Nicky: Oooh, I can totally sympathise with the intensity of toddler love. Natty freaks me out on a daily basis with her sisterly cuddles. And now she has worked out how to climb up on the table (although I won't allow it... not that that stops her!) so the one safe place is no more :(
And as for the attitude problems, big hugs - I know about that too. Champers was a cracking good idea ;) How is your knee doing?
Naomi: LOL, not surprised that your ILs are annoying like that! I do get along with FIL, but he's just a bit clueless sometimes. I have no doubt that if I got over it and asked for his help he'd fall over himself trying. And PMSL @ your MIL not undoing the harness... :o Whoa, woman!!! Hope today's visit isn't too painful.
Bridg: Hope you're having a good w/end with your sis.
Bella: Your DH must be a much lighter sleeper than mine (course it helps that mine is part-deaf, LOL!). I could probably hire a PA and brass band to announce that I am in the room and getting dressed and he'd not wake up. I think J has passed on her sleepy vibes to P... the last 2 nights she has slept right through! (No doubt they'll trade again soon, babe - don't lose heart, LOL.

DH and I have had some ups and downs the last couple of days. We are both so unwilling to think beyond ourselves atm... it feels yuck. I am hoping that we sorted things last night, but I reckon it'll rear its head again. *sigh* It really helps that P has had some good sleeps - meant that I could be a bit rational instead of just teary. Mum organised a big morning tea at church for daffodil day yesterday. Had a really lovely time there with SIL and a good mate of mine. The kids played really nicely together and P was still sleepy, cuddly and gorgeous. When we got home in the evening we ran into our new neighbours who have a 3yo granddaughter. She and Natty started chatting and playing (they'd met a couple of times before) and before I knew it Natty was running into their townhouse after the little girl! They are a lovely Iranian family and they invited me in, offered me fruit etc! Was so embarrassing but really friendly. They had been to the markets and were sorting out their herbs and veges - the room smelt fantastic. The ladies (3 generations' worth) were sitting on the loungeroom floor and pulling off the leaves and putting them in different baskets... I really enjoyed myself! However, then the girls had a barney over Natalie's flowers (she had picked them at my folks' place earlier) and there were tanties all round. Bummer of a way to finish the evening off. But still, nice to know we've got such lovely neighbours. I hope the girls stay good mates.
Well, P has gone back to sleep again, LOL! Think she must be having a growth spurt or something. So I might take the opportunity to have a shower. Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

Amy - sorry to hear about the ups and downs - I hope everything works itself out :) Great to hear P has slept through a few nights for you, hope it continues. Great to hear you have some friendly neighbours. Most of ours seem nice, but most of our street keep to themselves. The visit to the IL went well today - hopefully this is a good sign of things to come.

AFU - We've had such a great few days - since his 17 week wonder week last week, Bailey is so much more calm and consistently happy and settled - its like he's kinda 'relaxed' more and just takes things in his stride more.......... yaaaaaah! He was pretty chilled out before but when he did get upset it was the end of the world - now he's like "Meh, whatever". He's sooooo much more talkative now than ever before, I'm loving the baby babble - its constant and oh so cute. We hover above him and say "Heeeeereeee Coooooooooooooomeeeeeeeess the Kisssssssssss Monsteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer" and then go in for the kiss and his absolutely kacks himself laughing, its hilarious, I should video it and post it on FB - its quite delightful

Sorry, just popping in quicky. Got lots of washing to catch up on because we've been out all weekend. I get so close to being ahead with the washing, and then out of nowhere, there's about 3-4 loads waiting for me... Grr.

Allira rolled for the first time yesterday arvo from tummy to back and then went from back to tummy tonight. I am kind of hoping it was only a fluke... I don't want her to grow up :(

Anyway, better go and fold and put away what I can.

Amy- Sorry your both having a hard time with ur DH atm..... we r sorta hitting the wall here to a bit. I think the excitement of a new member to the family is settling down and the hard work of tiredness built on tiredness has just begun to take it's toll on both of us and we have been less forgiving to each other. We really are best friends, we r both just well tired. And we don't deal our best in that state. Things that wouldn't normally arn't an issue have become issues and where in the past we had the patience to find the right words... they arn't always coming. Not that we go to bed angry with each other either. It's more we r both having to change and neither of us likes it and were both uncomfortable and tetchy....You guys arn't alone. I imagine the pressures on you guys with 2 kids is all that much harder. *hugs* your a great person and tomorrow is another day.

Naomi- great to here bailey is settling into his routine again and getting his chill back!! I think Jemima is in a wonder week atm. She has really started to notice her hands and smile at everyone left right and center. plus i put some things to dangle off her gym which are lower and she was grabbing at them today. she kept catching them to. Or having a little temper tantrum if they eluded her for to long.... so funny! I think she worked out that she has feet today too! she ussually doesn't lift up her feet when on her back but today she was and found that she could kick the toys above. It kept her entertained for much longer:)

BG- great to here E rolled over! and yay that Daddy got to see it!

