    hey ladies

hve missed so much i dont think i will be able to catch up on personals! have been looking after my nephews Xavier and Deakon as my sister is pg with #3 and has had high blood pressure and been in hossy... hectic!!

Annika has learnt some new words - "no" and "dont" (said "doan" though lol) and stood up for about 5 seconds on her own the other day. Wont try it again though! so stubborn is walkign around furniture fine though, not too worried.

On TTC #2 front, i think DP is all ready to go now, but i still dont think i feel ready, read one of mayaness's posts, and think i feel similar... i think i know when ill be ready.

Have been so busy lately, apart from the nephews and my own beautiful daughter, ahev been exploring my spirituality a little more. Have been wanting start doing tarot readings, but just dont know if i have the time... I do alot of visiting peoples houses at the moment, cleansing and stuff. Work mostly with spirits. So draining, especially when i cant fix my own house at the moment...

Anyway, enough of my weird talk, once things settle down here, im hoping to get in here a little more and get to know you all!!

    Love from katerina and annika!

Great to see you back in here, Kat Sometimes it's easier to help put other people's fires out and let your own house burn down...keep some time and energy for yourself and your household, chicky
Amanda - how did the birthday go?
Rory - not too long to go, before you know it you'll be packing your desk up again! Hey, what kind of system did you have in place when you were using the Moltex? I've been throwing the night nappy into teh laundry sink and dealing with it later in the day. If the poo isn't solid enough to roll into the loo (or even scrape with a paper towel), then I rinse it under the tap, which crystallises everything, but makes it easier to get out, once I've put the slit down the middle. I thought about putting the innards into a bucket and emptying that into the compost every couple of days, but DP reckons I need to do it daily, so may as well take the whole nappy out (as it's only one and won't merit a bucket!).
I heard Britney's latest song...how weird...gotta stop spending so much time on Hollywoodrag dot com!
Oscar had a massive sleep - fell asleep just before I was going to let him play on the pirate ship in the village...oh, well, 2 and a half hours to myself! He seems to be trying to wean himself off that second nap, but sometimes he needs it or he is strung out by 7...way too early because then he'll wake at 9, bright as a button... Oh, well, we do ok to string him out a little longer till about 8.30. Not so important on Wednesday nights, because simply being at the fire station will keep him awake till we leave!
Right, gonna finish my chai and croissant...

Bath, enjoy your net break and I lok forward to you coming back next week

Kat I find all that esoteric stuff real interesting - how did you first get into it?

Mel, poor DH said today Flynn was the most annoyingly sooky he has ever been in his life. What a shame I was at work and he was all on his own with the boy Seriously, I do feel for poor DH, he was a bit frazzled when I got home. Still, he was super nice to Flynn as he put him to bed - gosh I love my DH sometimes!

Maya we just binned the Moltex in recyclable bags. Bad I know, but DH realised we would need a massive compost area to handle the nappies and we weren't keen on doing that in a suburban backyard from a health perspective. But I am about to become a cloth crusader - yay!!

Sheesh its quiet in here lately......

Kat - how is your sister doing? Must be tricky looking after 3 kids but it is good of you to help out, your sister must be very grateful. Pity you don't live closer, you could read our tarot cards, I've never had it done before.

Maya - what the hell are Moltex? Sounds like a bad disease LOL!!

Rory - poor DH, sounds like he coped well though. Its great that he gets a taste of what its like and can appreciate it when you tell him when you've had a bad day. Marley was pretty good for MIL today and seemed quite happy when I walked in the door at 6pm. She went to bed at 6.30pm so didn't get to see her too much. DH managed to get dinner cooked and both kids fed by the time I got home, which is an amazing help. One less thing for me to do.

It is really quiet in here, where is everyone? Amanda, Dee, Donna, Nic, Jess, Ali - come back!!!!

Yeah, like the other day Flynn was running a fever. When I got home he said "I can really see why parents say they get nothing done when their kids are sick". Funny thing is that was the day he cleaned the kitchen LOL!

LOL, he is really getting the hang of this SAHD business isn't he!!!! He won't want to go to work, he is enjoying being a dad too much. He sounds alot like my DH, very hands on, doesn't mind looking after the kids, actually has fun doing it (except on clingy baby days!!!). Pity more dads aren't like that (mine would just be loving reading this - but I'm not going to let him

Ok, Kailen's birthday went great (pics in the gallery), he loved his skateboard and my mum gave him all the safety gear but he fell off on his butt, so I said that we would have to tie a pillow there .

