CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LUCKY LADY! Very happy for you!
Hello everyone, gees, you stay away from this forum for a little bit and so much happens! Welcome to all the new comers, I was a late entry here too! its great though, everyone here is so lovely!
Well, we are very excited as we have booked a holiday too! We are off to thailand, we were married there 2years ago in april. And we have friends who are living there and are expecting their first bub in July, so we are heading over so our bubs can meet and we can meet the bubs! and to have a lovely holiday too! We are going in sept, too long to have a count down yet! but still very excited. But I was shocked when I found out that babies, under 23mths do not fly for free on international flights! With Thai airways it is 20% of the fare, but they still have to sit on your lap..not happy about that.
I hope you, Charlyfrog and Mel have a great time on your hols!
Dane is going great. I have got him an Baltic Amber teething necklace and it has seemed to lessen his dribbling. I am not sure if it has helped in pain relief but he definitely has got less grizzly, but that could be because he already has 7 teeth through, and was at the end of the cycle iykwim. it seems like it may have been a bit late to really help. But I will just keep it on him and hopefully it helps with the next batch of teeth! Plus it looks really really cute! I will keep u updated of how i think its working!
On the snacks, I think teepee2 you were asking for an alternative snack, well I give Dane Baby Mum Mum rice rusks, from Woolies. They say on the packet for 12mth+ but I didnt see that till i got home, but seeing Dane nearly has a mouthful of teeth, i thought I would give them a try and he LOVES them! You can also mush them up and serve with milk or water. But I just break them up to pieces that he feeds himself with. They kinda dissolve in your mouth anyway! The sodium is 290mg per 100g, but the rusk only weighs 2.1g, so not alot.
Sarah and Mel I think Dane is now on a kinda similar sleep pattern to u guys, he wakes sometime around 12am, then if I am lucky he goes through til about 4.30, then back down til 5.30 - 6am. I sometimes get a 2.30 wake up call! We dont need an alarm either! If i am unlucky he wakes every hour and strangely the same time, every hour, He will wake say 1.22am, then 2.22 and so on. It is weird as it happens quite alot, the same time thing!
I have made a pen type thing in my lounge room with the coffee table and a couple of dining chairs! I will try paint you a picture! We only have one lounge and one chair, tv unit and coffee table in the lounge. basically I put the coffee table between the chair and lounge, blocking off the kitchen and on the other exit to the dining area, between the chair and wall i have 2 dining chairs lying down (they are padded all over) so he cant escape! It is great for when I am in the kitchen cos he can stand up against the coffee table and watch me, and he just walks the whole lounge room by holding on to all the furniture! He has started walking along the coffee table with one arm and letting go a couple of steps before the lounge suite and free walks and plonks on the lounge! so so cute!
Celsie - congrats on bubs crawling, i was very excited when Dane started, now I wish he would stay still!
Tina and Sarah, best of luck for your christenings, I hope bubs are on best behavior for you both, but then you will probably have funny stories if they play up! Make sure you let us all no how it went.
sorry such a long one! it is pouring rain at the moment, and has been for ages, i am sick of the rain! Floods too, but so far we have been ok, cant drive anywhere at the moment, and taking advantage of dane sleeping so well in the cooler, dark weather!
have a great day ladies!
Missbanana - I have never heard of the Baltic Amber teething necklace! What is it and how does it work?? DD has her two bottom teeth but there is a white spot to the right of them as well as her two top teeth on the verge of popping through so she has been very grumpy to say the least (if I leave her sight apparently this coincides with the world ending  lol!)
Hope all had a lovely valentines day! :heartbeat:
DH is just so scrummy! :p He arrived home the night before with a massive bunch of flowers for me and a single precious pink "lizzie" flower in heart wrapping for DD#1! :heartbeat: But its so funny how times have changed being married for a while as well as having kidlets, hehe! PIL's came up last night so DH & I could at least pop out to the shops together. We at least stopped for a choccy milkshake but not before we bought a new toilet seat with the step and rails for DD#1, as well as a portapotty with liners to have in the car AND a cushy travel toilet seat that unfolds to sit over any toilet seat so DD won't fall in, lol as well as a new stroller  to take on our holidays as our current pram will just take up way too much room..................and the hilarious thing was we were so excited to show the folks when we got home!! MIL laughed as she too saw how life has changed for us, for the better of course! :p I also had a giggle with her as I said what she was thinking, "My my, in your day there wouldn've been none of this!" We have it so great and I love it!! Hahaha!
So that was our valentine's, teehee! DH did sneak a cute card under my pillow as well. The other moment I had yesterday was that DD#2 was officially 8months old and I can hardly believe it. Too fast, way too fast!
Hey Jen! Lovely to see you again. That's so good that Mackenzie is sleeping so well! Yay!! Hope you get some good rest after being hostess for so many! Phew!! You're amazing! Chat soon, xx
Can hear DD#2 so best scoot, bbl lovelies,
Mwa!!
