Things here are going well... Tiahna slept great last night 10.30- 4.30 fed and i put her back in the rocker and she went back to sleep till 8. now she's has a feed, some awake time and couldnt keep her eyes opened when DS wanted a hold so she fell asleep in his arms... He was stoked

Deancey- i want to see that movie also... heard its a great film...

Sarah- hope the day went well and juliette settle with DH ok... Hope she eventually took her bottle... I know how hard it is to get bubs to take a bottle.. I'm still not able to get tiahna to take a bottle still or even a dummy... i thought i's be easy when she took a few bottles but now flat out refuses and can go ages without a feed and still not want it... its so frustrating... but also nice that she loves booby so much.. LOL Its great that the kids stay hime with DH aswell... and your hours are great... it would be reat to work those hours... i need to speak to work about my hours when i go back... i'm thinking of asking if i can do 1/2 days for a few weeks till tiahna gets used to being away from me... also DS will be in school not next yr the yr after so i'm looking at cutting down the day but an hour so i can get back to pick him up... but not looking forward to going back its only 2 days 9-3 but i just cant imagine having to leave her for that long... I'm such a sook..

LOL about expressing in your "boss's " office... that would feel a bit weird having boobs out... i just had thought about me in my boss's office doing the same... worst part is all the offices have glass windows all around... no privacy at all... the kitchen is the only place but the male toilet is located through the kitchen door... hmmmm might have to tell them tough have to wait.. i guess it wouldnt take long to express... just have to make sure no one walks in...

Its quite difficult for me to make meet ups... my DS is so naughty and misbehaves so much its quite embarrasing... i have no control over him ATM... he's going through a bad stage where he refuses to listen and do as he's told... i had a GF over and i was so embarrased, i felt like he was the parent and i was the child.... i'm really at a dead end with him. maybe we could organise a meet up somewhere like the play lands or something... at least he can just be running round burning off energy and not back chatting or yelling at me... (its so aweful to have no control, i feel like a failure, and its not like we dont try to discipline him, or try to work things out with him)

Deancey and sarah- your both so lucky to have your DH's home to watch the kids while your at work. wish my DP could, i'd be a bit less worried. (well maybe not... he's not that godd with them so maybe there best at day care... )

best be off, have washing to do and i need to unpack the dishwasher...

Things are going well here too. Ds has settled down now since being sick, he feeds on average every 3 hours during day and usually 4 to 5 at night. We put him in his cot about a week ago and its working out really well. I put him down awake and he settles himself off to sleep, during the day he is great and at night he usually cries for a few minutes, i usually go in 2 or 3 times to give him his dummy before drifting off to sleep. I still wrap him tightly to go to bed, does everyone else wrap there baby's or do they wear gro bags? I have a gro bag but Hamish sleeps better wrapped.
Sarah i hope Juliette settled for dh in the end, i know its hard leaving them. I have been bak at work since ds was 3 weeks old, i work for my mum and the first few times i took hamish with me and was able to feed etc at work but this week dp looked after him at home giving him a bottle but he takes it fine as he has one every night at home. I only work 2 nights a week and only for 4 hours so he only usually needs one feed.
I went to Mumma Mia friday night with my mum, sis and dd. It was fantastic, best movie i have seen for a long time. Recommend everyone to go see it, i havent laughed like that for ages, i really need it.

Best be off to get some washing done.

Hi ladies....hope you all had a nice weekend.
Lily has been going ok, sleeping occassionaly during the day and quite well at night. She usually goes 4 to 5 hours of a night, except last night.... it was every 3 hours oh well. Lily has been sleeping in a bond suit then a sleeping bag, but she is too big for her bag now. I have another one but it is really big (size 0 to 1) do you think it would be ok for her to sleep in that? She won't take being wrapped... hasn't since she was about 5 weeks old. She will go to sleep but when she slightly wakes and she can't move her arms she struggles and wakes herself up fully....instead of just going back to sleep.
my SIL has just come back from seeing the dark knight and thought it was great. I can not wait to see it.... batman begins is my favourite movie, I love christian bale as batman
I want to see mamma mia too.... I saw sex and the city about 2 weeks ago and it was so good.... i laughed and cried so hard! Its great that there are so many good movies at the moment.... a movie and maybe dinner is about as long as I can stand being away! LOL
good on you for expressing at work sarah.... I am going to have to find somewhere to do that too. I go back to work in October for 5 days each fortnight and there is nowhere to express as all the office have windows with no blinds! I figure there is our telecommunications room has only one small window so I will do it there and put up a wrap or something... I have been trying to express a little bit after each feed to ensure there is always one feed in the fridge for DH and I have now got some in the freezer for when I go back.

