Just thought i'd update quickly on how we are getting on.
Mia is doing very well and growing up so quickly as i'm sure all your bubs are too. I cant believe how well her speech is coming on she parrots everything we say and is putting words together in little sentences. She has been up and down with her asthma still but i'm hoping we finally have it on track. She has had 4 attacks in 12 weeks so i demanded she be put on a preventer. I have also invested in a nebuliser so hopefully less trips to ER and after hrs GP. Of course if she is bad enough to need it we will still have to see a Dr but at least i know i can get her breathing under control b4 we get there iykwim. I still havent reallly pushed the TT training though she does use the potty when she asks too. She tells me when she is weeing or pooing though i'm not sure if she recognizes that she is about to or just once it is happening. I'm in no hurry though as i'd prefer not to be cleaning up lots of accidents whilst Molly is still so little. Mia has adjusted very well to having a sister and cries if she thinks we are going out without her or if she is not up in the morning when she gets up. She has got herself into a very cute routine in the mornings of coming out of her room getting 2 cups and spoons from her tea set and bringing 'cups of tea' to DH and myself b4 jumping in bed for a cuddle with us. Whoever is up 1st DH or myself always takes the other a cuppa so i'm sure she has just picked up on that but its too cute for words. THe last few days she has been refusing her day sleeps and going to bed between 5.30 and 6pm and sleeping through til about 7. I dont know if i should persist with day sleeps or let her carry on like this. Well i hope you are all doing well and the countdown is on til they officially hit the terrible 2s.

It has been so long between posts. Everyone must be so busy. Plus i thought i should post as i found us on the third page
Well Liam had a great time at his party, I can't believe he has reached already!!!!! His ankle/foot is 95% recovered. It is still a little "ouchy" apparently when we put his joggers on and if he has been overly active.
He is practicing putting two and three words together and will parrot everything. Half the time you can't actually understand it but at least he trying.
Bradley is like a new child. We have introduced pocket money on a weekly basis. A whole $2.50, and each time he is naughtly, rude etc after one warning he looses 10 cents. We have been going since Monday, so only 3 days but his attitude has improved 100%. I am less stressed/angry and he is happy with that too. A win win situation for all. It will be interseting if he actually gets all of it this week, and then i may become a big tighter on the reins as he has had one or two instances yesterday i probably should have taken 10 cents but i didn't want to dampen the mood. He thinks its wonderful and has already told me thats why he is trying to be better now.
DH has been hard at work doing the side landscapng and getting ready for turf for there and out the front. It will arrive tomorrow, the side fence and gates were ordered today and then all we have left to do is the driveway.....just add more money!!!!
Still can't decide on a new ticker so i was glad the old one changed itself.

Kas ~ Good to hear Liam is feeling better, he'll be back to mischeif making very soon no doubt. I checked out the Kabuki on google and oh my goodness some of the timberwares are gorgeous!!! I might have to find a consultant in this area! I only looked at the timberwares and I loved what I saw so I might have to check out the other bits and peices on there! now I'll just have to control myself and not spend too much money!!!

Well, I've been a bit slack posting in here but have a good excuse - every time I sit at the computer it seems I have a mountain of work and get about 10 mins for BB!
I can't believe it, but Lucy (and Tallon and Cailan, if I remember correctly) will be turning two on Monday!! We are having a little birthday party for Lucy tomorrow, she has half a dozen little friends coming over and if it's a nice day (as forecast) we'll haul out the water play and let them have a swim in the pool if parents are willing. Nothing fancy otherwise, I'll make some cupcakes tonight and buy some hats. DP is making sandwiches and I guess I'll do a fruit platter. Running out of food ideas - oh, popcorn perhaps!
Lucy knows she is having a party and her friends are coming. She is also excited about getting more presents (how quickly do they learn that one?!).
Her actual birthday is on Monday and my MIL is coming over for her dinner and to spend a bit of time with her. Still can't stand being anywhere near her, but that's neither here nor there as long as she behaves herself.
Lucy starts preschool on Tuesday for the whole day. We have been along the last two Tuesday mornings and she loves playing and even followed instructions very well last time. Not sure how she'll go when she realises I've left, but we'll see. I have to put labels on her stuff on Monday, thankfully I was given some for Xmas.
She has also started going to swimming lessons without me in the pool - which means I get to sit back and watch with nothing else to do for half an hour. It's strange watching her in the class doing what she's told and swimming around. Seems like she's growing up so fast!
Apart from all of the activity the only real leap she's made is in speaking. She uses proper sentences now, four or five words. Gives a running commentary on everything that's going on. Still has some babble when she's playing because she's speaking so quickly I can't understand her! Loves playing with her dolls, teddies and Little People figures/houses/etc. She makes them all do things and takes them 'out' in her toy car or 'shopping' in her trolley. She gets them to give each other cuddles and kisses too, so cute to watch.
The other good news is she's totally happy when Katie comes now and plays with her without a thought for me unless I pop my head in. Still not happy that I'm leaving but at least she doesn't cry.
How is everyone else doing? Hoody, how are Mia and Molly doing? And Jen, haven't heard from you for a while - how are your girls? Hope you and your boys are feeling better soon, Steph. And Kas, hope Liam's ankle is better too.

