Morning
Just a quick post Hamish slept from 9.30pm to 6.45am this morning:dance:, i know alot of you have babies that have been sleeping all night for awhile but this is a first for ds so i just had to post. I hope he keeps it up, well atleast for tonight as tomorrow is his Baptism and i would love him and me ofcourse to have a full nights sleep again.
Best be off need to tidy house, have alot of visitors this weekend due to baptism. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Abb congrats on the sleep thru thats awesome news.
Jess Keep perservering with the bottle it will be worth it in the end when you can leave Tiahna and know she will feed if you are not there.
Well Liam slept from 6.30 to 3.30 last night, I was mega impressed. 9 hrs is our best yet. So I think I will try dream feeding him again at abour 11 and see if I can get him thru to 7am..... that would be perfect
Well my friend had her baby on thursday, Ethan RObert, 10 pound 6 ( a big boy although he still looks tiny) Cant wait for the 2 boys to be able to play together and with Jordan will be lots of fun

ok so i am totally freakin out. AF is late. i have been sick for a week and lost just over 5kgs so i am hoping that AF is late because of that.
Jayda was a little ***** last night. she was hungry but she wouldnt eat. took us over a hr to finally get her to take a bottle and go to bed and in the end she would only take teh bottle from DH. mondays r so good for me, she goes to daycare at my mums place so i get a bit of a break. it makes a huge dif without her.
Abb: yay on the sleeping through. jayda has done it a few times here and there but usually wakes between 2 and 430 for a bottle then that lasts her till about 730.
i just noticed mine and deancy's tickers. they say 2months and 4 weeks ... jayda is ment to be 3 months today i guess it is the same thingbut i dont know y the ticker has gone like that.
Sassy - Omg are you thinking you might be preg again:D? We are not using any contraception atm but not totally sure i want to have another one, I cant take the pill as i get migraines and have had implanon implant before and it was horrible (long story), thinking maybe of getting merina put in but need to ask doctor if it will have same side effects as implanon. My ticker is wrong also as it shoud say 2 months 3 weeks and 3 days, not sure what is the go with them.
We had Hamish's Baptism yesterday and he was such a good boy:dance:, Satuday night he slept all night and woke at 8am i fed and bathed him, dressed him in his outfit and we headed to the church at 10am, he fell asleep in the car and slept right through the mass and only woke when the minister was pouring the water on his head. I fed him in the car after church before heading out for lunch with family and friends. He slept in the pram whilst we had lunch and woke up extremely happy for cuddles and photos with everyone. I was so proud of him and he was definetly the cutest baby being baptised.lol i am biased i know. We have had a fantastic weekend and for three nights he has slept all night and i cant believe how good it feels to finally get some sleep again, and i know that it is more than likely he will start waking up again through the night so i will just enjoy every moment of sleep i can. I love this age, Hamish is starting to mimmick noise etc and giggles and talks all the time it is so gorgeous. I am enjoying him so much atm, i didnt have the best relationship with dd father and it was a struggle when she was a baby so i feel like i didnt get the opportunity to cherish her as a baby, makes me sad when i think back now. I see her with Hamish and how much she loves him and often tells him he is so special and i love you to him all the time, i need to tell her more often how special she is too as i feel i never did it enough when she was younger. Oh i best be off getting all teary now.
Abb i am so pleased that Hamish's christening went well and yeah on getting full night sleeps again. I am sure your DD knows you love her lots.
Sassy If you are unsure if you are preg take a test to put your mind at ease. You may find it will be irreglar though for a while. Mine was when it eventually came back after DS#1 my 1st cycle was 41 days.... I was excited at the thought of being preg again but it took a while for cycle to regulate.
Well Liam is doing well in the feeding dept again. He is going 4-5 hrs during the day and 6-9 at time ( nothing consistant overnight) I am however feeding him between 6-7am in the morning which is perfect for going back to work so I am working hard to keep him on this feed cycle.
I am looking forward to returning to work and catching up with all the people at work. I am not looking forward to the expressing though but I did it for DS#1 so will do it again.
DH has taken the boys to the airport as my parents are leaving for europe today. He is taking them as Jordan loves planes and DH mate is also leaving for europe ( on same flight as my parents ) and she hasnt seen Liam yet so he has taken him to show him off.
I have house to myself for a few hours NICE...... get to chill and watch some more olympics.

It has been a while since I have posted, too much to catch up on personals, I hope all the bubba's are doing well and not giving you all too much greif...
We have been great, DH got 10days off work so went away for 7nights, it was just wonderful, we went to Bargara lovely little sleepy seaside town near Bundaberg, it was just spectacular the days were clear and it was not too cold I could have moved there. We also visited alot of family and freinds. It is nice to be home though, there is no place like home. Zali travelled so well, she was a little gem. On the 4hr drive to Bargara she slept most of the way and we only had to stop twice for a feed and burp break.
Zali is now 13 weeks old and weighs 7.9kg, not sure on the length but she seems to be very long and her pants are becoming ankle freezers. We are bottle feeding during the day and BF Morning and night so I can keep this up when I go back to work, it is going well.
I still have not had a period since Zali was born, enjoying it, but hoping I am not Pregnant, I did a pee test this morning and it was clear but freaking myself out as I have only been BF twice a day and still no period!!! There is no way I could handle another baby this soon. Just really enjoying the one we have.
I go back to work on the 1st of Sep, mixed emotions about this. So excited to get some mental stimulation but really going to miss how cute she is getting and her smiley face.
I hope everyone else is going well and I will try to get on here more often to catch up.