My SIL's grandma died this week and as my SIL is a nurse she was there administoring all the drugs and looking after her (she's Vietmense and it's expected of her), so she is very worn out and it has taken it's toll on her. The funeral is tomorrow.

I've decided that I'm going to be a Doula and have been looking at the different groups that offer the course and have decided on Optimum Birth, so hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to get the first module, I'm so excited .

Kat I love all pshyic stuff, you may have read that I went to a psyhic just recently and she was great, I hope that you get to start reading your tarot cards soon and good on you for looking after your sisters kids, hopefully she will be alright, I know how bad the high BP is.

Bath I hope you are doing well with your net free week and that you are feeling more refreshed when you come back.

Hi Rory, Mel and Maya, hope you are all travelling well.

How are our pg girls and your bubs?

Ok better go and hang out the washing, I must say the arcade has me a bit hooked .

    hugs xoxo

Good morning girls... just a very quick check-in.... mainly just to read posts.... don't want to incur too much cost with going over our download.... but we have restructured our plan (effective next Monday) Now we get more time and download for less money! But we have lost our "free" weekend use which doesn't matter as we aren't using the 'net as much on the weekends anymore. Am feeling a bit more positive about everything. Look forward to next Monday when i plan to have a nice looooong BB session.

Amanda- cake looks great well done! and yay on doing the doula training, thats you and Jess now! TBH its something that ive been thinking about too, not just yet bit but maybe later on i might give it a go too!

well look at my ticker! today Im 33w1day! so i past my prom date of 32w5d and now am extremley confident it wont be happening again! I feel a bit guilty when im getting over this pg cause i dont wanna be but getting a lot of those aches and pains in all sorts of area's!
a friend in Melb just had her baby at 31weeks, i wish i was downt here to support her, she had her first at 26weeks and had been in hosp this time since she was 18weeks, so she did really well to hang on for so long but having to go through the premmie journey again is going to be hard no doubt.

i checked out the arcade recently and omg it would be easy to sit on here for even longer! lol i only tried out one game cause i knew id get hooked in otherwise!

Amanda - the cake looks fantastic and so do the cupcakes. Maybe you should be a cake decorator too! Good luck with the doula course. My GF has just been to her 2nd birth and said it was totally awe inspiring, she still has one more to be qualified. What better experience than birthing 4 kids yourself.

Bath - pls tell which plan you are on. I am in the process of deciding a new provider, mine is costing me way too much. Can't wait to have you back next week. I was reading another thread today and one of the girls said in her comment "this too will pass"! See how much influence you have on BB!!!

Nic - well done girl!!!! You must be relieved to get past that point. Onwards and upwards from now on. This baby is in for the long haul. Your poor friend, must be very hard for her. At least she knows what to expect with another premmie, but still hard none the less. How is the baby doing?

Haven't checked the arcarde yet, might not now if its too addictive.

With regard to internet plans, who has what plan? I am with Telstra and keep going over my limit and find it is costing me too much. Any suggestions would be great.

Spring is really in the air in Melb. Sunshine today was beautiful. Took the girls to the park for a while and Marley saw a lady walking 2 dogs. She started to try and say something (no idea what!) and started to go after them. Thankfully she is not that fast but she wasn't coming back no matter how many times I called her. MIL has 2 dogs so she has taken a real liking to all dogs. Got my brother for dinner tonight and DH is at work. I have my nieces 1st b'day tomorrow and still have to buy a present! I always leave things to the last minute, and still not sure what to buy. Any suggestions for a nice 1st b'day present????

Hey Amanda, that is great about making the decision to become a doula! Pg is going well but I suspect Flynn might have had slapped cheek so I had a blood test to check to antibodies - not too worried though cause I didn't get a real diagnosis for Flynn and I no doubt would have had it myself at somestage, but better be safe than sorry.

Bath - looking forward to you being on line!!

Mel - I am with iinet - my work pays cause I work from home 1 day a week but it is "only" $59.95 a month - I woudl consider paying that even if work didn't. How much do you pay with Telstra? iinet are really great - I have only had one "outage" since it was connected a year ago and that was cause our switch box(?) needed resetting.

Nickers I am so happy for you - like Mel said, onwards and upwards!! Gotta admit 27 weeks (due to Racs and Ronan) and 33 wks (due to you and Nixon) "special weeks for me IYKWIM.

Gotta go - off to a lawyers function, without either of my boys. Its at Zinc at Fed Square so should be special

Hello lovely Ladies and Babies I hope everyone is keping well. Life here is hectic as always but all in all we are doing really really well, Tori is well and Both DH and I are busy but happy which is a great way to be.

