    Hi All,

Jess and Abb - I think we are all feeling the same regarding the fires. Everytime I see it on the news tears start to well. Then they talk about catching the S***heads and then I get angry. I really can't understand why people do it. I wonder if they are sitting there now watching the news and feel the worst guilt knowing they have destroyed so many lives....I hope they never sleep again....

Anyway, as you've said it really makes our minor issues insignificant doesn't it. But I guess life has to go on.

MisTree - Yeah, it is very exhausting spending all day with bubs hey. I don't think my DH fully understands how draining entertaining an active and on the move little boy can be - but he'll find out in a few weekends where I've got some busy ones coming up and DH will have to look after Cam ALL day.

Abb - On the food...we do 3 meals a day, plus some snacking in between depending on time and sleep. We do cereal for breakfast, fruit and yoghurt for lunch and meat with vegies for dinner. Then snacking is usually a piece of fruit, rusk (the cheesymite ones), cheese (Cam's favourite - gets all excited as soon as he sees it).

Sassy - I've got a shocking memory all the time. It usually takes me a good 20-30mins to post personals. Especially if been MIA for a few days. On the bottle to bed, I wouldn't think it would be a big problem at the moment, but I thought I remember something about not giving bottles to bed because it can be bad for there teeth (not sure if this is right, it just kinda rings a bell). But if its working and giving you some rest for now why change things yet, hopefully this fighting to sleep is a phase that will end for you soon.

Jess - Yuk on the heat. It's rather warm here today, probably high 30's i'd say, but don't think it would be as bad as what alot of you's have had (we have a slight breeze at least). Hope Tiahna's not getting sick. How cute she is possibly trying to say brother. And our kisses have gotten extra sloppy too, with all this drooling from the teething.

Well as I kinda expected Cameron's sick. I remember thinking it when we were at the playcentre that this will probably cost me...oh well a small price to pay. And I guess it's all building his immune system. He was snotty and sniffly yesterday with the occassional cough, but overall still a happy boy though. Then last night I planned to go to bed early (8.30 - which is a big difference for me) - not long after in bed Cam woke...took 1hr to get to sleep. Then woke 11.45 (cuddled to sleep), 1.15 and 2 (self settled by the time I got to his door), 3.30 (cuddled and gave panadol), 4.45 (change nappy, feed and cuddle), 5.30 (self settled) and finally woke at 6.30. In all I think I got 5hrs sleep (so much for early night). I felt like I had a newborn again with those wake ups. Today he had 2hr sleep this morning and now he is asleep again, since 1 (it's now 4). He had a temp at lunch time, nearing 38degrees, but after a bit more panadol, a cool bath, ice in the chewy sack and a bf he's temp went back to the 37degrees. I have to keep wiping his nose and when I do I say blow and it seems he is trying to - such a clever boy. But it's so sad seeing you little ones sick hey.

Well that's pretty much all with us...

    Bye for now

Sorry ladies, I've been lurking for a few days but too busy to post. Hottest day in history here on the weekend and the fires... floods... plagues of ants in my house makes it all seem like it's the end of the world It was just horrible here on the weekend, and I can't bring myself to turn on the TV anymore. It just drains me on so many levels and already I'm totally exhausted. DS is just sooo full-on at the moment. Nothing new really, but anywayz... By the looks of things he's getting a few more top teeth very soon. Drooling everywhere again and biting! OMGoodness the biting!! Every cuddle comes with teeth marks. And the big sloppy kisses come with teeth too. He's so affectionate and loving, but just can't seem to help himself. Everything must be bitten. I hope it stops soon.
Still struggling with the sleep. We have a good routine, and DP puts him to bed every night after dinner and a bath, but he's still waking after a short time and fighting sleep, fighting the cot. Screaming lots if I put him in the cot and he's not deeply asleep. Then he wakes up again within a couple of hours and wont resettle in the cot, and demands a feed. Demanding to the point of biting my BBs! Savage little critter. I'm so zonked I fall asleep feeding him, so when I wake up and take him off he screams. He's been crying thru the night every few hours lately. I've stopped looking at the clock. But he's always awake at 7 regardless of how much sleep he hasn't had. Some days he's been catching up on a bit of sleep by having a long nap from 8.30-9ish, but most days he's just skipping that nap and tearing around the house till 11 or later. I tried going to bed early with him, but the same thing happened as with Bec! And I can't seem to nap during the day anymore.
On a more positive note, DS has been telling me when he needs to go potty! At least once a day he will crawl over and pat the potty a few times. So I've taken his nappy off and sat him on it, and sure enough he poops or pees straight away. It's amazing. If it's hot and he's just in a nappy he'll try and take it off himself! Cheeky monkey! He's worked out velcro, and snaps now too.
Still getting around commando crawling, but now and then he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks like crazy. He's pulling himself up to standing a lot, and would probably do it more if we had more suitable furniture for doing it on! Apparently my hair makes a good rope to pull on. It finally stopped falling out everywhere and he's yanking on it and pulling it out so much now!
Well, we still have house guests... and they've decided that they're never having children after a couple of weeks with us. It doesn't matter if I try and explain that not all kids are like Aadi, I think they're completely freaked out by the whole thing now. Oh well.

