AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
Poopy is now starting to wake up at 5!!!
Dilemma - my manager sms-ed me yest saying there's training coming up just a couple of days after I get home. IT's a course I've been wanting to do for years and it's finally been approved.
Steve will have to look after L for 3 days, which is goign to be really hard, as his routine/antics have changed so much since Steve last saw him. Plus I'll be goign so many hrs without bf.
What do I do???? I really want to do the course, Steve doesnt mind looking after him, he's going to try taking a day off and working from home the other 2 days. But it's going to be hard on him cos L's changed. The course is in the city from 9-5..
summy well done!! you're a big girl now!
shell - hows dj feeling? what are those fluid retention tablets? can you take them while bf?
still havent got AF yet...
eeek - baldy awake. will try to post pix soon
-
Teeth already. Scary! I keep sticking my fingers in Jazz's mouth to see if I feel anything. She chomps on my finger while I'm checking.
Jazz tries to sit up by herself. She must have good ab muscles now coz when she's laying down, she'll do what I can only describe as "crunches" to try and sit up. She hasn't quite got the balance yet unless she doesn't squirm. We bought her one of those kid couch things that fold out to a bed so she sort of sits on that with a pillow to help prop her up, but she often slides down.
-
OMG Prama!! Look at your little man!!!
He's lucky the baldy thing suits him!
-
Prama - Poopy is sooo cute in that pic!!!! He looks so strong holding his head up. DJ gets strong and then fed up after 5 mins from being on his belly.
As for your course, if it is something you really want to do then do it ;) just express your milk before you leave in the morning and you can always take a manual pump with you to course and just do it in the toilets if you are getting too full. I would do it especially since Steve has offered to look after him.
DJ is still doing solid constipated poo's and he isn't even on solids. I spoke with mums today at mothers group and the older babies had the same problem they became constipated when teething, so that was a relief to know that.
No you can't take this tabs when breastfeeding.... I have only started taking them, found they got rid of fluid before AF.....
Trina - wow two teeth Yipeeee that is great news Trina :)
Skye - yeah maternity bras are comfy but they never fit me properly anymore, so my boobs just don't look right in them. They look bigger than what they actually are....
Well I better go, heaps of housework to do.

LOL - he looks funny, such bald round head. he had some sandalwood paste straight after the shave, you can see someof it on the pix. it helps soothe and keep his head cool. it's funny, he still tries to grab his hair.
shell - thanks, i might do that, take a pump with me, at tleast the hotel where the training is the bathrooms will be nice and clean.
no teeth here eihter.
hope dj's consipation goes away. can he take soemthing like prune juice without sugar to help him?
we gave poopy some carrot/potato with a little formula, he ate it w a funny face, then threw it all up w some phelgm. poor baby.
skye - are u on facebook?
shell - havent replied to you there yet, poopy's better, cough almost gone and just a little stuffed nose.
-
I'm on facebook too
Where is the pic of poopy? Is it here on bb in the gallery?
-
it's my new ticker pix trina.
you can find me by prama and baldy poopy is my profile pix. his hair is a 3 day growth now.. eek
-
My computer must block certain things becasue I cant see in pics unless they are in the gallery
-
I am Skye Wynne on face book. My pic is our wedding.
Whats yours Trina??
Just sent request to you Prama.
-
Prama that photo is too cute. You should photoshop a few gold chains round his neck and he'd look like a real homeboy.
Paddy has a new trick. I sit him up and then let him practice balancing himself. He does this for a few minutes at a time before he starts to wobble. His favourite trick is to slowly lean backwards until he touches his head on my legs (they're stretched out on the recliner). I wish I had that much ab control!
-
Poopy's little head is so shiny he is sooooo cute.

Good evening girls
Hope you are all having a great night. Doni is in Townsville tonight and tomorrow and back on Friday night, so just DJ and I tonight. Watching So you think you can dance at the moment :)
DJ is going to his first 1 year old birthday party on Saturday. One of the girls from mothers group has invited us along to his birthday. He is such a cutie too. So tomorrow going to get a little something from one of my fave baby clothes shops :) Also going to get some new photos of DJ developed.
