Ive just uploaded a couple of pics of the kiddies on my website under "BB Junies folder"
I can beleive we got all of them sitting together! didnt last long but i think we managed to get a few good pics! Look at my fatty... i weighed him on my scales the other day
9.5kg!!! he's turned into a heffa!

I think everyone should come over to my place before we say bye bye, i forgot to mention it whilst there but i had mentioned a while back if you guys were interested we go to the minature railway in Eltham then back to my place for a chatter drinks/coffee. It only runs wed & Sun so let me know if you are interested, if not the railway then just over here is fine also.
Nixon had so much fun today he was awake for 4.5hrs! He was asleep before we got to the end of the street & i managed a transfer to bed once we got home!

Karen- i spoke to dh today (In Sydney) he said it was way too hot, he has been driving around looking at houses all day and said it was a stinker. you must have got our weather up from yesterday. Can you put your feet in a cold bucket or something for a little bit? amazing how much your body will cool down, it sucks when there is no escaping it.
dee- Congratulations thats awesome! $750 a week eishh, how many days and how many children is that for?

What a lovely day... thankyou again Rory :) You're house is coming along beautifully... very interesting looking at the before and after shots and I never realised it was your childhood home! Great to meet your DH too... very clever man he is... looking forward to seeing how your home evolves as your children grow older... I say "children" because I can just feel that it will be a home full of them! LOL Wade was also asleep before we left Glenroy! Niall fell alseep not long after. Also, pleeeease give me a chance to provide you all with a batch of properly cooked brownies!!! I didn't realise they were so under done *blush* the last time I made them they were slighty overdone ie too dry... I over compensated... dang! But I loooved that salad you made Mel! I agree: unusual ingredients but it all worked together perfectly... going to make it this weekend.... is the recipe online anywhere? Also thanks for the slice recipe IK... going to give that one a go too... I agree it had exactly the right ammount of "chewiness", bravo!

Bath - Declan was asleep pretty much straight away too!! And your brownies were great, even if they were underdone - i loved the almonds in them , i usually make them, with almonds as i dont like hazelnuts or walnuts.... so they were great :)

Ta Sim :) I also meant to thank you for waiting in at Flinders Street Station for me and showing me the way to Rory's. Anneliese was so settled today amongst all the boys! So was Marley. I'm so looking forward to taking another piccy of the Melbourne Junie Babes in maybe 6 months time. Nic you will have to return for visits!

Hey girls - what a ripper day! Marley was so tired but fought sleep most of the way home, she nodded off about 10 mins from home. Freeway was super heavy after Toorak Road, so got off at Warrigal Rd instead. Only took me 50 mins which wasn't too bad. When I bathed her and got her into her pj's she was screaming feral. She just wanted to go to bed, so quickly gave her a bottle, some solids, 5 mins rest then off to bed. Out like a light and haven't heard a squeak out of her. BTW - the food was fantastic, what a beautiful lunch - THANKS GIRLS :D

Rory - thank you so much for letting us bombard your home. Its looking fantastic and your DH is just lovely. Very interesting to chat too. He can come to my house and renovate anytime after he finishes his thesis LOL!!!!

Nic - it was so great to meet you. Nixon is just so gorgeous and I love the picture of him and Marley. I just showed DH and he loved it too - they make a very cute couple LOL!!! So good to see him thriving so well after being born so little. You are obviously feeding him well. I could have pinched those cheeks all day (bet he will hate people doing that to him). Would love to have a catch up before you leave.

Bath - the brownies were yum - nice and goofey! The sweet potato salad recipe was on ninemsn recipe finder under low carb recipes. If you can't find it, let me know and I will email the link to you. Verity is a such a lovely girl too. I wish I had of bought Chelsea with me as I am sure they would of had fun together. Chelsea loves the "big girls".

IK - loved the beetroot dip, I'm going to get some tomorrow! Did you catch up with your cousin?

CC - glad Ally went OK with her shots. The salad you mentioned sounds yum too - might have to try that one as well. Health centre said similiar thing to me about Marley not gaining lots of weight (she gained 750g in 2 months), so I just started to slowly increase her solids and now she is loving them and having 3 meals a day. Some days she will eat more than others, but I let her dictate - she knows when she has had enough. I am sure Ally will love having an extra meal included.

karen & amanda - you poor girls suffering in the heat. Nic suggestion of the feet in buckets sounds good! Or sit in the bath with some cool water in it.

