Nat, that is great Taia slept for 7hrs, I hope you were able to get some rest in that time too?! It must have been the fresh Tassie air??!!

Sarah, that sounds so funny to me in Melbourne, you taking winter clothes on your trip to Brisbane!! Have a great time, enjoy the freezing 25degree weather

Which reminds me, forgot to share with you all. We have booked a family holiday to Daydream and Hamilton Island early next year. I cant wait!!!!

Sonia, how did the dinner and babysitting go? Hope you were able to let your hair down just a bit!

Hi to everyone else. I may sound chirpier than normal because I am finally (almost) getting a good nights sleep every night. Same thing happened last night, Tate fed at 7pm, woke about midnight, and instead of feeding I rolled him over and patted his bum, he slept for another 2hrs. Fed him. Woke again at 6am, rolled him over, slept another 2hrs! So although I am up settling him, I am getting more sleep than what I would have been feeding him every 4hrs.

Sonia, yay that the interview went well. hope you get the job. I am still deciding whether or not I am going to apply for part time jobs soon.

Natty, hope you enjoying being in Tassie. Yay on the 7 hour sleep!

Sarah, omg Claire is doing the same thing with her feeds sort of. Its quite annoying! She'll only feed for 5 minutes then be over it and fall asleep and want more in half an hour. hope brissie is nice! Would love to go somewhere warm at the moment. I am definately using my winter clothes here in freezing sydney - its gotten so cold so quickly!

Jessica yay on getting more sllep, you must feel so much better now.
How cool on the holiday next year - sounds fantastic.

Went to a 5 yr high school reunion type thing last night - it was nice to see *some* of the girls there. They were all so amazed that I'm married with a baby. I havent really kept in touch with anyone - i left nearly 8 years ago. I brought some photos of her with my to show them.
I left 2 bottles of EBM while I was out and Claire didnt even wake up at all while I was out. So impressed, because she's been funny with her feeds all week and sort of clusterfeeding.

Went out to Target yesterday and got Claire some clothes. They have a sale on baby stuff! So now she has lots of new singlets and body suits.

I was going to go to the Baby market today as its only up the road, but I only remembered about it about 15 minutes before it was closing silly me.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Hi girls...what a busy weekend, I don't know where the time goes anymore! Didn't get half the things done that we were going to. The biggest disappointment was that I didn't get my hair cut!! I was so disappointed. My sister coloured it but double booked herself and didn't have time to cut it. She said she will do it later in the week - I really really hope so. The colour is good but now I need a fresh cut. I shouldn't complain as the colour only cost me $20, but I was so looking forward to a new look, have felt a bit blah since Grace was born and a pick me up was in store.

Had a freak out period yesterday. Grace was due for a feed at 12pm - she hadn't slept much and was awake and grizzly just before 12 so we thought we would feed her. I put her to the breast and she pushed me away and started screaming and going red in the face. I gave her a cuddle (she didn't settle) so I tried again, same thing only she as getting worse and worse. She made her entire body bright red and hot - pulled her wondersuit off and gave her another cuddle - it was now 12.30pm. Thought maybe she wasn't hungry yet so we waited a while and she fell asleep in my arms. Then at 1pm she woke again so thought she must be hungry now (had been 4 hours since last feed). Put her to the breast - screaming and thrashing about again - by this stage I'm starting to get upset and worried as to why she wouldn't feed, especially seeing I had to leave in 30 minutes to get hair done and it was supposed to be first relaxing afternoon since she was born. DH took Grace so I could get myself together and to try and calm her. I ended up heating up 30mls of EBM and giving this to her via the bottle which took a good 5 minutes to get her to take. Then she started screaming again so put her to the breast again as she was obviously hungry. It took a good 5 minutes of persisting and remaining calm until, at 1.30pm (when I was supposed to leave), she finally attached and started feeding properly. You wouldn't believe how relieved I was. So I fed her then left 30 minutes later a much more relaxed mummy. I have no idea what was wrong and why she wouldn't feed but I really hope that never happens again as it was horrid. I was so worried! Which obviously didn't help the situation. Poor DH had quite an unsettled afternoon with her and she ended up sleeping in his arms for most of the afternoon - so at least now DH understands why there are times when I get nothing done as she won't sleep anywhere but with me.