Deancey- WOW on ur friends 10 pounder... i start to ache thinking bout that... lol Also YAY liam on the sleep also... I have been meaning to keep up the bottle trying but its just so much easier to just pop her on the boob... and i enjoy the feeding so much...
my MIL is so negative with the BFing. she's always asking DP "is Jess still breaskfeeding???" like dah why would i stop... It *****s me.... just wish she would keep it shut... She was whinging to dp wheni was sick and Tiahna was off colour and had the tummy bug also... DP told her i had the bug and Tiahna had it also... and she was like well y is she still bfing her then??? DP said Tiahna wont take a bottle and her reply was u and ur brother took bottles its not that hard. like WTF... GRRRRRRR\
Sass- how would u feel if u were UTD again??? Just be glad ur not like me and getting AF every 2 weeks. AF takes a while to get back on track... with my DS i BF till 3 months and didnt get AF till i started sub feeding and he wasnt feeding through the night... this time i've had AF on and off since 7 weeks. its normal for your body to still be adjusting and with all the things its been through it could just take some time... If your really worried do a HP test.... if you want to know... lol I'm on the mini but its not doing much... AF every 2 weeks sucks DP is getting annoyed as it doesnt leave much time for DTD... i didnt want to go back on the pill after the fertility issues but DP hates condoms (TMI SORRY) i want more kids but want a lkittle bigger gap if i can... that said if it happened i'd be ok with it,..... we'd find room in the house... lol
I had friday with out DS and DP, Tiahna and i had a great day... she slept well during the day (and been bad the last few nights since) its great to have some 1 on 1 time with her. Iits hard to spread the time between everything and everyone... like the house work, bubs, 3 1/2 yr old, DP and well me if there is ever time. i begged DP today to watch her so i could get my eye brows done.... i was starting to look like Agro...lol
opps better go... Tishns woke up screaming... poor thing must of had a nitemare

Jess: i would be freaked out if i was preg again.
well i dont know if bub is gettin sick or wat. she wont drink much of her bottles and from 6 till bedtime it is a scream match and she wont go to bed without a fight. been like this the last 2 nights. she was just gettin into a really good routine and its gone :(
i started the cohens diet yesterday. it is smashing me sooooooooo bad. i hope i loose the weight fast so i can go back to normal. i decided i need to take action. i had no clothes that fitted we was still puttin on weight and my knees get really sore when i put on too much weight. i was 70kg b4 i got preg and last week i was up to 98kg.

My name is Bec, I had our first baby - boy - named Cameron on 29th May. He was 2.72kg (6pound) when born, however he is growing so fast (was 5kg at last weigh in 2 weeks ago, will see how big his this arvo).
Cameron has been a good sleeper during the night. Although it took a few weeks to teach him day/night. We had been feeding him about 5 - 5.30, bathing, then massage then bed, he started sleeping through til 2.30ish from week 4. That worked well, as I was so tired at night, I'd go to bed at 7.30pm (DH also goes to bed early as he gets up about 4-4.30am for work). But for the week or so, arvo feeds have been a little out of wack, so had fed Cam at 3.30-4, he then has some playtime with DH, a little sleep, then I wake him about 7-7.30 for another feed, and so far he has been sleeping through til 5 - 6.30ish. Then he usually sleeps another 2-3hrs, which is great for extra catch up sleep or house work.
We started going to a parent class about 4 weeks ago - it has helped alot, especially the first class which was about sleep. Cameron was being very difficult during the day, crying and being grizzly. There was a video on recognising the tired signs, before they burst into tears (eg disinterested in playing, clenched fists, throwing there head and arms around - often almost knocking me out etc), and since then once i see these tired signs - i put him into his cot - he usually falls asleep immediately.
Abb - did it give you a fright the first night he slept through. I know when Cameron first started sleeping longer at night, i'd wake up, realise the time and have to go into his room to make sure all was ok. It's nice to get the 7-8hr sleep in 1 hit hey.
Sassy- I wonder if the ticker goes by the birth day for the month (like Cameron will be 3months on the 29th August). How's Jayda going with feeding today? Cameron was being fussy feeding last week also, but I think he had a sore throat - he has been rather croaky and it seemed rather sore to cry (which didn't stop him screaming while trying to feed last week)
Jess - sorry about your negative MIL. My MIL and FIL bug me with the things they say and do too. Mine only live about 15-20mins away, but luckly they don't visit much (which funny enough kinda bugs me, as they keep making comments about when are they going to see Cameron again, and we say - well you know where we live). Also hear you on the contraception thing. I too had fertility issues, so if i was accidently to fall pregnant it wouldn't be a bad thing (but would also prefer a bigger age gap).
Well, I think I've babbled enough (sorry I tend to do long posts). Better go do some house work while Cam's still sleeping.

