    Kim you crack me up.
You can visit me any time.

Katy is getting taller and taller and she's losing some of those legs rolls now that she is mobile.

She's a cheeky monkey though, like most 1 year olds.
Tonight while in the bath I pointed at her and said 'Kaitlyn sit down', so what does she do she points back at me and goes 'nana na na' in the exact same syllables and tones as me. It was hard not to laugh. They're wonderful little creatures aren't they!? Love her to death. She sat after I counted to three though. She's great company now. I love it.

Puffer not 'kicking in' yet, nor the antibiotics but what can one expect after one day..... ? Had a major coughing fit from Blacktown to Strathfield on the train to work today (for the non Sydneysiders its about 35 minutes on a good day). I had no water with me either. I was so embarrased. and you know how when you are trying not to cough and it only makes it ten times worse? Well that was me this morning.
This dear old man walks up to to my seat and offers me a fisherman's friend and says, there you go you poor love. Bless him I say. Made my morning it did. I hate FF's, but it actually worked until Central at least.

Well my little monkey is not going down tonight. Mark's on a late shift so better go and give her some 'motherly tone'.

    Take care all

    Morning girls!

Well today i have woken up ok. Until i got out of bed.

Due to my consitpation (sorry if TMI) i have started taking this compressed fruit laxative. It says to take before bed so i took it for the first time lastnight. So then thismorning i get up and i am start getting contractions immediately. They are coming about 1 min apart and lasting about 30 seconds. I also felt just like i did the minute i felt after my waters broke with Briley. I felt sick in the stomach and like i needed to move my bowels. Ofcourse i start to panic but then i remember that laxative. So i went to the toilet and managed too move my bowels (sorry again!) and now the contractions have stopped. I am getting some weird feelings down there still though. Sharp like pains. So now i am wondering wether taking the laxatives is a good idea seeing as i have an irritable uterus. Might just see how it goes i suppose cause i hate being constipated all the time.

Went to the Dr's yesterday. Was expecting to have an u/s to check what was happeing with this rib pain. Last Dr said they needed to check on my kidneys. But as per usual, i saw another Dr yeseterday who reckons the pain i am experiencing in my right side ribs and around is muscular!!! I get the same sh*t every time i go there. They are quick to diagnose every pain that you have as ligament or muscular pain. I am so over it!! Don't get me wrong i am glad they think its nothing serious.

Kim - LOL - To cold and wet to sleep in a tent up here!!! I hate having to go in there so much. I feel like such a major drama queen!!! I was'nt near as nervous with Briley as i am this time. I suppose just from everything that happened earlier on in the pregnancy has just made me jittery.

Leanne - Briley is the same lately! Only she laughs at you when you try and tell her not to do something. Lastnight she got in the bath and tried to walk real quick straight over to the ducks and slipped and felt flat on her back and bumped her head. It took us a while to get her back in there but once we did she was right. She kept trying to walk around in there and i was telling her to sit down and she did!! She musta knew what would happen if she did'nt. She is not always so obedient though!! But i do love her company! She makes me laugh big time!

I am exactly like you now when i have a cough. I had a coughing fit in the middle of a lecture when i was at uni. At least i could walk out though!! How nice of the old man. Hope your feeling better soon hun.

Sheree - Well you sound like you had an alright time in Mackay!! Kinda!! Glad to hear that Lachie is growing well.

Nat - Don't go grocery shopping hungry!!!! I know i do it all the time and end up buying stuff i feel like eating at the time!! Try and have a big meal before you go. I have also been sticking to a shopping list. I write down things i need as i use them at home and then when i go shopping i stick to that list like glue!! I have noticed a decrease in our shopping bill cause of this too.

You have been a real busy bee lately have'nt you. You must be one big ball of energy!

Elissa - Do you mean Sedagel??? For my tooth i mean??? Thats what i was using for Briley for her gums. It thats what you mean. I did'nt think to try anything like that. I wonder if that would stop the headaches and pain around the gum...might give it a try! Thanks.

    Hi everyone else!!

Well i was planning on doing the washing today seeing as we have a giant basket full! But its still raining and cold. Its been raining her for about 2 weeks now. We have had one morning of sun and that was last saturday i think. It has been raining and overcast ever since. And its expected to continue through till mid next week! Kinda sucks when you don't own clothes dryer!!