Sarah - lol at the cold weather in Brisbane! WE would probably take summer clothes to Brisbane. Bizarre what we get used to. I can't wait to get the BBH, hope they come before I go away on Friday.

Karina - what a laugh it would be to go to a reunion. I would love to see what people are doing (or not doing!). Yay on the new baby clothes. We have been looking at cute outfits to get Grace for the wedding - so many cute dresses around, the problem is which one to pick!

Jess - yay on the better sleep. Do you need someone to carry your bags when you are on holidays!!!

Sonia - glad the interview went well - let us know when you know. how was your dinner?

Rachel, sorry to hear you didnt get the cut you were looking fwd to. I hope Grace is back to her usual self again too. See you Wednesday!

Karina, I bet the reunion was interesting. We were due for our 10yr reunion last year but everyone was too lazy to organise something. I was secretly glad because I wound have been pregnant. I would much rather go after I lose 10kg's and can have a good drink! So hopefully I start losing some weight and they organise one this year. Knowing my luck I will be breastfeeding, unable to drink, and havent lost an inch!

Caro, hope your little man continues to be pain-free.

Tate was good again last night, 6 and 6. Cant complain. He makes my heart melt with his big blue eyes and cheeky smile. I was singing Gwen Stefani this morning to him and he thought that was great, crazy kid!

Hi everyone. I'm still getting back to health at the moment... ongoing problem which flared and caused me some anxiety and stress. Very concerning moments, but hopefully we'll find something one day which will manage it all better. Man, I soooo can't remember what's been said since I was here last!! Looks like for most that bubs are getting more settled now. I've noticed that Oskar is a lot better now and is happy to lay on the floor with his toys and have a chat while I have brekky or go to the toilet etc. So that is nice. I think it's a lot to do with their eyesight developing and they don't feel like you've left them alone in a place where they can't see properly?? That's my theory anyway.

Jessica, I'm so glad that Tate is sleeping better for you hun. I did the same with Oskar but during the day instead of feeding when I used to all the time I divert his attention so he's feeding better instead of grazing and allowing me time to do things.

Must be off, Oskar is waking up now... LOVE my baby monitor - I can HEAR him now when he wakes...woohoo!!! He has such lovely smiles now and I love it... oh I updated pics too... click his name and I think pics from number 13 on are the newies. Hugs n kisses to all of you and bubs too Sarah... you are most welcome honey.

    Hey everyone,

Who would have thought that after 3 days of Kailee not feeding properly and being a pest, that today she would come out with chicken pox. Fantastic I say. And the worst part is that the ECHN discovered it at the Early Parenting Group this morning, so now the other 9 babies have to be watched, how horrible do I feel.

Its so horrible for her, she isn't settling properly and so we are having temper tantrums because she just doesn't know what to do with herself. Not nice!

    Ooop screaming again....

Richelle, thats terrible about the chicken pox - I hope everyone is ok and it doesnt last too long.

Cass,I hope you are feeling better. How cute are their conversations! Claire is a talkative one. I reckon she is saying "hungry" sometimes lol. Cute pictures!!

Jessica, the reunion was 'interesting' for want of a better word. I only went so I could see like 2 people. It was also meant to be our 5 year reunion which *should* have been last year so if it was, i also wuld have been pregnant. Wow on a nice big sleep. Awesome.