Amanda- Good on you for deciding to become a doula. I have to admitt I am dying to get back to doing some more studying, I am thinking about going and learning Auslan so that I can teach deaf kids, as the school I am working at at the moment has 4 deaf students and it would just be so great to be able to communicate with them.

YAY Nic- you must be so pleased to make it past your prom date, every day now is a bonus and I am crossing my fingers and toes that you wil make it to 40 weeks.

Bath- I hope that your net free week has been fulfiling and you have found some extra time to do other things you enjoy.

Mel- We use Westnet for our internet plan, and if we go over our download limit (which we rarely do and DH uses Skype once a week to talk to his mum and plays games online) then we get shaped down to dial up speed rather than get charged extra, I think our plan is $40 a month but I have the phone through them as well and all up for phone nd internet we pay between $75 & $80.

Rory- How is your cloth crusade going? DH and I are getting really really god at using cloth, we are up to 5 days a week, and the days we dont use them are only because Tori is either at daycare or mum's, I am also trying to get into the habit of using cloth wipes as well, coz I figure if we are doing the washing anyway then a few extra flannels (wipes) isnt going to make any difference. Also between my DH and my Dad they managed to make their own version of the little squirt which is great for hosing poo down the toilet and it saved us over $80.

Maya- I hope all is well for you. Tori weaned herself off her second nap a while ago, but is ready for bed for the night by 6:30 most nights, it has taken her a while to get the hang of sleeping all night but we are getting there. She has never been one to sleep in, even as a tiny baby she was up by 7 most mornings and nothing has changed.

Big hello to everyone, theres been a few friendly faces missing from round here latley, I hope everyone pops back in soon to let us know how they are doing.

Next weekend is DH and my big weekend to ourselves, we are going to Cirque De Soliel (sp) on Saturday night and then staying at hotel in the city, Tori is having he first sleep over at Mum and Dad's. We are partly doing it because there is going to be a long time till we can do it again, and partly so she can practice staying at mum and Dad's before I have to go in to have the baby.

We found out the other day that my SIL is also having a little boy, he is due early Jan, so mum and dad are going to have 2 grandaughters and 2 gransons, which they are totally stoked about.

I had a hospital appointment on onday and everything is going really well with the Pg, so much so that I can see my GP to 36 weeks rather than go to the Hospital. I have decided to see the hospital dietician though because my eating habits are bad, and I dont want to put on too much weight with this Pg as I hadnt lost it all from Tori. I am wanting to get into shape pretty quickly after having the baby as I am Bridesmaid at my BF wedding in August and I reckon it is pretty good motivation to get fit and healthy.

Anyway I hope all is well with everyone, and there is lovely sunshine for the weekend.

    Hi there.

Sorry i havent been in here much lately, things have been a bit hectic (as some of you know) but we are getting there.
I have read a few posts but not many so if ive missed anything major you will have to let me know.

Nickers - Yay for getting past the 32 week mark, You have nothing to worry about!!

Ali - Glad everything is going well with your preg!

Maya - Lachlan is in the process of dropping his morning sleep now. He now wakes at about 7 and will have a sleep at about 12.30pm until 3pm and then he is back in bed between 6.30 and 7pm. That seems to work for us!

Well, Lachlan is sleeping heaps better, last night i didnt hear a peep out of him all night, he went to bed at 7 and woke at 6.30 (yuk, too early for me) but i didnt have to get out of bed once last night! Last saturday night he slept from 6.30pm until 8am!! He woke a couple of times but i didnt have to get up, he went back to sleep on his own! Saying this though, we have had a few bad nights too but they seem to be getting less and less and i think it has something to do with the one day sleep now! Fingers crossed he is sleeping through before the baby is born!!!

We are heading up to coffs harbour in two weeks, im dreading the long drive with lachlan but im going to pack plenty of food, and toys.
Any tips for long trips in the car????

Rory - love Flynn's new ticker picture, he is such a little boy! Very cute! My plan is $30 per month for 200MB which is not enough for me. The bill usually ends up being $80+ per month as I go over and they charge .15c per MB over. I prob need to upgrade to a plan that allows more MB as I only use the net to do banking, internet shopping and of course BB! Will do some more investigating, thanks for the details of yours. Work do pay a portion of mine too but not much, I think 20%. How was your night out Friday? Was Zinc good?