OK, I'm going to try and come back later for personals. Dinner's going cold!

    morning ladies

well jayda woke up this morning in a foul mood. her gums r even more swollen then usual so i gave her some panadol and she is happy now.

i am tryin to get her used to the cot she woke this morning after about a 5min nap caus ei made a noise but she was happy sittin in their talkin so i left her till she started to get a bit sooky.

we have been goin swimmin most nights and she loves it yesterday she yelled and squeeled nearly the whole time, not so good in a indoor pool where it echos lol.

i talked to the doc about tryin for another bub after jayda birthday to see wat she thought seens i am on the depression tabs. i said to her i feel great after being on the tabs 2 months and cuttin down hrs at work. i think work was the major cause of it. she said she woudl like me to be on the tabs for a min of 6 months so that takes me to just b4 jayda birthday anyways.

    Hi ladies

    Sorry been mia again!!!!!!!!!

Glad everyone is doing well and i too am totally devistated about these fires. I dont know anyone who has been affected but its just not something that should be happening. Well should not really get into it here not the place.

Don't have time for personals sorry kids are in a silly mood today!

I don't really know whats wrong with abbie at the moment i think she is teething cause i put her to bed at night just like normal but it take a few hours like 4 to get her to settleinto a deep sleep. Normally i put her to bed and i don;t hear from her till the morning but lately she wakes stirs and whinges for a few hours not crying or really upset just tosses and turns whinges and stuff!! I don't really know cause i would think that if she was in pain she would be really crying.

I am really annoyed with sil at teh moment. Well on cody's first day her son(3yrs old) punched cody in the face, as in a real good one too. So i told her on te way out of the school and she got the ****s and walked off. Well then she calls me and says well he said that cody hit him first. So after school i asked cody and he said no mum i was telling him to stop running on the concrete. SO i called her and said well cody said he did not hit him. ANd she said to me oh well we just have to remember that he is a kid
LIKE WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Um you do not let your child punch another child in the face or even at all. I can not belive that she said that
So anyway i just left it at that and said nothing so today abbie has been cranky all morning and she fell asleep on the way to the school so i put her in the pram and walking into the school her son (3) runs up to the pram like he does every morning ready to almost jump into the thing and i say please just leave her . Sil snaps at me whats your problem, i say well she is asleep. Oh my goodness she makes me sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
MAD. Sometime i wish people would just learn to control there children and if they don't won't other people to say anything to them then maybe they should teach them some manners.

ok Sorry about that just really had to get that out

I feel much better now lol

    Take care and talk soon

    Hello ladies,

Lol@Love-my-kids. If I were you I would have probably punched her in the face . It seems like she cannot control her 3 year old. Or just can't be bothered. Your best option at the moment is to ignore her, she is family after all. By the way, I was kidding about punching a In-Law in the face , although it would does sound tempting.

Exam over! 2 weeks to relax with my beautiful, sweet daughter. And another full semester ahead, the last! I can't wait. DD's top tooth (one of them) is visible and the other is should be there very soon, its coming out. No crawling. Still does the 'once in a blue moon' roll. She doesn't enjoy tummy time much, only in the mornings. She loves sitting. She does everything in a sitting position. She does get into a crawling position, what looks like mini-push-ups, cute.

DD sleeping is wonderful. She sleeps throughout the night from 7:30pm or 8pm til 6:30am. I am blessed. She makes some noises during the night but doesn't want to be feed. I allowed her to stay up a little late tonight because of the heat. She couldn't sleep and I didn't want to force her. She eats her food. I am so proud. She has dinner with us. But I don't give her fruits if it hasn't been pureed. I do give her apples (sliced) to hold and bite on whenever she pleases. I can't give her fruits because she chokes and ends up vomitting. I haven't made an appointment for the 8 month meeting yet. But I will sometime this week, definitely not tomorrow, the weather is expected to be 39 degrees.

