    I'M BACK.........
Well Hawaii was awesome. The boys were fantastic on both flights there and back. Jordan slept in his car seat and Liam in the basinette on the way over. We upgraded to star class (1st class) on the way home, it was bliss. We got all the food and drink we wanted, the cars were SO comfy and we had Liam in the car seat reclined and Jordan in the seat next to me so we all got a seat. The flight crew were awesome, they loved the boys and spoilt them with attention.
We had a great holiday. Spent time at beach, did heaps of shopping for clothes and toys ( lots of disney stuff not avail in Aus) ate heaps of naughty foods and Jamie and I even went out for a dinner alone whilst Jamies mate looked after the boys.
We got back late last night so today we have spent day at home chillin out. Have to clean the house tomorrow and then its back to work OH well. Holidays have to end sometime.

Liam is now rolling like a crazy person and getting around all over the place. He is still at times waking up once a night however now we are home I am going to try and cut it out again. I couldnt really let him cry too much in the hotel, not fair to the other people trying to sleep.
Sorry no personals I havent had chance to catch up on other thread. I hope you are all well and will try and catch up with everything thats been going on whilst I have been away.

Deancey welcome back, glad to hear holiday went well and the boys behaved. Back to reality now i suppose, wont be long and you will feel like another holiday.

Sass oh bad luck on the job front but i am sure something else will come along soon for you.

Mis Tree lol about your sis. How did stank sleep for you?

    NaNa pmsl

Hi to everyone else being lazy and can't be bothered looking at other thread sorry.
Well i am so tired atm, we had dp work function last night and a friend of mine came to our place and looked after kids. I had a few too many drinks well not that many but more than i have had in a long time. I got home early enough just after 12 but Hamish decided to wake around 3am with the worst stinky poo (tmi) ever omg it was gross and i suppose having the affects of a bit of alcohol probably didnt help the situation. But i just got him back to sleep and Dp staggers in Grrrrr men they dont know how to be quiet. I can't really complain he never usually goes anywhere or drinks and it was a big occasion for his work. Hamish then slept until 8am so that was good but i still feel wrecked might have to get a nana nap in today. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Hi All... WOW thread #4... Gosh time flies Almost time for 6 months needles...

Sass- too bad bout the jobs but i guess it just wasnt meant to be... maybe something bigger and better will pop up... With the clothes... alot of the dresses are 000 pants she needs the extra length but round the tummy are too big. I brought her these CUTE as denim shorts and they are 00 but are WAY to big luckily they have the adjustable elastic so i can make them smaller. I brought her a beautiful Yellow sun dress and its a 00 but could have been a 000 but decided to go bigger. (will post pics later i think)

Mis- hope Stank went down in the cot ok.

Deancey- YAY on the boys being behaved... (so jealous that you went to Hawaii) sounds like everything went well..

Abb- Glad the night out went well.... i know what you mean about men not being quiet...

Well i have good news... DD finally took a bottle of EBM... YAY... (just when i ask for more time off) Hoping its continues.... but bad news is we had 4 wake ups again...

Welcome back deancey! So great that your holiday went so well! And you came back - wow.
Mis - good for you, stick to your guns. Stanky needs to sleep, and you'll all suffer if he doesn't! Hope your night was ok.
Sass- that's a shame about the jobs, but I hope you got some feedback from them about why you weren't successful. Something better will come up.
Abb - hope you get your nap today! what a horrible thing to have to face when you're a bit feeling a bit urk...
Jess - great that DD took the bottle! Too bad she wouldn't when you were sick/tired/really needed her to! sorry you had a bad night. We did too. Sounds like you've been shopping almost as much as me! CottonOn Kids factory outlet + NaNa = trouble!! I'm norty and DS is spoilt!

The teething monster has returned... Aadi was a real little stinker last night. Wouldn't sleep more than a couple of hours at a time. Screamed and screamed and would only calm down with a feed, and did those toxic stinky poos as well. He's been cranky and poopy all morning, and I had to hand him over to DP at 6am so I could get a few more minutes sleep. Of course, in that time he super-pooped, so DP changed him and meanwhile DS peed everywhere! I dont know how many times I have to tell DP to just wait a moment because there's always a bit more... anyway, the house reeks of tea tree oil now, coz DP went nuts with the sanitizing. Whinged all morning that he got pee on his shoes! just wait till we have a poo-painting incident! Aaaargh!
And on that delightful mental image, I'll leave you to enjoy your day! haha!

mis_tree LOL at having to open the house because of a poopy nappy, must have been a good one. I hope the travelling gets better, its no fun when they dont like the car seat or pram.