(ok, so its a day late, but i hope they all had a terrific day.
OMG at Lucy going off to pre school today. I hope it all went smoothly for you Jen, and there were no tears on either side. I have been lookin gat a few places for Liam to start next year but nothing definate as yet.
Steph - I hope you all get over the belly bug you have. There is nothing worse than trying to look after the kids when you have it as well. Well done to you DH for staying at home to look after you all. If you are interested i can get contact details of a local Kabuki consultant for you if you would like to view a full catelogue. So Liam now has three eye teeth, still waiting on the bottom right, and no sign of the two yo molars yet. Bradley ended up with $2 from his first week of pocket money after only loosing 10cents during the week and then earning it back by sweeping out the front, he lost 50cents on the last night over his dinner. He is the man of excuses and decided from the get go he wasn't eating it, after a very long and drawn out saga he went to bed not eating and 50 cents lighter.....we will see if the lesson has been learnt next time we have a stir fry!!!!

Hi kas, thanks for the birthday wishes for Lucy. Had a giggle at Brad and the pocket money. And I'm sure Liam's teeth will be thru soon. Lucy's came in some time ago, but I paid so little attention I couldn't tell you when they finished. Before Xmas I think?
Yay and Boo hoo all at once my baby girl is 2 . Where does the time go. We are going really well though she had an asthma attack today so not a nice end to her birthday but we got it under control pretty quickly. Mia is enjoying going to daycare 1 day a week and has no problems going or with me leaving. She certainly is a very happy outgoing little lady. She is talking more every day and can parrot everything. We have mastered please and thankyou also which i am pleased about. Mia also loves been a big sister and is very doting just a little rough at times although she doesnt mean to be
I am here i am just very busy at the moment i swear the older the kids get the busier you get. It doesn't help in that 15mths apart and dd 2 is crawling and trying to stand up and all of that as well Ahhhhh!! The house looks like a bomb has gone off daily now.

Well we had Miss T's party sat and gosh what a great day it was all her little friends came around 8 in all and the parents as well, i did finger food for kids and adults and also the loot bags and a thnkyou gift for the parents for coming but it was a great day and i am so happy Miss T had fun and enjoyed it. It was so cute to watch her blow her candles out and i asked her how old are you and she says " two" and points to the candle. Once the candles where blown out she wanted more more more so i lit it another three times so cute. She got spoilt rotten and me and dh are overwhelmed by the presents and everyone coming oer we invited as it is hard for us as we have no family at all here just good friends that we have met along the way.
Miss T doesn't stop talking and bables this and that all the time some of it i can't understand but she is putting words together and that so cute to listen and here my jaw drops sometimes as she says sentences when you least it expect it! Heaps more to tell but will later.
Miss Shayla is all grown up now too and into everything as well as saying mamma mamma etc she has 6 teeth and seems to be dioing things fater than what Miss T was doing. Gosh Miss S has grown so fast i look back and think were did the time go.....
The business still booming and all good. I am though very very busy and don't have time for much these days. For the next two months we have somehting every weekend so i am lokoing forward to a weekend to ourselves once the next two months are over with.
Ok gotta fly kids needing attention.