My throat is hurting. Whenever I take DD to childcare she comes back home with a runny nose, blocked nose, etc. By Sunday night she is back. By Wednesday, sick again! She has attended childcare for 10-12 days. But she will be home with me until I go back to uni. This will be the first semester I attended classes since giving birth to her. I am so looking forward to reading. I went to the library today and borrowed two books by Audrey Howard, my favourite author. Anyways, I don't know what else to write besides from the tragic about the bushfires. It is sad how someone or some people have lit these fires.

    Morning ladies.

Where do i start. Things here are not going Soo good but compared to others i shouldnt complain. DD and i are both sick. a cold by the looks of it. sore throat, runny nose dry cough, its aweful. The fever just wont ease up i'm hot and cold and i feel sorry for DD as she is going through the same. I couldnt find her formula anywhere so had to buy a different HA formula. NAN.... **** 7 scoops of powder to 210 mls of water.... compared to her KARICARE 4 scoops. There scooper is so tiny. I was thinking of changing as her poops have been not right. Thery seem to be a bit hard and black almost (sorry TMI) . sometimes if they arer soft they are still this dark black almost colour... i dont think thats right even with solids. Her 2nd bottle of NAN and she had dioreah (spl) then 3rd bottle she threw up a bit and this morning's poop is a very light green colour. never before have i seen a poo this colour. I'm just not sure what to do. i can only find 2 brands who make a HA formula and if one makes her poop black and one makes her have dioreah what do i do. I'll speak with the GP today and see what he thinks.

Girl- YAY you must feel so relieved to have 1 exam over with.... Glad the sleeping is going well. Also the joys of childcare.... DS is still the same he gets sick almost weekly.... he goes 1 day (friday) and by sunday he's either throwing up, dioreah (spl) fevers, colds rashes, u name it he's got it from preschool.... its inevitable when kids are all together playing. slobbering on toys, wiping there noses with their hands etc all the fun things kids do.

LMK- omming from a mum who's son runs amok dispite my efforts to control him i empathise with both sides... My DS got lost at the shops 6 times last week. he hides in clothes racks or just runs out to the front of the store and plays on the bloody toys/ride things. He has never punched anyone YET except me oh and yes DD. (he put on 2 stubby holders and pretended they were bozing gloves and punched her in the face... not nice) I think best to ignore her comments. Me i would be very appologetic, its so embarrasing having an out of control child and somthing i wouldnt want to wish on anyone. Its hard work and very full on but to me it sounds like your SIL just has 'perfect child syndrome'. (Her child can never be in the wrong. ) if DS is nasty or cheeky to people i tell him to appologise, sometimes he refuses which makes me more cranky. i always appologise for him (i know he needs to learn to say it himself). I hope cody is ok, its also hard to explain to him why his cousin didnt get into trouble too.... HUGS

Sass- WOW at already planing next bubs.... i would love to be doing the same but DP isnt ready.... think he's going through a late 20's crisis or something... hehe.... he just brought a boat and wants to get out on thw water... Think he's trying to relive his YOUTH.... hehe.... Its good your feeling so much better now.

NaNa- Sorry to hear Aadi is biting... Ouchy..... sounds like your having a rough time... WOW at Aadi knowing what the potty is for.... i find if i use cloth DD is quick to tell me she needs a change. Were having similar day sleep issues... we used to have 2 sleeps 1 at about 9 ish and awake in an hour then another at 12ish til about 2-3. lately it has been 1 sleep at about 11.30-12 but only til about 1-2 and she's tired and cranky by 4 and wanting to be in bed i stretch her out til about 5.30-6 but she ssleeps for an hour and wakes up and expects to play til 9-10pm if not later.

Bec- the heat was aweful but now its been raining and its cold.... i think thats why everyone is getting or is sick. DD has started saying UP now also.... we went from few words to nothing for ages and now lots of works and sounds again.... I wish DD would blow her nose... she sees me with a tissue and covers her face and smears it everywhere... she hates having her nose wiped. poor thing.

Well best be off, time to pump some music and clean up (dance round too to warm me up) Take care everyone....

Been a while since Deancey and mecil have been on..... hmmm i think there are a couple of people missing. have to find the spread sheet i made when we 1st started this baby buddies thread.
