Tonight Jazz said something that sounded a heck of a lot like dada. It was slightly more of a dawadawadawa but that's close enough I think to say that was the first time she said dada...and she was saying it more when Matt was in the room.
Well MJ is crawling for real now!!!
i actually got quite excited, but sad at the same time, my baby is not really a baby anymore
This weekend is going to be spent baby proofing!!!
Prama, sometimes babies dont get past the commndo crawl as there is no need, they are mobile, can get to where they want to and from there just go onto standing and walking (watch out ) soounds a bit of a worry with all the pulling up on light furniture, at least there are a few more eyes watchin him there thou.
Long weekend here, we were meant to go away, but DH has to work i just selfishly want some time out with him and MJ... oh well.
at least we have 4 morning where he doesnt have to rush to work, although he is there now.
Hi all.
Well our fridge, bed, lounges & a few other things are gone. Not much to sort now & we will be left with what we are taking.
I'm excited when I've got 5 minutes to sit around & think about it.
Jesse's started saying Dad too. He's having a go at Nan as well. I wish the little bugger would stop pinching me! The whole time he feeds he pinches my boob & the back of my arm. I try to keep a singlet or something over my side or he pinches that as well.
He's just started pulling himself up on things more.
He's learnt that Taa & Yucky mean to drop or spit out what ever he's got. Makes life a bit easier with all the hidden mess coming out of the wood works!!
Good luck tonight Bron. Have fun.
Cute pics Danni.
Hope you are enjoying yourself Prama. Sounds like Poopy's keeping you busy!
Pitty about the ruined weekend SJ. Don't you hate it when work stuffs up your plans.
Congrats on the crawling!
Jesse attempts it for a step or 2, but goes back to the frog coz its faster!! He goes down steps & all now, cheeky devil!
Hope everything is ok with Codie today Trina.
Hope everythings well with you & DJ, Shell.

Had a busy couple of weeks, just caught up on all of the posts!
Re the Sleeping thing, I have the book save our sleep, a number of friends recommended it to us so we decided to try the theory this weekend as it is a long weekend and we can sleep during the day if the night are rough! So far it hasn't been too bad! Last night she went to bed at 7pm as the plan says (I also followed the feed and sleep routines during the day) and she woke at 7.45pm and we followed the plan for her age and it took 2 hours for her to go back to sleep but she stayed in her cot and just lay there until she was ready to sleep. We had to wake her this morning to stick to the plan but for all of her sleeps today, she fell asleep on schedule except tonight she woke after at 8.20pm but this time it only took 40 minutes for her to go back to sleep and again she just lay quietly in her cot. So I hope I don't mozz it but it seems to be working. We don't do a dream feed as she doesn't need it but on this plan she should sleep for 12 hours overnight and 15 hours in a 24 hour period, it used to be rare to get her to sleep for 12 hours in a 24 hour period!
I am wondering if I haven't been feeding her enough solids because the plan tells you to feed her 2 courses each solids feed which I am now doing and she eats the lot - she always seemed full after 1 - 1.5 courses! Fingers crossed that it goes well for the rest of the weekend. The good thing also is that you don't have to get stuck at home when a sleep is due. Today I went out when her sleep was due and she slept while I was out and transferred out of the car without waking!
Re teeth - Caitlin got her 2 middle bottom teeth a day apart 2 weeks ago. They still are only sticking through about 1mm above the gum but at least they have broken through and she is not miserable anymore. The 2 nights they were coming through were hell!
Bron - hope the reunion goes well and you have a great time. My 20 year reunion is due next year - haven't heard if they are doing anything though.
SJ - Congrats to MJ on crawling. We are not there yet, she is trying hard but hasn't worked out the whole moving the hands thing yet! Goes backwards though she she manages to get to the things she is not supposed to be touching!
Danni - Caitlin says Dadda all of the time and the other day she said Bubba & Hello but she refused to say Mumma! Little ratbag! It is good to hear when they say a new word isn't it.
Prama - Hope the trip is going well - enjoy. I am sure you are making the most of it!
Skye - Hope all is going well with the move and happy anniversary for this week! (in case I don't get back on for a week or so!)
Well that's enough of my essay - have a great weekend all - Jo.
Jazz is having another sleep over at grumpy & gran's next weekend and we are going away! I so cant wait. It's a weekend away with a whole group of photographers from another forum I go to. Should get heaps of great photos! I have not done any creative photography since before Jazz was born so I'm looking foward to getting back to it!