Naomi- How cute that Bailey is talking a lot more. They are funny as when they get to that stage. OMG! How stupid of ur MIL to get Bailey out of the bouncer like that! I dont blame u for being firm with her.

Bella- Im glad u werent DTD while walking down the aisle! Bummer about DH being a light sleeper. Luckily it wasnt freezing cold or someone knocked on the door.

Amy- We have had a few issues here too, but I think its a lot to do with that we are both tired and adjusting to a big change in our lives. We sort through it all, so Im sure u and DH will too. Havent spent much time with my sis as she is staying at Mums which is 30mins away, but she is coming over tomorrow to spend some time with me.

Nicky- I totally understand u on the washing creeping up on u. I did a few hundred loads yesterday and took them to the Laundromat to dry them. Now I feel like Im not drowning in washing. Yay for Allira rolling! What a clever little possum!

AFU, My sis kidnapped Jake and Zac yesterday arvo so they could have a sleep over at my Mums as sis is staying there. Then she rang me up this arvo, and said she is having them again tonight, will drop them at kinder tomorrow, and then come spend some time with Logan and I. I wont get to see the boys til 4.30pm when I pick them up from kinder :( . It will be weird waking up here tomorrow morning, as DH will of gone to work already, so it will just be me and Logan. Its going to be strange with only 1 baby to look after. Logans almost rolling over. His arm is stopping him, and he gets cranky and gives up. He has been sitting in his highchair with it tilted back. He doesnt like to miss out on whats happening. DH started my tattoo on my wrist last night, so after 2 hours of sitting in the chair, its only half done. The other half will get done in a few weeks, and then he has to start on my right leg.

Ive been checking out everyone spics on FB and I have to say, that EVERYONES bubbas are just GORGEOUS!!!

Bella - Great news about you being able to make the meet in Nov. How cute with Jemima and her feet, CJ kicks alot but can't lift them up very high because of the brace.

BG - Congrats to E on rolling over. How is she going with her earrings - does she touch them at all?

Bridg - Hope you had a good day with just Logan, at the moment I can't imagine having more than one, or not having one so can see it would be weird going from 3 to 1.

Amy - Hooray for P sleeping more. Is great for Natty to have a friend next door, when I was a kid had great friends next door but there were plenty of ups and downs!

Nicky - Well done to Allira for rolling over, both ways too - I heard that rolling back to front is much more difficult and often it happens much later.

Naomi - Sorry to hear about your footy tips, I did rubbish the whole season (always tipping the Hawks ruined me!) and finished something like 52 of 56 in works competition! But I was so far down by half way I was taking lots of risks in the hopes of clawing back some ground.

AFU - 3 months today! So now will start thinking in months instead of weeks I reckon. We had three candles in some donuts at lunch. Had a great weekend despite the footy, went out to a tupperware party on Friday night and DH successfully put CJ to bed for the night for the first time (there were a few texts back and forth because he seemed confused about whether a wondersuit should stay on or off under her gro bag - he has only given her a bottle most nights while wearing the gro bag and never noticed what she was wearing - at one point apparently he had taken the wondersuit off!). On Sat we went to the footy, then to the pub and then for an Indian - CJ watched the whole game, had a bottle at the pub then slept through the Indian - was really nice to be out in the evening with a load of friends. When got home my boobs were so full, but had had a few drinks (3) so expressed with intention of dumping it, but then thought seemed like such a waste so drank it - but in theory I was putting alcohol back into my body wasn't I - DOH!

Just a quicky - I posted this in the Formula Feeding Forum, but one of you lovely ladies might be able to give me some guidance.....

I have a large tin of Nan HA Gold 1 and the tin says to used within 3 weeks. As we breastfeed mostly and use formula when out etc (so only really 3-4 feeds per week) there is no way I will get through a tin in 3 weeks, any ideas if it will last longer (I know these used by dates etc are guides only). Perhaps if I put it in a airtight container instead of the formula tin I can keep it and use for longer?

I have tried to find a smaller tin or sachets and cant seem to find them anywhere ...