Trina / Skye
I am also on facebook under Michelle Lia. Skye I have sent you a friend request.
Teach
Wow that is fantastic for little Paddy such a star :)
Prama
That is sooo cute :) He is such a cutie Prama.
Yeah exactly, at least then you can do your course, because all hotel toilets are pretty clean and you might be able to use a closed door meeting room or something if you speak to reception on the day. Somewhere private. I am sure they could arrange something for you.
Tried Brauer's Stomach Calm, and it only works for that particular day and then he is constipated again. I tried diluting prune juice but he didn't like it. So, might try the sugar in warm water been told that works well. He seems to be fine tonight, he poo'd twice today, only small ones.
Oh wow on the carrot and potato :) I tried farex again today with a little apple, still didn't like it so I think I will just keep it up. But some mums say that their babies don't like farex at all.
Good to hear that Poopy is feeling much better :)
Well I better get going and give DJ some attention :)

Forgot to mention I uploaded new pics to my gallery of DJ :)

All my girls hated farex, Summer seems to like anything and everything so lets hope she isn't fussy like them (mainly paige)
Sent you a request shell. I'll check out the pics you uploaded

I've uploaded a photo of my new hair do that I got done today and I LOVE it! Jazz gave me a funny look when we arrived to pick her up from daycare. She smiled heaps at Matt and when I was carrying her out to the car she was looking at me like "who are you?" and then looking at Matt and smiling at him.
Hopefully getting a high chair tomorrow. Bought a jar of 4-6 month old babyfood, just vegetables which I'm going to try giving Jazz on either Friday night or over the weekend.
-
Prama - i LOVE that pic - he is such a georgous man!!!! I hope that you have decided to do the course, i would go and just express in the loo's as others have suggested.
The biggest problem is that Steve will not have spent so much time with L, but i dont think that will e too much of an issue. Why dont to make a diary of the week before hand so that he can read what you do, also maybe video the noises he makes when he is tired, hungry or just wants a cuddle, i know that MJ's noise have changed heaps, so i guess that would be the hardest bit for Steve.
Talking about feeling like a whale, its awful, it is really starting to get me down and then i feel like comfort eating, so its not helping at all :( I really wanted to be back pretty close to by pre pg weight by my 30th but that is only 5 weeks away now so it is looking pretty doubtful.
Summer - you are such a big girl cutting those teeth, i hope that they are not bothering you too much.
Paddy - you are growing up too - what amazing tummy muscles!!!
Had a bad night the night before last, i was up feeding MJ at 11.30, 1.30am, 4.30am and at 6am she woke again so grabbed her and put her in bed with me. Dont know why she was so hungry or what was wrong... better last night only up at 2am for a feed. Maybe a growth spurt im thinking.
Went to Mums and bubs movie session yesterday and saw Mumma Mia, it was great, enjoyed myself, but i was sooo tired from the night before that i didnt enjoy the catch up wth MG girls as much...
Shell - i hope that DJ is feeling better, could you give him a it of just plain water, maybe he is getting a bit dehydrated and thats why he is blocked up...
Going to try and book MJ into an osteopath, her hips are worring me and she postures funny with her left leg and seems to drag it at times... hope everything is OK with her, she doesnt seem bothered, but it just doesnt look right :(
-
Danni - Snazzy hair! I bet it's easier to manage.
Girls on face book. I've got heaps - like 100 - pics on there. Some from Jesse's birth that I can't upload onto here coz they are too big. Go have a look.
Shell - I gotta get a jj after seeing DJ in his! So cute.
SJ - I hope you get things sorted with MJ. Doesn't sound good.
Jesse slept good last night!!! He went down around 7.30, but got up again about 8.15. Went back down at 10.30 & slept til 6am!!!!!!!!! Then til 9! Yay. If he keeps going I'll try his new cot again!
