Welcome home Prama! Must have been freeing for you - what a shock from the weather you would have been having.

Humm not going to do to many personals as i dont know how long MJ will be quiet for lol

Started solids Friday evening the baby led way -
Jo i understand why you couldnt... its messy as, but i love it, i wll post some pics when i get round to it.
    So far she has eaten
Floret of Broccoli (she actualy has had quet a few, she loves them)
    stick of cheese
    Rock melon
    Stawberry
scrambled egg (not too impressed with that)
    Vegemite on toast
some of the filling of my homemade chicken pie
    pumpkin
    golden kewi fruit
    weetbix

She loves the veggies the most, followed by the cheese and the fruit it is very very messy and although she wears most of it, she must be getting a bit in as its coming out the other end. (like loads and loads!!!)

Those that have had constipated babies, do you give them farex? apparently this is likely to bind them up as it has added iron... Yeah J looked funny 'pushing' out her first food poo!!!

was going to say heaps more, but forgotten, havent slept much, DSS wet the bed (again) last night and woke me up stripping his bed... its starting to get to me again, trying hard to just not say anything tohim about it, but i could do without the extra washing

Skye sorry to hear about the washing mach... hope the fridge is OK... If its not, maybe you could discrbe the problem and i could get DH to tell me what is wrong with it etc

Teach - thinking of going to Perth for the Redbull air race... south Perth, can you recommend anywhere to stay or surrounding suburbs to look - i thinking apartment style due to MJ... thanks

will come back and write more when i reemeber, soory
    Hope everyone else is well

Hi SJ. Your poor DSS. How old is he again? I know people who wet the bed right up til they were 18 coz of their home lives.
My old boss took in her DSD coz the poor kids mum left her on the side of the road & rang them up & told them to go get her. She was only 9 then. She wet the bed til she was about 12. They tried an alarm thing & everything else they could think of. She used to heve to get up & wash her hair everymorning it was that bad.
It comes down to the child feeling secure I think. I know its hard though. Jaz still does it occasionally. Usually every 2 - 3 months. She is getting longer between though. I get the sh*ts with her too. Its hard not too.
Maybe if you & DH just reassure him more than usual that you both love him & make him feel more secure it will settle down. I know its hard when his mother is only going to make him feel the same when he gets home.
I just wanna give him a big hug & tell him it'll all be ok.

I think the fridge is ok. It wasn't making any noise at all, but I've never paid much attention to it. Anth seems to think its fine now though. So I'll just take his word for it. Everythings still cold.

Jesse is loving vegemite sandwiches & has worked them out, but gets really huge bites of other things & gags on them alot. I'm slowly introducing banana - its too slippery for him to hold yet - & other things, but I'm giving him a bit of mashed vegies at tea & fruit for brekky with a spoon til he gets the hang of it.

Anyway. Better get down to the bus stop before I miss it!

I made some home made babyfood tonight. Carrot, sweet corn, cauliflower & a few peas all blended with the barmix. I really want a food processor, I think it would be easier to use one of those instead of a barmix.

Jazz was really grissly at day care today. Over the weekend and again today she decided that if an adult wasn't giving her 100% attention she would scream. She wasn't interested in the other kids like she normally is. She just wanted the FDC lady to be with her constantly. I hope this doesn't continue. She's usually fine around all the kids.

I wonder is she is going through another wonderweek. She gets really grissly and sleeps less during the day when that happens.

She's really trying to sit up but definately can't sit unsupported. I have to keep my hands near her back to catch her.

Bron - forgot to say, i ended up getting some pawpaw ointment (im sure it was you that told me to get it ages ago) and it has been MJ saviour this last 2 weeks.
She is teething bad, has an awful dribble rash and she is contantly rubbing her jaw and ears so making the rash worse... i lather her in it about 4 times a day - the only time she looks good is the morning thou.
    Poor thing.

    Trina how are the girls?
Danni - the best thing about the way im doing food with MJ is that there is no mushing or pureeing at all - HOWEVER a friend of mine got something from Mouneax (or something like that) that u put the food in a you just push and turn it and it puree's the food for you. I will see if i ca find some info on it of you like.

MJ had hommus (homemade) on toast and broccoli trees for dinner - she LOVED the hommus (like her mummy) i wonder if she will have garlic breath in the morning

PMSL SJ nothing like bubba garlic breath. I gave summer some cheese and tomato today and a bit of bread, gosh it was everywhere so messy she loved it though.

Danni i have a little processor thingy like what SJ is talking about like a magic bullet that is advertised on tv but i just got it from big w months ago it is the best gadget/appliance i have ever bought, i love it!!!! It juices, blends, purees crushes ice, chops. I steamed veges put a little of the steam water in and 5 seconds and its done, it comes with lids so you can store whatever you have chopped/pureed straight in the container you chopped it in. Comes with ****tail jugs with coloured rings so you can tell which is yours not much of a drinker these days but may come in handy one day
    SORRY FOR THE INFOMERCIAL........

All children sick in my house poor codie isn't well so going to see how she is in the morning, she wants to go away if she is sick but im not sure

Im off to bed sooooo tired

SJ i fed Summer veges with pureed chickpeas

I just mashed Jesse's vegies with a potato masher last night.
    Pumpkin, potato & broccoli.
I tried to give him a bit tonight, but he wasn't interested. I think he was still full from the bottle anth gave him earlier when I went to do some washing.
I did give him some pear, but he gouldn't get hold of it again. i'll have to cut it better next time.

Danni - I heard that too. Got my Huggies though. Its hard to do all that extra washing with no wash/mach.

    Hi all.
Jesse woke at 5.30. I dunno why but he winged til 7 when I gave up on getting some more sleep.
The music from last night started again at 7 this morning. Only for 10 minutes or so though.
I thought about ringing the police. I found out to day that half the town wanted to!!

Went down for dancing after school & they had to cancel coz someone stole their cd player & all their cds. B*stards!

Then went up to check out that thing to see what it was all about. It was Vibe Alive. It was actually pretty good. FREEZING though!
& guess what. Jaz got to meet Casey Donovan! She had about 30 CDs to sign & sell, but some bloke got in first & bought 24 straight up! By the time it was Jaz's turn there were none left. She was really upset, so Casey said she'd get our address & send us one as soon as she gets back to Sydney. Jaz agreed & Casey opened the front pocket of her bag to get some paoer for our address & there was 1 cd in there!! Jaz was so happy.
I forgot to ask for a pic after all that, so I'm gonna duck up in the morning & see if I can get one.
    So exciting!
Anyways. Off to the paed & to get my washing machine tomorrow!!
    Night!

I ended up taking Tahnie to the Dr yesterday and would you believe it I got that Di@#head Dr again I didn't realise he was there until his door opened and guess what he was a pr*ck again, i said i know it is viral and that there is no treatment but she has had high temp for three days so wanted her throat and ears checked (paige is prone to tonsillitis) and of course she had no temp cos i gave her panadol before we left..... Anyway he made me feel like a complete idiot that wasted his time for coming there and told me that it astonishes him how people come in complaining of being sick for 3 weeks it is completely normal. NORMAL MY A$$ i have never had a child have high temp for over 3 days that wont go down unless they had throat or ear infection. I got the practice manager's name and when i left i called back and complained about him and said i never want to see him again. I have had him the last 3 times and just after summer was born i had to go get her checked cos i left hossy early and no Dr could come and he was throwing things around the room saying this isn't my responsibility this is my retirement job! *Sorry rant over*

Was going to write more but cranky bum is calling