Welcome Bec!
I've only got a minute, so this will be short (ha! whatever!). Got so much work to do, it's ridiculous. My computer spazzed on me and I lost hours of work I'd just finished for a client, and I've been going crazy trying to re-do it all, along with visiting house inspections and Aadi deciding to be a naughty boy and scream uncontrollably for NO reason every time I go into a supermarket or public place! He shrieked for ages on Sunday (with tears and everything), and just would not sleep all day until 5 with DP holding him so I wouldn't cry too, then he was awake every 3 hours for a feed until the next morning. He went straight back to sleep after each feed, and he has hardly chucked at all, so I guess that's the pay-off... he's back to "normal" now, but is self-settling after just a bit of a whinge, so that's a real achievement, I think. Had to get thru a rough day to get to this.
We had our 12-week visit to the MCH nurse on Friday, and he's now 6.5kg and 62cm long. The nurse warned me I'm going to have my hands full with this boy because he's so active and alert already, and just wants to rock and roll. He's started rolling over by himself when we play and have tummy time, holds his head up all the time, and he just wants to shout and have loud "conversations"! Good thing we got approved for a house, so we can move out of this apartment building and stop driving the neighbours nuts! (Oh, and so I can stop having to put up with the garbage chute being next to our bedroom and never getting any rest, and the stink! oh what a terrible stink! SO fed up with lobbying the real estate, body corporate, consumer affairs etc...) Chances are he'll be running around and getting up to mischief before I know it, and that's not safe in our cluttered little space here.
Anyway, no AF here (thank goodness!) and I don't expect it any time soon coz I'm BF so often. I think it would be a huge freak-out if I were to get pg again so soon.
Sassy - sounds like you need to take care of yourself, you've been sick and a bit stressed lately from the sounds of things. I reckon "diet" is a dirty word! Be good to yourself, yeah?
Jess - your MIL doesn't have much of a clue about being tactful, does she?? Excuse me for being blunt, but that's just plain stupid. If only there was a subtle way of telling people that their ignorance isn't helpful. Great that you got some one-on-one time with Tiahna, though, and a moment to get something done for yourself too. It doesn't take much to make you feel a whole lot better, so I hope you get that chance to recharge your batteries more often!
Mecil - oooh, lovely! Your little holiday must have been gorgeous. It's nice up at Bargara (I'm from the Sunshine Coast originally), and it sounds like Zali is just so well behaved. Good for you!
deancey - I bet you enjoyed your "me-time" at home by yourself.
Abb - congrats on Hamish's baptism! Sounds perfect. And great sleep too! way to go!

Sass- well i guess its YAY :cheer: AF arrived... lol i remember when we were going through TTC and it was tears from AF's arrival... lol Maybe the colic is back??? Its supposed to be the bad period for colic. Tiahna has been off also but sleeping at wrong times. She's falling asleep at like5.30-6pm and waking up 1-2 times a night. i guess so many things happening that there getting all muddled up again... Just when u think things are all good and you have them sorted they gp ahead and change things... Hang in there i'm sure its just a fussy stage... Things will improve (if only to get another bad period again... :rolleyes:)
Also what is the cohens diet??? never heard of it... IKWUM thou..... i have exploded also... i thought Bfeeding was supposed to help the weight loss.... :rolleyes: Oh well... I have my treadmill in the loungeroom but honestly havent had much time to clean the house let alone go for a walk on there. Tiahna is such a clingy baby... Jordan is being so naughty i'm losing my mind. DP is on night shift so days are so hard ATM... cant do anytyhing i want to as it wakes him up.
FYI.... Tiahna has just rolled over.... She did roll over few weeks ago but nothing since i bragged in the other thread (may1-15).... :redface: she goes back to belly but cries when she gets on her belly. :cryinglaugh: She's been moving roung like a worm, she moves up and round in a circle by using her feet... also kicks her legs and feet to make the play gym move. she's learning to hold things very quickly.... Giggling and talking so much now. i just love it... DP has a special moment today... he got her out of bed (he's ususlly sleeping from getting hom an few hours before she wakes.) she was talking, blowing raspberries, smacking her lips together like kisses and giggling... he was like "babe look at her, can u hear her" I think he's really loving having a little girl.
Bec7- Congrats our bubbas share the same b'day... and welcome... sounds liek Cam is doing great... YAY on the parenting classes. Glad there helping out... My MIL is like 10 mins away also... she said to DP the otherday... can you send me a pic cos Tiahna will be 7 before i see her again. i was like Yeah blah blah blah... so sick of it... like i have enough to deal with without her *****. lol... She's always *****ing about something were doing wrong... Spending money on crap... just cos she thinks its crap it must be... or DP never comes over to help her out (like the lawns etc) she pays a guy to come andDP gets a few days a month off and when he's not mowing out lawns theres other things he's doing... She hates dogs and complains about our 2, anyways best stop... or i'll keep going all day... lol
Mecil- sorry we must have posted same time before ... How many days are u working??? I'm dreading it too any i'm not returning till dec. 2 days... ARGGGHHHHHH :bitenails: My biggest fear is missing her first step or something special like that... Cos she'll be in care i'd hate to pick her up and them say "she took 2 steps today or "she said ......" :(
NaNa- yay on the house approval :cheer: Glad things are back to normal now... It suck when you get sorted out and they decided to change things... lol And Yay on the progress... jess: cohens is a diet where u get a blood test done and they suit the diet to ur body, like ur hormones and stuff. it is pretty crazy not much food but i wanna be healthy so i can run around wit bubs at the mo i have no energry and i am just a blob lol.
Dont know about the colic it doesnt seem to be that but it might be. Its like she is just gettin a attitude with me lol. i guess if she is hungry she will drink. she drives me crazy when she doesnt drink i worry so much that she will start loosing weight.
I hear u on the MIL thing too. i am so over the inlaws at the mo. They came ad seen jayda mins after she was born for about 10min then never came back to the hosp and have never been here to see her. we have to run around after them when we both work full time and none of the IL's work at all. and since SIL's baby has been born they have been to see her everyday or 2 times a day in hosp and everyday at home buy her all this stuff.
Bec7: welcome. jayda is still not drinking prop. been 3 days now. she doesnt seem to be sick or anything well not anything that i can notice.
nana: yeah the "diet" is more a healthy eating plan hahahaha doesnt sound so bad that way. i know i am a bit crazy seem to take way too many things on at a time.
jayda rolled over once last week too but hasnt done it since. she is starting to notice that she can do things with her hands now she tries to reach out for things but her perspective is a little off or something she doesnt seem to grab at the right point. she also looks at her hands and plays with them puling at each hand.
I cant get her to sleep int he porta cot of a day when i am working. i tried her in the big cot when i am not working and she wont go in that either. she sleeps fine in it of a night. of a day i can only get her to sleep on my chest or in th swing. i dont want her to get too used to sleeping in the swing because she has nearly grown out of it. She can be dead asleep and as soon as i put her into that cot she wakes and screams. yesterday i got her in for 5min b4 she realised. Maybe just keep trying and trying ? how long should i let her cry b4 picking her up. it seems like she just knows that the cot is the place to cry of a day. i even put her snuggle bed in and she still doesnt want anything to do with it.
DH is off work sick now. bloody men think they r dying when they r sick but we still have to soldier on. nah i have to admit wat ever he has, has his him really hard. we seem to be taking it in turns being sick the last few weeks.

