SJ - I have my own place now. Its sooo good. Well I stayed in mum & dad's house & they moved out of town.
I like chops (lamb) with the Rosemary & garlic marinade by Masterfoods. I hope thats what is called & the right brand!
Anth used to be a roof tiler, so I know how hard they have it in the heat. Its not fun:(
-
hehe - it's funny how teeth work huh.. how they seem to come out and then move back in.
poopy's whole upper gum's swollen, i can see teeth bumps there and his top lip is sticking out a bit cos of that.
they climb so quick dont they!! gosh, have to be careful. poopy took his step yesterday towards us!! and he's standing longer and longer on his own, 15-20seconds.
sorry to hear abt the heatwave.. we're still having it but 40plus in unusual for melb.
i make a lamb tandoori marinade, i get the Patak's tandoori paste from the bottle, then marinate w yoghurt and a bit lemon juice. you can add otehr spices if you want. but it's nicer if you marinate for 24hrs.

Skye i did know you were in a place of your own, didnt you say in a PP that your parents we doing a baby room.... oh no, im a moron, you were talking about thte kinda/playschool thing werent you!!! i really should stop skim reading!
-
Lol, good on ya!
But..... My sister is moving out tomorrow, so they will have a spare room.......
Wonder what they'll do with it?

How did your bubba's cope with the heat (for those of us who are suffering). Jazz was not happy at all. I got so excited because she went down at 8pm while I was reading to her. But then she woke up at about 9pm all hot and bothered and very tired but we couldnt' get her back to sleep until after 11:30. I think Matt ended up putting her in her cot and we could hear her playing for a while.
-
Mj was a wake a bit overnight.
I have given here heaps of watermelon today, for extra water, she is fine with the heat, but the AC has just carked it... poor DH is going to have to fix it tonight when he gets in, the last thing he needs after today.
Hey prama, i think that i just gave you your second green box!!!
-
thanks sj!! i had forgotten how to give a rep until a few days ago!!
we used to have him the bath for a bit before bed, it helped. we have no a/c, so fan at max w a light pj. when we had 45deg days i was giving 2 baths a day.
-
Jazz went to bed early again. Hopefully this time by leaving a fan on in her room until we go to bed means she will stay asleep all night.
Our car A/C totally broke down today. (45 degrees!)
Well, 32 forcast overnight. And another 8 or 9 days of this forcast in SA! It's tempting to bring a bed and TV to work and stay there in the A/C. There's a shower there, and computers so I'd be set! Hmm, don't think security would allow that though LOL.
-
lol danni - we have tv at work, so i'll need is a bed as we dont hv a/c at home.. we do have some comfy sofas tho!
-
Danni i was thinking of you yesterday, it hit 44 here yesterday and i think you guys got to 46!!! hot hot hot.
Sunday should be cooler, back in the mid 30's so we will get some relief then, hope weather breaks soon too.
How is the AC? our is OK now, it triped the safety switch so DH didnt have to fix it thankfully.
Its still in the 30's here MJ didnt sleep weel, we ended up having her in with us as i couldnt keep getting up over night to settle her as its my first day of work today...
wish me luck guys, i think i will be fine, it will be the leaving part thats the hardest, i wont see my beautiful girl until tomorrow night (the only consolation is that i get a full night sleep tonight - but i bet i dont!)
have a good day, i may get on at work today, will see how i go - straight back into lectures *gulp*
-
good luck sj!!!
you'll do great!!!
-
Good luck SJ. Don't lay in bed thinking about her all night, lol!
She'll be fine!
Hope you are ok too.
I'm thinking I might have to get some work, but I'm scared. Sooo not ready yet.
-
I've brought a teatowel with me to work to wet and put around my neck for the drive home as the AC needs to be fixed in the car.
Jazz slept 12 hours straight last night! I wish she'd do that all the time.

