Well I'm still here but still recovering from a very full long weekend of visitors, outings and sick kids.

The oldest is suffering from a cold and ear infection and the youngest excema is driving him crazy in the heat - cause oh how its warmed up up here. Are you thinking its going to be a long hot summer for us northern girls Tali??? I am. It was no where near as hot so early last year.

After a good roll on of housework last week - I have lost all motivation this week.

Rory - working from home is so much harder than it sounds hey!! Not long to go now !!

Tali/mel - the whole tantrum thing is so much fun NOT!!!

Mel - sounds like Chelsea had a great day

Jess - hope Kate has fun at camp

Malteser slice - must go find that recipe - can't have a great chocolate recipe out there that I haven't tried LOL!!!

Anyway both boys are awake now so had better dash. Hopefully I'll be back on later

Jaspen- hot hot hot thats all I can say about the weather up here much hotter than last year, but last year we had moved over from darwin so didnt feel it as much. but as this dry was so cold I think everyone will feel it this year. where did you go in canada DH really want to get a mining job over there he even wants to get a french CD so he can learn to speak the lingo. I'm scared it will be too cold told him might try for 2yrs and then we would have to come back.

Mel - what a lovely day for Chelsea, May is also in prep next yr because the cut off up here is in july not april like melb dont know what that will mean if we move down next yr I guess she will have to go to kindy instead.

Melbourne girls what is narre warre like as a area and do you know where the good parts are and the good schools as we have been looking on the net but its hard to know when you dont know the area as we dont want to find a house and then find out it is in the "bad" part or has the "bad " school any help would be great I sort off know the area as I use to shop at fountain gate some times but that was many years ago my sisters have told me it has changed heaps, now much bigger. we are going down in jan so we are planing to have a good look around while we are down there. I just thought there has to be a reason why it so cheep!!

anyway better go as I'm heating up the house trying to cook. Thank God we are renting a house with a pool.

Tali can't help sorry - I know nothing about that side of the city.

I am absolutely bushed - I did heaps of housework today (house looks great) and made fish cakes successfully for the first time and did a mammoth walk to and from mothers group (those who have been to my place know what I mean when I say I walked down to the valley and back - pushing Flynn up the hill knocked me out). Now I am tired and sore and ready for bed - but happy

    night all

Jaspen - we finally had some sun today! I am envious of your girls up in north Qld, I love the hot weather. DH & I were thinking of moving there before we had kids as my BF lives there, still would like to do it maybe one day. If I win the lotto, Noosa here I come! Sorry to hear the kids are not well. Marley had shocking eczema, but I got this fantastic cream called Elicon (on prescription) from the paediatric allergy specialist and she hasn't had a bad outbreak since. I call it the miracle cream! Hope you get your housework mojo back soon lol!

Tali - I have a friend who lives in Narre Warren South and its a relatively new estate and its really nice. It is close to lots of shops, there are heaps of schools in the area and Fountain Gate is huge! Narren Warren North is the dearer part, its the older area and lots of big properties. Berwick has some beautiful estates too but a bit more pricey. It is the highest growing municipality in Melbourne (so I read) with up to 80 families a week moving there. The City of Casey covers a really big area too. It is well worth a look when you come down in Jan. Not sure what happens with kids moving from different states, maybe Ali might know?

Rory - your legs must be stuffed! Walking up all those hills would give you a good workout at the best of times, then you do it with a 10+ kg child in a pram - go girl! Love fish cakes - are they Thai ones? They are yummy. What fish did you use? Hope you sleep well tonight.

DH is going to be busy tomorrow, we have 7 metres of mulch being delivered in the morning so hopefully by the time I get home from work it will be all done. We got our water bill today and I am so proud of us, we have reduced our water consumption by heaps! Bucketing all that water around is paying off!
