Hey maya..... you know I just get used to calling you that..you are IK to me!
Hun, I've started on that little project we were talking about and about 2 hours have about 6 pages done...intensively working on it tomorrow night while I have the time!

have a great meet tomorrow ladies, sorry that I can't make it yet again, but thems the problems of living in the bush! If you ever want to come up my way for a weekend you are always welcome, we have a beautiful lake in the middle of town with ducks who are so friendly the will eat bread out of your hands! Plenty of restaurants, clubs and oh yes we have a bird park that is free! You can walk into one of the wineries and just wander around looking at all the beautiful birds! Just of tourism advice for anyone who is interested.Maya(IK) the Murray is low at the moment( Corowa's water is at .58m!) but there are still some beautiful areas to go camping.

Thanks for the tip, Jess! Our next camping trip was going to be inland, and the summer camp was going to be by the beach...for the first time with our camping group!
Gotta go get ready for today - business dress was such a world away yesterday. Even further away is bloody Thomastown, so better move it (you thought Rutherglen was far, Jess...I'd probably be more than half way there by the time I get to Thomastown!)

Bath - thank you so much for having us today. Hope I didn't overstay my welcome! Your house is beautiful, I can understand why you want to stay in the area. Thanks also for the tour of the neighbourhood, I wouldn't mind one of those old places for myself. Chelsea just thinks Verity is wonderful, and "Wave" too! (she kept calling Wade, Wave!!!!!). She has already asked DH to put a tyre in the tree. Both girls fell asleep on the way home and I put Marley into bed and she is still snoozing. They both had lots of fun and Marley really enjoyed playing in the bark of your rose garden (hope she didn't make too much mess!). Look forward to doing it again. Thanks for the pants too, they are so cute.

Rory - how did you luncheon go? It was lovely to see you and you are looking fabulous too girl! Flynn is as cute as ever. Marley looks like such a midget next to him.

Maya - did you find your way to Thomastown? Never go into the religious forums, might have to have a look.

Jess - thanks for the invite, might get up that way one of these days.

I have been out most of this week, so therefore have a huge washing pile (that will teach me for not doing any during the week!). I have done 4 loads so far, 1 more to go!

The day has just turned into a brilliant one for me! I had to pay a bill online and logged in and there was a deposit for $1250!!! Its my childcare rebate which I thought I had already been paid - turns out what was in my tax return was from the 2005/06 financial year. How excited am I? Very! I know its not a huge amount but I am having fun thinking of what I can do with it. The sensible side is saying pay bills etc, the crazy side is saying have fun with it!! I might have to do a bit of both.

I am going to paint the feature wall in our bedroom tomorrow. Its currently a very deep burgundy colour which I don't like anymore, so we are going to upgrade to a very soft pale blue.

Off to dinner tonight with some GF's. Blue Corn in St Kilda, its Mexican and supposed to be delicious. Hope they have frozen margeritas!

"Wave" certainly came out of his shell and I think he took a shine to Chelsea too. He went to a birthday party recently where a girl her age took his hand and held it for almost the duration! (he didn't pull it away ) so maybe he is getting to enjoy the company of young ladies LOL

I'm back and raring to get back into BB again!

Mel – love your Av – Bath really is an av wizard! Lucky you on your kids not being early risers. Although I have been spoilt whilst we’ve been away as my boys have slept in hours past there normal 6.30-if I’m lucky!

Rory – love your new ticker photo of Flynn. Has he had a haircut? He looks like a real little boy now as opposed to baby! Yay on him taking his first steps. We struggled with boys names too – girls were all fine from very early on but we were still doing boys even on the way to the hospital with both (even though we had known that Will was a boy for 20 odd weeks!) – good luck choosing one that you both like. Hope you’ve had a nice time with brother and family.

Jess – sounds lovely where you live – would love to live in the country as opposed to the city. Both DH and I are originally village people (not the dodgy hat, tash or dance moves variety).

Maya – how did your training go? Sounds very full on.

Bath – “back to the mop... it's been a long time since it's seen it's old mate the floor!” lol – mines the same. Will say hi to your sis when I see her around.

