DJ has a throat infection and not a happy camper I had a bad night with him last night and looks like another bad night. arghhhhh The doctor was trying to check his ears and he kept following the light and turning his head it was so cute and he tried to eat the stefescope (excuse spelling) sooo cute.... Hasn't been that happy, mind you if Doni gives him his laptop it takes his mind off it. The doctor gave him some antibiotics for the throat infection and using nurofen for babies which got rid of his fever thank god. Hope his throat clears up soon for him. Must have been why he was so unsettled last night as well. He was very hungry though, so wondering if he is also going through a growth spurt. I got him weighed at the doctors and he is now 8.25kg so getting big, he has a little budda belly kehehee
I feel so down in the dumps tonight, feel like crying. I think it is all just because my periods are due any day now so getting the pre-period mood swings....arghhhhh maybe DJ being sick is making me sad because I don't like him being sick.
I am going to work from home tomorrow so that way DJ can just stay home with me. I will call daycare and let them know. I took my laptop home just in case so lucky that.
Bron - that is such great news, and something you needed can't wait to see the pic.
Skye - at least now the doctor is doing something about it so you should get some relief. Have fun packing and try not to overdo it especially with your pelvis....
Danni - so glad to hear Jazz is feeling better
SJ - love the new pic of SJ - sooooooo cute.
Prama - thanks for the well wishes no we went out for dinner which is a normally nice menu but they changed it that day so it wasn't as nice as it normally is.... doh!!! Know what you mean about the distraction, DJ is like that especially if the TV is on or Doni or I are walking around.
Oh I hope the plans for Hobart go ahead, that would be so nice for you. Doni is away all next week from Monday to the following Monday, not sure how I am going to cope, 1 full weekend as well....arghh and he is sick. Hopefully the antibiotics will work quickly and he is 100% so I can have a good week with him.
How is your headache? Feeling any better?
Thanks Trina. He is doing pretty well today considering..... Smiling and laughing, so hopefully that means he is getting better...... Still coughing alot probably coz his throat is sore. Poor little bubba.
Jazz thought it would be a good idea to wake up at 5am, we were not happy especially coz I had to get up at 7am for work.
We knew that if we changed & fed her then that she would think it was wake up time and time to play so we didn't want to do that. We gave her teething gel and nurophen, she was still very tired. Lots of cuddles and then just she wasn't crying hysterically so I just let her get herself to sleep. Went in when I woke up and she was sound asleep on her tummy. Normally she sleeps on her side. I remember being so scared of her sleeping on anything but her back until my mum assured me that when she is able to roll into a position she wants to be in, she will be able to roll out of it as well so I shouldn't worry.
Danni - the only way Jesse will settle now is on his tummy. I had him like that the last time he was sick & now he won't sleep any other way. If he's on his back he falls asleep with his legs in the air, then as he relaxes they go down & wake him up!
When he's on his back or side he will just grizzle til I put him on his belly, so I just do it now.
Whats the difference betwwen nuerophen and panadol for kids? i saw in a previous post Danni where you had given jazz both. Do you have to wait the 4 hours in between giving either like you woudl two doses of say panadol. I have never used neurophen as an adult becasue its not good for plattlets. Is it better than panadol for releving pain? Anybody else use it or both?
Nurofen is aspirin. Panadol is paracetomol.
I think Nurofen is also an anti inflammitory??
You can over lap them, so you give panadol, then 2 - 3 hours later you can give nurofen.
That way you can keep them reasonably happy all day!
Trina - I can't believe how Summer is trying to walk already. You are going to have your hands even fuller!
Bron - When I saw the ads for Bathurst I remember you mentioning all of the morons last year! Just lock yourself in the house for the weekend with some good DVD's! Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the health care system, you would think that by now they would know you and treat you asap.
Skye - Jesse sounds like he is going really well.
Shell - sorry to hear that DJ is not well. Hopefully he will get over it quickly and not feel too bad for too long.
Danni - Jazz will catch up in her size. All of the bubs in mothers group (including the one born in March) are all bigger than Caitlin but she has just gone through a big growth spurt and is a lot closer to them in size now.
Prama - hopefully they can get you a room in Hobart at least that way Steve will be able to help you out in the evenings.
Well I learnt something didn't know I could give him panadol and nurofen. Hmmmm will get some panadol. I find nurofen works quickly if you get the concentrated formula especially if they are in any pain. Thanks for the tip Skye
DJ is doing much better - smiling and laughing again So happy, just has a stubborn cough and gets a blocked up nose in the morning. Antibiotics are definitely helping him that is for sure.
My mum said she will be fine looking after him tonight so we can go away for the night. She said she is looking forward to giving him lots of cuddles to make him better. So swet I kind of need the night away especially with Doni away for 7 whole days eeeek that is the longest he has been away so far since DJ was born. Don't know how I will cope.
Well better go got lots to do before we head out later.
Ah thanks for the info re drugs. I try not to give WIll any if I can help it but do use panadol if relaly desperate. I think I will stear away from the neurophen becasue I cant have asprin and dont want to chance triggering anything in Will re plattletes etc.
JO so nice to see you here reg again and to hear how" the first born" is doing *L*
It is bogan city here and full of door knockers too can you beleive. I most certainly will be at home watching tv or maybe doing my shopping whilst body is at the mount. The corporate tent for Carlton is no more so no free tickets, drinks or food so no real reason to go really *L* YOu realley do get a much better view on the tv and besides if the wind blows right I can hear the cars see the planes anyway. I'd say thye will get a wet bum tommorow its cold here and we had a hell of a thunderstorm yesterday.