IM thinking about getting a golass of wine, i have a bottle of the cabernet rose that rory gave me last week, i have a glass or so left in it... i should polish it off. I was going to go out tonight, just felt energetic (was thinking of heading into the casino or to a kareoke bar) but couldnt get SIL to come with me. So i stayed home and did some washing.

Still sticking to my guns, DH is in bed without dinner as he still hasnt cleaned the kitchen...

Ok, I gotta go, rock hard boobs, and leaking so have to express!! Ruby had daycare today so no way she is going to wake up!

Cee Cee I didn't think of that, should look into that one.
I think the fee is quite reasonable (just seems alot)it works out to about $50 a day per child for my three younger ones. Although it doesn't include before and after school care for my older two.

Our Sad News

DH is off to Darwin on Monday afternoon (couldn't get out of working these couple of shifts). Our Nephew committed Suicide last night, he was 22. No one knows why, he seemed happy enough. He had been out with his brother and cousin the night before last and cousin popped over yesterday morning and worked on the car together. brother turned up yesterday arvo/evening and didn't get an answer and just assumed he was out. He went back over this morning to collect him for work and broke in since he didn't answer and found him in his room. The questions of why will never be answered. It's just so sad. I can still see his cheeky shy grin. (long sigh)
But and AND
I don't want to take the kids up (some huge family issuses with that particular side of the family)(Scared BIL will go all psychotic after he's smoked afew and drunk many, he has before, don't want to expose kids to that) but DH has to go, without question. I know he does..... ohhhh and I feel so guilty and such a B!&@#, cause I can't help think it is just sooooo bad timing. Our house settles on Friday, we are waiting on a final bill to be sent so we can pay it, out of an acc that only Michael can touch, I am packing to move over a thousand kilometres away for ever, by myself with 5 children getting under my feet, and have to be there next weekend so that I can get to the school on Monday to sort out enrolments, uniforms and all books, I would have had it organised earlier but the school ran out of enrolment packs and told me to come in on the 22nd to sort it all out. Plus I have to also enrol younger three into the day care centre on the 22nd aswell. So now I won't have Michael here to help move all the bigger stuff,and do runs to the dump and vinnies bin. He will have to try and organise settlement on our Nephews funeral day scheduled for next Friday and have all finance issues resolved with me as a go between before Wednesday,(my last day at the clinic plus needles for Allanah (Hep A) and Nathan (6Mon, I know a little late) it's all just one big nightmare. I'm praying that we have signed all that we need to sign otherwise it will be a further nightmare. I know it will all work out. I am struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It probably sounds really selfish and maybe I am, but I just can't help feeling this way.
I'm just feeling very alone and overwhelmed and in a severe need of a few good nights sleep.
Nathan sleeps right through and has for quite awhile now, Thank Goodness. He generally goes down by 8pm and is up anywhere after 6.30am, usually 7.30am.
Well I'm naughty it's very late I am all packed out and I should go to bed but I just wanted to say hi.

Ohhh Ohh Ohh BTW I nearly forgot just after Midnight I had an intruder. .....
I heard a noise outside and my ear *****ed up as a big knock came to the door followed by the screen door and then the glass door being opened and in walked this teenaged drunken kid (16-18), as he opened the door I yelled out hello, are you right there, he looked at me with such suprise and confusion on his face, it was so funny, I said "I think you got the wrong house mate" "Ohhh do I"? he reckons. "Yes you do so go on go home or where ever it is your supposed to be", he stood there just looking at me so I added unless you want to help me pack.....? he smiled and said ohhhhhhh nooo thanks,.... see ya", I was just laughing at him and promptly jumped up and locked the door when he left. ROFL Tweach me for not locking my doors.
It is Tieri, we have no real crime.

Mel- it was great to meet you and little Miss Marley yesterday too, she is so petite i think Nixon took a fancy to her!
Nickel- looking at moorebank at the moment, that is where i grew up and there is a new estate out there which looks really nice. DH is a sutherland shire boy and would like to live out there ofcourse but bit too mus dosh at the moment. Friends of ours just bought a 50yr old house 2bedroom tiny tiny house in Mirand for $500,000. They have done some amazing stuff to it inside, it was horrid and they gutted it, but we couldnt live in something so small all our furntiure wouldnt fit!

well i am off to scrapbooking day today, bit bummed though dh was meant to have nix for the day but not here so he has to come with me, so i will prob only get half of what i wanted to but anyway... thats where having family around would have come in handy!

