Oh my goodness. I am so happy today. Yasmeenia had her two naps (total of 3 hours), she usually has 2, 2 hour naps. She was in bed by 7:30pm, woke up at 9:30pm quick feed, back in her cot, she cried for 8 minutes and settled herself. I pray tomorrow is the same. I also managed to do a bit of reading and answering questions as she played this morning. It's 10:10pm - home alone relaxing by myself. I needed this time, sent DH out! Out! Out with his friends so I can have alone time. It has been tough these days. Really tough. Maybe next weekend we might go out as a family and do something. Water based activities I was thinking because it is hot! I hate the heat. The air conditioner is always on. And mostly, I hate cooking, especially in this weather. I can't stand cooking lately. I hate it with passion but I have to cook because at the end of the day, I need to feed myself, hubby and sometimes Yasmeenia if the food is not spicy. I hate cooking!
Yasmeenia loves her walker. She loves bouncing up and down. I need to buy a high chair. Any suggestion ladies?
I already have a pram, would it be stupid to buy another one? Especially since DD is 7 months?
Ok, so I didn't get back online last night... too tired. Aadi's asleep now, so I'll do my best to cram in as much as I can before he wakes up!
Sassy - OMG, how could your friend not know?? Whatever, stranger things have happened, I s'pose... just hope her and her bubs are ok! How are you going back at work now? Is it better with the reduced hours? I hope it's easier for you and not so stressful. You need some energy and time for yourself. I wonder when Jayda will get some teeth!? My friend's son is a day younger than Aadi and he doesn't have any teeth either. His mum reckons Aadi will have a whole mouthful before her boy even gets one tooth! All kids get teeth eventually tho! In their own time. Hopefully they'll all pop up nice and easy, and you wont have too much more sooking to deal with.
Jess - I hope you're over the tonsillitis. Bleurk, it's so horrible! I used to get it a lot too, so I don't know how you're handling it with two kids to look after! I could barely look after myself... You've done really really well to get to 7 months breastfeeding, and you've been thru so much in order to keep trying so I hope you're proud of yourself. It's quite an achievement! And maintaining such a positive attitude about it even if it's just about over, that's great. Personally, I'd be happy to be able to wear normal bras again, and not go around with milk on my shirts all the time! I'm pretty over that... I still can't get my head around wearing BF-friendly clothes, it's so hard to get dressed to go out knowing that you might have to get your BBs out discreetly!
Bec - yay! Cameron crawled! Look out, house! At least you got your Christmas tree packed away before that happened... could have been dangerous! It's great that he's getting so talkative now too. What a clever boy! As for giving bubs milk, I'm personally going to wait until Aadi is over 12 months, as I'm lactose intolerant and there's a pretty good chance he is too. I had something with cream and milk in it last week and it made me so sick, and Aadi was unwell too. The milk proteins are too hard for him to digest, and they're carried thru in breast milk. It's not so much the lactose, as it's in breastmilk as well, but the proteins. Or something like that. Either way, I've still got too much milk of my own to need to give him some from another animal!
Abb - congrats on DP's promotion! That's great, especially if it means you don't have to work as much. I hope Hamish is back to his old self again now. I know what you mean about those nights from hell... we've had a couple of those lately, but I'm pretty sure it's due to the top teeth cutting thru. It's certainly no fun when it happens on holidays, and we were tempted to come home early too. It's great that Hamish is clapping and waving! That's awesome! Aadi has waved a few times now, the first time was at my mum's partner. He also said his name (Andy) so he was thrilled. Now Aadi starts to wave, then as soon as he realises what he's doing he stops and looks at his hands. Silly boy
Nikki - I hope Abbie gets thru this clingy phase soon! It must be really hard for you. Wow, you got spoiled for Christmas! New laptop must be fun. I got a Bunnings gift voucher... special, no?? Shame about the MIL issues... you can borrow mine of you like! She's lovely, and doesn't speak english, so it's a pretty good deal
Mecil - nice to hear from you again! Good to hear that things are going well for you guys. I'll have the vegie mush rather than buttons and rubber bands any day! lol!
Deancey - congrats on Liam's first tooth on Christmas day!
Girl - well done on getting Yasmeena to sleep! I hope you can sort out a regular routine and keep it going. I can't believe your neighbour called the police, especially if she has kids of her own. How's the study going? I know what you mean about hating cooking... I used to be a chef, and working in places like Dubai where it's 50 degrees plus in the kitchen just makes you want to crawl into the fridge and go to sleep!! I'm ok with it now, and I'm off to make up a triple batch of cookies to say thanks to my neoghbours for keeping an eye on our house and collecting our mail while we were away!
