Hi all

I'll pass on your thoughts to Sharon when I speak to her next week.

How is everyone going?? Especially Tallon, Lucy insisted that I ask, Liz!! Just so that all the other girls know, he's now taken, Lucy decided she wanted him when she met him the other day! And no surprise, he's such a cutie. It took him a little longer to warm to Lucy (she's a bit forward, wonder where she gets that from?? LOL) but in the end her charm won out! It was so cute to see them reaching out their hands to each other. I love it now Lucy interacts with other babies and kids, so cute to watch.

She doesn't seem to like adults as much. Sizes them up and then decides if she likes them. If she's in a good mood and isn't tired it's smiles all around, but sometimes that bottom lip starts quivering and she just wants me. No handing her around for cuddles with everyone.

Unfortunately this week we got a note from MIL inviting us around for her bday lunch Sat. Typical, only wants to see her granddaughter for selfish reasons. Now that it suits her she's decided that after 5 months she's going to speak to us again. She's in for a rude shock if she thinks we're going to forget all the horrible things she said and let it go. As if it's ever going to be the way it was! Plus, if we don't stick to our guns re our boundaries Lucy will have to deal with this when she's older and the very thought makes me want to smack the stupid $%^&. I wouldn't let someone walk up to Lucy and hit her so I'm not going to let her own grandmother do exactly that emotionally. What's Lucy supposed to think if grandma chucks a tantrum and decides she suddenly doesn't want to see her every time she's upset with us? Especially since she makes up her grievances in the first place. Someone told me she sounded like she had a narcissistic personality and I think that's spot on.

We aren't going around for lunch, we have other plans anyway. But we're going to call by the following Sat am for morning tea. That way we don't have to stay long. And if she thinks she's seeing us often after that she can forget it. DP is considering not inviting her to the christening.

Anyway, enough venting. Hope everyone is well. Poor Lucy caught a cold from the meet up the other day, but she seems happy enough. Just a runny nose and waking up for an extra feed at 2-3 am. Guess she knows she needs to keep her fluids up, clever girl!