Rachel, argh about Geace being canky and not feeding - glad you sorted it out though. bum about not getting your hair cut, but yAY on getting the colour done! I should get my hair cut , its awful.

    ok someones waking.. better go

    Girls
    I GOT THE JOB!!!
20hrs per week and they are flexible with what days I want to do. I start in two weeks so now have to do something about EBM/Formula not sure if i can get enough supply up in the freezer. K is three months today, god its gone so quickly. He has his 3month check up on Wednesday cant wait to get his weight/height measured to scale to see how he is going.
we had some professional photos taken, the are only up on this website for about 1 month so if you would like to go on and have a look go to: http://www.members.westnet.com.au/he...mmerellfamily/
Dinner was great on Saturday night very hot hot hot though so didnt eat too much, K has been pooing big time hehe.. Babysitting was good for my parents, a bit of a crying streak but soon settled to sleep so they arent scared to babysit again.

Sarah: Hope the feeding settles soon. Im still feeding K every 2 hrs during the day then he sleeps around 10hrs during the night. I dont know when he is going to miss a few feeds during the day, thought he might my now being 12 weeks but no still wanting that feed.
Nat: YAY for 7hrs sleep thats fantastic. Have fun in Tassie.
Jess: YAY for getting more sleep it feels good doesnt it, i love my sleep!!!
Karina: OMG reunions, i had my last year before i feel pregnant so was very happy indeed that i was looking ok cause i was so scared to see some of the people. im glad i went though. Did you get numbers of the 2 people you saw? did you click again or had things changed between you guys? We had a baby market too but we slept in till 11 so missed out,.. OOPs.. hehe Yay on the clothes from target, i want to get some more wondersuits for K and also some singlet suits from bonds.
Caro: Sorry i have to read yours after i post.
Rachel: OMG i would be freaking out to, im glad things worked out in the end for you and I hope you can get your haircut this week too. Can your sister come to you??
Cass: I hope your feeling better soon, its not good that you arent feeling 100%. Good to hear Oskar is going well.
Jess: so cute about Gwen i sing alot to Kaiden, he must think im crazy mama. I love Groove Armada and Jamiroquai so play that alot in my car.. i really should be playing baby stuff but oh well he will be a groover when he is a toddler.. hehe
Richelle: - EEK on chickenpox, its not your fault though you didnt know, the other mums cant blame you for it. Its lucky they caught it when they did otherwise things could have gotten worse.

Sonia, wow well done on the job! Thats fantastic, adnd even better that they are flexible and let you choose your days. With expressing, I have been trying to express just a little bit each day as I *might* have a week or so of work sorted out next month, so I am trying to stock up! On the days you are working you can express when you'd normally feed, and then Kaiden can have it the next day that you are at work? Is he staying with your parents or a childcare centre? yeah, it was good to see the few people I actually wanted to catch up with at the reunion - it was like old times and we laughed about the horrid english teacher we had in year 9 who spat so much we needed an umbrella... though one person who I particularly wanted to see didnt show up I am guessing she couldnt be contacted, as she left in year 10 and moved house since, like I did, and they had trouble finding me. Wondersuits are great - I have several. Not for me, for Claire. DH doesnt like them as he cant get Claires hands through the cuffs. We had this great wondersuit with stretchy cuffs, but its too small now. Your photos came out well - Kaiden's such a cutie and you all look so happy. Was he happy or cranky for the photos? Its great that he's awake for most of them, lol. I love the one of him lying down and you're kissing his cheek and he's smiling. Its one of the ones towards the end of the list. Sooo cute. Theyre all great shots.

I just cannot sleep tonight. Its terrible. Claires been doing longer sleeps, which is great!!!.. I'm just not used to it. Its 1am, and we put her down to bed about 8 or 8:30pm. I have worked out the reason. Well actually my Mum told me... she told me to make Claires room warmer at night. Such a simple solution! But, it has been working. I've been putting the heater a bit warmer and putting her in a fleecy bag thing and she now sleeps longer. Why couldnt I think of that myself earlier?! I think the room is 23 degrees now. Previsouly it was about 20 or 21, so not much difference really.

