aussie, and pretty good. Lots of good info.
CC- hey there! good to see you again. Yep, the thread is full of the ladies chitchatting ;) (and they are all going to get to see each other anyway! so jealous!) - you've got to learn to speed read and skim if you are a once a dayer like me!!
LMG - You went out to Dinner?? SO jealous - how was it?
Compact
I'm quite serious about trying to start/thinkabout the compact nobuy policy thing. I almost get anxiety attacks about the amount of clutter and stuff we have. I loved when I was pregnant that I had like 5 things to wear. I like that simplicity.
I think each person has to decide for themselves what their definition of "nobuy" is, cause I'm not 100% sure I can give up chocolate as a non-essential...or alcohol...or coffee. Mostly I just need to not buy clothes. Anyway, I'll have a think about how we might be able to do this. Sounds like you've got it going a bit anyway with the staplers and Moogoo!
-
Well, Oscar's up - damn this hot weather, no waking up at 9.30! Not to worry, we had a great sleep after getting to bed after midnight. Took us to brigade last night.
Meats - now, I'm no authority on this topic, as I have barely got Oscar on solids (he's just not that interested and I won't force the issue at this stage - I know of older babies who are perfectly healthy and only just starting solids, so I'm not worried), but I remember being told that red meat should be left for 12 months, but chicken can be introduced sooner...just don't ask me how soon, cos i don't know!
I described my slice to my sister and she said that hers didn't have enough bite, and that they are better when they do...mine has bite, yay! Shall I try it again for this party of ours? Or should I try something savoury? Will there be enough savoury? I could do celery sticks and dips instead?
The fan is back on, but only as a pre-emptive measure, as I was quite enjoying the temp in the house (but I do like a bit of heat).
OK, gonna change a nappy and then tackle this table before the electrician comes for a quote. I am so impressed with how tidy my tidy areas have remained since I did them - just proves the DP is a major problem in my tidy house efforts!
-
Nickel. i had 3 children in 3 years... Xander's 3.5, Declan 21 months (21 months between them) and Anneliese is 7 months (14 months between her and Declan) Life gets very hectic sometimes, but for the most part, my house is clean, the kids are happy and clean (:D) and im relatively sane.... I love m,y hectic life, adn sometimes think about #4... but have decided to wait a few years on that one (when Anneliese is about 3 or 4, that way i can enjoy having a baby at home while the kiddies are at school!!)
-
OK, should we do something (either post in here or do an email round) of what we are bringing?? Im going to buy some nice camembert and crackers pepper crackers (if thats ok with everyone!!) and if its not too hot between now and tomorrow lunchtime, i may just make a sweet... we have all arvo to eat it!! May have to ring mum up for recipes...
Oh and i forgot to add i rang my sister for her 21st last night (she's up in a mine in northern WA) and she's so homesick :( But she's on a starting wage of 51,000pa in the kitchen... and just moved to cleaning rooms. If she works for the mine and not through an agency, she can earn 81,000pa cleaning rooms... i think i just found my calling! She's up there hoping to get into truck driving (she's 5 foot nothing and has her heavy rigid license :D) as you can make well over 100,000pa... *siigh* and we're living on 35,000pa inc super...
-
Instead of editing, I'll post, because by the time I read the interim posts, I'm sure someone had already started another post!
Nickel - Ruby looks like such a doll! Um, you are right, I don't like Babylove! I started to read it last night and found myself skipping so many sections because they started to read all wrong to me and then decided that the whole book would have to be given a big miss. I didn't actually find anything in it that I liked (will keep looking though) - I don't even like her writing style. It is a shame because I heard people liked it a lot, and it's just a bit prescriptive for my liking. That's what I love about the Sears and Pinky, there are no prescriptions, just philosophies and anecdotes. Thanks for the confirmation about my first impressions!
As for TTC#2, I'm in no hurry, although DP is keen to just let it happen if it does, just like Oscar 'happened' (although it was only a matter of time with him, really - we just went off the pill and did our thing!). Ideally, I'd like to give Oscar and clear 2-2 and a half year run on his own, but DP seems to want one sooner. He has so much developing to do in these years that I want to be completely present for them! But, who knows. I am definitely not making any concerted efforts for #2 this year. DP's funny - wants me to finish my course, but then suggests we push out another kidlet...it wasn't supposed to be part of the strategy!
