SJ I only have one lou lous night nappy. I found that BBH (wool cover or longies) with both inserts and a microfibre booster will hold for most nights. The only time I have leaks now is if he wakes up for two feeds during the night. He of course has been doing this lately and it's freezing in Perth.

Shell I haven't tried goats milk but I found that if I put cream on 3-4 times a day it helps heaps. I think the key for Paddy is not to let his skin dry out. Hope you're feeling better.

Well I think the fridge is fine. Anthony just doesn't know what he's talking about.

Summer was really really badly constipated i had to get infant coloxyl liquid, she was in so much pain when i changed her nappy she would try and push it out but it would only come out a little then go back in (sorry tmi) it took a good 5 days to clear it out and now she is going every day. She was cranky and in lots of pain and kept trying to push and going bright red.

I worked out what his problem was. He's not constipated, just hasn't actually had to DO a poo before. Normally he farts & poos with it. Since starting solids its still soft, but not watery like it was. Anyway, he's never had to PUSH a poo out. Thats all that was wrong! Lol!!

Welcome home Prama! Must have been freeing for you - what a shock from the weather you would have been having.

Humm not going to do to many personals as i dont know how long MJ will be quiet for lol

Started solids Friday evening the baby led way -
Jo i understand why you couldnt... its messy as, but i love it, i wll post some pics when i get round to it.
    So far she has eaten
Floret of Broccoli (she actualy has had quet a few, she loves them)
    stick of cheese
    Rock melon
    Stawberry
scrambled egg (not too impressed with that)
    Vegemite on toast
some of the filling of my homemade chicken pie
    pumpkin
    golden kewi fruit
    weetbix

She loves the veggies the most, followed by the cheese and the fruit it is very very messy and although she wears most of it, she must be getting a bit in as its coming out the other end. (like loads and loads!!!)

Those that have had constipated babies, do you give them farex? apparently this is likely to bind them up as it has added iron... Yeah J looked funny 'pushing' out her first food poo!!!

was going to say heaps more, but forgotten, havent slept much, DSS wet the bed (again) last night and woke me up stripping his bed... its starting to get to me again, trying hard to just not say anything tohim about it, but i could do without the extra washing

Skye sorry to hear about the washing mach... hope the fridge is OK... If its not, maybe you could discrbe the problem and i could get DH to tell me what is wrong with it etc

Teach - thinking of going to Perth for the Redbull air race... south Perth, can you recommend anywhere to stay or surrounding suburbs to look - i thinking apartment style due to MJ... thanks

will come back and write more when i reemeber, soory
    Hope everyone else is well

Hi SJ. Your poor DSS. How old is he again? I know people who wet the bed right up til they were 18 coz of their home lives.
My old boss took in her DSD coz the poor kids mum left her on the side of the road & rang them up & told them to go get her. She was only 9 then. She wet the bed til she was about 12. They tried an alarm thing & everything else they could think of. She used to heve to get up & wash her hair everymorning it was that bad.
It comes down to the child feeling secure I think. I know its hard though. Jaz still does it occasionally. Usually every 2 - 3 months. She is getting longer between though. I get the sh*ts with her too. Its hard not too.
Maybe if you & DH just reassure him more than usual that you both love him & make him feel more secure it will settle down. I know its hard when his mother is only going to make him feel the same when he gets home.
I just wanna give him a big hug & tell him it'll all be ok.

I think the fridge is ok. It wasn't making any noise at all, but I've never paid much attention to it. Anth seems to think its fine now though. So I'll just take his word for it. Everythings still cold.

Jesse is loving vegemite sandwiches & has worked them out, but gets really huge bites of other things & gags on them alot. I'm slowly introducing banana - its too slippery for him to hold yet - & other things, but I'm giving him a bit of mashed vegies at tea & fruit for brekky with a spoon til he gets the hang of it.

Anyway. Better get down to the bus stop before I miss it!