-
SJ - yeah tried water but he doesn't like water :( tried cooled and warmed and just refuses to drink it. He seems better, still doing constipated type poos but it is all related to his teething so makes me feel a bit better. Just been giving him the Brauers Stomach Calm and it helps. Hope all goes well with osteopath SJ, I didn't take DJ back from the last two visits and I think I still need to take him. His head still wobbles a bit and most babies his age can hold their head without it wobbling.... Wonder if its something to do with the twist in the base of his skull...... hmmmmm I need to make myself an apt so might make him one as well. I find osteo's are the best and I am sure they will be able to tell if MJ's hips are ok :) Let me know how she goes.
Skye - yeah he absolutely loves it, don't put him in it everyday, always make sure Doni is around to help me put him in. They are definitely worth the money. I picked mine up from Target on sale for $34.
DJ is due to wake up soon so I better go. Planning to go for a walk when it warms up here. so damn cold.
Have a great day girls.
-
Can I get all you're details so I can add everyone to my facebook too?
Poor Jazz, her cough is really bad and I think her throat is sore coz she'll sort of cry a bit after she coughs. Sometimes she'll just keep screaming which would make her throat even more sore, but you can't tell an almost 5 month old that crying is only going to make it worse. Poor girl. I'm giving her panadol and 1/4 of a mil of dimatap for her cough.
She is also going to have a bit of an egg on her head I think. Today one of the kids at daycare accidentally dropped a toy on her. She cried for a few mins then she was fine but has a red mark and slight lump on her head and a tiny scratch on her nose (I don't think the scratch is from the toy though). The family day care lady was so worried about what we'd say but we both just said to her "meh, I guess this is probably going to be the first of many, many bumps and bruises" Honestly, as long as she's not knocked out or badly injured I'm not overly worried about a little bump.
We got a high chair today and Matt also got a stroller for when we can't be bothered lugging the huge pram around. Both are really good quality and look almost brand new. Stroller cost $12 and High chair worth over $200 for $85!

Well i am soooo dissapointed.
Molly Janes first swimming lesson was today and i was so excited about it.
Anyway we get to the pool and i put on her new bathers ($5 speedos from DFO reduced from $35!!!!)
which she promptly christens with a wee
Anyway we were the only ones there so it was a bit of a fizzer. she already loves the water so the stuff that we did wasnt new to her and yeah all in all it was a bit of a waste.
Told the people on reception that i was not going to come back until they ave other people booked into the class as there wasnt much of a point to it really... they were good about it and let me have the lesson for free.
I think that we will still go to the pool once a week, but i will just do stuff with her anyway.
Poor thing is buggered, she took one suck of my boob and fell asleep, she will be sooo hungry when she wakes up
Hope everyone else has a great day.
-
hi girls,
thanks for the cute commetns, teach i'mgoing to put some bling and his wraparound sunnies and take a pix. hehe, he will look like a homeboy.
danni - hope jazz is better, poor baby.
sj - that sux, it would be more fun if there were more bubs. i'll have to ask when i register for swim classes to see how many bubs there are.
i had such a bad day yesterday. im startign to hate some of my relos.
my aunt cooked me a wonderful lunch, a huge spread, she's in her late 70s, and it was fantastic.
her unappreciative DIL comes for lunch everyday, and just waltzes in and eats the food without saying hello to my aunt. she tehn makes some comments abt teh food.
as she was leaving, she packs some food to take away, and dips her finger in some chicken CURRY and gives it to Poopy. my mum was holdign him. I was so shocked. my mum said you cant give a baby curry. the cow has 2 20yrs+ daughters. i told her you have to ask me first befor you do this. she just laughed and winked at me. i was soo angry. first of all, that b!tch shouldnt have given a baby curry, i was also seething cos i wanted to be the one to give him the first taste of these things when he's older. I really hate that f++king cow. everyone dislikes ehr cos she's so full of herself.
I wanted to tell her husband, my cousin, but my mum and other aunt (3 of us went to this aunt's place) said to let her be. I got angrier, why should i always have to let it be when ppl are always commentign about the way i do thigns with poopy. instead asking how is he with this, etc. allt ehy say is you should bathe him like this, you shouldnt wear taht for him. you shouldnt take him out a lot, travelling isnt good for babies (well, we'll stop travelling to your house then, and excuse me, he's beenout and about since day one, so shut the F up).
arrrrgggh. so sorry im still so so angry.
anyway, im goign to go to teh gym and vent this out. ive only lost 1kg since ive been here, so im down abt that too.
those bubs rolling.. the last 2 mornings, when poopy's starting to wake up and grizzle, he rolled onto his tummy still have asleep. i was so scared yest morning when i saw him on this tummy. this morning, i saw him do taht. i hardly slept cos i was afraid he would do it again.
what should i do?
i still wrap hiom and tuck a sheet over him. he still manages to roll.