Any tips re how long to keep it, or if you are aware of where I can buy in sachets or smaller tin please let me know, its so expensive I dont want to throw out half a tin every three weeks

E has been FANTASTIC with her earrings - she just doesn't care. i can touch them, turn them, put spray on - she just doesn't care. half the time she smiles at me so it can't be too much of a drama for her!

sorry - too tired for persies - didn't manage to go back to sleep after E's 6am wake up again - was awake before that too - damn nightmares are driving me nuts! at least DH was home to snuggle me when i woke up - he's gone back to work til next weekend. i think his company is shutting down over the weekend next weekend - only 6 guys work for them (inc the boss) - only one doesn't have a kidlet and two became daddy's in May so they all want to be home for Fathers Day lol

Vic- It was very weird today with only 1, but it was good to have the boys back home. I think Logan missed the boys too as he was always looking around for them. He had huge smiles when they got in the car after kinder. LOL about drinking ur EBM and not thinking about putting the alcohol back in. Maybe it might make less alcohol in the EBM next time u express?? ;)

Naomi- Im with Jacinta on using 1 tin per week. I think s-26 have sachets. Not sure about other brands though. Is he on HA because he has allergies? s-26 is the closest formula to breast milk, so Ive been told. I dont think that putting it in an airtight container would make it last longer, but I may be wrong.

Oh, has anyone noticed a change in their bubbas poos? Logan had a 'normal' poo tonight for Daddy (well done LJ), and I have not long changed him and it was bright green and runny. He vomited last night, but thats because he wouldnt burp and the wind built up.

My Pram is fixed (and for free as under warranty) - Yaaaaaaah, what a relief. It was a 4.5 hour round trip to get it fixed though - left home at 830 and got home just before 1ish - LOL. Bailey was a super traveller and slept most of the way, and amused himself the rest of the time. While they fixed the pram I went to the local shopping centre so I could use the parents room to BF - sheesh some parents rooms are CRAP!!!

Brid - I was advised to use the Nan HA as was told by the local baby nurse that its the closest to BM and is easily digestable - LOL that you have been told the same re S26 hehehe - who knows, everyone has a different opinion. Also I know my Paed would only let the midwives feed the babies in our maternity hospital NAN too. I have sent an email to Nestle to see if they can tell me who (if anyone) sells the little sticks/sachets, failing that I will try the S26 sachets when the NAN runs out (or goes off more likely). We are heading to Shepparton to see my Brother over the long weekend, not sure if we are staying the monday too yet (depends what they are doing), but hopefully can catch up with you and Nicky you too if you are around the place :)

BG - glad to hear DH will be around for Fathers Day :)

Vic - How crazy is this, despite my terrible last round I still managed to come 2nd in the Footy Tips (I think everyone did as crap as me) - LOL, however 3 people drew for 2nd place so won $64 (Footy tips cost $44 so I still made a profit!!)

Bella - sounds like J is enjoying her new found hands and toys, isn't it great when they learn to 'play'. Bailey is so funny now, much more self sufficient, but as he rewards us with so many smiles and giggles I love to get down on his playmat and play with him as much as possible, he is just hysterical with his laughs and talking babble

Naomi- Yay for getting ur pram fixed for free! It is funny how everyone gets told different things about different formulas. I know that Nestle supply all the hospitals with NAN so thats why they use it. If u can get the NAN in sachets, that would probs be better than wasting a tin if hes not on formula full time. We will more than likely be home that weekend, and Im pretty sure Leigh has the Monday off.

Bridg - Nestle make the S26 and Nan - so I bet there is bugger all difference LOL

Gotta tell you..Pram Warehouse are fantastic!! We bought a (floor stock..last one left) babyhood rocking chair and matching ottoman from them around April? It broke recently. As we had carpet put down around then too, I had no idea where the receipt was. I thought we were stuffed (esp as it was marked down as well!). Anyway..I emailed my problem to them, they rang me, and told me to take it to the babyhood factory and they replaced the frame free of charge!!! My chair is fixed again!! Woohoo!! Mind you, the guy in the repair shop says "You know these chairs only take 90kg". I find this really ridiculous and hard to believe.. Pregnant women are not thin women!! (afterwards either). I am 85kg right now (not lost a kg since I gave birth!), and Cara is...around 7kg?? by now..having her weighed tomorrow btw). So....therefore we are over the limit. Anyway..taking it easy with this...no wild rocking hehe (not that i did really..but anyway). I bought a cheap cane rocking chair when the other was out of action. It still sits in the garage. Won't sell it for awhile hee..just in case!

Glad you got your pram fixed Naomi! That's excellent! You are right about some parents rooms being crap though. My local one at marsden is pathetic!! Just a few seats..not even real comfy ones even! in a room to feed your baby in!! The seats are a bit ripped and so old too. Makes woodridge baby room looks good..and that has a door you need to HOLD open to get your pram/shopping trolley in. Stupid too. Least they have nice pooh bear murals in the feeding rooms. Some of the baby rooms in the bigger shopping centres are just wonderful though!