Ali – you truly are amazing to manage a class full of scary pushing-it kids and being preggy too! Hopefully catch up with you tomorrow at Belmont though ive realized ive double booked with my Junie triplet friend – might try and bring her along also. Glad you had a great time at the cirque de Soliel – sounds like you needed some time out. Glad Tori is getting better now.

Tali – ouchy for Kai’s head bump, poor lass.

Nic – hope Nixon is feeling better temperature wise – and ouchy for his head bump too. The winter bugs do seem to drag on. Wow, can’t believe you are 35 weeks already – so close now (although hopefully not THAT close for you). You sound like you are still managing to do so much too. Oscar spends most of his time at swimming lessons under water (his choice) and his nappies for the rest of the day are so full!


Had a great time and the boys were angels on the plane journeys so we were so proud of them. British Airways was cr@p as per last time i had a leg of the journey with them but this time we have said is definitely the LAST time we will every fly with them. Our journey over there and the Hong Kong leg back - all with Qantas - was great and they were very helpful.
I'm not remotely as home sick as i was last time i returned from a visit - maybe i 'overdosed' on family after staying 5 weeks with them so was pleased to get back to my own space.

The jet lag hasn't been that bad coming back - we got back 7am Monday morning and managed to just have one sleep in the day and the night was great - everyone slept. Last night Oscar was completely hyper - he went to bed but was laughing hysterically and screaming (laughingly!) until i lay down with him for 45 minutes at 12.30!!! i dosed off with him (no mean feet in a very small toddler bed) then crawled into our bed at 1.15am to idle away the night awake until 5am. James had woken at about 4.30 so i had company in the awake club so we chatted until i apparently drifted off and started snoring at 5ish - James gave up and got up and went out and bought a paper and some bacon and woke me up at 8am with a bacon sarney and a coffee - what a star!!! i've been strict with them today about just having the one sleep again and wking Ocsar up so he didn't sleep too much but he's only just gone to sleep again and it's nearly 11.30pm!

I think Will has picked a cold up from the plane again - grrrrrrr! He's been sniffly and snotty all day but no temp or anything yet so i hope he fight it off (fat chance!). After a few days of toddling around confidently he completely stopped once we got to the ILs so i don't know why and haven't managed to persuade him more than a few steps since we've been home - grrr - i'm so over the crawling thing. I think i'm going to have to take him to the hairdressers and get his haircut when i next take Osc as he's starting to look abit daft - in a cute kind of way. he's also started saying loads of words and points and says lots of things like doggy, plane, car, birdy, Oscar, truck, cheese (when we're trying to take photos - so cute!). While we were away he also sprouted to molars which gave him quite abit of hassle but he seems over them now even though the are still just 2 sets of 2 spikes sticking through his gums.

Anyone still having nappy change battles with your Junies?? i'm sure it didn't last this long with Oscar but Will just gets so angry every time i change him. It's such a battle and he screams the place down like he is being murdered and arches his back so high it's soo difficult. he's not sore anywhere so i think it's just an 'attitude' thing!

My SIL told us she is expecting again even though she swore blind that she would never have #3. I'm pleased for her but can't help feeling a little niggle of envy as we have been trying (in so much as not trying to stop) for #3 for about 6 months now but haven't really dtd that often and didn't even have a a cycle until around 2 months ago so can't really complain that i'm not preggers yet. And it has been good really so that i could go out and have a drink with friends while away. But now i really want to try properly and peg my cycle down to find out when is the best time etc. She had sent me loads of her maternity clothes over and i asked if she wanted them back but she said no - huge sigh of relief as that would leave me with v little! I didn't buy much when preg with Osc as i worked at a Nickel refinery (in the offices) and had to where the uniform of big shirt and dungarees a-la-bob-the-builder so didn't have to purchase much stuff. With Will i was working in an office where i could only where black and white dressy stuff so they're no good for being at home with 2 kids. Anyway been blessed with 2 lovelies already so shouldn't whinge and having nooky once in 6 weeks (well i can't do anything when parents are in the house!!!) isn't really conjusive (sp) to produce a sprog anyway. Sorry - you probably didn't really want to know all that!