A big YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for Jesses and poopys first steps and for MJ's teeth. Clever bubbas growing so fast.Sorry to hear you guys are suffering so with the heat. We are blessed to have air con both home and at work so we havent really felt it so much.
Our dam microwave just died blue sparks smoke the whole lot. We are hanging on hubbys compensation cheque now *L* dont realise how much you use the thing until its broken.
Second week back to work and mum had to have Will for me t oday as he had conjunctivitis and she took him to the Doc. I am pretty happy to think he hagsnt seen the Doc since he was born ( health nurse visits at home) so not to bad to only just have something. So he can go back to care tommorow now he is being treated.AM lad have had a bit of practise over the years putting in the cream because its quite distressing for Will. AM sure it wil be the first of many things to worry about health wise.
Cant wait till next Saturday as we are off to the beach yipeeee.
Hope your day went well back at work SJ I did a late shift today and got home to have a cuddle and then cook tea as Nick had fed and bathed him. He then fell asleep in my arms having his bottle so sort of felt like I hadnt seen him all day. It was a little hard but am sure we will get used to it as I am sure you will too. What sort of care did you end up with?
-
Hi guys!
Hope you are all well & that your first days back weren't too bad.
I'm really thinking I'm gonna have to find work soon. Struggling here & not getting any money off Anth. So I'm slowly introducing the bottle.
H took it pretty easily the other night. Only gave him one then, so I'll see how he goes on bottles all night tonight. Then mums having them tomorrow night so I can go out, so I hope he's ok.
I know he'll be ok with her, but he doesn't like being touched or held by people he doesn't know. So not sure how he'd go at day care.
I was gonna start him off one day a week in a few months & go from there slowly, but now I duno what to do.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick one im afraid so no time for personals.
yesterday when well, despite no AC at work... When the lectures were on it was in AC comfort so we spent a lot of time out of the office!
The girl (Amber) that was doing my job is staying on, it was a job shared thing i worked 3 days and the other girl Jess did 2 days... Jess delievered a baby boy on the weekend so Amber is staying on in a Mat leave position too... anyway, Amber and i have worked for years together nursing on wards so we know each other quiet well...
Just before the lecture she told me that she was having a miscarriage :OMG: poor thing, i told her to go home, but she said that she had been bleeding lightly for a couple of days, but over lunch it turned heavy and she knew for sure that she was loosing it :( its her second m./c in a row, both very early - 6 weeks i think... we both had a cry and i tried to do as much for her as possible during the lecture, i did all the heavy stuff etc and then when it was over she took off home.
I told her not to come in today, i know that she felt obliged as i havent worked for a year and there are 2 lectures on today that i will have to do... but i couldnt have her here in that condition, especially in this heat - her DH is on A/L atm, so she can have a day of cuddles with him, poor thing, she so desperatly wants a baby and both Jess and I having one surely cant make it easy for her :( I just hope she is ok
So i am pooing myslef today - 2nd day back and im totally in the deep end, nothing like being thrown back in though to make me get in the swing hey!
Its going to be 44c here again today so i guess i will hide in the main building again when im not lecturing.
Oh and my BB's have decided that they dont like expressing by pump anymore so i have to hand express  i really feel like a cow now!!!
Its more difficult and so i do small amounts more frequently... ahh the things that we do!
hope everyone else i OK - danni hope you and Jazz are OK in the ehat too

I hv pirate's patch over my left eye. Lakshman poked my left eye and made a diagonal scratch across my cornea and pupil.. had to go to the doctors and get anti-biotics and all.. so very very painful..
ive lost my depth perception! finding it hard to do stuff and tping is straining as well. i found it hard to feed him this morning, i kept missing his mouth.. lol!
-
Hi girls. Sorry you're so hot. I'm sure WA will be in for it again soon.
SJ I know some women who just feed first thing in the morning and then when they get home from work. They don't bother expressing, just give water during the day and solids. Paddy drinks a lot of water now and that has seemed to help with his sleep. I've also given him a taste of formula, goats milk and cows milk. I haven't given it to him in a bottle, just used a sippy cup or straw cup. This means if I have to leave him then he can have other fluids and I don't feel like a cow. Still loves his booby milk best ;)
