Hee Hee, I'm the first one!! Just wanted to say link to photo's should be working again. It will take you to some photo's then if you want more (of course you do!), click on sets and you'll get the rest. It was the only way that I could allow access after I made the photo's private.

Caro wow sounds like a busy day you had. Its good to get everything done though isnt it? Yay that the losec seems to be working. Must be a huge relief for you (and M) Michaels so cute, the picture of his massive hat on his tiny head is sweet. I like your Noahs ark thing, that is cool.

Natty yay that youre back! TJ is sooo cute.

Rachel, I also had a sticky at your new pictures. sooo cute. i love the one of her looking at you after being born.

Well I went out almost all day today. Went to the shops to get a bday pressie for DH. Spent soo much time sitting down feeding Claire. She just constantly wanted booby. I saw someone there too in the parents room - who looked so familiar but I just couldnt remember who they are or where I know them from. Its still annoying me because I am still trying to work out why I know this person. I know I know this person, I just dont know who they are! my stupid brain

Does anyone else find their pram is too wide to fit into shops? I wanted to go into a shop which has those gates at the front (you know, the ones that beep if you walk out without paying) and I couldnt get my pram in through them. Do I just have a huge pram or do others find this is a problem too?

I've decided, I dont want to go back to work. I will miss Claire way too much. I miss her when I go out for an hour and leave her at home with hubby. how am I going to go away from her all day?

ok well thats all, I'll stop boring you all with my natter.

Caro, Tate used to make that noise, but he didnt seem to be in pain, just awake and making lots of wierd, loud noises! A friend with 3 boys told me when hers were babies they made that sound when they were full and uncomfortable. Poor Michael, I hope he starts feeling better.

Well Tate has kept me on my toes the past few nights. Maybe it is a growth spurt, but he is feeding every 4 hours at night. Not much fun. It might be because he had his shots on Monday, lets hope it doesnt last long.

Other than that we are all very well!

    Hi all,

you girls have been busy chatting!

Caro, S used to make that noise. Didn't seem to be when he was in pain, I don't know what it was really but he doesn't do it as much anymore, so perhaps it will go away with Michael as well. I have to go for my pap soon too... ugh.

Karina, I so don't want to go back to work. I really want to just stay home while S is small, and look after him plus any other babies we might have. Unfortunately I've got 10 weeks' work I've committed myself to in about 6 weeks' time... and I'm really not looking forward to it! I have to kind of change my attitude towards it, because it's going to happen now, and if I dread it then it will just make it worse. Luckily with teaching I do get to finish early some days and I can bring work home with me, but still, you know? I hate the idea of S being in daycare. Luckily M is fine with me being a SAHM, so once I finish this round of teaching I can do it, yay! Next year I'll possibly do a day a week of relief or something, we'll just see what happens.

Nat, isn't it funny how when the internet is down you kind of feel a bit disconnected? We had that about a month ago, and I really noticed it.

Jessica, glad to hear Tate is doing well apart from the extra feeds. S feeds every three hours, most nights!! He fed and slept a lot more after his shots as well.

Met Mum in the city yesterday and we went shopping for some clothes for me, I really needed some shoes and a new bra, also got a nursing singlet which is great because I can wear it to bed and I don't have to get up and get dressed to feed S (I just usually wear a bra and knickers to bed or I get too hot, but it's getting a bit nippy to be sitting around in my underwear nowadays!!) It was great for Mum to spend some time with her grandson, and also to be able to try stuff on without having to worry about taking S into the changerooms with me or anything. Still need to get some new jeans but that can wait a while.

Well, I'd better get some housework done I guess while I've got some quiet - S is having his long morning nap so it's my chance to actually do things!

    Hi Everyone
Kaiden is going really well. Feeding every 2hrs sometimes 3hrs and then sleeping from 9.00pm-7am so pretty lucky in getting some sleep thank god. I am still giving him Infacol which is helping him with burping. I am feeding for only 10 minutes so he is getting enough to see him through and not throwing up as much thank god, i was doing so much washing, he still has a bit of reflux but it isnt too bad to put him on Losec.

With me, i am going for a job interview on friday at a legal firm for a 20hr week thats all i want to do, my current work wont do part time plus its in the city and i want something close to home so i can come home if need. We need the money we sooooooo need money so i dont have a choice really..but personally I am actually looking forward to some time out for myself and for the grand parents to start looking after K for the two days i am at work, i dont want him to hang on to me later on when he is older and chuck a tantrum if i need to leave him for a few hours with the grandparents or my brother or anyone for that fact.

