ooo me firsty!

Hi ladies

have had a nice week so far. Hung around the house on Monday as had a speech therapist who is doing a PhD studing stuttering come over as Oscar is part of her trial - not that he stutters but it's just to do with language developement - she said he was doing very well and even commentated on how well Will was speaking too. Tuesday was walking group ...er... just realsied house is staring...i;m sad and i know it but i'm off to watch it then will be back to finish post!

No Julie, you aren't sad, I do the same thing all the time LOL! Prison Break on tonight, one of my fav shows. Good news about Will and his speech (and Oscar too!). Wish Marley would start saying something, I don't remember it taking this long with Chelsea.

I'm sitting here waiting for the washing machine to finish so that I can dry DH's work clothes so I thought I would jump on here and say hello to everyone.
Dh starts work officially today so I have to wake him at 5 so that he can get ready, he has to open up at 6.30, unfortunately he hasn't received his keys yet so one of the other guys has to open up for him.
Pat got a nasty hit courtesy of Bella last night, she hit him with a piece of pipe! He has a scrape near his eye, but thankfully it didn't actually hit his eye. Kate is at her camp, but apparently its supposed to rain for the next 3 days, so we aren't having that much luck!
I have my launch party tomorrow night, however noone has bothered telling me if they are turning up, so I have no idea on how many ppl are coming....I'm providing a bottle of pink champagne and some dip, clix bikkies,****tail onions,celery pieces, carrot sticks....is their any thing else???
well, better go do some more house work as I am going out today and won't have anytime to do anything before I leave. Ciao beautiful bellas!

may had her first swim lesson today sence she was about 2.5yrs but she did really well and was even tring to learn some strokes just has to remember to keep her bum in the air LOL, I had the wonderful job of tring to keep kai happy and still while the lesson was on but in the end she was happy sitting on the edge of the pool with me and splashing her feet, but she kepted trying to get to may and she would clap everytime may was having her turn to swim, the class was really small only 3 kids which was good as it ment more swim time less sitting and waiting ( which may is no good at ). I will start kai next year when its just us at home but as the house we are renting atm has a pool, so she will get the basic training from me as I have done baby swim class with the other two and think I can remember all the songs.
mel- wouldnt worrie to much all kids are different kai still isn't talking with word but is diffently trying as she will look speak ( baby talk ) and point all the time DS has asked DH to bring him home some ear plugs from work so that when he has to sit in the middle of the two girls he can put the in and have some peace and quite.
may has just had her last speachies lesson as we were told she is all better now and has a normal speech for a 4yr old which I'm really happy about as that means she can start school and be the same as everyone else, not like poor DS who has been on the wait list now for over a year.

well kai has just woken so better go get her so me food

DS has asked DH to bring him home some ear plugs from work so that when he has to sit in the middle of the two girls he can put the in and have some peace and quite - PML Tali, I'm sure my DH would like to have some earplugs sometimes as I am a bit of chatterbox and so is Chelsea, Marley prob will too! Great news about May's swimming lessons. I think it is so important for kids to learn to swim and not be afraid of the water. Do they have a creche at the swimming pool? Marley went to the creche at the pool for the first time this week and loved it and it was only for 40 mins but meant I could focus on Chelsea's lesson. What was the problem with May's speech (if you don't mind me asking?) and it must be great to know she now has normal speech for her age. Chelsea used to stutter a bit but thankfully that has stopped. Waiting lists are crazy. My GF in Brisbane needs to go to sleep school with her 15mth old and was told the waiting list could be up to 12mths! Well thats no good. She has now hired a private MCHN who starts at the end of October but they really need to look at these services. Enjoy lunch, I'm just having mine!

Good afternoon girls

Back at French music this morning for the first lesson of term 4 but the boys couldn't get with the program LOL Niall just wanted to feed, kept dragging at my top (so i fed him) and Wade decided he was going to be shy which was fine but as soon as he got home he babbled on how much he loved it

why couldn't he show a bit of enthusiasm there? Oh well, doesn't matter. There were a few new mums so that was good.

What is with "wacking" each other over the head with things these days? Poor Niall is really copping it ATM. If Wade sees me watching he will just poise his weapon over Niall's head (and not connect) but Lo! if I'm not there to save the day!

I'm not used to this constant sibling rivalry, in a physical sense. Wade is usually such a placid little guy... it really hurts to see them fighting. Still, it's not constant. They get along about 70% of the time. Between 5-6pm is the worst and i've learnt that sticking Wade in the bath for a long soak is the best solution. We are still having huge arguments at 5.30 too with Wade yelling at me "I WANT TO GO TO BED!!!! NOW!!!!" Have you ever heard of such a thing??? It drives me nuts because he says it about 20 minutes before dinner is ready. I am having to feed him earlier and earlier! And he really means what he says too... once he is in bed there's no getting him up. We take him to the toilet at about 10pm before we go to bed ourselves but that's usually a drama as he hates being removed from his "nest". Niall on the other hand is up and down like a puppet. His routine is very 'loose' ATM. His bedtime has kinda gone back to about 10pm most nights which means I don't get much of a break but DH does his best. How do kids work out how to be so different? it's got me beat!