-
Prama have you tried putting him some of those rolly sleep positioner things? I have WIll between some in his bassinet from where I had him elevted with is cold I am going to transfer them to the cot.
-
Prama are you worried about him not being able to breathe when he rolls over? Is he in a cot? You could either wrap him back up again and hope that he doesn't fully wake up or just leave him and make sure his face isn't covered with the wrap. I have woken up to summer with all her blankets right over her head, she only rolls over in her cot if she isn't wrapped properly or is over tired and wriggles out of her wrap. I would have the sh*ts too stupid crackpot giving poopy curry hope it wasn't a hot one it would burn his insides don't you hate having to keep the peace in family?? I did that for years and then i just gave up and now don't speak to many (I have 6 siblings) either way is hard really. But anyway just bit*h slap her next time hehe or just imagine it.
Danni I am Petrina Caldecoat on facebook
Bold and the Beautiful is on i am a bit of an addict sometimes i can't believe i watch it cos the storyline is just so ridiculous but it's my time to sit and have a cuppa and zone out ah well theres my confession for the day.
Hope you are all well
-
Prama - I'm so sorry about your cousin in law - or whatever you want to call her. I don't know how you bit your toungue.
Try not to worry too much about other peoples comments. They are not you & they do NOT know what is best for your child. Only you can decide what is right & wrong. Sure babies need routine, but they also need to be out & around. Otherwise could you imagine how overwhelming it would be their first time? They would freak out!
I don't think you need to worry to much about him being on his belly if he's strong enough to get there on his own. If he's strong enough to get over, he should be strong enough to move his head if he needs to.
You could always roll him back over if you are worried.
Trina - SHAME!! Sorry. I'm always picking on my SIL coz she watches it too. I watch Neighbours & Home & Away, but if I miss a few months I am behind, I think I could miss a year of B&B, but I'd still be able to keep up! Lol!!
Jesse's been in a fowl mood today. He was awake for a bit at 6, so I put him in our bed. He went back to sleep & woke at around 9am. I tried to put him back down at around 10 - he is usually only awake for about an hour before he goes down for his morning sleep.
Anyway, he finally fell asleep at about 12. I walked, rocked, let him cry, put him in the pram & pushed it. He eventually slept for about 10 minutes.
I was so frusterated. He wouldn't go back to sleep & was grumpy, so I gave him a bath. I tried to get him to sleep again after, but gave up.
Bri & I went for a look at the op shops at about 2pm. He fell asleep in the pram, finally. Anyway, slept for about half an hour, til I put him in the car. He stayed awake the rest of the time we were out, but was buggered. I got home & went & put him on our bed with his dummy & he's been asleep in there for nearly an hour now.
-
Prama - what a cow, you poor thing, i could almost hear the anger in your voice. I would have said something, you have taken so much crap from them all, you are very tolerant.
Maybe you should remind them that you will be gone soon and then they will have nothing to complain or moan about...
As for the rolling, i dont wrap MJ any more as my biggest concern is that she would roll and not be able to move, so she has her hands free, she does wake a bit more, but i dont worry so much.
MJ was grizzzly one night, just a bit unsettled an not yet crying, so i though, i'll just leave her, she might settle... anyway, she still keptgoing so i though i had better get up, she had managed to pull one of the blankets loose and it was over her head. I SH*T myself and felt terrible for not going in there earlier, but i cant get up with every noise she makes... the blankets are really secure now
Trina - my confession for the day is i watch Deal or no Deal every day, MJ has a feed at that time and i have a cuppa, its the only time i turn the TV on during the day, except weekends - otherwise iwould watch all day :P
Speaking of which i had better finish up, ts about to start - so sad i know!!!
