Oh Skye. Hope he'll be ok, and you too. Look after yourself hun.

Jazz is really getting quite mobile now and crawling forwards with much more coordination...still quite uncoordinated, but getting better and further...trying to chase the kitten.
I sat down and had a good look at what happens at day care (from the book the FDC lady writes in) and I've discovered a routine which I've written down to try and stick closely to on weekends. I have written it all down for Matt and pre measured the formula for the day and gotten out her jars of food. I hope he sticks to the routine as well, he's bad at that.

We've not been doing too well. His depression is really bad and when he's having a downer (which seems to be happening a lot more frequently) I cop a lot of verbal abuse and it's getting harder to take. I've taken the step of seeking out councelling (free councelling). Am on a 4-6 week waiting list for that. I hope it helps. I'm going to try everything to save this marriage. But in the end, once I've tried everything if it's not working then it's not working. I'm not ready to give up yet though.

OMG Skye - big hugs!!!! I hope Jesse is ok.... Do they know what is wrong?

I had the worst night with DJ - damn teething...... grrrrr why can't they be born with teeth grrrrrr He was up every 10, 20, 30 mins last night...... Doni didn't go for a bike ride this morning so he took over so I could get some sleep. I swapped my days around this week for work, so it is my day off but I still have to go in to get something done which means I have to take DJ with me. Just waiting for him to have a sleep and then I will leave. He was just sooooo unsettled. I tried everything - panadol, bonjela, Brauers Calm and none of it worked - well they did for a little while but then he was whingy again. I also have something else called Hylands, I will give that a go again.... I just don't want to give him panadol all of the time. Getting some nurofen today because it works far more quicker than panadol. Arghhhh I am just soooo tired. I wish i didn't have to go into work but need to get something done. I am hoping he will be behaved and just play but who knows with his teething, he is fine one minute and then upset the next..... Another thing that is happening is he is wheezing.... well I think it is wheezing, very worried about it.... but Doni thinks it is just him and the different senstations etc..... he is not eating much of his solids or milk.... damn teething!!!!!! Does it get easier???

The exciting news is that DJ wants to walk..... If he is standing up and I am holding him he is taking steps very exciting and scary at the same time. He crawls everywhere now and stands himself up and walks along the lounge (little steps). I walked by the time I was 10 months so looks like he is following in my steps.

I picked up DJ's portfolio from daycare and it is sooooo cute, has all of his paintings and pictures during his time there. Lots of little stories including one where he ate playdough hahah

Danni - sorry to hear things aren't well with Matt..... don't give up yet, hopefully the counselling will help. Have you tried St Johns Wart?? anything natural?

SJ - how is MJ doing, that sounds like teething to me..... any come through?

Prama -hope you are having fun in Brisvegas, it is cold down here in Sydneytown.

Hope everyone else is well, I have to get organsied to head into work.
Wish me luck, I am bringing toys that aren't so noisy. Thinking I will work from a quiet room to get stuff done and at least I can close the door and keep him contained....otherwise he will be crawling all over the place.

    Hi guys. We're home. Finally.
He was discharged at about 10 this morning. 15 minutes down the road we had to take him back coz a rash started on his feet, then his legs, hands & belly. Hopefully it's just part of a viral infection, but I have to keep a close eye on him JIC.
    They still aren't 100% what's up though.

We aren't going to Sydney for Christmas now. We were going to see Anth's pop,but they are going to have a big birthday for him in around March instead.

    Anyway. I need some sleep.
I'll come back & read up & catch up tomorrow.
    Night.

skye - how's jesse now.. poor little bubba... hope he's got his appetite back, and you are getting some rest.
maybe we'll see you in syd in march

a quick one, still tired fr our trip to brissy.
it was nice but hot and humid and i stayed in our apartment mostly, it was a bit of a walk to the train station and it was hard getting the pram in and out. so only went out one day when i met up w a couple of bb girls. it was tiring in the apartment too, as we didnt have a playpen and poopy was getting into everything, pulling himself up onto the toilet, bin, and then climbed over the cushions, onto the side table in the lounge room, and just up on step on the staircase going to our apartment. boy was i exhausted looking after him!! and he laughs at me or has crocodile tears when i tell him NO!. sigh...
and friday i spent w steve's aunt which was nice.
and there's a pool there so after steve got home fr work, we'd have a swim..

but im glad to be back home.
poopy's doing well, crawling everywhere on all fours, sitting by himself, cruising w one hand and starting to let go and then falling onto his bum. he's been throwing stuff from the cot/high chair and see them fall. he's also holding on to things in both hands and forgetting he's got stuff and trying grab more things!
he's also chattier, saying ammeh (amma = mum) and mum-mum(food).. often together.. i think he thinks im his food provider, ahahaah. im glad he can say mum-mum when he's hungry now.. makes it a bit easier. he also says appa (dad), and a few other words.

anyway, ive had a bad week.. i heard from work.. well i contacted them.. and they said ill have to come back 5 days, i wanted to do 3 days a week. so i dunno what to do... not the best of times to find a new job, and i dont want to be away fr poopy so many days. work cant/dont want to hire new staff, tehre's a freeze cos of the economic crisis and so they cant have someone cover my other days. and im annoyed cos htey should have told me this before... i dunno if i can get day care for the other days...

    sorry it's all abt me.....

Prama. Its ok, get it all out!
Sounds like Poopy's loads of fun!

Jesse started saying mum the other day. He doesn't know its me he's saying it to, but when he says is I'll say 'what!' or 'Jesse', so then he'll yell it out louder for my attention.
He started saying it in hospital. Made me wanna cry coz they were fixing his drip when he was first saying it. He was crying & screaming, then he turned to me & said mum. Poor bubba just wanted me to take him away from it all.

He slept with me while we were in there. In the crappy little sofa bed chair thing.
The nurses suprised me a bit. I was fed for free coz I'm BFing, & they had no problems with me co sleeping at all! They actually tried to encourage another mother to do it with her new born. (Baby born only 2 weeks early, weighed 1700 grms!)
& When we were first admitted they basically asked ME if he was ok. Not what the tests & charts said, but what I said.

have to go. Time for boo boo & mumma's bed.
Jesse & Bri are both blocked up & getting the flu now. Yay.

Sorry guys. I do gotta go.

Jazz is starting to get clinggy. When she's on the floor playing and I leave the room she'll try to follow me and then chuck a big tanty! She's crawling much better now though, and climbing up on everything and bumping into everything, falling over more and hitting her head so of course we have the tears.
We were at a friends house for dinner last night and I put her on the floor while we ate. They had 2 steps that go up from the lounge to the dining room and she kept trying to get up the stairs.
In the afternoon yesterday we were at my second cousin's 10th birthday party. Mum (gran) and dad (grumpy) were there. She was fine with them, and my cousin (the mother of the girl whose birthday it was) and fine with my aunties. But when she wasn't with any of them she would crawl straight to me when I was kneeling on the floor and would pull herself up on me to give me a cuddle. She's really starting to show affection which is nice.

    morming girls,

Sounds like everyone is have a bad time at the moment.
Danni - the verbal abuse can be awful cant it, it is so soul destroying and you feel like you can neer do anything right i know how it can be... sorry that it is bad for you atm... hopefully you can get into see someone soon, but sounds like Matt needs to be talking to someone too (if he isnt already)
Do you think that he is still enjoying being a SAHD or maybe the fact that you are the breadwinner could be getting him down too? dunno, just a thought, a friend in a similar situation to you went through something similar and by her DH getting some perm part time work it helped a lot... dont know if that s anything that would help you guys...

Skye, glad you are back home, poor litttle Jesse, hope he is doing better today

Shell - any toothypegs? Neurofen works better for MJ overnight if she wakes, its an anti inflam, so targets the gum area better than panadol. Did you get any work done?

Prama - im hearing you on the work situation, i have to go back (finacially) but would love not too. we are in the proess of negotiating my hours...
glad you had a good time in brissy, would have been great to go swimming with poopy souns like her is really going great guns, his crawling is great... mj loves watching her dropped toys, its such a game for them atm isnt it! and yeah the crociodile tears happen here when i move her away form something and say no!
MJ says mum mum when she is hungry too and smaks her lips if she wants a BF - sooo cute!

hum, work chrissy party ast night, took MJ, she was great but so tired at the end, we left before dessert (how come i always miss dessert!). Everyone had a play and a cddle and she didnt cry once in 5 hours!
Got a parking ticket though, so it was an expensive night out.

TRINA - how are you??? havent heard from you in a while - hope you ae OK
    Anyway gotta go

sj - sux when you have to go back to work, doesn't it. i was looking fwd to just 3 days a week but now... we need the money so i have to go back to work.
lol - sounds like they all are getting very cheeky.. yup, he smacks his lips and swallows his saliva when he sees his food. and if he sees his bowl and put it in the microwave, he cries cos he thinks it's gone!
great that you heard back from the pool. did you manage to talk to them abt their promises?

skye - hope the girls arent getting sick as well.. it's hard on you but great that mum's close by.
danni - hope thngs get better w matt.. depression affects everyone directly and indirectly.. it was starting to get to steve too when i was down.
jazz sure knows who her mummy is and where she'll get all the love and cuddles!!

shell - hope dj is feeling better.. and hope the rest of his teeth follow soon so you and him both dont have to go thru a rough time.

bron - how are you feeling now?

trina yes, how are you doing, darling... has your mum moved already? xoxoxo

I think Jazz is cutting another tooth. Last night she was so irritable and screaming and it took me ages to get her to sleep. I tried to put my finger in her mouth to feel her gums but when I did that she screamed even louder! She wouldn't take her bottle this morning so when I dropped her off at daycare I told the lady that she hadn't had anything since 3am. So I hope the tooth comes through quickly so she can get back to normal. She's just had the 2 teeth since 6 months so we've had a relatively easy time for the past 3 months but now the teething monster is back.