Hi everyone. Only have time for a quick one today as I need to clean clean clean!!
Celsie I went out and bought a silk bib today - just in case!! Thanks again for the warning xx
Great to hear from you Jen and its wonderful to hear that Kenzie is doing so well. Your right though - they are growing up way too fast!!
MissB - thanks for the tip in the rice rusks. I think I might have heard of those b4. I'll have a look next time i'm in woolies. LOL @ your makeshift playpen. We had to buy one for our place because Mikayla is the same as Dane - she's forever standing up and making her way around the room - we have tiles and she hit her head a couple of times so I put an end to her freedom and she now happily plays in the pen - I think she quite likes it because she stand up as much as she likes without having to hear us say "no" all the time. And I cant believe Dane has 7 teeth - what a big boy!!!
Charly how gorgeous was it of your DH to buy DD#1 a flower - very precious - she must have loved that!
Sarah hope you all have an awesome day tomorrow - cant wait to hear all about Lewis' special day. Oh and I'll be putting that headband on... over Matt's dead body!!! ROFL :P
Take care ladies xx
Hi,
Yes I'd like to know about the teething necklace too!
Tina - Hope you have a great christening too, I'll be glad when it's all over tbh, I much prefer attending other people's functions than planning my own!
Sarah & Tina - have such a lovely day with your precious little families on such a beautiful occasion! xx
And, hmmmmmmmm, hanging out for the official verdict by someone in particular :bellygrowing:........:p Hope you are feeling well anyways xx
Hope all are having a lovely weekend - weather is a bit stinky over here at the moment so just staying in doors and pulling DD#1 off the walls, lol!
bbl!
Mwa!!
Hi gals,
I am not sure if I am allowed to do this but this is what started my interest in the baltic amber teething necklaces, it was in the teething, what works for you forum as I was willing to try anything to get a full nights sleep! I was using gel and some panadol but would rather find something alternate to panadol etc. So, i started looking more in to it and a couple of my friends had heard of it, so I thought i would give it a try and like I said I will wait and see how it goes. It was pretty expensive but, $40, so I am hoping it works!
On a really exciting note, Dane balanced himself standing . I was holding one hand while he was standing next to me and l let his hand go and he balanced himself there! We did it lots of times, called DH in to watch and took a little video! So cute !
bye for now!
Thanks for that Miss Banana, I googled it and it looks really interesting. And Dane sounds like a super babe! Lewis is no where near standing yet, he is 7.5 months. He is still on tippy toes when I try and stand him so I think it will be a while yet!
Anyway better go and get his bag ready for tomorrow's big day. It is an orthodox christening and they put his whole body in the font:(! The priest has a beard so i hope he doesn't mind getting it yanked a few times!
Good luck for Lewis & Mikayla for their big days tomorrow.
BTW - Sarah that photo in your ticker of Lewis is just super cute!!! :D
Celsie. xoxox
Good luck to Lewis and Mikayla!
Missbanana - thanks for the info about the amber teething necklaces. Funnily enough, I wear a lot of amber and Diana loves playing with all my jewellery, so I have been thinking of getting her some of her own. I will look at getting her one of the necklaces now.
Hi to everyone else!
Hello to all my old belly buddies.............. :hello: I was just surfing the net and thought i would pop in to say HI!!!!!!!!!!!! All your little babies arn't really little babies anymore are they.... They grow soooooooooo fast.............
It has been a very busy few months for us we got married on the 15th December had the most amazing day ever felt beautiful had perfect weather, perfect day and im now a MRS .... We are back in the full swing of TTC again... This is our first cycle we are really trying and im already over it LOL!!!!!! I think i Oed on Friday so just a wait and see game now... Been having alot of trouble with my cycles the last 6 months having very long ones so i see a naturopath at least monthly sometimes fortnightly and we are slowly getting there.... This month looks good though if i did O it was on day 18 good considering last cycle it was day 31.......
I have moved away from forums a bit just see how things go and if i need support ill join again.......
I am off to read how all your little boys and girls are going..... :) Although i did notice a few of you are TTC again how exciting... And YAY Celsie on renewing your vowels how exciting.........
OMG Jane how great to hear from you. I saw someone on here the other day with a similar name to yours and I was wondering how you were going. Congrats on getting married!!! It sounds like you had a great day. Wishing you all the very best with your TTC journey and cant wait to hear some more good news from you soon. Take care hun. We mish you!!!!!!! xx
Well Mikayla's christening went really well today. She was such a good girl amd looked beautiful in her gown - I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. She was great through the whole service - h figgity self but hardly made a sound. She was content sitting on my lap sucking on my necklace :D and didnt even flinch whent the priest poured the water over her head. All in all it was a great day but we're so relieved its over. Now its time to relax!!