I swear Cara is kissing me occasionally......I could be mistaken...but I go "Kiss for Cara"..tkiss her,then I go holding her up to my cheek "Kiss for Mummy and she plants a wet one on me and moves her face away..only sometimes...that's how it starts..so sweet.

Sorry I've been so MIA lately ladies. I'm trying to start up my own little business so I've been getting some of my stock ready and creating my website. The website is starting to look really good, and I just have to do the finishing touches (which take soooo long to actually write the program grrr) and hopefully I can upload it and get going. Most of my spare time (well Kyson's nap time, lol) seems to go straight to all of this stuff at the moment so while I keep reading all our posts, I don't seem to get the time to post.

Kyson is 4 months old today and I swear over the last few days he has changed heaps. He has become much more interested in his toys and his hands, and he really enjoys touching my face at the moment. He seems to be sleeping better for his daytime naps too. Actually, he just seems to be sleeping more over the last few days than usual.

I thought separation anxiety wasn't meant to start until about 8 months of age? Kyson has become super attached to me, to the point that he will only go to someone else for a couple of minutes at a time and then he screams until I take him back. He even does it to his dad! DH can hold him for longer than other people though, but even then the longest Kyson will let him hold him is about 20 minutes. My parents came over the other day and poor mum only got to hold him for about 5 minutes the whole visit! A part of me finds it really sweet (he loves me most ;) ), but it gets quite difficult to get things done when he won't let anyone else hold him.

Naomi - I love Bailey's "gwiggle" video. So cute!

Cathy - How adorable that Cara is kissing you. I pretend that Kyson is kissing me by holding his lips to my cheek when he is hungry, lol!

Hey Krystie! OOh I can't wait to see what Cara will discover in the next month or so. It will be cute when she starts to notice her hands and touch me!!

All babies are different. Some are more clingy than others. My 3 year old, Laura was very clingy and would cry (even in her Dad's arms) as a baby. He would get very frustrated. She took her time, but is now a very secure and happy little girl. She contined to be clingy to me until she was about 2. I took her to playgroup a bit, and that brought her out of her shell. She just needed a bit more security. And giving them lots of love, gives them that! :)

KL- a friend of mine says that her buba absolutely refused to be held by her dad from birth.. I thought that was strange but it came up cos Jemima refused to relax with DH until we got her a dummy. Neither of us wanted to give her one but when we did and for the first time she just lay back into Darren's arms and rested we were sold. I guess they r all different. I get what you mean though about being secretly pleased. Although I figure soon enough I will here the little screams of "daddy daddy!" coming thru the house when he gets home so I am enjoying my time. I second Naomi, what buisness you starting?

Naomi- great to here u have you pram fixed! bugger it took such a big trip to get it done.

Cathy- I have a rocker with ottoman and it also is having probs.. it too has a 90kg limit to weight, I wonder if we have the same one. Maybe I will have to visit the pram warehouse when we move back to the sunshine coast in Jan. Perhaps we can meet up at some stage too.

Bridge- funny about being a mum isn't it.. I don't have three but already i find that I wish for a moment on my own, but when i have it i miss her too much to enjoy it the same:) LOL oh well.

BG- glad to hear the E is doing so well with her earrings! Kids are amazing arn't they. If you start them off eary with anything they just adapt. They put the rest of us to shame. It really shows how we r programmed by our upbringings not by what actually happens to us.

AFM- Well i think i have mildly sprained my wrist today. It's not too sore it just feels funny and i have a bit of a bulging disc so my DH says. I just hope it doesn't tense up over night. Jemima is getting back to her sleeping routine sort of but not totally but she had a 8hr sleep last night so that was nice. Does anyone have info on wonder weeks for me.. I hear all of you talk about them and so i guess when to expect them but it would be nice to have some more info.. any one?

A year ago today we had the IUI that resulted in our little girl. what a huge year it's been!

sorry in advance, selfish post ahead!

had a shocker last night - i usually put my phone on really quietly overnight so as not to disturb E when DH rings - forgot last night while i was feeding her at bed time - i seen it light up and realised it was going to make noise so grabbed it quickly but not quick enough - the noise started, she startled and knocked my arm, i dropped it and it hit her in the head. i feel like the worst mummy! she got a big egg on the side of her head so i applied a cold compress and just kept changing it til she calmed down (dummy worked, boob didn't!) - just cuddled and talked to her til she was ok and then kept an eye on her while i fed her again. she was smiling at me before her feed so i figured she was ok - but i couldn't sleep anyway - every noise and i was checking on her. didn't sleep til she had her next feed this morning (and she slept her normal 8 hours so it was a looong night!). this morning there is no sign whatsoever of the egg - not even a red mark - nothin! she slept another three hours with me this morning (thanks bubba girl), fed, and is happily chiling in her swing! so tired today though!