Won't start on about ILexperience just yet though im sure it will come out soon. Ive also another night out story (complete with dodgy dancing) to tell to though that can wait till another day.

Anyway, better go to bed as not helping the old jet lag by staying up till past midnight.

Your ears must have been burning yesterday at about lunchtime as I was showing Mel your enlarged avatar saying that I enjoyed doing yours because it looks so much like you. Which reminds me I need to scroll back to see if Ali's has been loaded up yet. I was interested in how you all dealt with the long haul flights, might have to ask you for some tips with the children IF my DH gets an o/s job... I'm really hanging out for a change. Also it's so exciting anticipating your 3rd pregnancy... we are a fertile bunch in here Julie... I'm sure our is extra potent

Jess - great speaking with you last night! Sorry I had to rush off, DP had a meeting that was non-Fire Brigade related and I was left with a hyper kid, two dogs, a dodgy tummy, no dinner cooked and fire brigade training time looming! I felt the weight lift off my shoulders as soon as I got to the fire station, child-free cos my dad had Oscar.
I've been a bit snappy with DP lately, cos whilst he'll say he supports the Tupperware venture, he is actually tolerating it for the financial benefit. He doesn't want to hear about it (like, how many people DON'T talk about their new jobs? Just cos he hates his!) and he was starting to lecture me last night about priorities. I gave a sarky "I know" and he got offended and stormed off. I know he cares about my study and he needs to pick a better time to remind me about study than when I'm in the middle of organising my Tupp stuff (like I need my head any more crowded at any one time...) so that I CAN get on with everything else over the course of the evening. He is not helping by having a god awful mess on our desk that constantly encroaches on my space. For example, his keyboard ends up on a pile of papers that falls on top of my keyboard...typing a key on it and either sending my computer into a fit of error key beeps, or typing in whatever key has been pressed down. Vent over.
Rain here is glorious! Gotta do a local drive around for dropping in last minute invites (this week is a bit rushed for having parties) and doing errands (not to mention heading to Aldi to pick up some camping gear that I have been allowed to buy!).
Training was good yesterday - very motivating and confidence-building (which was the main thing I wanted to get out of it!).
Bath - to get to your place I'd go the back way, through the back of Warrandyte. To get to the freeway would mean too many traffic lights and I hate them cos Oscar gets antsy!

Julie - its so nice to have you back! I have missed having a good laugh at your posts, you are hilarious! I am at work having a chuckle to myself, I am sure people are wondering what the hell I am laughing at! The Junies do seem like a fertile bunch so I am sure you'll be UTD in no time.

Maya - doesn't DP know you are a big girl and you do know how to prioritise! I am sure you wouldn't have taken this up if you didn't think you could manage it. Maybe he is more miffed that he is missing out on time with you? Glad that training went well. You obviously found it OK. The freeway to Bath's place was very quick, going home it only took me 25 mins!

Nic - so thismorning we were both cleaning spew carpet and poo carpet, what a nice job in the morning! You poor thing. Hope the antibiotics kick in and make poor Nixon feel better soon. I will definately be wary of baby nuddie time in my house and be on the lookout for poo LOL!!! Have you tried that stuff you spray on and leave for a while, then vac up? My dad uses that on his cream carpets and said it works pretty well. I think it depends on the carpet too, good luck getting it out. Anyone got an old Martha Gardener book (Bath, don't you have one at your place that I saw???)

Just about ready to head home. Had a meeting this morning which lasted till 1pm, then got back to work and had to play catch up all day. Its all done now, so I can go home knowing everything is done for next week.

Maya- yes my old distributorship was at thomastown was good location for me only 10min from Diamond creek. i could have given you some directions.
(Evolution Jo & James) and my manager was Antonette, so when you see her tell her i said hi!
so the whole distributorship in nunawading is no longer? geez evolution would be huge if they got everyone from that team.

had to take Nixon back to the docs today because even though his temp is back to normal he is still not right. He practically hasnt eaten all week and has vomitted several times. Thismorning he threw up all over himself, me, his cot and the carpet. was lovely first thing in the morning to have to clean up! Anyway he has anti biotics now so hopefully it starts kicking in, he has swollen glands and both ears are red and pussy..... considering that he is quiet ok in himself but very clingy.