Well i think i got excited about the sleeping all night to soon, we had three full nights sleep but the last two nights it been back to normal waking around 4 for a feed, but oh well its not too bad, but ofcourse would prefer he slept all night. We had such a big weekend with visitors, baptism etc i am a little exhausted atm but might see if i can get a nana nap sometime today. Dp works for the local news paper here and they are doing an article on first time dads so guess who will be in the paper next week, I have to take Hamish in today and they are taking some pictures of Dp and him for the article. They interviewed him yesterday about what its like to be a dad for the first time etc, it will be interesting to read what he had to say. If i can i will try and post a link to the article next week.
Sassy - i know what you mean about the routine, ours seems to have gone away also, feeding times are everywhere at the moment. Good for you trying the cohens i have heard its excellent, i just cant stop eating.
Jess - Tiahna is developing well, its so exciting when they roll etc, Hamish is lazy, he flaps his arms and legs but usually just lays there. Its weird my dd did everything early, she walked at 9 months (way to early), hamish is very different.
NaNa - lol short your posts never are... Congrats on the approval for a house, you wont know yourself after living in apartments. I know how frustrating it is when your computer has a spazz, mine did the same last week when i was doing end of financial year stuff, i thought id lost the data file i saved earlier during the day, but thankfully i saved it on usb stick aswell.
Bec - welcome, good to hear your dd is doing well. the first night hamish slept i was ok but the second night he slept from 9 til 8am and we did also so it was a huge shock, we went into his room together stood in door way for a minute to make sure he was ok, i dont think i took a breathe until i heard a noise coming from his cot.
Mecil - Oh a holiday how nice it would be, good on you for doing it before you start work again, how many days are you working? Zali is doing very well with the weight gane, well done.
Deancey - how did the alone time go? I had a chat to dd yesterday as i was feeling guilty, she made me feel like a great mum. When do you start work?

Sass - i just read your other post about jayda not drinking much at all, we have had one day here and there like that but he usually makes up for it the next day but being it is 3 days i think maybe you should see someone about it, could she be getting teeth and her gums are sore? I know i am not much help, i would maybe ring your mchn see if she can have a look at her. Sorry i havent helped you much. :hug: I hope she improves for you it is hard when you dont know what the problem is.

Good to hear the everyones bubs are sleeping well, abbie is still a good sleeper. Lachlan and abbie are both asleep at the moment, i think its the first time they have both been asleep at the same time since she was born. Weired i should try it more often. I like having abbie awake when lachie is a sleep so i can have some one on one time with her and the oppsoite when she is asleep. but i did not realise how nice it is for them both to be asleep and cody is at kindy!!!!
I really need to get abbie baptised, we did not baptise lachie as we were waiting to have abbie and then do them both together. I am thinking of doing it in the begining of january.
Well abbie is nearly rolling over she gets right up onto her side its so exciting but a bit sad too. I hope that she waits a bit longer then lachlan he was crawling at 5 months and then he was walking at 10 months. I think its a bit to early i would liike for abbie to wait a bit longer.
Sassy i can't believe you thought you were pregnant again, i would have been stressing too.
Jess how excitning that tiahna is rolling over well done.

Sass- Oh ok, never heard of that one but have something similar in our area. But it costs a fortune. IKWUM about Men thinking there dying when there sick or something is wrong with them... MY DP has had a tooth ache and is the end of the world (i know tooth aches are bad but its like when its him its 100 x worse then if it was me) Tiahna wont sleep in the cot either. She lasts all of 5 mins if that- mostly she wakes when i put her in. she just lasted 3 mins and started screaming when she realised where she was. :rolleyes: I;d let her keep crying for a while but with DP sleeping during the day i have my hands tied at the mo... We started the controlled crying. depends on the type of cry... if she just sooking then we leave her there for it started at up to 10 mins... Killed me.... If she's screaming or crying bad i'll go in... you know how you can tell the difference in cries. If she's too upset i know we wont get anywhere. now at night were down to 3 mins of crying and she's sound asleep.
Abb- Tiahna has been sleeping through for weeks now and the last few nights have been hell on me... i'm so used to getting a full night that it kills me to wake up and feed her. last night i layed her down on the bed and popped the boob out and she fed and went to sleep but my other boob leaked evrywhere... dont think it like me laying down to feed... lol i was soaked. Also YAy on the article... i bet u cant wait to read what he said...
LMK_ YAy on having both the kids sleeping... wish Jordan would sleep for me... no day sleeps kill me with him... he's so full on...

