Babies Born March 1st - 15th 2008 #4

SJ - Yeah, Jaz goes back to school tomorrow. She's OK. Had a big screaming fit at the Bowlo last night. Told the kids if they didn't stop running around they wouldn't get ice cream. They didn't stop, so they didn't get ice cream. She started straight away. Demanding it now. Told me again how much she hates me & that I'm the worstest mum. Threatened to jump out of the car while I was driving.
I just didn't say anything. If I did it was a calm 'I know'.

My time out & all I get is a hot shower every night after they are all in bed. some people like a bath, I have a shower. It relaxes & destresses me.

My DH is USELESS! I love him, but he's no help. The odd occasion he tries to help he usually makes matters worse! I couln't do it without him though for some reason.

it's so hot, if the fan or a/c is on high, poopy's nose gets blocked, but if on low, he gets hot and tired. :(
i hope he gets better soon.

time out - back in syd, when dh comes home, he takes him off my hands for a bit, so i can have a nice hot shower. he also gives him a bottle. so i can relax a bit. and on saturdays i go for yoga so he looks after poopy for a couple of hrs. but even then i can never relax, cos im always thinking of what he's doing etc.
even w mum here, she tells me to go have lie down in the afternoons but i cant relax.

my perfect time out would be to sleep thru the night without waking up every hr to check on poopy or worry abt him.

it will be nice to go for a meal and enjoy it without rushing or thinking of feeding or doing things between feeds.
it must be harder for you girls who are exclusively bf-ing...

I haven't breast fed Jazz since Thursday night coz I've been sick and all my expressed milk has been going down the drain coz as I mentioned the doctor recommened not breastfeeding while I still have the gastro bug and am on antibiotics for my sinus infection.

Matt had to get up at 2am to feed Jazz this morning, but he didn't change her nappy so at 6am when I got up to her, her nappy was full with wees and had leaked a tiny bit onto her clothes. I told him that if she wakes up in the middle of the night that he should change her once.

I gave her a bottle when we got home from daycare, then we all went out for dinner and she started falling asleep in the car. I was going to give her a bottle and then get her into bed but while I was fussing around filling up the dishwasher she fell asleep on the lounge chair so I just put her to bed without a bottle.

While we were out to dinner, I ordered the pumpkin soup and got a teaspoon and gave Jazz a little bit. She liked the taste but didn't like having a spoon in or near her mouth.

It's my birthday today had a nice peaceful day as the girls went back to school so got lots of sorting and cleaning done.

I am soooo tired.... Codie was having night mares so had to get into bed with her then Summy woke and wanted a feed and as i was feeding her Tahnie woke up cos her legs were aching and then by the time i got to sleep DH woke up going to gym so have felt BLAH all day. Had a glass of bubbles in the bath then had chinese and cake (what a mix) now ready for zzzzzzzz.

Jazz is really not well. Last night Matt got up at 2:30am and fed her, then put her back to bed but she woke up about 15mins later screaming coz her nose was so stuffy that she couldn't breathe properly. So I spent about an hour trying to get her to sleep.
I put the rocker in her cot and put her in there so she was sitting up a bit rather than laying flat on her back, made her room smell like eucaliptus, took her into the bathroom and put the shower on to steam up the room. We stayed in there for about 5-10mins, then I gave her the rest of her bottle and some panadol and she went to sleep and slept until 8am. We just got her dressed and went straight to daycare and told them they will need to give her a bottle straight away.

Matt's getting sick as well so that's fun. I'm kind of glad in a way that neither of them were sick at the same time as me coz now I'm almost fully better and can deal with a sick child more easily.

a silly question. when you have alcohol, should you feed just before you have some? once you have a glass, how long till you can feed again?
i dont remember anymore. been ages since i had a glass, soemdays i feel like i want one so bad.

Prama if you have a glass of wine or whatever after you have put poopy to bed by the time you feed again in the morning it should be out of your system but IMO if you have a glass then feed them it isn't going to harm them unless it is every day.