I have organised K's christening for August, need to find him a little outfit .. very exciting.

Bec, YAY for shopping.. I want to go shopping just cant afford it thats the only problem, i have a gift voucher for myer $200 but i am holding on to that cause one its gone thats it... no more. I know one day i hve to use it before it expires. hehehe

Caro: big day for you love.. K got his needles at the same time, i didnt cry, thought i would though, he was ok after his feed.

Karina: - my pram is a four wheeler and fits through its quite narrow and long, i have the steelcraft enigma.

Jessica: I hope the 4hrly feeds stop soon for you at night, so you can get some sleep.

Sarah: - Im glad you are working things out with DH..

Nat: - YAY for coming back online.

    Rachel & Nat: Great piccies.

K is loving his swimming classes, my mum and Nan came with me and took some nice photos.

I gotta to go and do Marks book work, way behind .

Sasha, i suppose going back to work for a short time will give you the chance to decide if you want to go back permanently or not. I am hoping to go back part time only if I go back at all. If thats not going to work, I'll look at applying for part time work elsewhere.

    Sonia,
so jealous with the long sleeps! Claire wakes every 2 - 3 hours overnight. Good luck for your job interview! Thats pretty crappy that your current work wont let you do part time.

Claire has been so feral today and last night!! She screamed for like 4 hours almost today. Finally asleep now. I hope she has a nice big rest. She was so tired

Its DH's birthday tomorrow. We are going to go out for dinner and my mum and stepdad are coming over to watch Claire for an hour or two while we're out. First time she'll be left with someone else! Have to make sure enough ebm for her...

    take care !

    Hi all...
Having a hard couple of days with Kailee, she is a fair bit grumpier than normal and has suddenly got to be a lot spewier than normal, I am going through 2 bibs and cloth nappies a feed. I'm not sure if its because she still isn't over her cold or what. She has got bright red cheeks at the moment and showing the signs of teething so I'm wondering if maybe that could be half the problem.

We are playing a bit of a waiting game with her at the moment as my nephew and stepmum have both come down with chicken pox a week after seeing her, hence they were contagious when seeing her. Hopefully in the 3 weeks I BF she got enough protection off me that she should be ok, but the next 2 weeks will tell.

Karina - I have that problem with my pram too and its a normal 4 wheeler! Its always a task with coles trying to find a checkout that we will fit through when we line up to pay.

Caro - Kailee makes that noise too and we found that she had a bit of mucous build up (before getting the cold) the chemist recommended that I try the Demazin infant mixture as that can help to dry it up. She has been coughing up and spitting out bits of mucous and she isn't choking on it as much anymore, so hopefully once she is over the cold it will have solved that. I also take her into the bathroom in her rocker when I am having a really hot shower so the steamy air can help too.

    Well time for another feed...

Karina - how much EBM do you give Claire for a feed. in my book it says for 8-12 week old : -150ml per kg and then by the number of feeds? but i dont know if im doing i right because i am giving Kaiden about 180mls per feed of EBM. In the book it works out to be 120ml which i think is not enough for him. ??? WIsh ur DH a happy birthday for 2moro. have fun on your dinner. I hope claire has a good sleep for you today, K is an awesome sleeper during the day and night. i have him in the pram at the moment so i can push him when he grizzles he sleeps longer in the pram than in his cot during the day.

I'll bet you were feeling a bit tired after that as well! Did you get a chance to get a rest?

Sonia, good luck for your interview! 20 hours is a good amount of time to work. I'm just worried about my work because it will be 3rd term - very full on for upper school and a bit of a shock after such a long break from teaching. But I'm meeting up with the teacher in the next few weeks so I'll hopefully get organised a bit before I start and I can also bring stuff home so that at least I can work here a bit.

RIchelle, hope Kailee is feeling better soon. S seems to be over his cold mostly although was still a bit snuffly last night.

Wow, I seem to have had such a busy day and we've just stayed home! S has been sleeping really well today which has meant I can get some washing done and finally put some of the clean clothes away. I was hoping to go food shopping too but I think I should probably let sleeping babes lie and I'll go later!

uh oh, did I say sleeping? Spoke too soon!

Sonia, i dont get it (i'm a bit slow)... what do you mean by 150ml per kg? Is that the total she should have in a day or per feed? She weighs 4.5kg, that like 700ml if I am understanding you correctly? way too much for one feed? I have about 400ml in my freezer. I am so confused now.