Still trying to convince hubby that he should change nappies occassionally. He will be holding Claire and we'll both hear her do a monsterous poo (dont they do such funny faces when doing poo!), and then he'll tell me she needs to be changed, or will give her to me (think that Babylove nappy ad) or sometimes he wont tell me and will just put her in bed with a full nappy.. um, cant you change her? So she ends up being in a full nappy for ages because he'll just put her in her bed without changing her, then she fills up her nappy even more (as they do), and then he wonders why her nappies leak. hmmm MEN! She is also getting bad bum rash, but the Curash cream helps that. Now, if she didnt have a wet bum for long times, there would be less bum rash! I have some educating to do I think lol.

omg I am getting random let downs right now. Does this happen to anyone else? Just really random times?

Can I also ask - did anyone else get the line on their tummy while pregnant and is it still there? I got it and its still there. Not as dark, but still very much there. Anyone else?

    ok well, goodnight all.

Richelle, I hope you get through chickenpox without too much of a problem. She should start to feel not as bad in the next few days though.

Karina, I still have the line.

What I was actually just quickly popping in to let you all know is that Supa IGA stores... now I can't be sure if this is only QLD or if it's Aust wide... not even sure if they are Aust wide... but anyway, they have the bulk box of Huggies nappies on sale for $29.95 at the moment.

Later all you lovely mummies and bubs, gotta go and feed my little man... AGAIN..lol.

    Good Morning

Karina:- Yep i can express while at work, i have some already in the freezer i have six 180ml cups at the moment and i have a week and half before i start so will do a cup or two everyday so stock up some more the only problem is that he is still feeding every 2hrs so that means about 4 bottles a day and thats a lot so will have to keep expressing everyday which can get a bit annoying at times. My mum and DH mum will do the days im working so i dont have to worry abut daycarwhich is great. bummer about the friend you wanted to see. Have you tried schoolfriends website? I know the photo your talking about, i love it to. so many i want to get printed. what time did you get to sleep?
OMG on hubby not changing nappies.. i would be telling him a few words if i was you.. why doesnt he want to change them???? I still hae the line on my tummy its slowly fading though.

    Thanks Caro.
I know so many photos to go through to choose.
Its a sister of one of the girls i go swimming with at SJOG Murdoch, she came to our place for $100 sitting fee then each size print has different costs... i am getting 3 of them put on canvas so will be a little more expensive for those ones.
Kaiden is also in infant size and im not happy about them coming in the bags and not the boxes, huggies knows how to rip you off thats for sure.

    Hi all,
wow I can't keep up with you all!

Congratulations Sonia on the job! Great that you don't have to do daycare, I'm waiting to hear back from two places if they have room for Sebastian for when I start at the end of July, so fingers crossed. Photos are just gorgeous! What beautiful eyes he has!

Caro, so good to hear that Michael is doing better. What a legend that pharmacist is!

Karina, bummer that your DH won't change the nappies, perhaps if you mention to him (subtly?!) that it will make her nappy rash worse? I still have the line quite dark, I guess it will go away eventually.

Richelle, bummer re the chicken pox! I guess you won't need the vaccination now!

Cass (ozzie), I know what you mean, S is much better about occupying himself for a few minutes while I go to the loo or whatever. Sometimes he still wakes up and he's upset, but I just go up to him and hold his hands and stroke his head and he's fine again. We have some great "chats" - he never shuts up! Hope you're feeling much better now and back to health.

Jessica, S loves singing too. He seems to have some favourite songs but he'll pretty much jig along to anything!

Rachel, S had one of those meltdowns a while ago, wouldn't feed, just screamed and screamed. I think it must have been some very painful wind that wouldn't shift, after about 45 minutes he stopped and fell asleep. Hasn't done it since, so hopefully it's a one-off for you too! Bummer on the haircut, hope you get it done soon.

