Hi everyone,

I have just skimmed through to try and catch up on everything. Hi everyone that has joined since I last posted. It has been ages.
DH has been working 80 hour weeks the last couple of weeks so it has been quite hectic for me. Tyler has been feeding 2 hourly and not sleeping much inbetween if at all. He does 3 hourly through the night after not going to sleep until almost 10pm. He also fusses a lot so it takes up to an hour to feed. Yesterday he fed almost hourly. I think it is the 6 week growth spurt. Today has been much better and I think because there is more milk there due to feeding so much yesterday he hasn't fussed much either and feeds are done in half an hour. Hopefully things will get easier with the feeding now.

I tend to change nappies at the end. My little guy poos his nappy after almost every single feed. If he does it near the beginning of a feed I will change half way through.

I was also told about the wonder weeks. There is one at 5 weeks. If you look up the child and youth health website they have the details on there. I suspect that along with a growth spurt is why Tyler has had a couple of unsettled weeks. At least that is what I'm hoping. I think his longest stretch without a feed so far is 4 hours and that has only been twice.

MumofLewis - you're not the only one not wanting another one straight away. As you can see there is 3 1/2 years between our two and I got pregnant straight away so it was planned that way. 3 years would have been good as well but we were moving interstate and timing wouldn't have been great. I had wanted them closer before having the first but personally I couldn't have coped with an age gap of less than 2 years. So far the age gap is working for us. Dylan just loves his younger brother and reads him stories, plays with him and can't wait for him to get a bit older. I have friends with kids closer together though and they all coped fine.

Anyway off to play games with Dylan whilst Tyler is sleeping. He wants some Mummy time