NaNa sorry to hear Aadi is a bit miserable with the teething. It will pass though, hopefully sooner rather than later. Is Aadi on regular solids? That combined with teething will make the #2 a little unpleasent.

Abb34 glad to see you had a good time out with your partner, we all need it now and then.

Well we had a nice sunday. Went to mums for lunch my brother was there with his wife and my neice. I got to enjoy cuddles with her, she is so sweet.
    Getting ready for work tomorrow.
    take care

Wow we r on a new thread.

Im not as bummed about the jobs as i thought i woudl be. i think i just needed some time off and next yr i am cuttin my hrs down abit.

Deancey: good to hear the boys were so good one the plane.

jayda is going well with her solids. she has always been weird with ehr bottles. does this seem alright? she has 5 bottles a day but only about 150mls and then a full jar of food. half in mornign and half lunch. does this sound alright. on the tin it says she should be up over 200mls 4 to 5 times a day. i might do a thread int he feeding section.

deancey - lol, nah, he's just toxic. Haven't been regular with the solids as I've been out and about so often I just forget. But I'll make more of an effort this week. He only sometimes shows an interest, so I'm not pushing it. Luckily, despite everything Aadi's still so happy all the time. It's really only momentary that he's grumpy or whatever. I'm just a whinger coz I haven't had a full night's sleeep for over 6 months!
Sounds like a nice weekend! Too bad u have to go to work on such a gorgeous day, tho...

Jess - forgot to answer your question, "papa et maman" means literally "dad and mum". NaNa is a nickname I've had since I was a kid since most people can't pronounce my name, let alone remember it. Everyone calls me that, even my mum. Aadi has been very vocal since he was a few weeks old, but I have no idea what his first real words are going to be, and whether they will be french, english or arabic! I think the times he's said "NaNa" and "Aadi" were just a fluke, and he's continued to babble and grunt as before...

Mis- oooh work boring... same thing's happening here - the bump is back, the stink is pewwwyy, and sleep is not happening again. Aadi gets agitated and grunts/moans continually when he's sitting in the car seat or pram for too long. It's the worst noise. I think it's wind too.
DP rarely changes nappies, only on weekends really, and only if I'm asleep (not often) or I hassle him that it's "his turn". I even put printed instructions with diagrams on the wall next to the change table so there would be no excuse for him to do it wrong. So now he gets the nappy right but puts Aadi's clothes on back to front, inside out or both! He's a bit dippy sometimes... but I do have an overwhelming nappy stash, and like to confuzzle him at times. heheheh! I'm so mean.

Have a good day at work ladies! I dont envy you...

Sass- jinx! posted at the same time. I have no idea about the bottle feeding... sorry. But do those measurements take into consideration the fact that she's having solids as well?? Posting a thread in that section is a good idea tho. I'm glad you're not bummed about the jobs, something better will come along for sure, and you'll probably be a lot happier anyway when you've cut your hours down.

    WoooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooo
I dont have to work fulltime yay

I was going to have to go back to work fulltime soon but have decided "money isn't everything" lol, no really i have been doing a couple of shifts a week since Hamish was 6 weeks old and i can cope with that as the majority of the time its at night when Dp is home to look after ds. We talked on the weekend and Dp said he didnt want Hamish to go into care and ofcourse i agreed so we decided we would just keep going the way we are for as long as it works out and then see what happens later on. With Maddi starting secondary school next year i was not sure we can afford it but it just means we will need to watch our pennies a bit more. I am so glad i was not looking forward to it at all, i went back to work fulltime when dd was 12 weeks old and i regret it, I know it could not have been helped as i didn't have a choice at the time but am so pleased i do now. In saying this though i know i will need to be alot more careful with money , but i am sure we will manage.
I have forgotten what else i was going to write with all my exitement i now have writers block.lol
    Be back later..

Abb- WOOOHOOOO isnt that feeling great... I felt like a weight was lifted of my shoulders... SO glad i can now relax abit and enjoy DD...

NaNa- I thin kits hreat that your DS will grow up learning other languages. curious what your name is now... (what a sticky beak hey... ) Love the mental image of poo painting... (although from what i was told growing up i was quite the artist myself ) At least your DH will change nappies... Mine wont at all... or bath, dress, feed... pretty much most things...