Was supposed to go to Mothers' group today but have this stupid cold, it's not too bad, but I don't want to spread it around. We spent today at home and tomorrow we're going to school to meet up with my friend whose classes I'll be taking next term. Just had an email from him saying that the deputy principal wants to have a meeting beforehand, that's a bit scarey! I mean, I know him quite well, but you know, it's all very official. And because S will be coming along too, hopefully he doesn't get tetchy! I'll take both pram and HAB I think, just in case...

Hello just quickly popping in to say hi, this business thing is really taking up a lot of time but it is heaps of fun! We are up and running with a few lines already however if you girls want to order something email me at sales@nappybucket.com and you can pay via credit card or paypal on email as I will give you a 10% discount and haven't set that feature up at the store yet.

Ari is doing well, pushing up nice and high on her arms and trying so hard to roll. Good to hear everyones babies are doing well

Rachel - oh hope Grace is feeling better, Ari has been fussing like that and we put it down to her teeth moving around.

Sonia - wohoo on the job, with the expressing you might like to look into hiring a double electric from ABA that way you express both sides every four hours instead of one side every two and it's a lot quicker. Apparetly you can express handsfree with them as well although I don't know how comfortable that would be.

Karina - Oh I hope DH gets over that soon, that's one thing my DH aually does :-) My line has nearly gone but I still have the pigmentation on my face

Richelle - hopeyour little bubba is feeling better soon.

Caro - Glad to hear Michael is doing well

Sarah, yay on the nappy business, thats fabulous news. Is you website up yet?

Sasha, hope your meeting for your job goes well. It might be just an informal thing so they can meet you and give you a quick breifing or something. I'm sure you'll be fine. Hope your cold goes away soon.

I was so excited today!! I gave Claire some tummy time and she pushed up on her arms and pushed herself over onto her back and then laughed. She did it a couple of times. So proud of her! It was so cute. Yay! Shes now started chatting to us too.

In a couple weeks, our mothers group is going to have a bbq on the weekend so the Dads came come too and meet each other. Should be good.

and... omg... Claire slept from 11pm to 8 am !! I had to get up at 3am to express though as I was so full that I was leaking and my breasts were like rocks and it was damn uncomfortable!! lol. But I was so proud of her for sleeping all the way through the night!

OMG - I can't keep up with you girls! I will try to write as much as possible but I expect grace to wake up anytime, she is in my arms asleep- so cute!

We've been good. Grace is liking tummy time more and more. She too is working on rolling from her back. She's almost got it, gets herself so frustrated when she can't do it! Grace slept from 6.15pm to 5.30am last night! She started to make noises at 3.30am so i jumped up to get to her so she didn't wake DH and she was still asleep just restless, so i gave her the dummy and she went back to proper sleep. Then we slept in our bed from 7am to 8.30am as dh had gone to work, i love this part of motherhood, don't you! i love it how she needs me and wants me and i can settle her when no one else can. it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Getting ready for this trip is taking up all of my spare time. I've also been organising a photo board for F-I-Ls 60th birthday which is today - very time consuming. I used TEDS online to order prints last night then went and picked them up today - so easy and 16c cheaper per photo than if you go instore. they will deliver the photo's too if you want too. getting my haircut tonight - yay! sister is coming here - i'm cooking dinner she's cutting hair - fair deal!

Richelle - bummer about chicken pox. hope it clears up soon.

Karina - yay on long sleep. yep, the only downside of longer sleeps is painful full boobies! Wow, that is great that claire rolled - you must be so proud. that bbq idea sounds good. one mum in our group doesn't have a partner, do you think she would feels funny if we did that too? I would definitely be sorting that behaviour out in your DH now! I understand (although don't agree) that some dads won't change nappies but to purposely leave a dirty nappy on - that's horrible. ask him if he would like to sit in his poo!

Sarah - what lines are you selling already? got my BBH the other day - haven't tried them yet though.

Sonia - CONGRATULATIONS!!! love the photo's. we really want to get some done too.

Bec - hope your cold clears up. hope the meeting is ok.

    Oops, someones awake...
