It will be hard, but it will get easier. Promise.
Don't forget how good its going to be for him too.Even though you want to be his be-all & end-all its good for him to be socialising & being around others.
    Think of the chicks mum!!!
I understand exactly how you feel even though I'm not there yet. Just the thought that I'll have to get some work soon & start leaving him scares the crap outta me. I've decided to find a family day carer for them both, but still have Bri in pre school the 2 days a week as well.
I cried leaving Jesse with mum last night! But its gotta start somewhere.

Hi hope you are having a nice Sunday, Ive just cracked a bottle of wine.... Having one of those days.... Having issues with new man and kids especially the eldest, she hates him to the point of muttering nastiness under her breath around him and giving him filthy looks and just being horrible looks like it could all be over.... i know they are kids etc etc but its not good at all and i know that some of you may think its too soon but what do you do when your husband leaves you for someone else and someone great falls at your feet.

Anyway blah blah blah sorry in a bad mood......

Summer is a grumpy bum too has a temp and all teething signs can't see any teeth and they are a lil early but who knows with her. She is a maniac at the gym creche climbs all the play tables and was standing on the electric rocker while it was going and just thought it was great... She knocked a poor little boy over then climbed over him to get to something the other day too she has no fear.

Prama poopy will love his time at daycare he will learn so much and have heaps of fun, summer loves the creche she has so much fun there, she goes anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours a day each day (except weekends)

Hope you are all well sorry for the ramble

I got Jesse some cute Seseme street & Pooh bear cups with straws & he's started having full cream milk out of them. He loves it.
I think I'll just go with those instead of bottles. Should be easier to get them off him.

    Hi girls

I haven't forgotten about you, just been so busy lately..... and DJ is very active now, just don't get much time to rest and if I do, I go onto the computer for a bit and by the time I go to type a message here I am needed again haha

A few questions about development stuff
    1) are your babies drinking from a cup now, and drinking water? DJ isn't a big water baby and will only drink it from a bottle, I put the water in a cup and just let him play with it to get used to it though.
    2) What solids are you giving your baby during the day? I want to know if I am giving him enough. I give him his rice cereal in the morning with some fruit plus bottle beforehand, then snack is a yoghurt plus bottle around 11'ish... Lunch is normally veges or something, whatever I can come up with.... and afternoon snack is normally crackers and bottle. Then dinner, he is still a bit fussy with lumpy foods, all depends.... I am trying to get him more used to it and giving him more finger foods. Just want to get an idea of what everyone else does.
    3) Are you still sterilising bottles? I am still doing this and wanting to know if I should start to stop it.... I know they say 12 months but he is crawling around and putting so many other things in his mouth hhaa
    4) what time is your baby going to sleep at night and how long do they sleep - right through? DJ is now sleeping through but still goes to bed around 8:30-9pm.... trying to get him to bed earlier but he is so wired and awake haha sleeping through til 5 or 7 most mornings.... but if he wakes at 5am he will have a bottle and go back to sleep for a few more hours.

I can't think of anything else.....

I will do some personals later when DJ goes down for another sleep

Hey Shell. Good to hear from ya.

Through the day Jesse will have toast, or weetbix, or pureed apples or something for brekky.
Banana, cucumber or grapes for morning tea.
Toasted sandwich for lunch, or chips or something if we are out.
Sao's or mini rice cakes for after noon tea.
Mashed potatoe, pasta, meat, vegies, noodles or something for dinner.

He really only has boob for sleep now. Sometimes if he's upset he gets it too. Started him on full cream milk for drinks. Big water drinker. Its all he's really had besides BF so far.
Dad gave him a nice big drink of black current juice yesterday. He was already drinking it when dad asked if he should've watered it down, lol.
He has also been having an occasional popper, maybe once a week.

Sleeping....not so great. He goes down between 8 & 9. He usually wakes at 7am, but wakes around twice through the night.

He's mostly drinking out of a straw now. Not to keen on cups, but will occasionally have one. Hates bottles, lol.

Haven't been sterilising for a long time. Probably from around 5 or 6 months when he started eating everything. He hasn't had anything really that needs it though. No dummies or bottles.

    1. Jazz is drinking from a sippy cup but it took us a little while to find one that she loves. We just use the take & toss ones. Pack of 6 really cheap. Even though they are "take & toss" they are dishwashable so I to rewash and reuse them, it just doesn't matter if we loose one as they aren't expensive. Particularlly in this heat, I offer her water before a bottle as often she doesn't want any milk but just wants a few monthfuls of water. She gets so excited when she sees her cup. She wont take water from a bottle and wont take milk from a cup at the moment.

    2. Jazz has a bottle in the morning if it's before 8am (which on weekdays it is). At daycare she has weetbix with cows milk for breakfast at about 8:30, lunch at 11:30 which is whatever I pack, generally roughly diced veggies. She loves eating food that has to be chewed, this is often followed by a bit of soft bread roll with vegemite or bread crusts, a teddy bear biscuit or heinz cheesymite stick, then a bottle at 12:30 and nap for a couple of hours. After her nap she has a mix of pureed fruit & yoghurt and another biscuit. At home we either don't give her anything until a bottle after her bath or sometimes we'll give her some things off our dinner plate (if she doesn't steel them first). She'll have a few chips, some carrot sticks, peas and maybe something else depending on what we're having. If we're having pasta we'll give her some of that too.

    3. I never really sterilized. I was told by several people in the medical field that it's really not necessary and to be honest, Jazz has had far less instances of being sick than a friend's child the same age who had everything sterilized. I think I only did it 3 or 4 times when she was really little. First time was as soon as she was born and other than that it was only when we bought something new. I use a high heat setting in my dishwasher which sanitises everything anyway.

    4. Night time sleeping is an issue. She will be really tired and start to dose off during story time (after bath, while drinking a bottle), but then as she starts dosing it's as if she realises and then she spends the next 2-3 hours fighting sleep. Often she ends up in bed at about 10 or 11pm which is so annoying. She'll sleep until about 6:30-7:00 but I think that's more because she's used to being woken up then so we can go to daycare/work so now her body is used to having to get up at that time.
I'm trying everything to get her to sleep at 8-8:30. At least tonight I'll be relaxed watching TV from 7:30 onwards (my fave shows all start tonight) so I'll make sure that I've gotten everything done before then. If I'm relaxed then she seems to fall asleep more easily.