Well we had a good night, a full nights sleep again 10pm to 7.30, i just wish i slept, seemed to toss and turn all night, then woke up with AF (grrr) i wasnt expecting to get them so early. Hamish had his first shower with Dp this morning he loved it, i was suprised as dd use to hate the shower. Im glad he likes it because sometimes it is easier to give them a quick shower expecially when he wets through everything.
Jess if i feed during the night i always lay down to feed, its just easier for me.
Ok best be off to do some cleaning etc have 3 days work in a row starting tonight so i need to get organised.
JESS: i know wat u mean about the dif cries. if she is full on crying i dont leave her cause it just makes her more upset and is unsettled longer.
Jayda sleeps in teh cot perfect of a night it is just during the day. most of the time the only good sleeps she will have r on my chest but when ur looking after 4 other kids this isnt always convinient.
LMK: yes it was crazy thinkin i could be preg again. i really dont knwo how anyone could do it so close i was a wreck for 3 days and when it finally came i was soooooooooo happy lol.
i am so regretting coming back to work so soon. i dont knwo if i am just having a bad week or wat but i dont wanna work at all and the thought of being in this job for a few more yrs upsets me.
i think it is cause i have just had to start back at 7am. but at the end of the yr when the 2 oldest go to skool i am not goign to start any earlier then 8 and make sure i am finished by 430.
it is the perfect job i am home with my bubba and it is pretty good money so i know i will stay with it there is no way i can afford to stay home and if i found another job by the time i put jayda into daycare and then petrol it wouldnt be worth it.
oh jaydas feeding is slowly gettin better. she has stopped refusing the bottle now but she is still only drinking about half. i have only been making up 90mls at a time cause this formula is too expensive to waste half a bottle each time. i hope she was just sick and she will get back up to her normal feeds soon. im going to take her to baby clinic tomorrow make sure she is still puttin on weight and se wat they think.

Weighed her yesterday & she is 7.35kg, it's funny cos my friend's son is 7 months (he was 8 weeks prem) and he is 7.4kg!!! She's a chubster!

Sarah H... WOW Juliette must be loving mummies milk... She may be a chubber but at least she's happy and healthy... My son was always a chubber untill he started to move round. Then the baby fat just fell off...
I Did the shopping today, used the baby carrier instead of the sling... (more lower back support) Tiahna slept the whole time. She lasted the whole time and only woke up when i took her out and put her in the car. Came home she was playing for a bit i fed her had more play time for about an hour Now she's been asleep for an hour and a half.. her best day sleep ever and not being held or in the sling.
Sass- I'm thinking of telling work i need more time... DOnt know how ur doing it already... I'm struggling with my 2 let alone other ppls kids. Good to hear Jayda is feeding better...
Abb- i'm still too chicken to take DD in the shower... She hates the bath since i stopped the daily baths... Now were doing it every few days and she screams the house down... She arches her bach kicks and i'm worried she'll do the same in the shower. I'm regretting cutting the baths down now as she used to really enjoy them, hopefully its just a faze.
Is anyone else's bubs rolling over yet??? I have to be careful now, I used to put Tiahna on the lounge to sleep but now she's rolling and moving so much i'm worried she'll fall off. Also if i sit her up a little she can now pull her self up a little more. Yeasterday DP sat her up against the curved pillow and she pulled herself up more andflopped over to her legs... (obviously she's willing but her back still isnt strong enough) I checked DS's blue book and he was rolling at 3 1/2 months so Tiahna is a little ahead of him. I found out she has a few ticklish spots and laughts the house down when she's tickles. She loves to play with my hair alot especially when feeding, also loves touching my face... Its great, were really bonding now with feeds. I'm feeling the let down more and i really think the Bfing is going well... (I was only doing 2 feeds by this stage with DS. :(

Well I have to go back to work monday. I got my dates wrong and my maternity leave has run out so if I dont go back now as we are paid fortnightly I wont get paid for a month.... that so cant happen. So I will be back at work monday which I am ok with. I knew it was going to happen soon anyway. DH is rapted as he starts his paternity leave a day early, he finishes work on thursday.
I will now work mon tues friday and saturday. Next week I wont be working on tuesday as I have no one to look after the boys but then i will be back to my regular roster.
Liam went from 8 - 4.30 this morning. I was rapted. my boobs were so full though. We are staying on reg feed times of around 7am in the morning which is good as I need to be at work by 8 and its a 1/2 hr drive.

OMG- Last night sat Tiahna up in the corner of the lounge with the curved pillow while DP and i watched the footy. Next thing i know she's laughing so i look next to me and she sitting up all by herslef (i know it was with the assistance of the pillow) but she had managed to lift a little more so she wasnt laying on it. I was quick to put her back on the pillow as it is way to early. I was totally freaked out. DP was amazed she was just sitting there laughing at the footy. (think she'll be a Daddies girl watching the footy on his lap :rolleyes:)
I fnd the best time when Tiahna rolls is no nappy time... Think it frees her legs a bit more... she goes to her sideputs the top leg right over the bottom one and arches her back and flops over... LOL.
We had an excellent night Tiahna slept from 8.45 til 7 this morning... FAN-bloody-TASTIC... Just wish i could have had a better night sleep myself... Everytime she sleeps well i'm tossing and turning.
Deancey- :( about going back to work... But i guess we have to do what we have to do... Its great that ur DH is taking Paternity leave... My kids will have to be in care. :(. Yay on Liams sleep... I actually had a chance to clean the house yesterday. Tiahna had a 2hr Day sleep... if i can get that every day this house will never be a mess again... Its so great to get 2 hrs of solid clean time instead of 15 mins here and there. Well best be off have washing to hang, and dishes to unpack while little miss is blabbering to her big Brother.:D
well we had a nice day today we didnt make it to the housewarming the boys were feral and tired after the park. Jordan run around for over 2 hrs and was asking to go to bed, he fell asleep in the way home. Liam didnt slept much at all so was feral and overtired when we got home so had battle to get him to sleep. We didnt want to cause further stress and take them out again so we stayed home.
I am now all ready for work tomorrow. Everything packed for expressing and alarm set. Lets hope Liam feeds co incide to me needing to leave for work. He fed at 6.30 so I am hoping he will wake around 2-3 and then again between 6-7. that would be perfect. Or he could go straight thru to 6 and that would be even better but I am not holding my breath for that.
So will fill you in on the day at work tomorrow night.

