Argh! Poo on clothes that haven't been put in their rightful place! DP has never done this, but he DOES tend to just leave Oscar's clothes wherever they fall...and the cleaning fairy picks it up. Grrr.
Amanda - too funny! I need to get a frontloader! Oscar has never put himself to sleep anywhere other than the carseat! Bugger about the feeds Oscar just got back and was hanging for a feed...and didn't end up having much guess he had too much going on today. But MIL said he should probably bring some milk with him next time. He may not NEED it, and he would prefer drinking it from a boob, but I think the taste settles him down when he's with someone else. I think I'll have a good cry and withdraw from everyone when Oscar self-weans - lots of aromatherapy to get me feeling better about it, too! I'm not ashamed to say that I get a lot out of it as well as Oscar, so whilst one day he'll just not want it, it's become a big part of my life and I've been loving it. I know not everyone has this kind of experience, so I figure that whilst it's been great for us, why enforce the weaning?
Better go - I did my gardening stint and now I guess I should vacuum!
ETA: I know, Bath - I've been known to make do with Tupp myself...I don't think I could ever stop going into Op Shops on the off chance that they have something vintage but utterly useful!

so is it just a boy thing lol! im glad nixon is not the only one then!

neither of my sisters girls seem to do it but Nixon goes over there and starts dumping their toys in her bin! cause her DD is just getting used to taking herself to the loo she needs the door kept open.
my sis did a nice deed today i rang her thismorning to see if she could mind Nix while i went to the docs (i coughed all night and got no sleep) so i dropped him there and she asked if i wanted her to take him to their playgroup, they had a jumping castle etc on today.
so added a 3rd car seat to her car and off they went! she brought him back about 12.30pm and he slept until 3.45pm!

amanda- oh how funny little cody hehe!
Bath- hmmm how weird is that? was Wade in access to Niall? could Niall have pulled his nappy off, pooed and Wade put his nappy back on him????

i just did a letterbox drop with my old catelogues, thought it would eb a good way to get rid of them, anyway finally met a couple of my neighbours and i made a sale! was worth the nice stroll!

Hiya girls, been reading but not posting - I have had a really wierd day today. Flynn was teething last night and cried on and off between cuddles, nappie and PJ changes and panadol and 2 and 4am, so he woke at 8am which was a nice enough sleep in. We had a GF's daughter's 2 yo birthday party today so I caught up with old friends, and then when I got home and put Flynn to bed (he appears to have dropped his morning sleep ) I felt really off colour. I realised I hadn't eaten since 8am (it was now 1.30) and I felt really nauseous. So DH made me some lunch and I crawled up for a sleep while DH went to the osteo but of course 5 mins later Flynn woke up and wanted to play. So we watched The Wiggles DVD (he watched, I dozed on the couch) and now a whole day is gone!!!

DH got through another round of MFB testing - next is the physcial fitness test which he is worried about because he has injured his knee (nothing chronic) - hence the osteo appointment. Poor thing - he is/was super fit (ie: able to do no exercise for months then go for a casual 6km run with just a few stretches for a warm up) but now needs to get it into his head that he is getting older (LOL! Nearly 34!) and is not a young kid any more. I think because he has a really good base level of cardio fitness and is really thin he doesn't realise the impact of injury and the need to recover slowly.

Better go - boy is a bit wingy ATM.

Back again. I have been really unconfortable the past week because last Friday I developed SEVEN (yes, seven) ulcers on my tounge. They have been killing me the past week and caused all sorts of other abrasions on my tounge as I try to eat and talk without irritating the ulcers. I now am getting by with orthodontic wax on my back teeth because both sides of my tounge is red raw. Is this a sign my diet is bad and I am run down or what!

Hi girls - the bin and loo thing must be a boy thing!!! Marley has never ventured into the toilet (YET) and I very rarely keep the door closed. Our bin is inside the cupboard under the sink so she doesn't have the chance to get to that. Chelsea was never in the toilet either, funny maybe boys love the loo lol!!!!

Maya - as I said before, you would make a great host and I would be happy to buy off you (haven't bought much Tuppaware before). Can't wait to hear how successful you become.

Ali - Tori sounds like such a little sweetie. Its good that she is feeling better, looks like your Sat night out is looking good! Can't wait to see your av, Bath is such a genious with them I have no doubt it will look awesome.

Bath - had to PML at the poo story!! Bit grose though! Obviously Niall didn't mind. I have a new rule with cleaning, I do it before I go to bed at night. During the day I tend to leave whatever stuff the kids are playing with where it is. I was getting so sick of picking up stuff all the time only to find it back out again 5 mins later. I find it heaps easier to do one big swoop at the end of the night. Did you clean the ceiling LOL!!! Congrats to DH on 20 years, thats a great achievement these days. Marley loves tissues too! I just stuff them back in the box so she can play with them next time.

Amanda - did you get a photo of Cody asleep in front of the machine? How cute.

Nic - sounds like you have a great sister. Wish brothers would do the same thing! How cool getting a sale from a letterbox drop, keeping fit at the same time. Congrats on recruiting another person, you are getting pretty good at this.