Bridg - i can sympathise on the sore wrist! it makes everyday things like nappy changes and feeding uncomfy doesn't it?? mine has stopped dislocating the past fortnight - now when it lets go it feels like something is tearing inside the joint but comes good much quicker - on the downside, it's constantly aching. i probably should have it lightly strapped while i'm nursing E but i'm reluctant to strap it in case it weakens anymore - i was hoping she'd help strengthen it up and i guess she has with the stopping of the dislocation - but it's taking forever! hopefully yours won't last too long - and really hope the disc in your back doesnt' give you anymore grief

Allira's getting her bottom teeth!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They have nearly cut through the gums. She's been a little bit narkier than normal, but pretty good really. Very dribbly and always wanting to chew on something. She's still sleeping well.
She's been rolling onto her sides, but no more all the way over since the weekend. I think she's decided that she's done it now and onto the next thing. She gets all the way up on her knees... it's scary.

Can someone swap me for a baby who will stay a baby for a while longer?? She's growing too quickly.. I feel terrible because I'm not really wanting to encourage her to do much, because I want her to stay tiny. She's 7kgs now too.... Big chubba.

Bella, my rocker is 'babyhood' brand...maybe it is the same? We had to take it to the acacia ridge factory. We will have to meet up sometime! I live at Loganlea.

BG: Oh poor E. Don't worry, every Mum does it at some point! I think I dropped a full bottle of vicks vacarub on Cara's head a few weeks ago. Arghh. And Laura bonked Cara on the head by accident when Cara was lying down the other day!!..She tripped over the playgym and landed on Cara's head!! Poor bubba cried for a few mins..but was ok.

Niadla: Oh wow Allira's getting teeth!! Oooh you will know all about that soon hehe Cara now weighs almost 7kg (6950 yesterday! when I had her weighed). 63cm long

Cara's been a bit fussy lately..I wonder if it's teeth??? Too early for 3 mths....but maybe in a month?? :( I am VERY thankful for my swing sometimes!!

Naomiand Bella - I'm not sure how much I am allowed to write on here because of the rules about posting about businesses, but I'm making and selling some baby items. I just registered my domain name today, so I should have my website up and running shortly. Once it's up I'll send the link to you all on facebook so that I don't get into trouble for breaking any rules ;)

Cathy - Kyson was so funny today. He may have recently found his hands, but apparently they are not doing exactly what he wants them to yet. He was playing with one of his toys (a lamaze cube) and he was trying to get the rings in his mouth, but couldn't quite get them in and always jsut ended up with his hands in his mouth again. Then he totally cracked it with frustration and squeeled! Lol! Oh yes, that's the other thing he's recently learnt to do; SQUEELING!

Bella - Apparently when I was little I was super clingy to my mum as well. Mum was telling me the other day that when my dad drove in the driveway from work I would stand at the window yelling "Daddy Daddy", but when he came in the door I would hide behind the couch and start screaming "Muuuuuuummmmmmmyyyy". ROFL!!!!
I hope your wrist is not too bad. I've heard that alternating hot and cold can be beneficial. Maybe put a cold pack on it for a while, then switch to a heat bag if you have one. Gosh I love my wheat bag so much on cold nights!

BG - What a year indeed! We are all so lucky. I've never been this happy before in my life and I imagine you must feel the same :) Try not to beat yourself up to much abot last nights woopsie. Apparently my DH dropped one of my DSS's as a baby off the change table. I have given him very strict change table rules with Kyson, lol. Also, when Kyson was about a month old I started wearing my engagement and wedding rings again, until one time when I was changing him my engagement ring scratched the back of his head. It didn't breakt he skin or anything, but must have hurt because the poor little tyke screamed. Since then my rings have been safely kept in my bedside table...

Niadla - Sorry, I can't trade you because my "little" baby is growing too quickly too! Lol! I'm so glad that so far there is no sign of any chompers coming up. Good thing Allira is coping fairly well though.

Sorry girls, I have fallen behind! We are all good here. I keep coming on and starting to write persies, but I am just too far behind to get through it all... I have been reading anyway :)
I'm going to try Natty in undies tomorrow... Wish us luck!

Nicky : it is a bummer - this weekend is so much colder than previous weeks we've had here :rolleyes: But I set this date to start cause Natty has been telling me when her nappy is dirty/wet, so I figure the only way for her to get the hang of working out when she needs to go rather than when she's already gone is to have a crack at no nappy. Wow @ Allira on her knees! Phoebe could learn a thing or two by the sounds. She gets annoyed after 5 seconds on her tummy (it's not getting better, lol!) and just arches around on her side - doesn't roll over.