Seth is now 2 and doing really well, we have playgroup once a week and are about to start kinder gym as well. I seem to (strangely) have more time on my hands so I thought maybe I could pop in and keep up with all the other March bubba's. Is that ok with everyone?
Hey Cailin the more the merrier however it is a very quiet group!
Is anyone else having trouble to get their toddlers to have a day sleep? Mia is generally in bed between 7-7.30pm and sleeps through til about 7-7.30am but fights something chronic to have a day sleep. Some days it seems easier just to let her stay up as i can be trying for a couple of hours iykwim. If she misses her day sleep she is ready for bed by 6-6.30pm as she is just so ratty from about 4pm. She is in a big bed and can let herself out of her room so its not as easy as just putting her down and leaving her there. I try to be consistent with putting her back to bed but she will empty her drawers, strip off (nappy and all) and basically do anything but sleep and still will come back out after 10mins and once i've put her back to bed after 3 or 4 times she will scream. I have tried putting her down earlier/late nothing seems to make a diff. I try to have her down after lunch about 12.30pm as this is when she starts to get tired. If i do succeed and she sleeps she can sleep for anything up to 3.5hrs and goes down easier at night too. I know she still needs this sleep but getting her to have it is a diff matter. Any advice is welcome.

Hoody - Miss T's routing is this if it is any help:
Up at 7-7.30am
Goes down for a sleep at 11.00am until about 1.30pm sometimes longer or shorter.
Goes to bed at 7pm
She has been doing this for some time now and it is the same routine she has at daycare she goes to daycare twice a week.
The only thing i can think of is that she fights her tiredness sign and she gets her second wind? If she does that then it is hard for you to tell when she is tired. Miss T tried this on me but didn't succeed. The only thing i can think that you could try is put her in bed tell her that it is sleep time and sit on a chair outside her bedroom door and every time she gets up put her back no talking etc she will get the message eventually but it could take a few times.
Not sure what age gap is between your two but mine is 15mths and i have been able to get both the girls into the same routine exactly but DD#2 has an afternoon sleep as well thats the only difference. Maybe you could try that and see if that works? I no i am not much help but just a couple of suggestions
Jen- Happy Belated B'day Lucy for the 10th Sorry it is very very late (hope you can forgive me.) Thats great news about katie and it must be such a weight lifted off your shoulders too jen. It is good when you no your child is happy with someone else looking after them and they say kids are the best judge of character so you must have a good one there jen!
Preschool wow - not sure if they have that in far north qld maybe it is called something else? She goes to daycare twice a week so i spose that is preschool in a way. I hope everythig else is going good for you and the family.

Well not too much more to report here and yes i am sure your eyes are closing as you read this. The girls are both good Miss S cracks me up every day she is a bundle of joy and all i here most of the day is the two girls playing and laughing. Miss T loves to help mummy in the kitchen as well now so then Miss S feels left out so Shayla sits in the high chair and watches and miss T and i go for it, cooking anything or just doing the dishes and cleaning together. I have to laugh though as Miss S thinks she is funny by stealing things off Miss T and hiding them, oh sisterly love it is so cute to watch and see.
Still thinking we might have another bubba but undecided as if we have another one we have to have another one after that as we don't like uneven numbers. We do want them all close together though. So i will hold you all in suspense for a while longer....... mmm who knows i could be now.............
Well must be off to get some sleep tonight but i do want to wish you ALL A VERY HAPPY AND SAFE EASTER as i don't think i will get the chance to get on again this week but i will try to make an effort and post more.
Hoody - Lucy too likes to fight the whole nap in the afternoon thing, but I know she needs it because when she does go down it's for two hours at home.
She likes to play in her room when I put her down for a nap. I have started going back in after a few minutes if she isn't settling (ie if she isn't lying on her bed chattering quietly, but is up and around), tell her it's nap time and put her back in her bed. I've repeated it a few times, usually there are a few tears and then she goes to sleep. She's been doing the same thing some nights as well, so I think it's a phase - testing me to see where the boundaries are when it comes to putting her down to sleep.
Jen - sounds like the girls are so cute together and good luck with you decision on TTC#3!
There are a few private preschools in our area that take little ones from the age of two, but not many. Most preschools have classes for 3-4 yr olds and then another class for 4-5 yr olds, before they start school. It is different to NQ (I grew up in Townsville, so know their system better and am learning about it down here!). I think preschool started because kids don't have to start kindergarten (first year at school) until they are 5. Whereas when I was in Townsville most primary schools had a preschool attached for the year before they started school that isn't the case down here. Kinder is a full day at school. I know it's changed up there and you now have prep as the first year at school, so it's like NSW & Vic. Hope that explanation wasn't too long-winded!
I wanted to send DD along to preschool rather than child care, firstly because it meant I could wait until after she turned two (I negotiated with DP to stay with her at home as much as I could) and secondly because I like the structure of the classes they have at the preschool. She can go along for three years until she starts school. It's got a very good educational program and it's so cute to watch them lining up like at school! Free play as well, but mixed in with set class routines.
Yesterday she didn't want to leave when I picked her up - said 'bye bye' and ran back into the cubby house when I saw her and chucked a tantrum all the way to the car 10 mins later! How unloved do I feel??
Lucy loves to help me too, aren't they funny! Altho atm she's going thru a period of not wanting me to help her with anything, she insists on trying herself.
Just thought I would poke my head in here and say hi to everyone. I do check on you all from time to time but not a lot of time to post, as you all know! Well my wee man turned two on the 11th, I can't believe how grown up he is now. He goes to daycare two mornings a week, but after a few weeks of being fine about being left there, he has been really clingly the last few weeks and cries when I try to leave him. He also tells me from about 7.30am that morning "no school, no kids", which breaks my heart. So I may reconsider his time there, not sure yet.
As you can see from my signature, we are having a hard time TTC #2. It seems we can conceive naturally now but for some reason I keep losing them. I am having bloods done at the moment to see if that sheds any light but more than likely I will come back "normal"! Am a little scared about trying again but will just keep my fingers crossed.
I have a feeling Noah will drop his afternoon nap shortly, it seems to be getting shorter whereas he always slept for a solid 2 hours, maybe more. At the moment he is:
Up about 7.30am, sometimes 8.00am
Nap between 12.30-1 to 2.30-3
Bed at 8-8.30pm
I've tried putting him to bed earlier as I think he should be in bed by 7.30 but it doesn't really work as he doesn't go to sleep until 8.30 regardless. We have had a really hot summer so I think he has just adjusted his routine because of that.
Well sorry for no personals, I hope to try to be in here more often. It's nice to be back with the old gang!

