Nic - its sad when they are in a nursing home, its a bit depressing walking in there. Your nan has done well being there for 5 years, I think most of them go down hill a bit when they go into care. I'm sure she would have loved seeing Nixon, it really seems to perk them up. How are you guys doing, have you gotten over your colds? Hope all goes will with your SIL, any news yet?
Julie - I hope Will gets better soon, poor little man! If Perth weather was anything like Melb weather today it would have been perfect to stay in pj's and watch dvd's all day! I find it sad that our grandparents end up looking so frail, nothing like what they used to, but I suppose its bound to happen to all of us.
Dad saw nan again today and she is not too bad, just very weak. She cannot feed herself now which makes things hard and see can't eat very much.
How bloody cold is it in Melb today? I took Chelsea to kinder and then didn't leave house for the rest of the day. Chelsea came home very excited as they are getting a rabbit and babies at the kinder next week. They have them for 4 weeks and they are keeping the mummy rabbit as a permanent pet. They have a veg garden set up to feed the rabbit and the kids are responsible for maintaining the garden and feeding/caring for the rabbit. Good lessons to be learnt for them. Marley has started to stand on her own the past two days, not for very long but she thinks she is pretty cool when she does it!
My GF sent me an email today with this little caption on the bottom, which I thought was beautiful
Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble
remembering how to fly.