Sat on my butt for a good few hours today Summer isn't very happy though so it wasn't exactly doing nothing cos she is very grizzly.

My nights aren't going very well ATM Summer is waking so much so am not getting much sleep at all, so hard when they are in your room you can't let them self settle cos there are other people in the room. SOOOO TIRED!!!!!! She is a huge wetter as well so every morning I have to change her completely.

I'm off to get girls ready for soccer training back later

Got Jesse's new cot today. I put it in Bri's room. We seperated the girls coz they won't go to sleep at the same time. He had his lunch time sleep in there today. He enjoys it in there. I'm leaving him in the porta cot in our room at night for a little while yet. Now he's started sleeping a bit better I'll think about moving him. Hopefully he'll start sleeping through again soon, so I'll do it then.

Prama - im pretty sure that if you feed Poopy and then have a glass it should be OK - apparetly it stays in your milk for about an hour or maybe 2 - same as it stays in your blood.
I have had a couple of drinks now, i wait til MJ goes to bed then have a glass, by the time that she is due another feed (somewhere between 4-12 hours later depending on her night) its should be completely gone.
If i have a glass before she goes to bed i have found that she will not settle properly - dont think she likes it - have only done it once and now just wont bother, its not worth the hassle for me :)

Trina - sorry that Summer is not settling - is this a new thing? i have fond that MJ is waking more now, i think maybe to do with the cold as she cant breath properly and also maybe a growth spurt - i also think that she is more thirsty due to the cold too.

I borrowed a friends vaporisor so I hope that will help Jazz to breath better tonight. She's in the rocker to sleep again so she's in a slightly seated position instead of laying flat on her back. She slept well at day care today.

I'm really heaps happier now that I'm working again. Don't get me wrong, I love Jazz to bits but I was really starting to not cope too well having to deal with her all day everyday if you know what I mean. I'm the sort of person who makes "to-do" lists (even if they are only in my head) and I like to get everything on the list done and I just wasn't able to while I was at home dealing with Jazz everyday. At least at work I can have my "to-do's" and get them done. Sure, it's a different type of to do and they're all work related. I'm still not getting my to do's for home done but I'm actually feeling a sense of achievement because I'm doing stuff at work. I think I made the right decision for me! The thought of going back full time was certainly more scary than actually doing it.

Hey. Yeah Jesse's drinking more through the day. But just drinking, not feeding.

I'm going to give the cot a go tonight. I just put him down. When & if he wakes for a feed I'll just put him in with us. We are sleeping in the lounge room at the moment anyway, so I'm not as paranoid about not hearing him. There's only a wall between his cot & our bed, but for some reason, being just as far away & through 2 open door ways is more reassuring for me.

I get what you mean Danni. Don't worry. I'm so backed up with washing that I can completely understand! Everyone is different. What works for some doesn't work for others. Some can't stand to go back to work ever again, but some need it. Not only for time with adults, but to feel better. iykwim? I get it anyway.

Skye, this may sound really dense... what s the diff between drinking and feeding??? are you giving him water to drink or have i missed something? :redface:

Hey girls,

Sorry been so busy lately. Had mothers group at my place yesterday - 9 babies in my loungeroom haha lucky i had a big loungeroom. Should have taken a photo actually. doh!!! It went well though. DJ was just one big drooling mess yesterday haha everything was soaking wet.... I am just washing some bibs at the moment, he had none left... the ones he did have left are too big for him.

Think DJ may be getting Doni's cold grrrrr he woke up coughing and sneezing and I had him sleeping next to me after his 6am feed and he was all sniffly when sleeping.... hopefully it won't get too bad.

Our big walk is this Sunday - 42km eeeeek I have been walking heaps though, still haven't got rid of my belly mind you, but my legs are definitely looking better. Plan to take breaks after every 10km haha should have it finished within 8-9 hours..... Was going to go for a walk today but weather doesn't look crash hot today. I am starting to feel a bit more fitter now though.