Sarah how did Lewis go being dunked in water?? I know orthodox christenings are quite long. I hope he didnt get too restless - I know there's no way Mikayla would last that long! Hope you had a great day xx
Well its off to give Mikayla a bottle then bed for us all - its been a long day.
Take care xx
Hi janeo! Great to hear from you, I hoped you'd pop in one day and let us know how you are. Make sure you keep us up to date on your news.
The christening went well. Lewis was okay during theservice. It is about 45 minutes and I'm not allowed to hold him until it's all over:( He did cry when he went into the font, the priest wasn't that gentle with the washing of his head! And he wee'd on my SIL when they were undressing him! But he was fine afterwards and the rest of the day. But like you Tina I am sooo glad it's all over!!
I will put a few photos up later today.
Just posted a couple of photos of Mikayla in her gown in my gallery if anyones interested. Not the best quality but will try to update them later on in the week.
Oh my God, what a princess! You must have been so proud.
I've just put a couple of photo's of Lewis's christening in his babiesonline photo gallery:

Okay, big news from the Rasche family!!!
Caeleb has a TOOTH!!! Big deal you say, except... it's his top front left tooth!!! What the??? I thought the bottom teeth came through first? Anyway, I'm just so proud of him. I can't stop smiling. My toothy boy...
He's done so much in the past two weeks. He's crawled, said "Mum", cut a tooth... and as I was walking out the door this morning, he said "Dad-ah"....
Oh...... please excuse me while I melt into a puddle of goo!!!!! LMAO

Teepee2 - AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! I second Janeo's thoughts - Mikayla looks just like a doll!!! So so so so beautiful!!!!!! I would've been carrying her around all day :p No one else would've been allowed to hold my princess! Hahaha!!
Thanks Charly - the way she wriggles around, your arms feel like they're about to fall off after only 10 mins of holding her :D
Janeo thank you so much for looking at the photos - I know it must be hard for you  The fact that you still drop in to see how we're going is so much appreciated and your strength greatly admired!! We hope to hear some good news from you in 11 more sleeps
Well I went to see my OB/Gyno today and got a new referal for the fertility clinic. Now just deciding whether to ring them straight away. What do you think ladies?? Should we take the plunge??????
Hi Everyone
What a busy few weeks! I love having relatives here .. but its nice to get back to normal, although Kenzie was very unsettled today because she didn't have a roaming fan club following her about all day. I put her on the floor and she screamed all day! Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better when shes had a good sleep and isn't overstimulated.
Kenzies new trick is to play peek a boo with her toys! She will grab anything and put it infront of her face and move it away quickly, I think have to say Boo! and she laughs hysterically! Very cute.
I am getting a little excited / worried / not sure .. but AF was supposed to visit a little over a week ago and she is no where to be seen. I have dont a pg test but its comes up negative. Not sure what going on! We are just *seeing what happens* in the TTC department .. I might do another test next week.
teepee2 :: Congrats on TTC2!! :bluedust: for you! Mikayla looks like a little princess in her dress, I can't wait to get Mackenzie christened we are waiting for my sister to get back from overseas because I was her to be a God parent.
Janeo :: Nice to meet you! Good luck with the TWW ... it seems sooo much longer than 2 weeks dosent it! :bluedust: for you too!
Celsie :: Wow Caeleb has been a busy boy hasn't he!! I just love the feeling when you experience the "firsts" .. we are still waiting for the word dadda - shes been saying mum for 2 months now I'm starting to feel bad for DH!
MumofLewis :: Lewis looks like such a little man in his outfit, so cute! He didn't look impressed with the dunking did he! What religion is that ceremony? We are Anglican and I thought that they just put water on the forehead .. or am I mistaken!?? Would like to know what to expect at Kenzies Christening.
Thats all I have time for at the moment .. need to go wash the dishes .. and do some washing it never ends does it!
:heartbeat:
Jen
Hi everyone
Okay, selfish post from me tonight. I am so proud of Diana. This evening I took her nappy off to give her some nappy free time. I put her body suit back on (sans nappy) and kind of forgot about it. Well, she played, fed and had a small nap and only went wee when we put her on the potty. No accidents.
Teepee and Mumoflewis - Yay on your bub's christenings going well. Both your photos are so cute.
Janeo - hi, don't think I've met you before. Good luck with TTC.
Jen - yay on Kenzie playing peek-a-boo with her toys. Very cute.
Hi to everyone else. :)
Hi Girls,
Go Teepee, I think you should start trying again!
Jen - The christening is Greek Orthodox as DH family are from Cyprus. I was shocked the first time I went to a christening and they dunked the whole baby! I had only been to Anglican ones too where they just put a bit of water on their head. Much more civilised :D
Starfish - How did you get on bidding on ebay for a playpen? I had no luck.
Well all of your bubs seem to be chatting away. Lewis only really says da da da da but it's not to DH, he just says it non stop to anything. He has never said ma ma :(
Anyway must go to bed, work tomorrow.
time for a new thread everyone.