Last night i did a party and dh was home with him. when i got home and walked into my bedroom to get changed i noticed something sus on the carpet next to my side of the bed. on further inspection i swas horrified to discover it was POO!! not a solid one by any means either..... called dh in he knew nothing about it. He must have gone in there and squatted after his bath when having some nuddy time..... anyway i made dh clean it up but stain was still visible so i also made dh sleep on my side lol!

Nic - Carpet stains - try vinegar and water and some bicarb! I don't know if New Horizons has completely disbanded, but it was 'restructured' and some people were shifted to Evolution. I plan on going to Monday's meeting, so I will be sure to say something to Antoinetta! I did my training with a couple of others from her team yesterday. I was thinking that even though it's longer by distance, it could be quicker to go a REAL back way and go through DC to get to Thomastown. By the time I get through all the lights on the other roads, I could get a clear run through Warrandyte and Wattle Glen, coming straight down into T'town. I'm sure I"ll have plenty of opportunity to give all my options a go to see which works best at what time! I was also told that there is a distributorship at Rowville...right near me, so I'm cursing that I couldn't be recruited by that one! Not to worry, my manager is really nice and there are some others near me in the same boat.
Better get going to get some dinner ready. My first party (training party - my manager will hold it for me!) is at my friend's, which is just a walk up the fire track (seeing as I don't have to carry a kit or anything!)...

Hehe Nic: finding poo outside its normal habitat ie a nappy or a toilet (recall my porta cot incident last week) is most unpleasant! ...but I had to laugh at your description... and making DH clean it up! I wish I could have done that... but it had to be dealt with immediately and DH was 5 hours away...

1 finger typing again... this boy has gone back to cluster feeding of an early evening...oh and his latest word is "up"... he always wants to be higher... I hold him up to the ceiling and he still calls out "up!"

Nic - borax is a very old remedy for lots of things:

Borax is found in creams, lotions, shampoos, gels, bath salts, and bath bombs. It is an emulsifier, preservative, cleansing agent, and a buffering agent. Commonly used in bath salts, borax has the ability to soften the water, and suspend soap particles in the bathwater. The result is soft, clean, and healthy skin, which is not clogged by the residue of soap particles. When used in collaboration with citric acid in bath bomb or bath salt recipes, the product will produce a fizzing action. It also forms bath or body gel, when mixed with water and guar gum. In summary, Borax has the following uses for body care products:

Preservative
Emulsifier
Water softener
Cleanser
Particle suspension
Buffering agent
Fizzing action (when used with citric acid)

You used to get it at the supermarket but I don't know if they still sell, but I assume they do. The old ladies I'm sure would still use it!!!

I'm pretty sure Borax is still available at most supermarkets. It's not expensive. I don't have any ATM but I should, it's so useful. I think that most carpet cleaning powders are just borax that has a bit of fragrance added to it and sold for twice the price. I'll have a look today when I'm at the supermarket.

sorry havent turned on the computer in a few days as the kids now have a few games on here and its hard to get them off plus I have just brought the harry potter book ( I know very late as everyone has read it ) but have been going to bed early so that I can read in peace, but DH is away now so I have plenty of time to read it before he gets back..

Kai's eye has healed up nicely just a big scab there now but it must be ichy as her hand is always there.

Julie Welcome back hope all goes well with the baby thing if you are trying to track you cycle then go to a web site called mycycle.com as I now know three ladys who used it and not only did they fall right away they even got the sex of the baby they wanted as it will track your cycle and tell you when you ovulate on the excated day so no harm in giving it a go..

sounds like all you melbourne girls had a great catch up I do feel lonely up here in cairns but hopefully you will still all be catching up in 09 when I move. Will you be catching up at christmas as we will be down from about the 30th of dec for a few weeks but I will be at my parents house in inverlock which will proble be still to far plus they dont have a computer. but let me know if you are catching up and I will see what I can do.

Well school holidays started here today but as everyone at the playgroup has older kids aswell we still went and all played really well so that was nice as it ment we stayed until 2.30pm so both my girls are asleep.

As I have just hoged the computer for the last hour I better let ds have a go as i did tell him I would be really quick