Well im glad my 3 days of work are over, It was fairly tiring as all three nights i worked Hamish woke at around 4 each time, i was just getting use to him sleeping all night and now he is waking again:(. Oh well i am just glad i only work 2 days this week and not until thursday so i have a few days rest.
Deancey - Good luck with work, it is hard getting back in the swing of things again, but also good to feel a little human getting back in the world again. I enjoy a few hours at work but will enjoy it more when i go back to 2 days this week i hope.
Jess - its great when they sleep longer during the day, hamish has one sleep for around 3 hours and its amazing how much you get done and sometimes i even have a bit of me time to relax. Hamish can also sit very well, he has a very strong neck, i think he will sit before he rolls.
Sass - glad to hear jayda is improving with feeding, lets hope it was just a fussy stage.
I best be off to get some washing done, it seems never ending in this house.
well i think my liitle poo my be starting to teeth. with her bottles she is more interested in chewing on the teat. also she has discovered her hands the last week and is very strong and tries to play with the bottle and when she does this it pushes it out of her mouth.
abb: jayda is starting to sleep through (i hope) last night she went from 930 to 5 this morning. but she usually wakes at 330. wow about the sittin. jayda can sit for a few secs then falls forward, she tried to pull her self up abit when we lean hear sittin against things which usually makes her end up on her face lol.
wat age do they usualy start sittin up is it around now or is that a bit early? i only have my nephew to compare jayda too but he was a very lazy bub and everyone carried him everywhere and held him and done everythign for him.
jayda is gettin into 00 now and 0 wonder suits. i hope she slows down soon. i had so much 000 stuff and half of it she never wore bit of a waste. so i have decided to not buy so much stuff from now on lol. it is so hard everytime i go out i see new cute stuff, especilly now with all the new summer stuff coming out. also it will be good when i can judge wat she will be the following yr so i can buy stuff when they r on sale at the end of the season.
jess: yay on bubs sittin up. everytime i get excited about jayda doing something she doesnt do it again liek her rolling over. yay on the nice boobs lol, my r all flat and droopy lol.
we took photos of jayda and her cuz on the weekend they r 7 weeks apart but tegan was 4 weeks premmy and jayda looks sooooooooooo huge. she doesnt look like a baby anymore i nearly cried. looks liek ill have to have another one so i got a little bubby lol. dont let DH read this or he will hide from me for the next few yrs lol.
Deancey- Hope ur 1st day back to work went well... and hope the boys let u get organised and off to a smooth start.
Abb- Tiahna had a few days of waking again but noticed the more day sleep she got the less overnight sleep she needed. :( I find if she has a big sleep at about 10-12/1 pm then she has a smaller sleep at 3.30-5 then we start dinner, baths, play and booby then play while we eat dinner then booby and both kids to bed at 8-8.30. this way she'll sleep til 6.30-7am. maybe 1 wake up at about 4am.
might have to fiddle a bit with his timing of sleeps and feeds to get the right mix so u get a good night... good luck...
Sass- Tiahnais in 00 but some pants a shirts are still 000. all in 1 suits are 00 now... IKWYM about clothes .... my first i brought tonnes of clothes this time i had 0000 and 000 and then few 00 and 0 i wasnt sure what size she'd be by summer so now i can get few summer outfits in 0's (dont matter if there a bit big... ) they have some gorgeous little dresses and outfits 4 summer.... cant wait. Also i'm sure that if all of us on her got together with our bubs that they would all be different size... i wouldnt worry too much... i think its much better thinking bubs is bigg then worrying that there not putting on enough weight.

well work today was better than expected. Liam didnt co operate with feeds however, he fed at midnight and then 5am so by the time 9 came around ( an hour after getting to work ) my boobs were getting hard and full. I ended up expressing at 12 during lunch it took no time at all.
DH had the house spik and span when I came home with was awesome. I bathed Jordan, fed Liam, we have had tea and now Liam is in bed and Jordan is soon to follow.
Dont have to go back till friday now so a few days with my boys again.
Oh how I missed them
Glad to hear things went well Deancey, ikwym about missing them when your at work, i enjoy the first few hours but then after that i count down until i can go home and have a cuddle.
Last night was terrible, i was so tired before i went to bed now i am exhausted. Hamish fed at 9pm and went off to bed fine then woke at 11.30 (unusual) fed then back to bed woke at 2.45 fed and wouldnt go back until 4 then woke at 6 fed and then again at 7.30am. I am not sure why he was feeding so much but i am so sore this morning hope he gives me a rest for a few hours now. Wondering if it maybe a growth spurt? He hasnt slept through for 4 nights now, but i have just got my period for first time four days ago could that be the problem, not sure do they feed different when you have your period? I hope it doesnt continue, feels like he is 1 week old again.
Deancey- Glad to hear things at work went well even if Liam wasnt as settled as you hoped. I'm planning to go into work and ask for more time off... I just cant imagine having to go back any time soon... It took so long to get our second and i'd like to spend more time here with them if i can. The lady i job share with made out like they would let me go if i asked for extra time but i guess i wont know til i ask. i'm entitled to 12 months so its only an extention .We could use the money but in the end i'm spending that on child care anyway.
As for boobs feeling full mine are like that from overnight feeds... except the last 2 mornings... I;m worried my supply is dropping.... there just not filling up as much and now Tiahna is having both sides every feed. I have a GP appointment on thursday so i'm hoping i'll get something that will boost the supply... Dont want to stop just yet but also because Tiahna still refuses a bottle. I tried this morning as she slept all night and knew she'd be hungry... she just screamed the house down and kept pushing it away...
Abb- there was a thread about bubs fussing at the breast while AF is around... apparently it gives the milk a different taste due to hormones... I hadnt noticed with myself but we we had 4 days last week where Tiahna was waking 1-3 times a night but i found that she was sleeping at wrong time in the day and when i sorted that out she came good and now we've had 3 days of her sleeping through again.
Last night Tiahna was so grumpy... she had horrid wind and i just couldnt relieve it for her. I gave her donnalix at 4pm and by 5 still no relief (usually works quickly) i fed her again at 6 and she kept fussing and pushing the boob then grabbing it , screaming then sucking again.. it was aweful. I gave her some infants friend and that didnt work. So at 7.30 i gave her nappy free time (the house was so toasty warm) she kicked about and would not stop farting,.... it was grose. But at least it helped her get the wind out. She was finally in bed by 9 after a finaly feed. (DS went to bed at 7.45... YAY) And Tiahna and DS both slept til 7 .15 this morning.