BG: Aw, sorry about the phone thing. I'm sure you were more troubled by it than E was. Phoebe has had a knock on the head too (collision with overenthusiastic toddler) and she cried. But there was no sign of a bruise or anything after a while. If ever you feel sad about any injuries your children sustain, come on over and talk to me - my kids are no strangers to ouchies, LOL! :hug: Hope you have been able to catch up on the lost sleep.
Bella: Sorry about the wrist, babe. I got RSI in my wrist a couple of years ago from breastfeeding Natty. Turns out I always held my hand the same way when she was feeding (at the end she only fed from my left bb) and it was a pain... literally! Hope yours is much better soon. There's a book called the Wonder Weeks - I am thinking of ordering it just out of interest. Google thewonderweeks dot com and you'll find out more about it and one of the authors.
Cathy: Great stuff about your chair being replaced! But whoa @ having a weight limit of 90kg... We'd be over here as well :( I haven't had Phoebe weighed lately, but she's certainly a lot 'fatter' than Natty was - Natty never had rolls on her legs, and Phoebe has gorgeous little michelin man ones, LOL! (I am certainly feeding her more than I fed Natty...) Must book another visit to the MCHN.
Naomi: When Natty was very little I bought S26 in sachets. But I must admit, I have been looking since your post and haven't seen them in my local shops. I wonder if they still do them? (The cynical side of me doubts it - they can make more money if they only sell the tins, KWIM? Seems the cash is what most manufacturers are concerned about atm, sadly.)
Bridg: Phoebe has started doing green poos on occasion too. She doesn't seem bothered though, so I can only assume everything's ok. The absolute worst is when she's had a clogged up nose and the snot comes out into her nappy. Bleugh! Makes me want to barf. Sorry for sharing! LOL!

Agggggghhhhh - so my pram saga continues ...... Hopefully at an end now, it broke AGAIN so I rang Britax/Steelcraft and ended up having a full on argument with them about whether or not it was appropriate for me to get a replacement rather than go through the whole drama of a road trip to get it fixed again, my Optus negotiation/assertiveness skills certainly came in handy, I was determined not to give in and I think they worked that out and decided to give me a replacement to get me off the phone LOL (whatever works) - so they rang my local target store and told them I was coming in for a replacement, I went around and got it and it seems fine (so it should its brand new). Hopefully this is the end of this drama - Things come in threes - so with drama I had getting it (Belly Buddies might remember my January rant LOL) and two breakages - THATS IT!!

Bella - DOH re the wrist - it must be a Mummy thing as I am having trouble with my right wrist, and I think it may have to do with holding Bailey (similar to you Amy), but its intermittent so I haven't gone to the Doc's or anything, hoping it will just sort it self out. I really notice it when I pick him up from his cot for night feeds, it must be the angle I am or something? weird!! The CYH (child and youth heath) site here in SA has awesome info re wonder weeks - google 'CYH wonder weeks' and it should come up, I'll PM you a link too just in case, I find it really informative and have referred back to it a number of times

BG - OUCH re the egg - glad its gone away, poor E. I have bopped Bailey on the head numerous times when getting him out of the car seat and I always feel terrible. I also cut his skin when cutting his nails once and felt like the worst Mummy - but accidents happen and we all do such a good job of looking after our babies. Isn't it amazing what the last year has held? We got our BFP on 9/9 last year, thats only a few days away - cant believe that was a year ago. I've almost been on BB for a year (my first post I think was the day we got our BFP or within a few days anyhoo)

Nicky - WOW re the knees - Allira sure is growing up fast, I dont know what Bailey weighs atm, you reminded me I must get him weighed, will get onto that next week. When you find that pause button let me know LOL

Amy - any 'accidents' today? - hope Natty is going well with the TT. I have found a few stockists for the S26 sachets, and apparantly Chemist Warehouse have NAN sachets another lovely BB'er told me so I will check it out - I have 3/4 of a tin of NAN which I'll have to ditch - DOH, what a waste of money!! I'd rather throw it out though than make the little guy sick

Vic - yeah, I must change my tickler from 'weeks' to 'months', its time to start thinking in months definately. Glad to hear you are supporting the Crows tonight - BooHoo to Nicky and Bridg - I hope we smash the Bombers LMAO (I have so just jumped back on the Crows bandwagon after neglecting them this year, someone else used my season tickets this year due to being pregnant/having Bailey etc). I must start paying more attention!!

AFU - Gymbaroo was great again this morning - Bailey lasted a bit longer today before he tired himself out (he is currently asleep now and has been for almost 2 hours so he's definately more tired than normal), loving the gymbaroo workout LOL. My Mum popped over before Sean got home and we put all coloured footprints of Bailey on a canvas with a photo for Sean's Fathers Day present - it was hilarious - VERY hard to stop Bailey from getting paint everywhere hahahhaa, will post some pics on FB after Sean has the present of our efforts - PS its VERY hard to get paint out from under your babies toenails LMAO :) I got him a massage voucher and a little book for him to read to Bailey called "I Love You Daddy". Just hoping for a decent day weather wise here as have a picnic planned - fingers crossed!!

