CC - so good to hear from you. Oh how exciting if you are pregnant!!!! Keep us posted. Love your ticker photo, just beautiful.

Amanda - you poor thing, hopefully you can try to take it easy (or easier!) today, which I know is hard with 2 at home. These are the times when the DVD player comes in handy to keep the kids amused.

Emishka - hi! I don't think we have meet, I joined the Junies late last year.

Jess - Happy 1st Birthday to Patrick! Hope he has a wonderful day.

Housework day today (boring!!!!). I have even been on my hands and knees cleaning the floor in our ensuite and behind the toilet. Good washing day too. Off to do grocery shopping when DH gets home from work very soon.

    Catch you all later.

Well after my last post we had high drama here. I got a call from Lockie's childcare it goes like this:

    me: hello
them: hello Amanda, you better came down quick Lockie's had an accident and it's quite bad
    me: oh ok(shocked), what happened?
them: umm he fell over and has quite a bad cut on his head, do want us to call an ambulance?
me: umm no I'll be there soon.
them: we'll pick you and the boys up
    me: ok thanks.

So they picked me up and we get there and Lockie's head is heavily bandaged and they explained that he was on the bridge and tripped and hit his head and cut it open. So I'm in tears and Lockie's cuddled up and Wyatt's running around playing with the kids and I've got Cody in my arms, they offer to drive me to the hospital and I kindly accept. Lockie's teacher is also upset and wants me to call when he's been seen. So we get to the hospital and go into triage and they take off the bandage and it's the worst cut I've seen it's wide and deep. They patch him and we wait for about 20mins and they take us to the suture (sp) room and the doctor glued up his cut and said that because the cut is border line if the glue doesn't hold then they have to put him under and stitch him up. Touch wood the glue is working and I've had to not let him eat for ages, just incase, he's just eaten, so hopefully it will stay that way so that we don't have to go to the hospital again.

Just a quick post to say Amanda, I hope that Lockie is ok - how scary for you. The poor little mite will need lots of cuddles from his mummy and daddy I think. Hopefully the glue will stick and that you wont have to make any more trips to the hospital.

An update on Alex; he is a cheeky little sod with a mammoth personality and a mammoth temper too. He is just about walking - we have had a few times where he has done 6 or 7 steps at a time, but mostly it is 3 or 4. I managed to capture one of the 7 steppers on video so was so pleased at that as he looked so funny. Still having issues with his nightime sleeping and have been referred to the sleep clinic at the childrens hospital in Perth.

Nickers,Rory and Ali, hope that the pregnancies are going well and that you are out of that "tired" stage.

Amanda - that sounds so nasty, you must have been so worried - hope the glue works for Lockie. Oscar has had his head glued at about 10 months after he fell head first onto a metal button that went straight in. his cut was bad but doesn't sound as bad as lockies - fingers crossed for you.

    Julie x

ETA - Jess - Happy 1st birthday to Patrick, hope he has a great day. x

Oh, Amanda, sweet! All crossable limbs and extremities are crossed that the glue holds - what a sickening phone call to get
    Emishka - hi!
CC - Ahhhhhhhhh! Good luck!!! Might not be according to plan, but you gotta roll with the punches and everything works out in the end, doesn't it? My plan is not to be preggers for ages yet, but if it happens, we go to plan B And to think how much planning went into Allie - if this is it, you didn't even have to try! Keep us posted - I was actually thinking of you today
Mel - perfect washing weather - gale force winds! Hope you got everything done. I was thinking of you, too, today, as I made me way around Building 17 thinking how it's great you don't work in it despite it's inside refurbishments in places...it's still an ugly building!
Julie - how's your headspace going?
Happy Birthday to Pat, Charlee and Jack (belated)!
There's been fallout from my conversation with my mum...I wish I'd taken your advice before I called her, Mel! Uh-oh, better grovel to her, cos it's not like she's gonna change any time soon...
Got a Tupperware party tonight, so better go get dinner and get out of here so I can get back and spend some quality time with assignment number 3 (officially overdue).

Not much going on here, still struggling through 4 mornings of work, I have a feeling I may have bitten off a little more than I can chew. I guess it would b ok if I wasnt so tired all the time, I really hang out for my day off on Fridays, I guess it doesnt help that we have something on EVERY weekend untill the second weekend in July (and we move house in amongst it all).

Amanda_ read your post in the boo hoo room, what a horrible shock for you. It sounds like the day care is a really caring place though, it was so nice of them to pick oyu up and take you to the hospital.

IK- Good luck with your assignment. I hop that it get a sudden flow of creative genius and you get it finished in no time at all.