Rory - thats very naughty not having anything to eat! You must be tired getting up so often. Hope he gives you a better nights sleep tonight. How fantastic about DH getting through another round. I'm sure he'll be fine with the fitness component. He's nearly there. Ouch with the ulcers! Banana smoothie sounds like the way to go.

What a day yesterday! My GF husband did have his appendix out at 8pm last night. I went to her place, had dinner then I told her I would stay with the kids while she went to see him about 9.30pm. She was so thankful for me staying esp as I hadn't been home to see my kids. I stayed till 11pm then headed home. Its nice to be able to do something nice for friends when they need it. I felt good driving home. Well little Miss Marley has been in a much better mood the past week. I felt in her mouth and found she has cut a molar, maybe that explains her clingy behaviour. Glad that phase is over, for the time being! Another GF had her baby yesterday (#3) and little girl, so I went to visit her today. She is at the same hospital I had the girls in, felt weird walking back in there. She is doing very well and had a good labour (gotta love an epi). Baby is very cute and has such beautiful skin.

Off to watch the end of the footy.

I dont think the bin thing is just a boy thing as Tori is a bin lover and often comes wondering through the house with some "treasure" she has found in the bin. Thankfully she is more intrigued with the recycling bin than the normal bin, but still. She also loves the toilet, not to put things in but she comes along to watch when anyone goes.

Mel- I know what you mean about being able to do something nice for your friends, sometimes its just what you have to do, and good friends really appreciate that sort of thing.

Rory- I hear you on the mouth ulcers, I only have 2 at the moment but they are killing me. Mine arent so sore that I cant eat, but the one under my tongue is driving me to distraction.

Nic- the letterbox drop sounds like a great way to meet the neighbours. We are lucky because we are living in the house that DH grew up in, and most of the neighbours are still the same ones from when he lived here with his mum 12 years ago.

Maya- As much as we love and adore our children isnt it nice to have some time to catch up on me things, like sleep. I hope you feel much better for your 12 hours.

Bath- Gross on the poo thing, isnt it so dissapointing when yo just get them clean and fresh. Tori loves tissues too, and sometimes your sanity is worth that $2 box of tissues I think. My rule in this house (and at school as it happens) is to pick my battles.

Amanda- That is so cute, Tori loves watching the washing go around in our machine too, I often find her just standing in front of the machines watching all the washing go around.

I have finally taken the plunge and upgraded to platinum, I figured as I have been regularly using this site (as in nearly everyday) for the last 2 years that it would be a sound investment. Now I just need to figure out how to get my user name changed as I am not 25 anymore, infact in a couple of months I will be 28. I am really looking forwards to what Bath comes up with for my Avatar, she is so clever!

Tori is much much better, she still has quite a rattling phlemgy cough, and a runny nose, but her temperature has come down and she is just a much happier baby. In amongst all of the sickness she also cut another molar, so all in all it has been a pretty miserable week for the poor little thing.
DH and I are off to Cirqe De Soliel tonight which I am so excited about, I actually booked the tickets last year so I have been waiting ages to go. We are going to head out to dinner first, but have decided against staying the night in a hotel, we will do that in a month or so when Tori is completley better. Part of the reasoning for not spending the whole night away is that I have a touch of whatever she has had and have a sore throat and a bit of a cough.

I hope everyne has a great weekend, looks like another whole week of miserable weather here, so I am goin to try and get on top of my washing and things otherwise no one is goin to have anything to wear.

What a day! Had a strange swimming lesson - Oscar is determined to go it alone and swallowed an inordinate amount of water...but we had to let him because he had to taste consequences We won't do it as much next time, as today he got a sufficient taste and I don't want to turn him off water at this crucial stage (of development in and out of water, as well as coming up to summer!). His problem is that he is overconfident - as they said, no child drowned from overconfidence that they know of (the drown from panic mostly), but it would still be nice not to have him throwing himself away from me!
ALi - yay on joining! Can't wait to see your av! Have a lovely evening, sounds like an ideal compromise (even though you had planned it ages ago, it's worked out perfectly!)
I went to the ABA regional meeting today to talk about our experience with Tongue Tie...and I cried at the end when I retold a story about my feeding Oscar at 6 weeks at a reception centre for our fire brigade. I told it because it involved the maitre'd from there...who on the night revealed to me that she was a counsellor for the neighbouring group...and today's meeting was in her area! I so didn't think I'd tear up, but I did, and she was so happy that she made a difference to us just as we were recovering from all of that TT stuff. I don't know how many of you would remember, but feeding was horrendous for us for abotu 6 weeks, with the TT being snipped when Oscar was 4 weeks old and him learning to use his tongue again. Geez, why would I stop booby feeding when we got through that hiccup of a start??! No wonder I'm so attached to it!
Anyway, Oscar is asleep again and I should put him down now, and do some work around here.
I'll try to jump in again later - we'll be at our neighbour's bonfire tonight!