Well, im having a day at home, DH organised to take the kids out while i was going to the sexyland meet, and i've just discovered its cancelled.... so i've nowhere to go!! Might have to clean the still dirty kitchen....grrr at dh!!

Thanks girls, No I don't have anyone to help as my friends are now all out of town and my sister is 150+km away and told me very firmly that since I wanted to leave her I can pack myself! lol,...She wasn't joking, She is very upset that I am leaving her. But hey she now has a place to stay free on the Gold Coast, so she should come for a little drive and help her big sis out. It's Ok slow and steady wins the race.
RE: the intruder, so funny, if I lived anywhere else I would have screamed the neighbourhood down and rung the cops, lol. Yeah it did happen before but everything was locked up then, I wonder if it's the same kid??? Lol Well better go haven't done a thing today yet.

Well, another day of cleaning for me here, as sexyland has been cancelled.

Well, I start work 2 days a week next week (one from home, one at office) and boy did I pick the PERFECT time to ramp it up. I did a quick check of finances this morning and we will be cutting it fine this month financially. Not that fine we won't eat, mind you, but I will put off buying more photo albums till next pay day. Biggest bummer is house rates are due on 15 Feb and I just organised to go and see an X-rated Jim Henson puppet show (yes you read correctly!!) during the comedy fest in March but I have to pay my mate this week (she bought 8 tix at $55 a pop for our group - I don't want her to be out of pocket for too long!!). I have got so used to not having to "worry" about cash in bank that it will be a real shock to have "just enough".

Gonna wash my floor today - I am soooo glad I have floorboards and not carpet - having 6 babies and 3 kids made me and DH realise how hectic a family will be!! Bath is no doubt giving a knowing nod!

I was going to help you clean rory, thats why i asked what time did you want to get rid of me, DH told me he would come pick me up later if i wanted to stay...

The show sounds quite different... my show i picked for the start of this year was going to see Pink in concert in April. Its my early birthday present!! I also want to go see Evanescence, but cant go spending too much money..

Dee - I don't think you are being selfish - a move with 5 kids is a pretty big ask or TWO people, let alone one person. It is just an unfortunate confluence of events (I don't even quite know what confluence means, but I think it fits in here, so I'm going to use it without looking up the dictionary LOL) and you need to worry about your sphere and DH can look after his other sphere. I also think you have made the right choice about distancing your kids from that environment. I am so sad about your nephew, too. Oscar looked at me funny (he was feeding at the time) when I read your post because I got teary. I got teary for his friend who had to find him :( Apart from the sheer waste, it's the people who have to deal with the fall out that makes suicide such an awful thing to be involved with. Any death, but one that didn't need to happen. How or never, what's done is done and DH is right to be with his family - but everything on your moving house end of things will need to go to a strict schedule to come off well, huh? Can you ask a local group to help you with the packing? A rotary club, fire brigade, scouts etc? They are all there for community service, after all!
The meet up yesterday was SOOOOO nice! Thanks Rory! I've seen the 'handy work' of engineers in my time, and your place falls into a nice "well considered" category, rather than the "unnecessarily over-engineered" category! I took loads of photos but I have yet to upload them and sift through to the good ones.
I did head straight over to my cousin's house and Oscar was awake the whole time, but in a contented fashion. She is moving next weekend to a rental around the corner from her current place, so I timed it well - she usually visits me so I thought that while I was coming off my mountain I would visit her to even up the scales. It was a great catch up and I ended up going to the pub for a meal with her, her fiance and their neighbours. Got home just after midnight! Oscar did so well, even though he was strung out from tiredness. He didn't sleep until I was approaching Springvale Rd on the Eastern Fwy! Everyone was so impressed with his nature - the neighbour actually recently miscarried and we were a bit concerned that Oscar might upset her, but then we decided that we can't tiptoe around people at Oscar's expense, or we would have had to head home. Turns out she was perfectly fine and her husband played with him and laughed his head off everytime Oscar grabbed his beer bottle...even let him suck on the top of it! So it was fine and I had a night out, quite impromptu :) I would have stayed overnight, except I hadn't fed Odin and had to get home for puppy cuddles!
Oscar has fallen asleep in the Ergo again and if I put him down I may be able to put out some washing. It's a bit windy, but I was hoping to get to my horse today...there is always tomorrow when there's a bit less I want to do during the day...
Funny thing: When I got home I put my new/2nd hand carved table on the rug and brought the dog in. As I was dishing out his food I heard him growling. I thought he could hear possums outside. He kept up his low growl and then I thought maybe we had an intruder hiding somewhere (LOL out your story, Dee!), but confident enough in Odin's scare factor looks and growl not to worry too much. As I crept around the house (it's realistically too small to hide in!) it dawned on me what was giving Odin the heebie jeebies...the new table! As soon as I went over to it, Odin slunk further back, and when I tipped it onto its side (to pre-empt Oscar tipping it over) he scooted right out of the house! Ha, so much for an intruder!
Oscar is now snoring...a good time to put him down...
ETA: Rory - floorboards are the bees knees! If we had carpet in the main areas (planning to pull up remaining carpet in rooms later in the year) I'd be forever with a bucket and detergent sponging, but with a paper towel I can wipe up Oscar's throw ups...and also where he spreads the throw ups enthusiastically around with his fingies!