Ali - do you know what your limit is per month? I am trying to get a gauge on what would be a good usage per month. How awesome you are going to Cirque de Soleil, my brother went earlier this year and said is was the best thing he had ever been too. He wanted to go again but tickets in Melb sold out pretty quickly. Hope you have a great time and even better staying in a hotel, lap it up!!! My eating habits with Chelsea were terrible and I gained heaps (23kgs), with Marley I was a bit better but found I had less time to eat and gained about 12kgs. Its so hard being pregnant and having to think about eating good food all the time, treats should be allowed lol!!! August gives you plenty of time to get back into shape, some women expect to bounce back far too quickly.

Dee - great to see you back. I read your other thread and the results sound very promising. As I said, my GF had a huge nuchal fold (5mm thick) result and Dr wasn't hopeful at all, but after amnio, everything was clear! They checked for many genetic conditions and all negative. He couldn't explain it, just one of those things. I have everything crossed for you. Keep us updated. Great news about Lachlan big sleeps, you must be so happy. 6.30am is a bit early but better than getting up heaps during the night. How long is the car trip to Coffs? We haven't done too many long trips. 1.5 hours is the biggest so far and Marley was fine, just looked around and took in all the scenery!

It is such a gorgeous day in Melb today. DH and I have spent all day in the garden and Marley and Chelsea have been our helpers (if you could call it that!!!). We have been moving some plants from the back to the front as they have grown so big and are squashing each other. They look great in their new spot, just need to bucket tonights bath water on them to get them settled. Marley had fun playing with dried leaves and dirt! Chelsea decided she didn't want to do gardening anymore and took her "friends" (soft toys) into her cubby to play. I snuck up on her and she had them all sitting in the a row and she was on a chair reading a story to them - it looked so funny! We have finally finished and our green waste bin is bursting. DH has taken the girls to the park so house is very quiet. I decided to stay home and bring in the washing and get dinner ready.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

Thanks Jess, I am going to start checking out all these deals and see if I can come up with a better one!

I have finally paid for my platinum membership! Yeah! I also got Kelly to change my username, the other was too long and this is much quicker. Everyone uses Mel anyway. Bath created an great avatar a few weeks back, so hopefully will have that up and running soon.

Bath - can you email me the avatar again, I can't find where I saved it and just wanted to check it out again. I wanted to add something but I can't remember what?????

Yay! New identity! Good one, Mel
Well, I'm killing time but have a sink full of dishes to take care of.
DP was away all weekend on a deer hunting course (no shooting for this one, but one of these days we'll have us some venison on our plates!!), so I had a full weekend with Oscar and no studying done.
Friday night was just us two and I had been painting a picture for a friend's soon-to-be-5 year old (Monday is the party) as well as chasing Oscar around. Saturday was swimming, which was great, as usual. Oscar was the happiest kid in the class and was loving the backwards fall, the slide and anything involving dunking. He even let go of me a great number of times and swam around looking for me underwater (not was he was supposed to be doing, but it was awesome to see him come off me a couple of times and turn around to swim to the pool edge!). Got back to some housework and took off again for a BBQ at one of the Booby Club girls' place - a goat farm in Wandin! Oscar had a ball and I might even post some pictures when I get a chance. Last night was quiet again, I got a very tired boy to sleep and finished my painting at 12.30 (will post pics of this, too - it's very simplistic and Bath, I hope I don't horrify you too much...I'm not much of an artist, more a 'trier'!).
I tried to sleep in this morning, but Oscar was having none of it, so we went straight outside in jammies and he tried to plant himself in my new planter boxes (bought them yesterday in Kilsyth very cheaply...closing down sale...glazed pots and other garden bits). I took photos of that. We then had porridge (tastes better when made my DP!) and a shower, followed by a good two hours on nudie run. Off to the nursery to buy potting mix, then Aldi, then back for more laundry. Then off to GF's for a late lunch, back home to get a dinner ready. DP got home at about 9pm and Oscar was stoked.
Now I'm tired but my work is not yet done.
Be back properly during the week (I have a small assignment to take care of, too).
Glad everyone is well, and especially that Nic, you're still preggers!! Woo hoo! Donna, so glad that you're in the clear and that Lochie is doing wonderful things for you from time to time I hope everything else is well at home for you.
Dee, how's the school work going with DH home?
Better go, dishes won't do themselves...
ETA: I've been making soap, too! Not from scratch, but from ground soap powder and using my essential oils and food dye! I'm excited about the endless possibilities for gifts between my painting and my aromatherapy!