Ill has been pretty whingey but still no teeth. We weighed him when I went into the docs on Wed and he is 8.5 kilos. I knwo he supposed ot be abit bigger but I have to turn the seat around this weekend as his poor little feet are getting squashed up against the seat and when I turn it they drag along. I cant beleive how big he is getting its liek he has changed again completley the past week.
SHell hope you enjoy your night away..get doni to give you a nice masage..of course you might need to recipricate but..:-) well enjoy
prama how you doing today??? I do hope you get to hobart
Danii changing the cot height is on our job list too. Scary huh that they need this already..where have our little bubbas gone.
Skye nothing worse than scary neighbours you end up on edge all the time..I am envious of your sea change hun I hope it all goes well//the water the beach and a change of envirnment might be just what you all need.
Trina are the girls back? I cant beleive how busy your little summer is you must have amazing stamina girl!! How are the horses going you getting lots of riding in?
Anyway got to go my bou is awake for brekky.
Have good weekend girls
Bron xx
Hehe. I've done some more packing this morning.
Getting pretty excited. Haven't told the girls for sure yet. They'll be home soon.
Went & spoke to DoCS yesterday. They are going to help me out. They'll help with getting up there, but they are also going to help me up there.
They are going to contact the nearest DoCS office there & try to get me into a program thingy where they come to my house & we just do things with the kids & stuff. They are going to see about a councillor up there for me & just basically make sure me & the kids are alot happier.
Oh, & hopefully they'll help me get a house too.
So I'm feeling really good atm.
I also told my case worker about next door......she has offered to go to the police for us about the bike if we want her to. That way its not us, its her doing it. Anth reckons we should leave it though. He wants to get it back & thinks if its reported it won't come back.
When we are gone, he's planning on putting it on them. Try to scare them into giving it back kinda thing.
With our experience with the police, they are useless when it comes to that sort of stuff. Our video camera got stolen out of our house a few years ago. We knew who did it. Called the cops.
They went & visited him, nothing. They didn't do any finger printing or anything. So Anth wants to deal with it himself. I think he's silly, but I won't be here, so he can do what he likes.
Anyway!
I best be off. The girls should be here in about half an hour!!

Well...there's a house for rent. It's one I've been in & always liked. It is 3brm with a flat yard for the kids swings & tramp. & we can have the dog there.
But.........its for sale. There is only a 6 month lease available. There is a chance of an investor buying it.
Hmmm......When I use my brain, I'm better off doing what I wanted to do in the first place. Going to stay with mum & dad & save a bit of money first. But then......I don't really wanna miss out in case an investor does buy it.
It is hard to get a house with a flat yard where I'll be able to have my dog. & its only a 5 minute walk to the beach & bowling club. 10 minutes to the shops.
Bron i have only one horse now and am riding 4-6 times a week the kids swim in the pool there so it's great they actually love going there so we all win... except summy she hates it.. Bron i think they can face forward from 8kg's i have had summy forward facing for a few months now, she was 8.25kgs when i turned her, she HATED facing back and would scream the whole time she loves it forward.
Skye not sure babe, if you go with parents you will save heaps but will it be annoying after a while and what if the other house sells in 6 months and you have to move again that would suck cos 6 months goes fast....
Yep Jo have my hands full already, an hour ago i couldn't find her and she was in the girls room and did a poo on their carpet i should have rubbed her nose in it hehe enjoy it while they are still.
Summer flaps her arm and sais bye bye now it is so cute...... I uploaded some pics of her i took them a few days ago.
OMG Trina!
Gorgeous pics. Summer is unreal! all ****y standing with one hand & all.
I didn't get an email from you. Or did I miss it. The belly band thing would be good if you don't need it.
sorry i havent posted in a while... havent been feeling so good...
poopy and i arent going to hobart.there's no service apt available and he had to get a hotel.
i dunno how im going to cope looking after poopy by myself. it's too hard now that we are on solids....
steve leaves tomorrow and back next sunday. at least if i was working and he was in day care i'd have a bit of a break. but 24/7 is going to be hard...
i so wish i had my family here.. steve's mum is great but she's not well and i dont like to impose on her.. i want my mummy..
skye - docs sounds so good!!! it's a hard decision on the house... glad the move is happening.. what dodgy neighbours!! and in small town too, gee do they think you wouldnt notice!!
bron - bloody health system.. AAAARGGGGGGG
MCHN said that poopy can be on 3-4 milk feeds now.. 1 after breakfast, 1 after lunch and 1 after dinner. so between lunch and dinner ( he has lunch about 11ish 12 and dinner 5ish 6), she said instead of milk, introduce some snacks and water as he's almost 8mths now. i still give him a bf when he wakes up early in the morning.
shell - glad dj is better, hoping you are having a good evening. looks like we are both husbandless for the week...
im going to call it quits tonight and get into bed. im so sad without steve...
i didnt have a good last few days..
on thurs, i thot i had lost my camera, didnt really care abt the camera itself but all my baby's pictures were there and i could have died. i really got in a bad way, finally found and was so spent. since then i feel ive gone a bit downhill and like my oldself, before the ADs. i hope in a few days i will get back to normal.
Bloody races th eone day of the week I get to lay in and I get a fly by right over my bedroom that made the windows rattle and then the sound of engines. And I am 10 k's form the track *L*