I've been stupidly busy, trying to get stuff packed to move house, and working, and trying hard to keep my DS entertained... he's too alert!
Wow, deancey, great first day back at work! It must have been so hard, but nice to get back to the "real world" for a bit. Hope the feeding schedule gets sorted for you. Congrats to your DH for being such a star! Can I borrow him?? My place is a mess...
Abb - we've had a similar thing happening here, with unusual feeding times thru the night last week. I think it's possibly a growth spurt (could he get any heavier??) but also our routine has been pretty disrupted for the last week or so, and there's boxes and stuff everywhere in our place, so that is definitely mixing things up a bit. I haven't had a period yet, but that doesn't mean I'm not ovulating. Last week the chocolate cravings kicked in, which is a sure sign for me! Bad timing.
Jess - same thing here with the wind, but it happened at 2:30 this morning! I spent ages massaging Aadi's tummy, and doing everything I could to try and relieve his pain, but it wasn't until I put him back on the change table and got his legs up in the air without the nappy that he really let go! It's hard to know whether to laugh or cry! Farting like a champion... bleurk! I'm so exhausted this morning, and Aadi is too, I think. He's grizzly and grumpy, and usually he's cheerful and talkative. Of course, we're supposed to go to mothers group this morning, and he'll be an overtired, chucky little rascal by the time we ever get there. Great way to make new friends - spew on them! lol
Sassy - wow, I hope for your sake Jayda's not getting teeth yet! It's possible, but they're growing up so quickly as it is! I hope it's just a phase, and you get another month at least before the teeth show. I worried that Aadi might be starting teething as well, because he keeps drooling and jamming everything in his mouth, but apparently the signs and symptoms can start a few months before the teeth show! Right now I think they're just experimenting with new textures and tastes. I hope so. I want my bubba to stay a bubba just a little bit longer too!
"Usually" babies start to sit up around 4-6 months (according to J&J books!) but can't really sit for very long unassisted. Aadi pulls himself up to sitting if I hold his hands, but he also tries to pull up to standing, which is freaky. We're also moving into 00 clothes now, but that's mainly all-in-ones and PJs because the cloth nappies are a bit bulkier at night (wishful thinking - he might sleep thru again!) and jumpers, because they're going over a few layers. I've found most of the Bonds stuff in 00 is completely the wrong size and shape though, and I dont think I'll buy anything else from them.
OK, sorry to everyone I missed... I have to get going. Too much to do! Be back next week maybe. Thank goodness my mum's coming down from QLD to help me move. I'd never get there otherwise!

Well last night Liam fed at 5.30pm he then didnt wake till 2.30am then 6.30 this morning. It was perfect. Lets hope he stays like this from now on. I would like his last feed to be a little later but the 6.30 am feed is perfect.
Well I had to go into work to fill out forms for my pay so took the boys in, they loved it, they got heaps of attention. Then off to the post office to get stuff to send of school applications and then home.
Both boys are in bed which is perfect. Liam due up about now so will see what happens.

Well Tiahna has been so grumpy today but i'm slowly recognising her grumpy signs more quickly and trying to sort them out. She's having terrible wind issues still so if i'm still having issues within the next week i'll book into see the osteopath or chiro. I just snuggled up with her while she was having bad pains just talking to her and massaging her just basically trying to comfort her. She's now asleep and hopefully is DS stays quiet she'll stay asleep for a while. DP left for work at 2.30 so hoping that DS will be quiet in front of the telly so i can have a cuppa (am now) small relax and back to doing something with this darn house. I just cant keep up. (i know i should get off this damn thing....:rolleyes:)
Deancey- Good to hear the boys behaved and loved the attention. YAY on liams sleep... hopefully he can stick to a routine for u. I know i'm blessed this time around to have such a great night sleeper... DS was aweful waking every 2 hours while Bfing and when we switched to AR formula it went to 5 h sleep then every 3hours... I know what its like and just glad my little princess is doing well at the sleeping./.... would never have thought i'd have such a good night sleep when i was preg...
NaNa- IKWYM about packing... we've moved lets see... about 5-6 times.... the last was while i was preg... its not fun at all... the worst is packing to unpack and its not like you have time with a baby. just glad we dont have to move anymore... phew.....