Trina - happy belated birthday - so sorry i missed it :(

Prama - yeah you are allowed to have a glass of wine after a breastfeed, that is what I was told anyway ;)

Skye - how did you go with putting him in cot? Dj loves his cot :)

SJ - oh coolies on the swimming lessons I want to do that as well, must look into them. I know Doni wanted to take DJ to swimming lessons as well. Wonder if both parents can go along???

SJ - when he feeds, he's full on feeding for 20 - 30 minutes every 2 - 3 hours. There are times inbetween when he just wants a quick 5 minutes. I have given him a bit of water in a bottle, but he just chews on it.

Shell - I did leave him in there, but he did wake 3 times through the night. We were going good & he went down around 7.30, but we had visitors, so when one of the kids accidentally woke him up, he wanted to come out & play. It worked out OK though. I think once he gets used to the different surroundings it'll be good.

It is just so cold in Perth atm. Paddy wakes at about 4am every morning because he gets cold. I take him to bed with me, best hot water bottle ever!

Danni I thought if the kids were sick they couldn't go to day care? My niece has been sent home before.

I hope you're all enjoying your babies because once they become teenagers they are a pita. My two are pretty good but god do they love to argue about nothing in particular. Luckily by the time Paddy is a teenager I'll be to old and senile to care and I can send him off to his siblings to sort out.

Trina can't remember if you're using cloth or not but Paddy is a heavy wetter so I feel your pain. I use a BBH with a microfibre booster and a wool cover or a Lou Lou night nappy. A lanolised wool cover will work over sposies as well. I've got a pair of long pants that are great. The wool stops the moisture and neutralises the smell. HTH

A regular posting from me today with this cold and rainy weather haha

Portacots/travel cots - do you have one and which one do you have? I am looking at the Phil & Teds Traveller which is on sale at Babies Galore or the Kinderkot. Just trying to work out which is better. I am thinking I should spend the little extra on Phil & Teds so he can also play in it as well as sleep. We will be going away in December and will be sitting around a pool so that might be the best one to get so we are not always looking out for him.....Just wanted to find out if anyone else has a travel/portacot and if so which one.

Attachment parenting - I have started a bad habit, which I don't mind but lately when I am around he won't sleep unless I have him in my arms with a blanket over his body and his blankie teddy next to him and dummy in mouth..... I need to start weaning him off this during the day because once I go back to work child care workers won't do that..... Any advice?? I am sooo bad, he is just so snug and I enjoy having him in my arms falling asleep.

Skye - I hate it when kids wake up the baby haha we have a friend of ours who has the most cutest little girl 5 yo and she just wants to hold him all of the time but we keep trying to remind her he needs to sleep...haha she still sneaks into his room.

Teach - it is super cold in Sydney too - babies are so warm and snug - i love snuggling up to DJ.

Thanks teach was thinking of maybe trying a cover we are using sposies, she was completely wet twice last night all the way to her singlet the nappy isn't too full it just leaks out the section of the nappy that doesn't have filling on the side it doesn't happen during the day just night it's so frustrating poor thing wakes up cold and wet so i have to change her then she is fully awake.

Shell we don't have a portacot have used one in the past go and see how easy they are to put up and down as the one i had years ago was the biggest PITA it was horrible. I know what you mean loving snuggling with them Summer is in bed with me every morning, she is loving it too i think nice and warm and she can have a feed too what more would a baby want? It usually only takes a couple of days to break bad habbits but can be a very long few days IYKWIM.

I have to get ready for work it is so cold and miserable here i just want to bum on the couch, Summy woke up quite a few times again and having to fully change her twice i am totally exhausted.