-
Hahaha SJ!!! Shame about the swimming, it is all pretty basic at most places when they are bubs, pretty much stuff you do in the bath anyway, you'd save heaps of money just taking her for a swim but then again you have to pay for that too, pretty slack they didn't call and tell you you were the only one its more fun with other bubs.
Skye Oh the shame I know i have even got my Mum watching it, she isn't the soapy type if i call her during it she sais "you'd better go your show's on" too funny... I like how you can miss a couple of months and still know exactly what's happening.... If dh is home when it's on and i try and explain what's happening we end up just laughing so hard cos its so ridiculous.
-
hi girls
thansk for your word of support. im still angry but my mum thinks im taking it too seriously.
i wish i could be more assertive, im a pushover really. i never can say things on the spot.
my relos like to think they know better. if i disagree, then im rude, i know too much, beign too fussy. in a way im glad im going back in 2 weeks.
i wrap poopy, sometimes he manages to get his arms out. im going to leave them out now. at least if he rolls and im asleep, he can lift his head.
sj- i know. i usually get up and have a look when he grizzles but yest several times i jsut left it cos i was so tired. i felt so guilty and horrid when i saw him on his tummy.
LOL - sometimes i watch Judge Judy!!! then i ask myself, why the hell am i watching this crap.
Poopy is now the Bald and Beautiful :P
good nite, girls. talk tom.xoxo

Morning girls,
Hope you are all well. Doni didn't get in the door until 11:30pm last night, his flight kept getting delayed from Brisbane because of the storm in Sydney. I am off to DJ's first 1 year old birthday party YAY so that will be fun :) I am still worried about his leg twitching. I am thinking of taking him to the doctors..... It seems like it should be fixed up by now, he is 5 months old now.... I read up and they say normally that will clear up within first few months..... Teething also driving me crazy I wish his tooth would hurry up... He is back to sleeping 5-6 hours each night now.... arghhhh I feel like he is a newborn again.....He still has good sleeps during the day which is good, but very sooky and wants me to hold him. He was very unsettled last night, we ended up sleeping him in our bed.
Prama - I would have been so upset as well. crikies!! What was she thinking..... the older generation just have no idea..... think it was ok to do that to us when we were younger, but look how many of us have allergies or intolerances to foods as we become adults..... because of them giving us stuff too early.
SJ - I was bummed to read about your experience with swimming lessons, I would have thought it would be more packed in the class as well. I looked into classes locally, undecided on where to go.... I am going to ask those questions in regards to class size though because that would be better having a fuller class.
Skye - sounds like you are going through what I am going through with DJ... Is he teething as well?
Trina - oh I love B&B haha I missed the episode with what went down with Katie and Storm doh!!!
Well girls, I better get myself organised to head out this mornign.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

The bald & the beautiful!!
Prama, I'd watch him any day!!!
I think I'm going to take Jesse to the hospital today. He's had a dose of panadol & is ok for now, but was grizzly all day yesterday - crying alot, & had a fever of 38.1 all night. He only wore a t-shirt suit to bed with just one blanket around him & was still hot & sweating. He usually has that blanket plus a sheet & two other blankets. & a jump suit.
His temp is down at 36.0 now - panadol - & he's not as upset, but he's still sweating.
He was waking up every hour or 2 last night screaming like he is in pain.
He has no lumps or anything on his gums & no red cheeks, nothing to make me think its teething. But he hasn't really been feeding & has been startling real easy.
I'll give him another bath soon & take him up to the hospital.
It's been going on for 3 days now & getting worse.
-
hi
i forgot to say thanks for all the advise re- the training. i think i'll go for it and do as you suggested, ask the hotel if they have a parents room etc where i can pump.
skye - poor baby, i hope his fever goes away. lots of hugs and kisses and cuddles from me, and get well hug from poopy.
shell - poopy got the twitch a couple of times in the last week. it's less than before but he gets it once in a while.
poopy's sleeping pattern is also changing, he doesnt want to go to bed, managed to get him to bed at almost midnight.(he wakes up as soon as i put him down and then talks and carries on) and then starts grizzling early morning. he started at 3am ish and i gave a feed at 5. so i only slept 12-3, then abt 6.30-8. im going to start feeding him at night too, hopefully that will help him settle and teh change is just not a development thing.tho they do change sleeping habits 5-6mths. arrrgghhh.
swim class- i think i'll go in one day and jsut see what happens at the swim classes. and then see if it's worthwhile. shell - which pool were you thinking of?
another 2 weeks go come home! yaay. i'll miss my mum and dad and bro, but im so looking fwd to seeing steve and being a family again and getting into routine.