Sass- i wouldnt worry bout what the tin says as long as Jayda is putting on weight then everything is good. The tin doesnt allow for solid food. As long as wet and dirty nappies are regular then no need to stress... (i know easier said then done)

Mis- Maybe its the angle of the seat and pram???

Deancey- Glad you had a nice time at your brothers...

Well things here have been hectic... I guess its pay back for having a good sleeper in the early weeks. DD was up 5 times again last night... I'm wrecked... DP ended up getting her up twice as i was so exhausted i didnt even hear her screaming... She now says Da Da... very clearly... all night she was crying out dadadadadadada... GRRRR so angry... just wanted at least 1 of them to say Mum 1st. oh well... Also he bottle feeding was short lived... Tried yesterday and nope wouldnt take it again... cant win lately...

Well DS has bad mouth sores... with him being sick the doc said he's immune system was low and has develooped these blister type things on his tounge... he's on AB hasnt eaten in 5 days cos his mouth is so sore. keeping up fluids so at least he isnt dehydrated. Well best be off... DD is sooking as usual and DP is whinging about whats for lunch (yep not even 11.30 yet... )

jess: no its better when they say da da because liek u said she was yelling out da da da all night then u can say to Dh she wants u lol. i always tell Dh that and he gets so angry and now is tryin to make her say mum or ma ma lol.

Abb: thats great that u dont ahev to go back to work full time. At least i was lucky i get to have jayda with me even though i work full time.

has anyone decided when they will haev their next bub yet? this isnt a joke this is a serious question hehehehe.
Dh and i have been talkin and we dicide that once jayda has had her 1st bday we wont try to stop it but we rnt gonna try full on.

Oh, Abb, that's wonderful! So happy for you! I know it's not easy to watch the budget with a baby AND a teen, but it will be so worth it for all the important time you get to spend with both your kids now. Money comes and money goes, but remember the best things in life aren't things!

Jess - I wouldn't mind if DP didn't change nappies, he makes such a mess! And then he gets all metrosexual on me, doesn't like getting his hands dirty... he can be such a wuss! It's funny coz he can't even say the word "bloke" with his french accent. I tease him mercilessly about it coz I'm such a b!tch, but since he pays the rent and bills, and I do practically everything else I figure that makes us about even.
I agree it's great that Aadi's going to be a multi-lingual kid, but it means I really need to brush up on my french or I'm going to be left behind. Maybe next year I'll get to night classes for arabic too. Hah! maybe...
Have you considered giving your DS probiotics, just to counter-balance the AB and help boost his immune system? It's such a vicious circle with AB coz it will make him susceptible to the next bug that's going round. Poor kiddo! Hope he's doing better soon.

Sass - oh gosh no. we never discussed having a baby before I got pg! I know DP wants more, and I'm actually ok with that now, but we have mentioned vaguely that it wont be for another year at least! Depends very much on his job and which country we're living in, coz there's a very real possibility we'll go overseas again.

It's such a glorious day I think I'll do some more laundry! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!

    A Big Hello to All,

Just thought I'd quickly pop in and say I'm still here. It's been a rather busy couple of weeks. Even now I don't have much time as Camerons happily playing on his mat, but for how long...

Well I finally read all the posts on thread #3 on Saturday, took me about 30mins, then went to post and all of a sudden the post was closed, and as the computer was going a little slow I gave up.

Last Sunday I went to Mum's to deal with some family issues (Mum lives approx 30mins drive up the highway). Had only intended going up for the day, but ended up staying the night, with Cameron. As Mum and I had a few things on that week to do together, on Monday we decided I'd stay the rest of the week. DH works in Brisbane, so he would pop in on the way home to the Gold Coast, and it meant he got some good night sleeps and could pop in anything else we needed.

I wasn't sure how Cameron would go sleeping in a new area, but he slept very well. I didn't have the porta-cot the first night, so we just layered some blankets and he slept on the floor. I slept on the bed beside him. I don't know how you's who do do it, sleeping with there babies in the same room and especially in the same bed. I barely slept cause I just wanted to listen to him most of the night, and boy he is a chatter box at night. I guess being in his own room I don't get to hear it as much, but he woke twice just for a chat! I ended up getting the porta cot, but Cameron didn't seem to sleep too well in it, so I will have to do some practising in it at home, for when he is a little older and has to stay at Mum's occassionally.