Anyone scared of getting pg again? I still haven't had AF so no idea where i'm at and we have only DTD once and knowing my luck............ Scary thought really.

teach - ppl say poopy is calm and quiet, and my response is I hope he's like that when he's a teenager.
:rofl: i think it's good contraceptive for teenagers to look after a baby, and im sure your other kids will turn into you when paddy's a teenager and have to look after him. and they will know exactly how you feel now!


shell - we have a kinderkot that we've hardly used. i like it but the downside is bendign down to pick bub up, and a bit hard to checkon them as it;s on the floor. but it looks comfortable and is only 3kgs to carry around and comes w a sleeping bag for when they are older. but we ahvent used it much so cant say how poopy sleeps in it.

all that kms!! you've probably lost a lot of weight. woo hoo! with that distance we wont see you on BB much!

during the day i pat him to sleep, maybe i should change that sometime soon as next feb he will start day care. he used to fall asleep when i put hm in his bouncer but cries now. at night, he's ok sleeping in his bassinet. but then he gets sleepy when i give a booby good night feed.

Teach - PSML you are too funny!! MJ wakes at 4am i think maybe from the cold too - it was 13.7 in her room this morning... she needed a feed must be using more to keep herself warm... hve added more blankets thou

How many blankets is everyone else using... i just cant get my head around the sleeping bgs, still need to have her in sheets and blankets etc - silly i know

Shell - we have the Kindakot... its great to put up and down, havent used it much though, but when we did she slept in it fine... very light weight and so compact which is great.

with putting DJ down if you find that he wakes, it is possible cos of the change in temp... MJ use to fall asleep on me all the time and we both loved it :)
Now when i out her down i put a wheat bag in the microwave for 2 mins and pop it in bed or where ever she is going to go down to and warm it up... she smiles when she its the warmth and stays asleep now.

my little man has been grabbing his 'bit's for the last couple of weeks whenever im changing his nappy, and i think to myself, so this is how early they start and he'll be doing that for the rest of his life! :P

oh, im going to start poopy's swim classes in october, at the homebush olympic park. we'll miss this semester. it's 10$ per class for 10 weeks and it's water familiarisation etc.

So far we haven't had a problem with Jazz being at daycare even though she's a bit sick. Almost didn't send her today coz she has a gunky eye. I rang the daycare lady to check if we should leave her home or not but she said it should be fine. On Wednesday at the centre she slept for most of the afternoon and was still sleeping when we picked her up. We'll wait and see what happens tomorrow. If she has to stay home or be picked up early then Matt will have to take care of her.

The swimming lessons here they have to be 6 months old before they can start. It is heaps of fun they love it..

It is soooo wet here today Summy got up early this morning and is now back in bed asleep I will probably have to wake her up to take the girls to school, i don't like waking her up poor little thing i might stay in today and let her catch up on some sleep i need to catch up on the washing i need bloody gumboots and umbrella to get to the laundry though....

Prama LOL so true they are obsessed with their bits from a very early age.

For those of you worried about day care and what your babies do any good centre or carer should be abel to incorporate your babies sleep and settling routines at least in the begining and the kids usual adjust to the centres routine as time goes by.Its something I knwo at our centre we feel really strongly about to help both baby and mum settleinto care. Shell I am like you I have always rocked WIll to sleep in my arms all swaddled an with his dummy becasue I liked him close now I can read his tired signs so well and he has a pretty good routine so I have taken to 3 or 4 quick pats on the bum and lay him in the bassient and %90 of the times he settles himself. Sometimes I think its harder for us to give up things than for them. Good luck with DJ
Danni hope jazz is ok always agood idea to let the carers know how her night has been or if she is unwell will save you a phone cal during the day from staff if they know its just becasue she has had arough night, sometimes gunky eyes arent contagious and they can be sent to care if they are being treated.Jazz is sure to pick up lots of germs at care too unfortunatley its part of it all.
Trina hows your horse going? can you send the rain up this way we really need it bummer about your laundry being outside.
Cant tell you the difference in our household since hubby started his new job..the other one left a really nasty taste in our mouths so to speak.Our morning routine has changed a little though as I have to drive him to work as we no longer have a company car so bundling WIll up in the cold at 7.30 isnt much fun but we should get a runaround soon.