CC- Great to hear from you, I guess only time will tell if you are UTD, how exciting. I am sure that even though it wasnt planned, if you are preg you will cope just fine.

Happy Birthday Pat- I think i got confussed and thought it was yesterday (blame in on preggy brain)

Anyway feeling a little cr@ppy this arvo, so I am going to have a shower and see if that helps me to feel better. I hope everyone is taking care of themselves!

Amanda - big for you and Lockie, poor little man! That must have been quiet frightening, so glad to hear he is OK and I hope the glue holds for him. I agree with Ali about the childcare centre and good of them to come and get you. They must feel terrible about it. Hopefully tomorrow brings some smiles.

Nic - glad that working one day on, one day off works well. I will be doing the same thing when I return. You and Nixon get better soon.

IK - Building 17 is horrible! Level 5 & 6 aren't too bad (which are the floors I go to) but overall it awful. I will be there next Friday to sort out some things before I return to work, what day/s are you normally there? I did get lots of work done today. I have NO washing left (that doesn't happen very often!) and it all dried (with the help of the dryer too LOL!!). Good luck with your mum, hope you find a happy place that works for both of you. Have fun at Tupperware party.

Ali - 4 days is a lot esp when pregnant, hopefully you get some energy back soon.

Got a busy day tomorrow. We are holding a garage sale at my nans house on Saturday so we have got lots of set up to do tomorrow. MIL looking after the girls until DH gets home from work and I have a feeling it will take all day to finish. Then garage sale Saturday until 3pm then sort out what to do with the leftover stuff. Most will prob go to the local op shop.

Hope tomorrow is a good day for everyone

I've just been naughty...I just ate a chocolate icecream thing. A bit of self-loving - does that count for Flylady? Is it 5 mins or 15 mins of self-loving? I also bought Tupperware. But I needed those labels, as well as the snack cups I forgot to order another time. Oh, and another spice set. Then there's my mum's party tomorrow night...
Thanks, Mel - I spoke to my mum tonight and apologised for escalating the topic again. I told her that I had been thinking about it more coming up to Oscar's birthday. Anyway, I don't think we'll ever see eye to eye on it, which is a shame because as long as she won't apologise for it, DP says he will never forgive her and he won't be going up there with me to visit them. I hate the idea of driving nearly 4 hours on my own with Oscar only to get there and have ... no buffer...for at least one night. Garage sale sounds ace! The local op shop will just love you! I was going to sell a few things around here and decided to just give them away. Stacks of novels and other books. Can't be bothered advertising them in bulk lots, so off they go to various op shops.
Ali - hope a shower helped! I know how you feel about biting off more than the mandible can handle at any one time...but you're working 4 days a week, so no wonder you're feeling it! Really do try to get some 'me time', even if it's just a brisk walk around the block first thing in the morning?
CC - my exclamation in my last post was supposed to read like an excited squeal - I was so exciteed that I didn't go back to try to explain that!
Better go blow my nose and get on with this assignment...

OMG Amanda - you poor thing, I hope Lockie heals quickly...

thanks for your thoughts girls... yes will totally keep you all posted...

IK, if you go to the tupperwear party my sister recommends their lunchbox containers, as at pre-school / school you are not allowe cling wrap and her containers have lasted 4 years to date and are perfect. He hee - your !!!!!! - I think that is a more appropriate response anyway... but yes, funny how much planning went into No 1 compaired to No 2.... wonder how many days till I can test??? I think 10?... gawd...

Mel: this photo was taken last week in Vanuatu - it is cute I agree, Ally is actually laughing but it is too dark to see which is a bit of a shame... but I still know the moment and love the photo... thanks for your nice comment.

On a side note: Ally has totally gone off her food - she is sprouting 4 top teeth (her first), but it is quite upsetting for me to spend hours buying/cutting/cooking/cleaning up all this expensive organic food and she just will NOT eat any of it, and has not for 2 days now.... driving me batty... she will eat sandwiches, cut up banana... but nothing else.. anyone else going through this?????

Cee-Cee: Tori just went through the EXACT same thing with her food, and I was quite frustrated ( I did work out later that she was cutting teeth too) I think that their gums are just extra sensitive to hot, cold, and it hurts to bite/ chew. Dont worry it does pass, Tori now has her appetite back with Gusto, and is eating more than she ever has in each meal (making up for lost time I think)

Amanda- I hope that you and Lockie have had a much better day today!