And some great news for us...Cameron can now roll over both ways, WOOHOO!!! And I was able to witness his first roll over from tummy to back. I could see him trying and I managed to yell to my mum to look, and over he went. He's been doing back to belly for about 6 weeks now, so this to us is a major accomplishment. I was starting to wonder if this was an accident (a very well planned accident) or what, but today he has done it 2 times so far this morning.

Unfornutately though Cameron got a bit of a cold, started on Wednesday, and woke a couple of times early Thursday morning, screaming. We came home Thursday then, as I figured it would be easier to get him to sleep and not disturb my dad and brother, who had to work. But now I too have a cold. Damn changes in weather, it has been 4 seasons in the last week.

Well I have to go, Cameron is ready for a feed.

I'll try to get back later. Thank you for all those who asked where we were, it's nice to be wanted.

    Bye for now

Sass- DP thinks he's king ***** now.... but not making him be more./....well 'fatherly" He's just loving how she follows him with her eyes and calls out to him all day.
About the next baby.... i could easily go again (have had DP scared already) we'll wait til DD is 12 months at least (for DP's sanity not mine) And i just want to enjoy her as much as i can. Plus i figure 12 months plus 9 months of pregnancy (remember how long that is) is more then enough time to wait for another miracle

NaNa- LOL about your metrosexual hubby... mine on the other hand was an Engine reconditioner by trade... Always greasy, dirty... always working in new clothes... i keep telling him to wear older clothes while doing him odd jobs but nope its always the Whitest newest t shirt when he goes out to fiddle with cars or did on the garden, making this or building that... My DS on the other hand used to freak out when he got dirty but DP has helped out with that now he's digging in the dirt and playing in mud when ever he can... GRRRRR Thanks for the advice on the probiotic... i was thinking bout it but i'm having issues getting to take the neurophen and AB as is... plus forcing him to have fluids. i finally got him to eat some jelly today.. .his mouth is so sore, its bad enough when you bite your tongue and get an ulcer but to have so many on your tongue, mouth, throat and lips. We just found out today from the Doc that it is a form of herpes... (like a coldsore) i freaked out but he said its very common amongst kids could have picked it up NUMEROUS places... i'm already strict on washing hands and using that antiseptic liquid stuff (you know that you dont need to wash off) Guess i need to be stricter.

Mis sorry to hear about DS and his rash... i know both kids' eczema plays up in the sun. What does the rash look like??? could it be a heat rash??? As for the sleeping in his own room... i think its up to you as the parent.

Bec- glad cam went well at your mums. Hope he's feeling better soon with his cold... poor thing... and YAY on the rolling too...

Well i was feeling a tad empty this arvo and had no EBM in the freezer so i made a little bit of Formula for DD. She fussed at first but then drank about 60mls of the 120... feeling very down about it but i guess it will come down to it sooner or later. Not giving up... Will try to express as often as i can to pick up my supply and get some in stock. at least she drank it. so i guess i'll just look at the positive and say YAY she had a bottle...
Dp is at work now so i'm off to bath the kids... hoping tonight DD decides to have a decent sleep....

nana: my hubby doesnt care about gettin his hands dirty but when it comes to a pooy nappy he is liek urs. it takes him so long it ends up all over the change table and if any gets on his hand like a tiny spot he runs around like a fairy lol.

Jess: dont worry about having to give her some formula its better then nothing. i know u knwo this but try not to stress about it it will only make it harder to get some out lol.
i remember the doc and nurses telling me to relax while i was tryin to express. i mean seriously i had a huge chunk out of my nipple and i expressed more blood then milk how relaxing is that lol.

bec: yay onthe rolling both ways. is he rolly pollying everywhere now? we cant keep jayda still.

Just a quick one, on my way to playgroup!
    Bec - welcome back!
Mis - grrrr at XP! Maybe it's boys germs? lol!
Jess - I know that rash... I had a minor case of it when I was working at a childcare centre. Apparently it's transferred thru saliva, and I was washing all the dishes and cutlery for 45 kids... I got the rash all over my fingertips and it was awful. Like burning hot needles tracing my fingerprints... *shudder* apparently it's quite common in kids, nurses, childcare workers etc. Doctors were useless tho, and I am SO lucky it didn't progress to mouth ulcers and the likes. Poor Jordan! Get healthy, little man! Good luck with it.
    BBL!