Dee - how awful about your cousin. It must be very hard for everyone, not knowing why? One of the those questions that can never be answered. Love to you and your family. I can understand why you are so stressed, can the older girls help out? Sometimes they can be more a hindrance than a help! PML reading about the intruder! Bet he got a shock when you asked him about packing LOL!!! You are lucky you live in a nice safe area, most of us would have screamed the house down. I forgot to congratulate you earlier on getting accepted to Uni. What a wonderful acheivement for you. After looking after 5 kids and a household, going to uni should be a breeze LOL!!!

Nickel - spot on! Both my girls are a bit too determined sometimes lOL!

Karen - glad you had fun in the bath. Swimming lessons are great fun. I started Chelsea at 6mths and she is a fantastic confident swimmer now (she still has weekly lessons) and I will start Marley in June (I wanted to wait and go with another friend who baby is a bit younger).

Nic - have fun scrapbooking today. If we do get to do a meet at your place, I would love to see your scrapbooking. I have got so much stuff here, but haven't yet started! I don't know where to start. I need some inspiration. Pity you don't live closer, you could have dropped Nixon off and he could play with his new girlfriend LOL!! It does suck with no family around to help out.

Rory - glad we didn't create too much destruction LOL!! Jim Henson show sounds rather interesting. Look forward to hearing more about it. Hope all goes well with the xtra work and as you said, the finances will be better! I can't wait to go back to full pay in July cause at the mo I get 60% of my part time salary, which is better than a kick up the backside but I could always do with more LOL!!!

Simone - you need a day off cleaning! Go out and wander the shops, have a bit of you time. The housework isn't going anywhere. Go to a movie even. I used to go to movies on my own when I was pregnant and finished work. I didn't have many other friends home during the day, so no one to go with me. It was actually quite nice!

IK - what a great night out you had! I love those impromptu events, much more enjoyable when you don't plan on having them. Oscar is such a good boy, you could take him anywhere. Got the taste for beer already - watch out lOL!! PML about Odin being scared of the table - big dogs can be such woosers (sp?). I agree with carpet too - its a bugger! We have carpet in bedrooms only and even that bugs me. Rest of the house is floorboards and tiles, much easier to clean up.

Morning girls...haven't read the posts today yet... just flying through... been to the optometrists with Verity... we're both fine for the next 2 years now... it had been 2 since we last went... and Wade will have to get a checkup too soon... now I am at home making Mel's salad... just doing it from memory... I'll check the posts to see if you mentioned where it was listed online... just got the diced sweet potato cooking at this point in sweet chilli sauce. We're all going to Caulfield today to spend the afternoon/dinner with an ex colleague of mine that I worked with at Shelford (Verity's old school)... she hasn't seen Niall yet... I'll go online at her house to show her the piccys from yesterday. Also I lost a bit of sleep last night when I realised that I had forgotten to give Rory the stapler!!!! So sorry matey! Geeze, I'm a real space cadet some days...