Ok, kiddo's awake, gotta go... I hope I didn't miss anyone!!
Just going to do post about us, as don't think I'll have time before Cam wakes to do personals, especially as gotta go hang his clothes out any moment now.
Had a busy few days. I met up with the ladies and bubs from mothers group on friday, hadn't seen most of them for about 2 months, as we'd all kinda got busy with holidays and christmas things going on. We met at a park along the beach. It was nice to see them again and see how much their bubs have grown...its amazing what can change in 2months. I felt so bad though, as when I noticed when I got home Cam was a little sunburnt...GRRR!!! (angry at self). Silly me forgot to pack his hat...as I had washed it and put it back with his swimming stuff (as always put it on when he goes swimming - it's the only time he really goes in the sun). I did cover him in suncream (even his hair) and sat in the shade, but I kinda missed a little spot just under his eyes (as was trying not to get it in his eyes) and his head was a tad red too. I've now got another hat now...which will always remain in the bag. The redness disappeared the next day though, so it wasn't too bad...but never again...naughty mummy.
Then Friday night we went to our friends whos got the foot cancer...she is going in tomorrow to have it cut out and will find out what will happen next from there. She was so excited to see Cameron, so it was good to be able to cheer her up. We don't talk about her cancer though, she is very sensitive about it, so there was a few awkward moments. Very opposite to my other friend with the hodgkins lymphoma, who is so chatty and positive about it. She is also been very kind to offer to look after Cameron when I go back to work too, on the Thursday and Friday and at this stage am considering it.
I heard back from the child care centre and the silly people wanted us to start the 2days by end of January. I had to remind them that I only wanted 1 day from late February then 2 days from May. They will need to fill that place with someone else for now, but said they should be able to suffle kids around by May for us. But with this friend offering to look after Cameron and then my Mum also able to look after him...I'm not concerned if we don't get in for a little longer. I would like him to go to child care at some stage though, as I want him to mingle with other children (we don't see other friends bubs as often as we should).
I've still been giving Cameron cow's milk on his cereal in the mornings, still no problems. I wouldn't think Cameron would be likely to be effected by anything, as DH and I (and our families) don't have any allergies to anything so I guess we are lucky there. Thinking I might mix some grated cheese in his vegies tonight.
Well better go, it's taken me about 40mins to type this, as ducked off to do some housework in between, and now Cam's up. Hope everyone's having a nice weekend.
nana: yeah work is so much better now i have cut down my hrs and in 2 weeks time i am cutting down another day wooo hooo lol

Nana
Glad you are back, have been wondering how things were on your holiday. Seems like you had a great time and aadi had a experience with the heat and atleast you know he loves the water anykind by the sounds of it. I took Hamish to the beach Friday he loved it also but was a bit hesitant with the water, the ocean is very cold here not like qld water. Hamish is back to normal now i think *crosses fingers*, he has slept through last 3 nights again but top teeth are still not cut yet. soon hopefully.
Girl :woot: on yasmeena sleep, i hope it continues for you, especially now you are back to studying.
Bec Hamish also got a little sunburnt, he had sunscreen and a hat on, it was hard to avoid without being indoors all day, his was only a light pink and was also gone next day but i did feel terrible.
Dont really have alot to tell atm, everything is slowly getting back to normal around here, Dp is officially back to work tomorrow, although he did go in a few times last week whilst on holidays. Will be busy getting Maddi's things for school this week, dont want to leave everything until week before as alot of the time the stores are out of things and she would freak if she didnt have everything for secondary school it is a big deal for her to have same as everyone else. Hamish has been pulling himself up on things also, we were at a friends today and he was trying to stand up by pulling himself up on a dolls house but instead pulled it back on top of him falling on his back on the floor, he started giggling as if it was a good trick, was very funny to watch. Ok i best be off to bed.
Great to see you Mis-Tree. Sorry to hear Jess' DD is sick. Make she have a speedy recovery.
Today DD had one nap. So she went to bed at 6pm, she is still asleep. I accidently woke her up when I went into the bedroom to get something. I played with her for a few minutes, she wasn't in the mood despite the laughs and smiles she wanted to go back to sleep.