Just got back from the hospital. Poor Jesse has a sore throat. Got some abs, & he should be feeling better in the next few days.
-
Jazz has a sore throat too. I give her 0.3ml of dimetapp twice a day as well as panadol and it seems to be helping.
She had her first solids today. Ate a fair bit. The first couple of spoon fulls she was not happy about and pushed the spoon away and out of her mouth but then she got the hang of it and when she saw the spoon coming she opened up her mouth and munched it all down. I think she's still hungry but she's too tired now.
-
Jazz has discovered high pitched excited screaming and a few other new noises. She is loud!
-
Hi girls,
Hope you all had a great weekend. We went to visit some friends up at Blue Mountains, was such a beautiful day. DJ was so good too :)
Skye - poor Jesse with his sore throat.... i hope he feels better and good idea on taking him at least it was peace of mind for you. We always know when something is wrong - good old mothers intuition.
Prama - good to know re: twitching... never know what is right sometimes. He is so strong standing on his legs absolutely loves it. Hates laying down on his back at the moment but not rolling to get off his back.... Just wants to sit upright or stand up. I sit him on my lap, starting to hold himself up more too. As for pools, not sure either Norwest or Stanhope Gardens. Thinking I will ask if I can check out a class to see if it is what I am after. Not sure if they will let me. Unless we just go to pools at a time when the class is on so we can check it out. Need to get DJ some little speedos kehehee
Danni - great news re: solids. I tried DJ a few times last week on rice cereal and he will only have it with pureed apple but he had probably 1 teaspoon in total, not much... I will try it again this week.
Anyway better go
Shell xxx
-
I dont know if jazz is actually "eating" the solids now that I think about it. She might swallow some of it, but I think the rest of the time she's just moving it around in her mouth and spitting it out.
-
Well we had a late one last night. 1am Jesse finally went to sleep. I was crying by the time he finally slept coz I was so tired & frustrated. He was awake every hour or 2 & still really hard to settle. I tried him in the porta cot once, but I think it was only half an hour later he was in bed with us & stayed there.
Sometimes would take the dummy, sometimes it had to be the boob. He was a bit better today. Still hard to get to sleep but a little bit happier.
It did take a while, but he was asleep by 9 tonight. It did take about 2 hours though.
I want my happy baby back. The relaxed, laid back happy baby I had for the first 10 weeks. The one who went to bed awake, put himself to sleep & slept til 4am, then 8am.
The baby that was just happy to lie there & watch the girls for ages while I got things done.
I really hope some time in the next few weeks we can have that back. Getting through each week like this is so hard.
Anyway. He's asleep, thats a start.
-
Hope Jesse gets better soon Skye...
I am a bit lost atm, not sure what to say really but my life may be about to change in a big way. Came on to have a vent but not sure what to write. Might try again later
Hope you all have a good day
-
Everything OK Trina??
Hope you can get it out soon & feel better.
Jesse slept heaps better last night. He still woke every 2 - 3 hours, but only fed & slept again. & he's still asleep now. Poor baby's catching up I think.
-
Jazz's cough is getting worse. Matt's going to take himself and her to the doctor this afternoon coz they are both barking terribly.
She does keep making her excited "fire engine" squeels. Very cute!
She went to bed at 8pm last night like normal, but then I heard her wake up at 12:30 just after Matt came to bed. He said she woke up at about 11pm and had been fussing ever since. She refused the bottle at 11pm but took it when he got up to her at 12:30. Then she woke herself up coughing at 5am. He got up and cuddled her for an hour, he didn't want to feed her coz he knew I'd want to breast feed her. He came in at 6am and woke me up to feed her.