Ali - my thoughts exactly for becoming platinum. I got my username changed by emailing Kelly and she changed it straight away for me. I bet your av will look great, Bath is very clever! Glad to hear Tori is on the mend and have a wonderful night tonight. Make sure you tell us all about it.

Bath - glad you clarified it was Niall, thought DH might have been your stinky little friend LOL!!!

Maya - Confidence in the water is a great thing, but not too much of it. Did you have plenty of wet nappies today? Marley is a bit of a pool drinker too, don't know why, its tastes pretty grose! How nice for that lady to know she helped you so much. I know of so many people whos baby's had tongue tie, is it very common? You did very well to keep perservering after such a rough start. Many would have given up. Do people still have bonfires, how cool. Great night to be having one.

Pretty bored at the moment! Just been watching a bit of the footy. I have been watching the National Geographic DVD series that the Herald Sun had. They are actually really good, about 1 hour each and Chelsea is really enjoying them too. Got a few more to watch so might have to do that later.

The girls were so cute tonight. Marley has worked out how to roll a ball along the ground. So Chelsea got up one end of the family room and rolled it to Marley, she rolled it back (usually in the wrong direction!). Every time she rolled it she clapped herself and laughed. Chelsea was very happy playing and said to me "Mum, I'm glad I've got a sister". How sweet! Made up for the few squabbles they had today.

we had swimming today too. Nixon is silly at the moment and when he knows he's about to go under he opens his mouth up instead of shutting! so comes up coughing and spluttering. dh had to leave for work at 6am so i went solo. i must say all these things are getting pretty tireing for me to do on my own!
Then went to mums for some scrapbooking time! Had to take Nix but my dad entertained him most of the day, took him to the park, took him to see a fire truck up the local shops etc so he had a ball.
Then tonight went to my uncles 60th. DH is still at work so was chasing after Nix all night. He wa a good boy but just so hard to keep your eye on them 24/7. a few times he tried to take off out the front (party was out the back with side gate open) my fam was all there but he is my sole responsibility and coudlnt really relax or enjoy the night. i was pretty uncomfy and tired myself.

Maya- i sure do remember your TT issues with Oscar, you had such a tough time but got through it and look at you guys now, what a trooper!
Ali- congrats on going platnium and look forward to seeing your avater also

Nixon had a bad (well not terrible, it could have been a lot worse) accident tonight.
cause my uncles is near mum and dads i stayed out there the day and when it was time to get ready i said to nix we'll have a shower together. He was hyper as he had a big sleep and my aunty was over. got undressed etc shower on, open the door Nixon charges in, i am right behind him but as he stepped in he slipped. The back of his head hit the steel frame of where the door sits (its quiet sharp) i couldnt even have time to catch him but straight away knew it was bad. Picked him up and looked for blood. He had a nice big cut on the back of the head but it wasnt deep enough to be bleeding, but went that purply colour straight away.
He must have cried for 30min poor boy. He now has a big egg on the back of his head, but once he stopped crying he seemed to be fine. He ate dinner and ran around at the party all night, i did give him some panadol though i think id have a rotten headache after something like that.

anyway i pooped so its bed time, hoping to do some more scrapbooking tomorrow as im eager for it after spending a day on it!
scared the crap out of me though!

Ive got a sick little boy on my hands atm, totally out of left feild he was his happy normal self until about 6pm last night i noticed he was a bit hot. my thermometre i have went on low so couldnt get a reading but gave him some panadol anyway.
went to bed 8pm, fine until 1am woke up crying and as hot as an oven. Took off his sleeping bag and had him just in a singlet and nappy, he was just wimpering like he wasnt right. DH was still at work so brought him in bed with me, he wouldnt drink anything and just tried cooling him down with a face washer. He went back to sleep but totally taking up my side, so when dh got home (about 4am) i was squshed in the middle! I gave him more panadol at 1am and searched everywhere for another therm i know i have. couldnt find it but found a glass one in the first aid kit.
Never been used but couldnt get it to work?? was like there was no mercury in it or something....

anyway 6am he woke up vomitting bright green liquid yuk. did manage to get him to drink some hydrolite diluted in water and have some toast for breakky. Took him to the docs and his temp was 39. so i def rekon his temp would have hit 40 last night because he felt a lot hotter then.
So he went back to bed when we got home and hope he sleeps most of it off poor boy. Doc said its a viral infection thats going around......i thought this winter sickness crap was over!!

thats my vent anyway, dh worked all day and night Sat and slept half of Sunday to go back to work yesterday arvo till thismorning. its always the way when you need that extra pair of hands you dont have it, i ordered my shopping online thismorning, one less thing to worry about getting to!

hope everyone else is well. Maya you and Oscar were in my dream a few nights ago!
was very strange i was at my local train station with Claire (she is a belly buddie on BB) we missed our train and went to get in the elevator and there you two were! you missed it too so we all went back up top where they had a big swimming ppl that all the ppl who missed their trains could swim in lol! but i didnt have Nixon with me and cannot remember if i was even pregnant in it!