Oooh, Naomi, the canvas sounds brilliant! I'll bet Bailey loved getting his feet paint-y.
Lots of accidents, half a wee in the potty. LOL! Not a great success. Tomorrow is another day. Funnily though, I gave her a zooper-dooper iceblock to eat after lunch and she decided while she was still eating to drag the potty over in front of the telly and sit on it. I let her, even though I shouldn't while she's eating, but I knew it was clean. Anyhoo, I go over after she's done and there's a few drops in there! So I made a big fuss and said woohoo etc... then realised the drops were from her iceblock. PMSL!!!

oh amy that's so funny about natty's ice block doing a pee in the potty for you ROFL!

Aaaaaagh! Phoebe had a tiny catnap at 6:45 - was probably only 10 minutes. She is still WIDE awake! Usually she's at least on her way to sleep by now. Am so peeved as I'm way tired. I gave up trying to rock/feed her to sleep and have wrapped her arms and put her in bed. I can hear her grunting her way out of the wrap, and no doubt eating her fists. *Sigh* Hopefully if she stays up late she will pull another sleep-all-night-er. :crossfingers:

If you go by the newer percentile charts that are for fully breastfed babies, he is spot-on the 50th percentiles :)

Funny story... Two days after Kyson was born, my cousin had her little boy. Kyson was 8lb 10.4oz, and her boy was 8lb 3oz. So Kyson was a big bigger. I'm not sure what her son's weight is right now, but I do know that at 3 months he was 7.2kg!!! Kyson isn't even that heavy yet at 4 months! Can't even blame it on formula milk because they are both fully breastfed. She has such a little chubba, but he is sooooo cute!

KL- Good for Kyson getting so big and healthy! By the way i like your new counter!

BG- Hugs chicky. Its hard not to feel bad when we accidentely hurt our little ones. Its not like u did it on purpose. I think my wrist keeps getting Ganglions in it, as I have had them before. My back is really just sore from bending alot. I brought a wrist guard from Priceline or somewhere like that, that just wraps around, but still gives me some mobility.

Cathy- Thats soooo cute about Cara giving u kisses. They are so soft and sweet arent they?

Krystie- I think all babies go through a stage where all they want is their mummies. Im lucky in the sense that Logan will go to pretty much anyone. Cant wait to get the details of ur little business. How exciting! Kysons stats are looking good! Sounds like he is growing perfectly.

Amy- LOL. Thanks for sharing the snotty poo story with me! LOL about the ice block dripping in the potty.

Nicky- Teeth already?! And up on her knees already?! Once she gets going, she wont stop now!

Naomi- I know someone who has the Steelcraft pram, so I will ask them next time I see them and see if they have been having any troubles. We have a Steelcraft stroller, and it is one of the best prams I have brought. The canvas idea sounds great. Cant wait to see pics.

AFU, Well I have started tablets and using cream to get rid of the eczema, and they are working a treat! I cant believe how much better I feel about myself, and I have started to wear my engagement and wedding ring again! Logan is doing really well. I weighed him and me last week, and the difference was 6.3kg. Hes not due to go back to the MCHN til the end of the month, so I cant wait to see how much he has grown. He is now out of his capsule. Still in rearward facing postion, but in a convertible car seat. It was good to have the boys back at home, and get back into the normal chaotic routine. I had a relaxing shower tonight, and painted my finger and toe nails. Logans been sleeping from around 10 at night til around half seven. This morning he woke at 8am, and was so excited to see Jake and Zac.

For all of those who saw the pic on Facebook, everyone thought it was Logan. Its infact Leigh when he was 6.5months old! Logan is a spitting image of his Daddy!

Well, after putting Phoebe down last night, I hopped on the puter for a while just waiting for her to start crying once she'd unwrapped herself. Incredibly she put herself to sleep! :o Was so shocked cause I thought she was going to be awake for ages. It was ace! Unfortunately she woke @ 12:45, but that was the only time so can't complain.

Krystie: Sounds like Kyson is doing so well! And woohoo for the sleeping longer. It is still only once in a blue moon that Phoebe sleeps longer than 40 mins in the day. Cool that Kyson's got your cousin's baby nice and close in age! My cousin had a little boy 3 weeks before I had Phoebe, but we don't see them very often, so I don't think Phoebe will know him very well. He is a chunk too, LOL! Just goes to show though that babies have to be somewhere on the centile charts and it often doesn't have anything to do with what you feed them. My mum was told to put my sister on formula when she was 4-ish months because she was small. Surprise, surprise, it made no difference. She was just small. And so I thought that attitude was outdated, but was just chatting to a friend the other day whose sis is in the UK with a 5mo. She was told to do the same thing! Except she just told the nurse to bugger off, LOL!
Bridg: Oh yes, sorry for sharing waaaaaay TMI lately ;) So pleased your eczema is clearing up! I can imagine it must make a huge difference to how you feel each day. Good for you for wearing your rings again... I think it'll be a while before I can get mine back on my finger - they're still too small! Whacko @ the shower - it must've been bliss.