Boobies on the loose - it did take some getting used to, and I have a DD to E cup...but I sleep with a cloth handy to soak up leakage from the boob he's NOT feeding from (let down is still a b!tch!), but I'm loving it again. Trust me, I never thought I'd sleep out of a bra again, but I took the plunge!
-
I never slept in a bra IK (except first days of bf, when you need to have something to soak up all the stuff thats constantly coming out!! Some days i dont wear a bra at all... But thats because i have tiny BB's!!!
Any melbunians coming to the BBQ in Queens park, Moonee Ponds on Feb 18?? And there's a sexyland meetup (on in dandenong and one in airport west) with coffee after at hard rock cafe in the city this sat from 11am... coffee at 2pm... I though that sounds pretty interesting!! lots of meets happening atm...
-
Good morning Junies... found it impossible to post yesterday... every time I raised my fingers there was some crisis... and today DH is back at work and I'm alone with bored kids and a hot house :( Still I've got a new cordless phone system hooked up today so I'm looking forward to my first caller... hopefully it will be DH as he always calls me at lunchtime. The phone system also functions as a baby monitor which will be handy when I need to hang clothes or am playing with Wade outside and Niall's inside alone sleeping. I guess most people have cordless phones these days... but for me it's a real treat :)
Now I've got Wade hanging off my arm :( sorry girls, I'll catch up properly tomorrow... I'll make chocolate/hazelnut brownies as they should travel well. Thanks for the email Rory :)
back later when the kids are occupied... as soon as I sit down they gravitate toward me.
-
Well, blow me down, Bath, it does too! I've just picked up my cordless, pressed intercom to check and, yes! It's an intercom as well as a handset finder!!! I feel like such a simpletonLOL
-
Bath I LOVE my cordless phone - it has a hands free setting which is great cause I can feed, hang up washing, dust, etc while talking.
Simone, I will try to make the Queens Park meet up.
OK, sounds like we need a list of what we are eating tomorrow. I will do a fruit platter and tonight will make a savoury slice of some kind (zucchini? pumpkin? rice?). Simone is going to bring cheese and crackers and maybe a sweet, Bath is going to bring brownies. Mel and IK??
Flynn is manky - will BRB
-
*sneaking in for another post while Wade is outside*
I've got another Compact item if anyone wants it... I could bring it along tomorrow...wish i could take a piccy and load it onto my site but my dig camera software has thrown a spaz :( it's a single girl's doona cover and pillow case. Now that Verity has her double bed we'll never need it again... also I'm going to bring over some small babies girls' clothing for Sim and Mel to check out...if nobody wants the items it's no problem to put in the charity bin near our train station on the way home.
IK: I was so happy for your cousin too... let us know how she gets along... is it a 6 year course?
so many other things I wanted to reply to... Verity is about to go over to a friend's place for the afternoon... she has been stirring Wade up a bit today... hopefully he will calm down after she's gone and I'll get a chance to get on here again...
and is it wishful thinking but is that a slightly cooler breeze I can feel???
ETA: it is! it is a cool breeze!!!
I have the TTC icons too... but there's no way known we're TTC!!!! I'm actually becoming more and more certain that our family is complete... it's sooo hard with a baby and a toddler/small child... i honestly don't know how Sim/Jess etc does it! I thought I was capable after working in childcare for 5 years but at home it's just so relentless! I agree Sim, if you're going to have another it would be nicer for all concerned to wait until the boys at least are in primary school... from about grade 5 when they are at the age when they can walk home/grab a lift with friends would be even better! But you've got time on your side darl... I guess most women aren't so lucky and have to have children closer if they want more.
ETA: DH just rang! :) My first call... fantastic... I was feeding Naill at the time too... I'm going to adjust the ringtone next... apparently there are polyphonic ones in the menu I can select and link it to his number so when he calls me i will hear "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" LOL In the mean time I need to help Wade who has just informed me that he needs to do "massive wees and poos mum!!!"