My boy is trying to sit himself up all the time so am going to have to get a highchair sooner than leter as he isnt much into the floor anymore I have to bring the pram in and sit him in that. He is growing way too fast :-(
Ok off to do some chorse have to go into town today to recvie my long service award from work and have afternoon tea which will be nice.

Prama - Already!! Jesse hasn't even tried to reach his yet. Maybe in the next few weeks though. Something to look forward to!

Shell - The porta cot I have is a Seseme Street one. It was given to me brand new. A woman bought it for her daughter, but the daughter didn't want it, so I got it. It's pretty plain. No toys or bassinette or change thing like I had on the girls one. I paid about $200 for the one I had for the girls.


I've been trying really hard to get Jesse to put him self to sleep.
I wrap him & go put him in his cot as soon as he's showing signs of being tired, give him his dummy & walk out.
He usually starts winging, but I leave him til he's actually crying before I go in. Sometimes he'll just go to sleep after a bit of a winge, but usually he just gets louder.
I go in & try to give him his dummy & just settle him, but it only lasts a few minutes. I go in 2 or 3 times & walk out each time.
Then I'll pick him up & walk or rock him til he's completely settled. I try to put him down before he falls asleep, but sometimes he beats me.
If he's still not asleep I will usually feed him just to get him asleep. By this time I'm too tired. Only if I can't walk or rock him to sleep. Sometimes it just won't work.

I'm trying to decide now what I want to do with my life. My sisters been seeing a social worker & told me what she's doing for her & I think I'd really like to do the same thing.
I'm going to start looking into it, but I have to decide how to do it. I might see if I can do the courses through OTEN so I don't have to go to Tafe. Then maybe I'll put Jesse into daycare one or two days a week while I do the work.
I'm going to look into it. I think I'll wait til he's 6 months. But then if I don't do it, I might never do it.

skye- what kind of courses would like to do?

im feeling a bit down, i love poopy so much but i still find im getting so exhausted and run down and some days i wish i had pre-poopy days. i feel so terrible for thinking that. i just wish i had some alone free time without any worry or having to think abt everything.
maybe it's one of episodes.

prama I totally understand it can be so very overwhelming and for all intents and purposes you are are a single parent atm and you dont get any you time.I have been this way too with hubbys job and get so exhausted I dont even feel liek I get a break when I am in the shower o abth anymore becasue I can still hear him Maybe when you get home STeve can give you alloted days or time to yourself. Dont feel terrible I think we are all still adjusting to being mums and just as we think we have the hang of it they go and grow up and doing something new and change their routines.And I do think its an episode so to speak that every few weeks you get that overwhelmed feeling about being a mum. Hang in there you are doing an amzing job and you will be home to Steve soon too.
bjrose good for you on the study front its great to do something fo rour mind..anything for your mind even if it doesnt come to anything in the end I think study is a great thing you go girl.

Prama - was there this week too... Like Bron said, its probably an episode.. its hard to explain i feel lonely but often am surrounded by people... broke down to DH Monday and tried to explain it but felt silly doing so. I think the biggest thing is that although i love being around MJ, i really cant rememeber when i last let my hair down and had fun and a good laugh and i think that now that we are all in more of a routine we miss it a bit more.
You must also be missing Steve so much and that will also be making it harder.

You know what i did, i ordered some face products from Strawberry net and they gift wrap for free, so i had them wrapped and put an uplifting message to myself in the card and when it arrived, even though i sent it too myself it did feel a bit better... try and pop out even for an hours a have a facial or something.

I have taken Skyes advice and now shower in the evenings after MJ is in bed - i was always a morning shower girl but now i can relax.

