    Hi everyone
Just a couple of questions i was wondering how often do you feed bubs during the day? Hamish is starting to be 3 hourly but sometimes still only lasts 2 later in the day.
Also do you wake them if they have slept a long time to feed them, i was told to wake hamish if he goes longer than 3 hours for a feed but to me that doesnt seem right, for a start sometimes its almost an hour and half after his feed before he goes to sleep therefore he would only get just over an hour sleep before i woke him. I dont see the logic in this as he is putting on enough weight and sleeps ok at night, what are your thoughts on this?
Last one where does your baby sleep? We have Hamish in bassinet in our room and i was thinking i might put him in his own room soon but wonder is it too early? We sometimes let him sleep in bed with us and he sleeps alot better but i dont really want to get in the habit of this as my sister did it with her children and had alot of trouble getting them to sleep in there cot.

Oh i totally enjoyed the 2 hours at the hairdressers yesterday it was heaven, mind you i nearly fell asleep when he was massaging my scalp (lucky he is a friend), i could feel myself drfiting off. My mum babysat hamish for me, she had a great time as he was awake for half of it, and he took the bottle from her, which is great to know if i have to leave him again.
Hope everyone had a good sleep last night.

Jess I've been expressing at around 4am! After six hours I'm quite engorged so Juliette only feeds from one side at that feed, then I go & express the other side. Usually I can manage about 60ml in 10 miutes but have had 100ml once!

Abb, Juliette is feeding every 1.5 - 2 hours, sometimes but rarely it will be 2.5 hours. I was told to wake her if she gets to four hours in the day but I haven't had to just yet. I think the idea is so they learn to have their big block of sleep overnight rather than during the day. Juliette is in her snuggle bed, in the cot in her own room & has been since the day she got home. Her room shares a wall with ours & I don't shut doors so we cnan hear her just fine. During the day she tends to be in the rocker in the loungeroom but I think there's too many distrations for her now as she wakes up often s she'll be in her cot during the day too from now on.

    hi ladies

Great to hear that everyone is going well.

Deancy i am glad that you caught up on your restless sleep the other night its hard sometimes, but it feels great once you catch up on those few extra hours.

jess i was wndering about sassy as well hope that they are ok.

sorry i cant help you with expressing bm i am absolutly hopeless at it, itried with cody but it just hurt and got nearly nothing out of it so i have never bothered since. Lucky i work from home otherwise my babies would be on formula as soon as i had to go back to work.

Abbie has not had anymore power vomits so i think it was just a one time thing.

i can't believe last night i felt a bit low in the bm department so sometimes i give abbie a bottle of formula just to top her up. WEll last night i gave her one at 730 and she slept til 430 this morning i could not believe it but then she woke again at 630 obviously as she was starving fromt the long break between feeds. I wish she was like that everynight.

    Take care

LMK you gotta love that sleep from Abbie. I bet you felt great but how were your boobs? Full I bet

Well I dont wake Liam for a feed ever. He is generally 3-4 hrs during the day with 5 hrs from his dinner feed (between 5-7) then back to 4 hrly. I dont hold him out to 4 hrs but I never wake him to feed. I figure he will wake when he is hungry and I dont want to force feed him.
I have just settled Liam down for sleep he woke for feed at 3, wasnt due till 3.30 (that would have been 4 hrs). He spent an hour and half roughly awake which is plenty I think
    Gotta organise tea