Today Tiahna did one of her explosive farts followed by a poo... DS was asking to help and when i took the nappy off he screamed out AHHHH YUK..... then he was telling Tiahna "you did a POOPS... " but the way he was saying POOPS (really pronouncing the P's so he almost spat) She was laughing so hard at him... the more she laughed the more he kept going... she thought it was so funny i have never heard her giggle so much yet...
Oh as for teeth... Tiahna has a bit of a sharp bit but it keeps going up and down. Sometimes u can see white and others just a little lump. hopefully it will be a little longer before it pops up fully... ouch on the boobs... Milk supply is still a bit on the low side today... am drinking heaps of water, tea, milk drink but not making much difference yet... fingers crosses a dose of the maxalon will boost it back up again...

ok, so I'm back already! I just have to take a break from everything for a minute, and I was working on something totally boring on my computer anyway... excuses excuses! Aadi has just discovered Hi 5 on tv, and it's keeping him enthralled and happy for a few minutes, but it's NOT something I will encourage! They're so cheerful, there must be something wrong with them. Oh, that's right! They couldn't possibly have kids of their own... gee, I'm too cynical.
This will be the 37th time I've moved house (yes, that's right, 37!!) but the first time with a baby, so I'm REALLY glad I'm going to have some help from my mum, at least just for the bond-clean I'm going to have to do next week some time. I don't really have any other friends or family here (all overseas or interstate) so it's a challenge when DP is at work. Aadi's quite a handful during the day, as he only sleeps 45mins-1 hour at a time, 3-4 times a day, which is ok, but I'd prefer it in 2 big blocks. I'm still struggling to keep to the feed-play-sleep routine, and trying so hard not to let it become a play-feed-sleep one, because feeding to sleep will only cause problems later, and I dont need that.
Ok, I really should get back to this work now. I wish I hadn't agreed to do it, I just need the $$!

Jess I cant imagine what its like to have a baby not sleep thru the day, both my boys have been good sleepers. Jordan was better he would sleep 3 hrs at a time. Liam isnt too bad, he is sleeping atleast 2 hrs in between feeds. atleast Tiahna is sleeping ok during the night though I guess that is a consilation.
Well today I posted my applications for tafe so now its just a matter of passing the entrance test. I am sitting in on the 10th sept and then takes about a fortnight for the results.
Liam has been good today. he has been a real poop machine though, escaping the nappies 3 times today, needless to say he has worn a few outfits today.
He has been sticking to his 7am 11 am 3pm 7pm and then 3am feed schedule for the last 2 night now so I am hoping this may be the start of a routine for us.

i had all intensions to use cloth but with going back to work so early it never happened and i dont think i will be able to.
I dont know if i wrote last week but i took jayda to baby clinc and she put on enough weight evn though she hasnt been drinking much. i have cut her bottles back to 125 mls that way with the formula in it, it makes nearly 150mls. when i was makin up 150mls it wold go up to 175mls and she was leaving about 50mls each time and i was wasting too much formula. i was only freakin out cause it says on the tin that from 3 months they should be having 150mls but i guess all buts r dif and if she is still puttin on weight she is ok.
went through all jaydas clothes that she has grown out of and i ended up with 3 roller boxes full of stuff in only 0000 and 000 sizes. i went way over board buying clothes and prob about half of them she never wore :(

Hi all, well we had our gP check up today... Got my 2nd gardasil injection... (ouchy) but glad i'm on the way to some protection....
Tiahna now weighs 6.05kg's head is 40 and length is 61.5cm. So i'm happy she's doing well... Got some maxalon for the milk supply but GP suggested more expressing after feeds... so we'll see how we go...
As for the bad wind he's put us back on the zantac to see if that helps :crossfingers: hope it works... poor thing is in agony.....
Spent the day with a GF and her little boy... Whilst Jordan ran amok... :rolleyes:now i know why i usualy take him to daycare when i want time with the girls... Tiahna was GREAT... # BF's in public... with a Mum who "doesnt do that" and hates the idea of it but at least is supportive enough for others... Having some real issues with my damn wisdom teeth... grrrrrr... Cant affort the $1500 at the moment to get the damn things out.
Sass- Glad you worked out Jayda's feeding... the tin is just a guide and as long as she's having enough wet nappies and the weight gain is ok then its all good... Nice pic also... Jayda's a cutie... mis_tree no idea on how to prevent hic cups however i find a quick suck on the boobs cures them in an instant so atelast you can get rid of them quickly. It might not be ideal but it works.
Well I took the boys into their dads work today as it was his last day, he is now a SAHD for 3.5 months. The boys were doted on by all his work mates. They were so tired they both slept on the way home and are both sound asleep in bed.
Wont be late night tonight as off to work in the morning.

welcome mis_tree! I'm the babbler in this thread, in case you hadn't noticed... but I'm busy this week so wont be around as often! I know what you mean about the hiccups - it's awful - but I don't know anything that helps much. My DS has had them since conception LOL! Serious! He still gets them quite often, but he seems to be used to it now. My DP gets hiccups in his sleep, which is highly annoying, but I know where the boy gets it from now! Sorry, that's no help, is it?
How did you manage with Seth in the harness? That must have been challenging, I reckon.
Jess - I've no idea why I've moved so many times! Sometimes it's been to the next street, other times it's been overseas. I've lived on four consecutive streets in three suburbs now. Gypsy, maybe. I don't particularly enjoy it, and the sound of packing tape gives me the heebee jeebees, but landlords will keep putting the rent up, or my visa would run out and off I go again... you'd think I'd stop accumulating so much crap by now, but nooo... Hopefully I can stay in one place for a while now, for the sake of my child, but DP's family are all overseas and he wants to go back to France soon. My french is pathetic, but at least they don't have Hi 5 there!

Deancey - It's so cool that your DH is going to be a sahd! And getting back to school. That's awesome. My brain still doesn't work properly, and I spent an hour today trying to remember how to do something I used to do at least 25 times a day when I was at work. Mummy brain + computer software = porridge! How do you do it?? And I am still insanely jealous of you getting Liam to sleep for even 2 hours during the day. The longest Aadi slept today was 40 minutes, and that was after the worst night ever (ever!) with a whole bathroom clean-up at 4am from you-don't-wanna-know!