Bron - so glad that the new job has made things a bit easier although the early starts for you all must be hard - you must really be looking forward to the weekend :)

Cant remember what i said in the past about Jolly Jumpers but i got one today and i am sooooo glad that i did. they have changed the 'saddle' so maybe its not as bad for the hips - as for the falling off - there is no way with the way that this attaches. Anyway MJ squealed and babbles and laughed in it. We put on the wiggles CD (we found DSS old music and toys last weekend) and she bounced around. the only down side was that she spewed a few times (thank god for floor boards ;) )

Oh and our high chair arived today - the people ended up delivering it for me for free as the husband had to do a delivery near us, so that was awesome - it is EXACTLY the same colour wood as our table and chairs and barely looks new - best $40 i have spent in a while :D

Shell - you must the the skinniest mini in the town with all that walking. Good luck for the weekend - will you be doing it with DJ - he will be learning such good and healthy habits from is Mummy - well done

What a day..... I normally can go shopping in peace with DJ just sleeping in the pram, but not today he has constipation big time!!! I was in Target and he was screaming the store down arghhhh poor bubba. Tried prune juice diluted with cooled boiled water but he screwed his face up and didn't drink any of it. Chemist suggested Brauer's stomach calm which helped a bit, he poo'ed straight away. Still in pain though, will do some more massage on his belly tonight.

re: figure and walking - surprisingly enough I have only lost 4kg and finding the last 5kg the most hardest to lose. My belly is still there, finding every stomach exercise won't trim it down fully unless I do it every single day arghhhh but walking is great when the weather is good. Past few days have been slack, haven't been bothered so just been resting. DJ is good just sleeps in pram the whole time though.

re: portacots - thanks for your advice on the portacots, esp kinderkot, still not sure which one I will get. I think I will head to Babies Galore on the weekend to see if they have them all up so i can see what they look like outside a box.

Prama - don't worry we all feel that way, and after DJ's crying episode at Target today I had that same feeling. I just had these plans of a good shop around Castle Hill and trying things on while he slept, didn't work out that way. So, don't worry it is ok to feel like that I am sure all mums feel like that :) we all need our own time.

SJ - I got a jolly jumper too today at Target they were on special and couldn't resist. My hubby has it all set up now and ready for use. DJ is sleeping atm so can't wait to try it out :) I know I have heard it isn't good but he is holding himself pretty upright and we will always be there so he won't be alone.

Bron - wow sitting up already that is great to hear. DJ just falls to the side, trying to get him to sit up more though. He loves to stand though, think he will be like me and walk before he crawls hehheee

Skye - know what you mean about the self settle - it is sooo hard and I need to learn to walk away. might have to do it in stages just for myself not so much DJ haha

Jazz has conjuntivitus. The doctor will be here any minute now.

I was going to stay at work for Friday night drinks until 5:30 but I got a call at 5 when I had just gotten half a glass of wine. Day care called to tell me she had conjunctivitus (which she caught from the centre mind you!) so I had to pick her up. Maybe next week everyone in our house will be healthy and I can stay for drinks.

I'm enjoying my job, the more I actually know what I'm doing, the better coz I hate not having anything to do.

I keep meaning to ask: Is anyone else's bub's facinated with people's faces? Jazz will touch my face all the time, especially my mouth when I'm talking. She's really exploring my face so I've started to teach her the names of facial features when she touches my face. Then after I've said "that's mummy's mouth" I'll put her hand on her mouth and say "that's Jazz's mouth" and things like that.

With the noises she makes sometimes it sounds like she's saying words. Sometimes it sounds like she's saying muuuum. I know she isn't yet but it's cute. I feel like she's really developing her social skills so much quicker now since being at daycare. She also seems so much happier coz she's having heaps of interraction with different adults and children. I think I've done the best thing for her by getting her in daycare when I did, it's helping her development so much.

Grrrr! I'm soooo annoyed! I was told over 40mins ago that the doctor was 4mins away. I just rang again and it appears I was rung by mistake. There is another person with the same last name and that's who the doctor was 4mins away from. I was then advised that he wouldn't be here until sometime after midnight. Told them to forget about it (in an annoyed voice) and that I wanted to go to bed. I would have been in bed an hour ago if I'd known that.
I'll just have to try and get her into a doctor tomorrow afternoon.
Why do they have to be so incompetent!