Well, this sucker has already given up TT, LOL! I had her in knickers this morning again and she sat on the loo several times (and it was a battle getting the undies back on her each time - she's such a little rascal! I would've left them off but if I'm not looking when she's made a puddle then the wet undies are the only way I know there is one) but not a single wee. Two on the floor though, and now she has started to get upset on the loo or the potty. *Sigh* Not ready, methinks. And I am certainly not ready if this is the way she's going to behave while TT.
We have made a treacle slice this morning and as soon as Phoebe wakes from her nap we'll dash up to the shops to buy something for the grandfathers for tomorrow.
I have approved a trip for DH in November. He wants to go on a birdwatching trip for 4 days. I don't know how I'll go, but I feel like he's been mega stressed lately and he could use it. Hopefully I'll be able to milk it for all it's worth, LOL!
Alrighty... off to devour some slice with my cup of tea!

jamie has discovered that he can move ummm not sure how but on his playmati go away for a minute and all of a sudden hes turned 180 degrees and is now looking at the bums of all his toys come back in another 5 mins and hes another 90 degrees around now under all the toys he doesnt do it when we watch ??????????? im confused lol and he tries to roll but his arm is still in the way

Jacinta - is your playmat a big slippery (eg like smooth parachute type of material)? As ours is and Bailey sometimes spins around on his back by moving himself with his legs and ends up the other way too :)

Amy - Sorry the TT was so shortlived, good idea to try another time when Natty is more ready. Treacle slice sounds YUM, Sean and I are on a health kick but I might have to steal the recipe for when I have a naughty moment

Krystie - Do the MCHNs do checkups monthly or something? Here is SA we have one home visit then can take them to the CYH if we want too but they dont 'schedule' appts as such. I might take Bailey in next week for a proper weigh. I've had him weighed at the chemist a fair bit but they dont weight them naked like the CYH so I want to get a more accurate measurement.

Bridg - we have the steelcraft cruiser pram, I think there are a few different steelcraft ones. GLad to hear your eczema is getting better, I must to the finger and toeanails too. I used to get acrylic nails up until a month ago, but between Bailey teething and me sticking my fingers in his mouth (I dont want to stick acrylic nails in there LOL) and my weird hormones my nails were lifting anyway so I am attempting to grow them (very unsuccessfully - I am a nail bighter DOH)

Well after trying a few different things after quizzing you guys about your routines, I haven't had any luck with Bailey dropping any feeds and sleeping right through so I'm just going with keeping up the night feeds (don't really have an alternative anyway). So currently he is going to bed about 6pm after a feed, and feeding at 1030ish, 130ish, 430ish and 730ish. I've found myself staying up till the 1030ish one lately - DOH. He only lasts 4-5 hours when he first goes to sleep, it was 6 hours before his last wonder week. He's starting to get very distracted while feeding at times now, night feeds when he is sleepy are fine, but during the day sometimes he will pull off the boob repeatedly and cry, look around and go back on for a short time and pull off again and again crying. My right nipple is bruised as he sometimes takes the nipple with him. :o Its quite upsetting as it makes breast feeding less than enjoyable for both of us, but I am not sure what to do, or what the cause is. I 'think' it might be when he is getting a little tired towards a nap time (but not in that 'middle of the night' sleep state as night feeds seem fine, but he is half asleep feeding so its more instinctive then.) Maybe its when my milk supply is low? I dunno. I am gonna take him to get weighed during the week and ask our CYH nurse about it. Have any of the other bubba's been doing anything like that? I've been really avoiding giving him any bottles unless necessary as dont want him to choose the bottle over breast. However the other night he was having one of these crying feeds and got himself into such a state that we ended up giving him a bottle to try to settle him (which he took while Dad fed him as I was so upset at the breast refusal that I couldn't stop crying). Usually I can calm him and try the breast 5 or 10 mins later with more success. Maybe I should ring the BF helpline - do you have to be a member as I'm not currently :(

Doh, I feel a bit low today - we had a tough morning with the little guy, then Mum came around to watch Bailey as Sean and I were trying to finish putting up this damn water feature so have been busy working all day. Looking forward to a nice relaxing fathers day picnic tomorrow, weather permitting :pray:
