Wow, Will's walking already? I can't believe that in just 2 months our babies will be classed as toddlers!

We just got the next size of nappies for Jazz today.

Not quite but I say all but as he lets go of the furniture and moves his feet a few steps by himself. He also tears across the floor with his block trolley and goes really fast. He has great upper body balance.He is keeping us incredibley busy to say the least. I know what you mean about the toddler thing scary huh and they will celebrate their first birthdays which is pretty mad.

Hi girls,
Sorry so long since my last post - Christmas was here before I knew it and things got hectic!
I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and has a lovely (relaxing) New Years Eve planned (we just got back from having Indian).
All's great this end - Gracie is standing - cruising around holding on to everything. Still fussy with food. Probiotics that we started were life-changing.
Look forward to talking to you all again soon. Hope all of the little ones enjoyed their very first Christmas!

Just a quick one for me I am still around we just went away for a week so haven't been online.

News from me...... DJ is getting another tooth, yesterday he was just screaming all day - constipated from teething and he has never screamed/cried like that before so I took him to the doctors because I thought it was serious, but turns out he was just constipated hahahaha overprotective aren't I? But other than that he is good. Weighed him at chemist yesterday and he is now 9.5kg!!! He is getting so big now, and soooo heavy to carry...... Tries to walk alot more when we hold him, so won't be long now before he lets go, he is getting stronger on his legs. He got totally spoilt on christmas day. Has soooo many toys now, I need to go through them all and sort them through and put away his newborn toys. Hope you all had a great christmas as well. We had a lovely first christmas with DJ

Hi guys!
Happy New Year!
Signed the lease yesterday. Finally have a house now. Its so good. Empty, but good!
Jaz come a gutsa off her scooter today. We went for our walk up the hill that we usually do every night & Jaz wanted to take her scooter. I did say no coz I was worried she'd try ridin it down the hill, but she insisted she wouldn't, so I let her go. Still in her swimmers - no pants & no helmet coz I figured she'd walk it most of the way.
Anyways, we were on our way back home & Anth & I were talking about the tether on the new stroller & looking at it, then Anth looked up & said ****, she's cruising.
I looked up to find Jaz on her scooter riding it down.
Then the death wobbles hit, I yelled at Anth to get her, but all we could really do was watch as she came off face first into the road.
Anth bolted down to her, I followed as fast as I could with Bri & the stroller in front expecting the worst... She got a scrape above & below her eye, only small, a cut on her nose, sore hand & a graze & cut on her knee.
When Anth was running down he lost his thongs & when he went back to get them another couple asked if she was ok. Turns out that the bloke was actually a gp, so even though he usually keeps it quiet on holidays he told us & checked her over, just to make sure nothing was broken. Talk about timing! It was really generous of him.

Anyways, that was our start to the new year. Gee I hope it gets better!
Off to Coonamble tomorrow to take Anth back. Then I get to come home & try to work this house out! Lucky me...

I hope everyone elses start to the year was better than mine.

Bron Yay on the normal blood count WOO HOO Its been such a long haul for you so good on you sweety.

SJ Hows things going with DSS? Hope its all settled down a bit not that it will ever be good with the crazy woman. Thanks for the chrissy card and sorry for being a slacker and not sending anyone a card i kinda wasn't in the spirit this year and pretty much just wanted it to float by.

Hey to everyone else

the girls had a great chrissy they got ipods and portable dvd players and clothes, summy got clothes and only a couple of toys, imo its a waste of money buying them much at such a young age they grow out of the toys so quick and she doesn't play with toys anyway.

She has started walking, its very cute hehe she still crawls when she wants something quick but is walking around all the furniture and only in the last few days is really walking without holding on to anything.... My baby is growing up she is such a jabba jaws too she babbles constantly not like Tahnie who didn't speak until she was 2.

Anyways fill me in on any goss..... I have a bit ........... I have been hanging out with a man its been a bit tricky with the kids especially Codie she isn't too happy but thats going to happen..... Its nothing serious just hanging out but its been nice.....

shell - good on dj.. another tooth! poopy's still the toothless wonder! he has been having runny poo, dribbling, and waking up more at night. i dunno if he's getting a tooth.
and good on dj on growing big and strong...
poopy's not the biggest but he's doing really well, i couldnt be any prouder of him. of course (like any mum) i think he's absolutely perfect!!

bron - great to hear about hte blood count.. im so so happy for you

trina - glad the girls had a great xmas, i agree, we're not into too many toys for poopy at this stage. he has a few that friends have given as hand me downs, but we're saving them for when he's older or for a special orccasion or a change.
glad you have met someone, even if it's casual. i can understand codie being possesive, i guess she doesnt want someone replacing her daddy.
i hope their daddy spent some time with them at xmas.


i;ve been going thru a lot of emotions lately.. going back to work full time next mth, im starting to hate it.. im now loving every second w poopy, such a change fr the early days. i love him more than anything, my heart just overflows w love for him. i feel i lost out on these feelings in the early days, and now that i feel good and so in love w poopy, i feel like it's being taken away from me again by being forced to go back to work 5 days instead of 3.... it's so unfair.
and im going to tresillian mother and baby unit for a week from monday. im really apprehensive.. im scared of experience with the nasty midwife i had when poopy was born, and im scared it's going to happen again. and i was told that the midwives can be quite regimental at tresillian..
if it gets too much, i might check myself out.. but im hoping to get some tips on getting poopy to sleep thru the night.

i havent posted much because of this.. i know if i posted, i'd write out my emotions but just didnt want to face them, in black and white.

Prama: thinking of you hun as you prepare to return to full time work. When I did it I felt really aweful about it but once I actually started working I found that the thought of it was far worse than the reality, however, it may have been easier for me and Jazz to adjust because she was not quite 5 months old. I decided that I would try to enjoy quality time with her when I was at home. I realise that for me it's not quantity of time but quality of time that make the difference. I try to make the most of my time with Jazz.

If you can, plaster your work area with photos of poppy. I have my photowall between my phone and my computer so I can always see Jazz while I'm at work. Seeing her smiling face in photos helps me get through my day and makes me smile. It reminds me that I am working to provide for her. Due to our situation, I am the provider.



Now can I post about me?

Matt is in Melbourne for the week. He left this morning and returns next Sunday night. I'm really happy to have him away. We've been discussing separation. A lot to work through before any final decisions are made. But I'm using this week as a mini taste of what it might be like as a single mum. After day one I can already say that I'm sooooo much more relaxed and happier. I also achieved so much today. It really is hard to be motivated to do things when Matt is at home sitting on his bum all day in front of the computer. Without him here pulling me down I feel empowered and motivated.

Jazz also seems happier today and I was able to actually follow her normal routine. I wonder if it's just because I'm more relaxed and there's no tension in the house.

thanks danni - i guess it's always harder when you just think about things then how it actually will be. im sure going to have lots of pictures of poopy at work.. im going to put up a wallpaper on my pc, and pin up pictures on my wall. i guess everything happens for a reason..

sorry to hear about you and matt.. is he talking to someone again, or taking meds etc. it's really hard with depression. it affects everyone close to them.. maybe it's his depression that makes him sit in front of the computer all the time.. i can understand it bringing you down and it can also affect jazz.
i hope you can all work it out as a family and things get better.. xoxoxox

Thanks Prama. 2009 is decision year as far as I'm concerned.
Try not to have too many expectations of how things are going to be when you go back to work. Hopefully you'll be busy enough that you wont have time to miss him if you know what I mean. I enjoy my job and enjoy going to work but when 5pm rolls around I turn off my computer and grab my things and think "I get to see my daughter" and now that she's older the look on her face when I walk in the door to pick her up is priceless!

Working on birthday invites already huh! Yeah, I guess I should start thinking about that too. Might just go down to the park for it, then I don't have to do too much to my house, though I have a lot of family who live about an hour drive away so they'll want to come in I think. I don't know if we'll make it small, just mine & matt's parents, my grandpa & BIL & nieces. We'll see.

skye - i realised after i climbed into bed that i didnt post a msg for you!! sorry.
that was scary, watching jaz going down the hill... did she learn her lesson then? so scary!!
the other day, like every evening, i gave lakshman a shower, and steve took him to dry him off and dress him while i dried off. as i was drying myself, i heard steve go 'jesus, mate' and there was a noise and a loud cry.. i ran into his room to see steve comforting him and he was crying away.
steve was putting oil on him and lakshman was wriggly as ever and somehow fell off the change table and onto the carpet. he's so lucky that he missed the slightly ajar tallboy drawers and fell onto a paper bag on the floor which was against some cloth nappies. he also narrowly missed the portable heater. i then distracted him with mobile aeroplane and he forgot that he fell down.. he's was perfectly fine, it was just a shock.
steve felt so bad, i told him not to worry.. these things happen, and poopy was unharmed.
of course poopy was wriggling away again after his bath the next day!!

Well, my holidays are over and I'm back to work tomorrow. I've had a productive week and a bit off. I'm still going to have a "holiday" this week even though I'm at work again...just because Matt's away. Jazz is back to daycare tomorrow as well.

Yesterday was good, i was able to keep her to a routine and she was in bed by 7:30 like she often is when at daycare.

Prama, anytime you need to chat about going back to work full time just let me know. I've been there.

Prama hun they will talk through everything with you first before deciding on a plan for you and lakshman. They are very good at reading a parents anxieties and how to tackle them but you may be in for some tuff love. I know every parent I have ever reffered to tressilian has said it was not easy but that it changed their lives and how things were with their children. I hope all goes well for you in fact I am sure it will and you will feel so confident when you co me home. xx