Well I have had a really productive day today, it is the first day I have had at home in Forever, and I have done 4 loads of washing, made a batch of pumpkin soup, and a batch of lemonade scones (mmmmmm delicious with jam and cream), I have cleaned out my gross microwave, emptied and reloaded the dishwasher. I am about to pick up the toys and tidy the lounge before Tori wakes up from her sleep, and then I am going to put my feet up before I have to go to work this afternoon (or did I forget to mention I am working 2 jobs at the moment.........silly woman, it will be finished next week).

Glad to hear everyone is well.

Rory- love your new Avater is that your lovely window with a nice view from your kitchen you and Flynn are in! and thanks Bath for updating mine also!

ive just been cleaning all day. I cleaned ALL of Nixon's toys, disinfected them. the house is smelling and feeling a lot cleaner. MIL left the house in a puff thismorning so ive taken the opportunity that she hasnt been here all day (or her dogs) to get all the cleaning done that i wanted to.
tomorrow i have a scrapbooking day! looking forward to the me time! DH gets to look after nixon ALL day tomorrow.

    Hello ladies..
Thanks for all the best wishes on Pat's birthday. We didn't do anything special as the family was spread around, but the kids gave him a wonderful rendition of HAPPY BIRTHDAY and they were waving sparklers, so he thought it was pretty good. I went to make him a No.1 cake but the cake was stale so I made a birthday trifle instead! He loved it!

My beautiful alpacas! Well unfortunately, because we are now 1hr and a half away from them, I can't work up there anymore, but my best friends partner works with them and he tells me that they are doing really well, in fact one of his alpacas had TWINS last week! Really rare.
DH and I are both living here with the kids, we have put in so many applications for houses that we are really getting depressed about the whole bloody thing. No house but still looking.

Phew, Jess - I thought you were talking splitsville last time! Good luck with the housing - you know we all want you to have that house Great news about the alpacas, too!
    Nic- enjoy the scrapbooking
Well, I pulled an all nighter last night and I've only had about 4 hours sleep, but I have only one assignment to go, then it's 4 weeks of intense study for exams. I'm not expecting great things from my work, but I've submitted something.
DP had his dad's day at swimming today and did really well, considering he finds excuses not to come to the pool with us for playswims.
We've just had friends over for dinner and it was really nice to have people over - hasn't happened in ages.
Oh, RIP my upright Hoover...just smoked up and I think the electrics are melted because even the button won't press down now.
Mel - how did garage sale go? Lovely day for it, I hope you had loads of people!
Should probably have a word in Oscar's ear about getting to sleep again (he slept for two and a bit hours earlier this evening, before waking up all bright and perky...), cos I'm shattered and just want to sleep!
    Have a lovely Sunday, all

Thank you for all the well wishes, well the glue is sticking, so I'm happy about that, it's so hard trying to keep him from bumping it again, been a typical boy he's always running around and jumping off things.

Cody's had an ear and throat infection for the last week and he seems to be getting somewhat better but he still has green bogies so maybe not. We had some pixie photos done yesterday, some of Cody by himself and some of the boys together and some family shots as well, we get to see them on the 9th of June so another two weeks.

Only 6 days till Cody's birthday, so the count down begins.

Sorry no personals, but will try and do some later.

    hugs xoxo

    HI guys,

Sorry i havent been on for a while, i tried last sunday but there must have been a problem with the update and i couldnt get on most of the day. I have had a quick look through some of the posts -

CC - Some of the best things in life are the things that are unplanned!!

Amanda-my stomach dropped (you know that feeling you get?) when i read your post. You poor thing and poor little lockie, i hope he is feeling better and give him lots of cuddles! I cant imagine anything like that. My Lachlan feel backward onto the tiled floor and the dining chair fell smack right on top of him he was so upset and i couldnt help but start crying too.

    HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY Pat!!

I cant believe our little ones are 1 already. The state of origin football was a reminder for me ( i went into labour during the 1/2 time break in the second game last year!)

Well, not much new with me, I have had my SIL living with me for the last month. SHe and her fiance are moving from wagga so she has been staying until she finds a job and house, she has found the house but still looking for work so fingers crossed for her although im enjoying the company through the day.

Lachlan is going well, growing up. He is just about to cut his fifth tooth (up the top) He looks like such a little boy now. He is nearly walking, wont be long now. Sleeping is much better, he will now sleep from 7pm until about 4am and then until 7am so thats not bad at all compaired to what i was getting. He has started chucking massive tantrums when i try to change his nappy and he now grinds his teeth while he is eating, its horrible! He is most happy when he has no clothes on at all!

I have started giving him one bottle of cows milk per day now. He has three bottles all up but the after lunch one is cows milk, he hasnt complained so ill try slowly switching the other ones over too.

Anyway, i had best get back to work.

A big hello to everyone and i will be back soon to do some more personals!!