I got great news on friday too. I was on a waiting list for reading time at the library (for newborns up to 12 months) and we got into sessions in October. Unfortunately for me it is on a monday which is one of the days that I work. But DH told me he is very keen to take Lily, so they will go to the library for the 12pm class each monday for 4 weeks and then have lunch with me on the way home. And hopefully i will be able to feed her then too

    oh dear lily is up....
    bye for now

Abb- great to hear DS is doing well now and GREAT on him sleeping in his cot, i havent even tried with tiahna... she's been sleeping so well in the rocker i'd hate to unsettle her sleeping... SHe was FANTASTIC last night. slept from 10-7 this morning... i feel GREAT.. (dont mean to rub it in sorry) i never had this luxury with my DS he would only sleep 2 hours at a time during the night and 2 hours awake before he'd go back to sleep... he was never a sleepy baby after the first 3 days. even now he's up at the latest 7.30am and can still be awake at 11-12 at night... he just doesnt get tired... if i put him to sleep earlier he's up at 3-4am.

I still wrap Tiahna but she hates her arms in so i just wrap like the elbows tucked in and that way if she wakes and pulls them they easily come out- otherwise she gets grumpy and fights the blanket. The reason we havent tried the cot also is that her room is FREEZING at night. which is why she wont sleep in our room either... we have an oil heater but she still loves the lounge room with the gas heater going... (its costing a fortune but so worth it for the sleep.) also WOW at being back at work since ds was 3 weeks old.. thats awesome strength you have. i must sound like i big sook not wanting to go back in dec.

Tiahna has been wanting more and moore feeds... i guess my supply needs to catch up to her once again... she had a bad period of screaming last night i ended up having to hold her tightly against my chest patt her butt and hold her hands down as she gets so tired (well overtired) and screams till she's blue and always fussing and rubbing at her face... its so distressing to see she scratches and practically gouges (spl) her eyes out. but once asleep i'm so stressed and upset the long sleep is just what i need.

Is it normal for her to sleep so long without a feed??? she still sleeps during the day (less and less everyday) still has a few 2-3 hour sleeps.

Jess - thats fantastic tiahna is sleeping so well for you, my dd slept from 10 til 7 from 6 weeks old, she was a great baby. Maybe its a girl thing lol. Hamish woke twice last night 2 and 6.15, he is still sleeping now. I still wrap him tightly as he is all arms atm, but i thought i might try not wrapping him for his morning sleep today to see how he goes, i was given 2 grobags and have not used them as yet. He loves sleeping in his cot, we have a bed in his room aswell so i start off sleeping in my room and when he wakes for a feed i usually feed him in his room and often sleep in there awaiting the next feed so i dont wake dp or dd. I also find it hard to go back to sleep in my room if dp is snoring.lol Ikwym about the heating costing a fortune, we have central heating and i usually leave it on all night or swirch it on during the night, but as you said it is worth it. You are not a sook with the work thing, i have the luxury of working for family, which means i can take ds with me if i want, i did this every time except for saturday night as dp offered to look after him, i did get more done without having him there. I think dp felt more comfortable from looking after him friday night when i went to movies which is fantastic as i never had the help with dd's father.

    Hi Ladies

Well Liam has been doing really well. He is sleeping ok overnight between 4-6 hrs but nothing constant it varies each night. He is self settling pretty well during the day also which I am pleased about as DS#1 wasnt very good at that.
I started to feel sick last night, sore throat and ears and aching body. Each time I woke up to feed Liam my left boob was engorged????? This morning I fed him off it 1st and then expressed another 100 ml out of it to ease the pain. His poo has also turned a more thick green ( sorry TMI ) so I am not sure if he isnt feeling too well either?
Apart from that all is good.

Abb thats excellent that you can take Hamish into work with you it must make life a lot easier.
Jess I am so envious of Tiahnas fantastic sleeps. I cant wait for Liam to decide he can last the entire night without his boobs.
Alicia you can get cheap sleeping bags from best and less they are about $15 and they also have the hole for the seat belt so you can keep bubs in the sleeping bag when putting them into car. I would think size 0 would be too big and she may get tangled in it during the night?

Hope all bubs are doing well. We are off to get needles this afternoon so will let you know how that goes..... OH i hate getting them done.