Danni if you ust keep wpiing out jazz's eyes with a light saline solution util you get to the doctor she will be ok. They will prescribe some cloromisetin(sp) and after she has had it for 24 hours she can go back to care and you should only have to treat it a few days. be warned though both sets of your carers maywell require a note form your doctor to say what it is. I would also keep arecord of when she got her first eye infection some babies can get re infected quite oftenas it can stay in the tear ducts. Have you got anybody else who can pick up jazz apart form you and Matt? It alwasy helps i fyou have aback up as sick kids can really eat into your work leave and it can casue hassles. Just think she not only developing her social skills but also her immunity in childcare and they tend to go get most things in the first 12 months or so.

Prama - Don't worry. I don't think I know or have ever heard of a mother who doesn't wish that for just a few hours they weren't a mum. Just so they can have time off without worrying about the kids. I've had alot! I wouldn't trade my babies for anything in this world, but some days I wish that I could just walk away. Even just for an hour.
I am looking into a social welfare course. I think I'm going to have to do my HSC first though. I didn't finish it at school.

Danni - cooled boiled salty water should be used to clean her eye. Wipe it from the corner out with a cotton ball, then get a new cotton ball each time you wipe. You can break them up so you don't waste them, but the eye can be reinfected if you don't use a clean one each time.
We all had it about 6 months ago. Be really careful with pillows & towels, it is so easy to spread. I think Bri laid on one of our pillows once & I didn't even think twice. The next morning Anth had it & the morning after that I got it.

Shell - Has something changed in DJ's diet? I couldn't change ff brands with Jaz or she'd get constipated. Just going from bfing to ffing did it to her. She was really sensitive. It didn't bother Bri though. I only ever changed them if the one I usually got was sold out. But it might help to know that to avoid it in future.

SJ - The night time shower helps doesn't it. I think I've said before that I couldn't get through every day with out it.


I am so peeved with Anthony! He was sleeping yesterday afternoon when it was time to pick the girls up. So was Jesse, so I woke Anthony up & told him that Jesse was in bed sleeping & I was going to get the girls.
I walked out the door thinking I hope he doesn't fall asleep & not hear Jesse wake up. Anyway, I walked down to the bus stop waited around foe 5 minutes or so, went over to the shop for a loaf of bread. Had a bit of a chat & walked up to get Bri. Back up across the road from home. I went in, talked to the teacher for a bit, went out & got Bri, went & got her things together, walked out then had to go back for her hat. Signed her out & walked out.
By this time I'd probably been gone for half an hour. As we came in I heard Jesse screaming. I raced inside to Anth laying with him.
He'd only just heard him screaming & went & picked him up. He'd gone back to sleep & hadn't heard him.
It took me about 2 hours & 3 bfs to finally settle Jesse down. He could've been crying the whole time I was gone! I can't get over it. I know Anthony feels bad, but thats not good enough. I'll get over it, but I am SO peeved!

Skye - that is the thing, no change in formula brand and he has been formula fed now for 1.5 months full time so can't be that.... I did try to give him some rice cereal but he didn't even have any because he didn't like it. He might have taken 1/4 of a teaspoon if anything..... surely that wouldn't be the cause..... or do you think the iron in it may have caused the constipation???

Oh Skye I would have been peeved as well..... seriously men just don't think sometimes..... grrrr

I am having problems with DJ taking not alot of formula..... He will take 100ml (if I am lucky) at each feed and I am still feeding him 6 times in 24 hours..... so some feeds he will only take 60-80ml, is that normal?? he has plenty of wet nappies etc but just wish he would drink more than 100ml so he doesn't need so many feeds.....

Danni - with saying mum - DJ has been doing that for a while now..... I was wondering if it was meant something else, I hope it is mum keheheee
