Hi all

Finally sat down to do a proper post, I think it’s been about a week since my last one.

Mel – (Hugs) – so sorry to hear your Nan has passed on. Hope all goes well on Friday and that its more a happy celebration than sad farewell.

IK – So glad your gf early labour has stopped that must have been so scary for her. Congrats to your other friend on the arrival of Claire and good on her for avoiding the induction. Yay for Oscar’s success at the EC – I wish my Oscar would go in the toilet!!! Lol at your DP saying his Dairy farmer grandfather would have been proud of your ‘yeild’!! It’s so great that your dad is so good with oscar – my dad would be hopeless with either of mine.

Rory – The blowing in the face thing is amazing! I’d never heard of it before your post and me and DH tried it on Will when he throws an epi at nappy change time and it works! How odd! If he’s really mad it makes him more mad but at least he stops trying to roll around. Yes, my friend with 3yo and Junie triplets does have a hectic time – especially as she’s on her own courtesy of her a-hole DH who dumped her by email (he was o’seas) 2 weeks before they were born so she’s had to do everything herself. She’s such an amazing mum though and her babies and little girl are so happy, if I’m doing half as good a job with my two as she does with her four then id’ be really happy. So when im having a bad day I do think of her and think I really shouldn’t complain about anything. Love the picky of Flynn on your ticker – lovely rosey cheeks.

Bath – PMSL and ROF re Nipple cake – that is too funny. Your cakes look great on your website – especially the 40th one – yummy I’m dribbling now thinking of chocolate and strawberries. Yay at Niall standing up and not holding onto anything.

Nickel – Hi, I don’t think we’ve met as I’m relatively new. Lovely picky of Ruby on your sig.

Donna – Wow at Lachlan saying ticktock and ca – brum! That must be so cute. Will doesn’t say anything yet other than hello. Go the lamingtons! – too easy. The wheels were weightwatchers Jam biscuits glued on with jam as they were a perfect size. You should have seen the look I got from the checkout girl with my basket full of lamingtons, jelly beans, smarties, kitkats then weightwatcher biscuits – you could tell she was thinking that they were going to make such a difference after that lot!

Jess – How did you go with the house? Any luck?

Ali – How are you feeling? Hopefully you’re feeling better now the second job has finished. Poor Tori and her ‘spill’, Tiles are grear for most aspects of having kids but are so unforgiving when they fall. Oscar has a really fat lip with a cut on it that he did after a fall yesterday on the tiles. Good luck with your scan on Friday. Did you want to try and meet up this Wednesday? I completely understand if you’re not up to it yet – you must be so busy with work and preparing for your move.

Amanda – Your cake looks great. I was going to do a Timmy (from Shaun the sheep) cake as he so reminds me of Will but I think I might end up doing the one cake as Timmy is such an awkward shape! I love how you decorated your ones (both of them! – Freddo was a great idea) so might have to steal that idea or the ladybirds.

Nic – Glad you had a great time at the Premmie ball, it sounds like it was emotional too. You were saying about your playgroup mums all having the same sex babies – ditto for me – in fact everyone I know who has kids has two of the same except my SIL. Your u/s picks are great especially the second one – it’s so clear bless him.

I’ve been thinking about this time last year too. I’d finished work on May 26th so I had two weeks off with Oscar still going to daycare full time the first week so I could get some rest and do some organizing. The second week my parents arrived from the UK and Osc went down to 2 days a week at daycare. I think it was strange for my parents as they’d not seen me pregnant before and here I was huge. I was booked in for an elective c-s on the Friday (due to Osc being an emerg c/s and being told i didn’t have a choice – after since finding BB I now know he was talking out of his blahblah – grr). All was well, on the Wednesday I starting making curtains for the room that was to be Will’s as we were planning that he would go straight into his own room like Oscar did. (The layout of our house meant that with our door and their doors open we were literally only about 3m away from them both). What a waste – Will is still in with us!! On the Thursday James and I went out for this really lovely lunch at this great new place which was by the sea, I think I even had a glass of wine!!! We then went to a shopping centre just for a last quick shop when my back got so bad I couldn’t walk. I’m sure people though I was in labour as I was so close to tears. James had to get the car round to a closer entrance and pick me up – I was so glad I knew that Will was arriving the next day. I can remember getting in the car on the Friday morning to go to the hospital feeling so nervous and it being really weird that I knew I’d be holding my baby within a few hours – not quite true as they were running late so I got there at 11am and Will was born at 3.03pm. I just can’t believe that that is all a year ago. It is strange though as in some ways it feels like such a long time ago but then again so close.

I was so surprised with some of the posts on BB this week re nasty posts and people leaving. As this is my main thread and everyone is so lovely in here I hadn’t noticed anything untoward so it was abit of a shock that that stuff was going on. So sad as this is such a great site and everyone ive come across have been so nice, such a shame that a few seem to have spoilt it for others and they have felt like they have had to leave.

We’ve had a nice long weekend. Will is mostly better though I didn’t take him swimming on Saturday. I took Oscar in stead and really enjoyed it as he has such a great time and just throws himself in/under and everyone was laughing at his enthusiasm streaking across the mat and jumping headlong in. had abit of a lazy day yesterday then went out for tea at a work friends of james which we were nervous about as they don’t have kids – think lots of breakable nik-naks so low down – we virtually re-arranged their place before we left! The kids were so good though I was proud of them, especially Will as it was 9.50pm when I finally put him to bed and he had been fine all night – how come when we’re at home and I bath him 15 mins later than normal he turns into the devil!! Today was Foundation day so James was at home so we went to a park with one of his work mates who has a 2 yo and that was really nice. We took some snags and did a bbq and I was pulling the snags apart for willy and he just grabbed a hole one and ate it like it was a lollypop – so cute but such a mess!

Anyway, I’d better stop rambling as this will be a mammoth post. Hope every one had a good weekend and Monday.