I got one of her christmas presents yesterday. Its this talking handbag thing with things that you put inside. It's educational. Teaches about opposites, greetings, counting etc. I was going to get her a push along lion thing for walking which converts to a ride on for older babies but I had Jazz in the pram and it was big so I didn't really have any way to carry it. If I had her in the trolley then it would have been fine. Matt said that we'll get her a few more things though. Have to get her something "from father christmas"
The funny thing is that I wrapped up her present and Matt's while they were both out and I put them under the tree. One of the first things she noticed when they got home was that there was something new under the tree and she was trying to get to it!

    Hey girls,

All good here. DJ is good, very active that is for sure and very cheeky. He so loves the camera now, always puts on a smile when he sees one cheeky little thing.... I got a few little things for him to wear on christmas day, going to put them in his xmas stocking kehehee Also got him some Wiggles (pre-walker shoes) they are soooo cute and shorts and summer tank top. Just have to take his christmas layby out this week so I can get his christmas presents wrapped up. We had lunch with the mothers group today and almost all babies are now mobile and crawling around. We are all looking into playgroups now, so thinking of starting in one early next year. I am also putting DJ into some really good swimming lessons in February I can't believe it is christmas next week, time flies that is for sure.

Danni - ah yes the teething monster, I refer to it as grrrrrr DJ still having issues with his first tooth coming through, it is only 1/4 the way through but it bothers him so much when he is asleep. Wakes at several times during the night.

Trina - yes i am having the same problem and put it down to teething since he just cut his first one. Someone told me when they about to reach a development milestone they will wake and cry several times at night so not sure if that is it..... Sometimes you just don't know. I think maybe another growth spurt, teething, development milestone. Who knows..... haha I just want a proper night sleep but that ain't going to happen for a while.

Prama - sorry to hear what you heard back from work, I plan on increasing my days from 3 to 4 starting from March. I want the extra money so we can save it up for a holiday next year. I enjoy being back at work anyway so that is good. When do they want you to start back at work??? Great news about your holiday sounds fantastic!!

SJ - what a toothpegs? OR do you mean teething rusks?? haven't heard of toothpegs. We gave him a chicken drumstick the other night (without the meat of course) and he loved it, really good on his gums. My aunty gave me that solution Sounds like you had fun at christmas party but what a bummer on the ticket doh!!! Not a great time of year to get it either.... Damn parking inspectors.

Skye - hope Jesse is doing better, how is his rash going? DJ had a viral skin rash a few months ago and it was all over his body except his face.... There are 5 different viral skin rashes apparently, well the doctor gave me an info sheet on them a while back.

Well girls, I better go, hope you all have a great week. I have changed my working days so working Tues, Wed and Thursday.... On Friday and today I had to go in for 1.5 hours so on Wednesday I am leaving at 3pm kehehe

    Take care

trina - sorry to hear abt xd.. i hope he at least does something with his babies for christmas...

shell - dj is so cute, hehe.
i start first week of feb, but im really not happy abt doing 5 days. i was really looking fwd to doing 3 days, i want to spend time w my baby, and not want him to be w day care all 5 days. it's going to be so hard, being away from him 5 days. i feel so guilty, i feel like im a bad mother for putting him in day care for 5 days.. but i havent got a choice....
i wish my mum was here, at least she can help look after him and he will have 'home' time even tho im working compared to daycare...

Trina - maybe she is about to walk!!! **** Sorry to hear about you ex... we have BIG problems here https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ug-addict.html here is a link if you want to read...

Seriously i dont know why things just cant go well for a while... i am so sad over this, and angry and numb. I just want the whole lot to go away. Sometimes i wish that DSS was not part of our lives (god thats awful) as i am just so sick of dealing with her contuinual cr#p... it just goes on and on and on and i am over it

sorry all about me, but really the only time it is about me is when i am in here and i am feeling like i am going to explode from saddness and exhaustion... to top it off DH has been working stupid hours again and i am lucky to see him for an hour... MJ is missing him and yeah... sob I am over it

Well, Jazz is getting around the house quite well now. We need to get some gates. We joked about getting a portacot and putting her in that until she turns 18! She keeps heading for the kitty litter though.

I was holding her hands while she was standing up and we were slowly walking together, she thought that was great!
