Jess and Abb - I think we are all feeling the same regarding the fires. Everytime I see it on the news tears start to well. Then they talk about catching the S***heads and then I get angry. I really can't understand why people do it. I wonder if they are sitting there now watching the news and feel the worst guilt knowing they have destroyed so many lives....I hope they never sleep again....
Anyway, as you've said it really makes our minor issues insignificant doesn't it. But I guess life has to go on.
MisTree - Yeah, it is very exhausting spending all day with bubs hey. I don't think my DH fully understands how draining entertaining an active and on the move little boy can be - but he'll find out in a few weekends where I've got some busy ones coming up and DH will have to look after Cam ALL day.
Abb - On the food...we do 3 meals a day, plus some snacking in between depending on time and sleep. We do cereal for breakfast, fruit and yoghurt for lunch and meat with vegies for dinner. Then snacking is usually a piece of fruit, rusk (the cheesymite ones), cheese (Cam's favourite - gets all excited as soon as he sees it).
Sassy - I've got a shocking memory all the time. It usually takes me a good 20-30mins to post personals. Especially if been MIA for a few days. On the bottle to bed, I wouldn't think it would be a big problem at the moment, but I thought I remember something about not giving bottles to bed because it can be bad for there teeth (not sure if this is right, it just kinda rings a bell). But if its working and giving you some rest for now why change things yet, hopefully this fighting to sleep is a phase that will end for you soon.
Jess - Yuk on the heat. It's rather warm here today, probably high 30's i'd say, but don't think it would be as bad as what alot of you's have had (we have a slight breeze at least). Hope Tiahna's not getting sick. How cute she is possibly trying to say brother. And our kisses have gotten extra sloppy too, with all this drooling from the teething.
Well as I kinda expected Cameron's sick. I remember thinking it when we were at the playcentre that this will probably cost me...oh well a small price to pay. And I guess it's all building his immune system. He was snotty and sniffly yesterday with the occassional cough, but overall still a happy boy though. Then last night I planned to go to bed early (8.30 - which is a big difference for me) - not long after in bed Cam woke...took 1hr to get to sleep. Then woke 11.45 (cuddled to sleep), 1.15 and 2 (self settled by the time I got to his door), 3.30 (cuddled and gave panadol), 4.45 (change nappy, feed and cuddle), 5.30 (self settled) and finally woke at 6.30. In all I think I got 5hrs sleep (so much for early night). I felt like I had a newborn again with those wake ups. Today he had 2hr sleep this morning and now he is asleep again, since 1 (it's now 4). He had a temp at lunch time, nearing 38degrees, but after a bit more panadol, a cool bath, ice in the chewy sack and a bf he's temp went back to the 37degrees. I have to keep wiping his nose and when I do I say blow and it seems he is trying to - such a clever boy. But it's so sad seeing you little ones sick hey.