OK so my baby turned toddler is growing up so fast. DH put him into his cot on Wed night as i had heaps to do and did his story etc - nothing out of the ordinary as he does it when he can when he is not at work. Then we decided to look at beds on thursday, not expecting to find one fist go, but we come home with new timber beds for both boys. DH got them built that night and Liam spent his first night in a big boys bed of his very own with DH tucking him in and doing the story. It kind of feels a bit strange- Iam usually the one doing all the firsts IYKWIM. I am not sad or anything that DH did the last cot or first night in bed thing as I am sure that is something he will always remember and i guess i have had alot of firsts/lasts with both boys , it just kinda crept up on me. So anyway, his first night he lasted till about 4.30am until he woke and i took into our bed and last night he slept all the way through with a great sleep in , 8.30am. The only thing we need to work on is getting him into the habbit of staying in bed and climbing out and learning to self settle again. We have a gate on his door now as i would hate for him to fall down the stairs at night or get up to any other mischief. It may end up we need to sit on his floor at first and over a few nights, then sit near door then periodically check in with him to help get back into routine. It just seems so strange now going into his room with a big bed and having his cot in the spare room and now no need for all the cot sheets etc..... However a lady from DH's work has just found herself needing to adapt to single parentood in a few months when her bubs is due so DH has offered her our things.
I have decided to change Liam's little pic in my ticker as he really suits the little wiggle man . He just can't sit still and is on the go all the time!!!!
These school hols are proving to be a challenge already and its only day 2 (we had a show holiday on friday). Bradley is forever wanting to eat and is bored. Thankfully next week he has swimming every morning, a couple of play dates lined up and DH will be at home to help keep him occupied and me sane.
I guess everyone is busy with kiddies, work and life in general. We are all well. Brad went back to school today after a very long, wet two weeks of holidays. He has decided he might give gymnastics after school a miss this term and try Hip Hop dancing....could be interesting . Liam has settled well into his bed and is self settling most of the time unless he has a day sleep, which is usually a few times a week. In the last few weeks he has exploded with his words and most of the time now he is clear in what he says and uses two or three words to explain what he wants. Bradley was the same took ages to talk and form sentances and now won't shut up! I got Liam's last bounty bag pixi photo done a few weeks back, he still looks so little especially wheb i compare it with Bradley at the same age. He is still weighing in about 9.8kg and is still eating like a horse. He loves Thomas the Tank and Elmo and has worked out how to turn on the TV, insert a DVD and get it started. He has also been caught in Bradley's room turning on his computer (he has education games etc on it), sitting in the chair, mouse in hand trying to get something to work.