Bath, sounds to me like Wade is trying to do something different so he can "stand out" from the crowd at your place? As an only child I am not sure whether kids do that sort of thing but a GF of mne was one of 5 girls and used to watch some graphic ABC surgery TV show during dinner (which as you would imagine grossed out everyone else in the family) just to get to sit in a room to herself. Oh the joys of dealing with more than one - you give me so much to look forward to LOL!!

Just finished and sent in rosehannah's avvy. Looking forward to seeing it up. She has three children like me which means trying to do a background is too tricky but I managed to make it look special.

Bath - Wade sounds like Chelsea at her first day at school yesterday lol!! Even though he didn't appear to enjoy it, at least he did. Thats hilarious (maybe not for you!) that Wade wants to go to bed at 5.30pm. Talking with my friends who have more than 1 child, they are always different, I don't know of too many who have kids with similiar personalities. Maybe Amanda and Jess can tell us about their brood? Can't wait to see rosehannah and Jess av, I know they will be fab!

This is going to sound silly but I don't really want to leave the house tomorrow, its going to be 15 with gusty winds, hail and thunder! Sorry guys, will have to pike. Give me a chance to catch up on housework and let the kids have a bit of break at home. They have been out so much this week, Chelsea is pooped by the end of the week. I can't wait for the warmer weather to start so we can get toghether in the sunshine and by then Maya will have finished exams and can join us.

Mel - got to love melbourne weather looks like everyone is in for bad weather atm queensland is all over the place atm we are ment to be getting rain soon. but it has been so hot building up that I think it might bring a storm with it. poor DH is working out side in out back qld in 40deg heat with no shade apart from the shadow the huge trucks cast, he now loves night shift so it will be a bit cooler.

may was missing the first sound of her words ie instead of CAT it came out DAT instead of PATH in came out BATH and so on, she picked it up from DS but as he was my 1st and I am with him all the time I didnt notice that he did it until his teachers picked it up 1st in melb kindy then again in darwin and now here but all we get is to wait on a list we will go private went we move again. it was hard to pick up with may as I was used to DS doing it but as I drop off DS at school every day and I have to take him to class ( still want go by himself Dh and I joke that I will still be walking him and may will run to class herself ) but his teacher told me that may had the same problem I was amazed that I had missed it again but as she wasn't in the school system yet she was seen within 6mths.

I too talk too much in the car and have a really bad habit of singing in the car and when you drive from here to cairns it can drive DH mad. Once we were driving from Darwin to melb and the whole way there I would talk to DH and he wouldn't answer me and I would crack it at him and he told me that I mumble and he cant understand me. Anyway when we got there he had to have his medical and the found out that he has lost 30% hearing it his left ear, and that why he thought i was mumbling he just couldnt hear me. at least now I can sing my heart out.

bath- as I was one of 7 you do have to learn to cope and to make yourself stand out ( I use to cry alot) so maybe that what he is doing just trying to get a bit of mum and dad time, maybe one of you could give him some one on one time and see if this stops the early nights. what time is he wake up, must be early if he goes down so early

dinners ready must go and help out DS has already greated the carrot and cheese so I better go and do my part.

OMG What a day! I did a shift at the YMCA today, just helping the supervisor out today because she has no 2IC so I went in and opened so she could have a morning off. Anyway everything was going really smoothly had morning tea at 9am and all the kids went off to play. About 9:30 one of the kids came out and said that a couple of girls had run away. After a check of the centre and the garden we couldnt find them, I did a roll call and they were definatley not there, so I had to put the centre into lockdown, and call the supervisor and head office (buy this stage I was really starting to panic). One of the staff went for a drive to see if they could find them. One of the girls from head office came out, and the supervisor left home to come in. After about 30 mins of frantic searching the girl that had gone off in her car for a look came back with the girls, they had gone to the shops up the road to buy lollipops. OMG I was so furious................ I just did my nut when they got back. Not the kind of stress a pregnant woman needs- Imagine thinking you have lost someone elses children

Anyway I will be back later to catch on everyones news

OMG girls it has been a week or there abouts since I've been in and posting, Lockies birthday went well, piccy's of the cake are in the gallery if you would like a squiz.

Our house went on the market last Thursday and had people thru on the Friday and then got a letter on Wednesday this week to say that a building and pest inspection was to be done on Monday. So DH rang the real estate agent to find out if the people buying the house were investors or going to be living here, well we are now looking to move as they want to live here, what joy. So we look at the outside of two houses yesterday and they will be available next week and the week after so will be moving soon. So we started packing the shed up yesterday and will make a start on the house this weekend and get everything non essential out and into the shed ready to move. We have to fix screens and make sure the house is spick and spane.

Better be back to it.

Ali sounds liek a stressful day!!!
Amanda cake looks great - I helped my SIL make the WW train cake a few years ago so I know ow hard those sorts of cakes are to ice!!
Tali I have heard the humidity and heat have hit Qld early this year

Mel hoped you enjoyed your hibernation and Bath your trip to MC - I only saw your post this morning as I was on my way to the shops with Flynnie. He is sleeping much better now and walking all the time which is great to see

I am feeling much better WRT work - I have cut back to 3 days in the office only for the next 3 weeks so my time at home is MY time and immediately I have felt like a weight is off my shoulders - no more working from home. Plus DH has handed in and got a good report from his supervisor on his thesis so another few more weeks of polishing and he is done with that.

Better go - wanna keep cleaning while Flynn is distracted.