Bec, i felt like such a zombie, I was soooo tired. She has now been asleep for about 3 hours. Stirring every now and then, but not waking.

Nat – cute pictures. Good to hear from you again.

Karina – I hate it when I know someone but can’t remember who they are, so frustrating. Our pram is fine but we actually looked at that before we got it as we were warned. Hope you enjoy your dinner. Happy birthday to your dh.

Jess – I hope Tate doesn’t keep that up you poor thing.

Bec – yay on the new clothes. I got some new clothes the other day. It was such a pick-me-up.

Sonia – yay for the long night sleep, that is fantastic. Good luck with the job interview. Glad to hear that Kaiden only feeds for 10 minutes, so does grace and was starting to get worried she wasn’t getting enough even though she is fine. Have you got kaiden in swimming classes for small babies? All of the swim schools I know of say 6 months is when they start. My chart says 150-180mls of ebm per feed.

Richelle – I hope kailee doesn’t have chicken pox and settles down soon. Wow teething already!

we had a great night last night. fed at 8.45pm, bath, bed woke at 6.45am. what a good girl! she has been feeding 3-4 hourly during the day as well.

i'm so tired - i think i need to do some exercise. does anyone else feel like this?

Hi everyone... sorry haven't really read all the posts to catch up.. did a really ultra quick scan Trying to wade through emails and stuff... too much right now and Oskar isn't having a happy afternoon. I haven't been too well the past week, hence the absence from humanity and the world... hopefully it's all uphill from now!! Tomorrow we have needles so it could be interesting. I'm hoping for the best though. I'll chat more and catch up when I have a little more time... sorry everyone Hope you are all well.

Wow you guys chat a lot! I lost the thread for a little while but back again now. Ariya has decided to throw me for a six but going down at 8pm and not waking up again :-) Unfortunately she is in a normal terry cloth so she is going to b soaked though and p off when she does wake. Woohoo getting somewhere with my nappy businees, have started my webpage and should be placing my first orders within a month. Discounts for all March babies of course :-)

Ari has a rask all over at the moment, it's tiny red and rasied. It looks uncomfy and I think it's itchy as she is sort of throwing her arms around like she is trying to scratch. Anyone know what this might be. It has been hideously hot up here so maybe heat rash??? But I also thought it might be an allergy as it seems to come up after she has manouved off her rug onto the carpet or we put her on something like our doona????

Caro - Ari went through a few weeks making that grunting throat clearing noise and has stopped now.

Karina - yes my pram is a pain too so I alwaqys take the hug a bub in, I put her in facing out now which she loves. And know what you mean about not wanting to go back to work! So good to hear someone elses baby is not doing those huge stretches at night, I was beginning to think we were the only ones.

Sonia -good luck with the interview. We are having ari's christing in June, check out cooee candles if you want a nice personalised christening candle and let me know if you would be interested ina 00 satin all in one boys christening outfit as I have one for sale (worn once, dry cleaned bought for $80 sell for $50)

sasha - so jealous about your shopping trip! I hate going shopping with DS as he always pulls the change room door open when I'm n the nude :-)

Rachel - so envious of your little angels sleeping :-)

Cass - You are so wonderful!!!! Got a surprise package today, thank you sooooo much!!!!!!!!!!! Ari loves them!

    Karina: - Ok.. hehee.. So
Kaiden is 5.5kg so 150ml x 5.5kg / 7 feeds per day so i got it as 120ml but I am feeding him 180ml as that is the maximum on the book not sure if i am feeding him to much via bottle. He seems content though once finished.

Sarah: - thanks for the offer on the outfit, are you able to send me a photo of it? I think he will be 00 by August, i really not sure on sizing though.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes on the interview.

Hi girls, some of us sound a bit sick at the moment which isn't good. DH has had a cold for the past week and I woke up this morning with a sore throat, so I am expecting to get some kind of virus, not good.

Tate is still feeding 4 hourly at night, bugger. I am feeding him heaps during the day in the hope it will stop his new night routine, and will continue to do this, plus feed him before I go to bed and hopefully he will soon sleep through one of the night feeds. Fingers crossed anyway!

Sonia, I wouldn't worry about too much EBM for Kaiden, it is such liquid gold you could almost never give too much, IYKWIM?! As long as he isn't grumpy afterwards, sounds to me like you are doing the right thing. Tate is just over 6kg's and if I was getting someone to bottle feed him EBM I would prepare atleast 150ml.

    Off to playgroup soon!