    Have a great day girls!

shereejoy - great to hear from you! Poor bub having the poos (poor you to) sounds like the dayspa appointment came at just the right time.

nat - its really sad giving away all their little baby things isn't it? i am jicking myself for giving his stuff away now that we have decided to try for another one, oh well, good news is i get to go shopping again! It will be nice to see your friends baby wearing the clothes though. Arch is cutting another tooth atm too. Im with ya on the grocery bill, even without buying disposable nappies and hardly any formula my bill is still a bit over the top.

leanne - what a lovely man to give your a ff. lol at Katy telling you off in the bath, they are very bossy now arent they. i hope your motherly tone worked well.

sara oooothose conractions sound nasty, hope they cleared up your poos though. i mean sedalotion, made by same people as sedagel, but sedalotion is meant to be for 2years and up 9the pharmacist told me to use it on Arch though, maybe its stronger than the gel, im not sure) anyway its good stuff, hope the sedagel works just as well for you. it is constantly raining here too i have a dryer though thank goodness, do you have a laundry mat close by, that would be difficult being pg and having a toddler around. Do you have lots of clothes how are you coping without being able t dry your clothes??

i felt so guilty this morning i was putting Archies gumboots on him and i (stupid me) lifted his foot up and he slipped backwards and whacked his head on the back door, he was really upset and trying to talk and cry at the same time, it was kinda cute in a sick way but i felt extremely guilty. Hes back in bed now, woohoo, me time!

Oil of cloves I tell you Sara! It works wonders for tooth pain (or maybe it just tastes so bad you forgetlol). I learnt that doing my nursing training in the country. Far out that hospital sounds painful!

Don't feel bad Elissa he won't remember tomorrow. Darcy prefers to get dressed standing up now and lifts her feet so you can put her pants on. It's even easier to put her nappy on that way. What sort of cloth nappies do you use? Nat put me onto them and we use them full time too. Lots of people are horrified by that....not to mention the BF lol.

LOL Leanne I hate FF too! Was nice that there are still concerned strangers though. Don't come across too many.

Nat I shop at Aldi. I used to hate it, but we buy mainly fresh food so I only buy the basics there. I make pretty much everything we have from scratch, so we don't have a lot to buy. Their cleaning products are pretty goo and most is made in Australia so I'm happy about that. Yeah the profits go OS but where don't they? I do the list thing too and plan meals so I'm not wondering when i'm there. I get meat from the butcher at the amount I need, I can do a week for about $70-80 that way.

Got Darcy weighed this morning and she finally hit the 10kg mark at 10.4kg. Does anyone else have a regular MCHN they go too? I love mine she's so helpful an I really miss her when she's away when I go. She remembers all the kids. We chatted for 45minutes this morning. DH thought I'd gotten lost! We're not doing too much. Finally there is a sun so I'm making most of it.

ETA CHRISTINE!!! YOu have to try the Shrek McFlurry - it's very good!!!

kim - i found a baby shop in town that sells mcn, so i bought 16 of em, now i only have to wash every third day, woohoo. they are Pea Pods pockets they are fantastic so easy i will never touch a terry square again, except maybe to use as a spew rag. What nappies are you using? I am trying to psych myself for bfing the next bub, i only lasted 5 weeks with Arch due to his op, reflux and lack of support at the time. i really loved it before he got reflux though, and am looking forward to that special bond you have when you feed. yeah i must say it is very impressive to hear that you are a working, bfing, cloth nappying mum, what a champion! How did bf go when Darc started teething? mmmmm shrek mcflurry, sounds great. Archie is obsessed with Shrek casue everything at the supermarket has Shrek on it, he even will sit and watch the movie (sad i know, handy when he wakes in a grump though)

I have peaods, a couple of homemade ones off Ebay, a bubblebut, a baby beehinds nappy, 2 pocket change ones which i highly recommend, and a Happy Heiny Print one which is quite cool. I have 14 but I'm determined to get some more as 2 in cloth will be a challenge with that many.

I'm not a champion, just a determined pig headed person lol. I believe I can achieve exactly what I want.

The BF hasn't changed since she got teeth. SOmetimes she bites but nowhere near as bad as Ryan bit Shazz. If she does I just put her on the floor. She gets it real quick when the milk bar closes.

Check out the new BBH AIO's - they are only $15 till 29th June with free postage. Bargain I say! They're called Magic Alls. I'll probably get 2 and I'd say we're set for part time cloth then.

Hi girls, about to go out so not much time to post.
Sara- you are having such a hard pg you poor thing, maybe this will be the best sleeping most angelic baby in the world to make up for it LOL Sorry the weather is just as foul up there as here. I got a dryer on ebay a few years ago for $50 and it is a lifesaver.
Kim- Riley has only bitten me once but it was more experimental than to hurt me, he's having a morning and night feed now, what is Darcy having? Have you had many comments? I had a friend ask me if I was still bf (a month ago) and when I said yes, she said well you can stop that on sunday (Riley's birthday) I hadn't really thought much about feeding beyond 1 but he's happy and still enjoying it and it stops my AF so whats not to love!!
Nat- i remember when I gave away Jess' stuff, it was really hard but things have a way of turning out eventually.
Hope everyone else is well, have a mother's group dinner tonight, DH has the poos I am going but oh well!! Working tomorrow on a really foul yr6 so i will earn my money!

Yeah true Vic, hadn't thought of that. Just going on my nephew who was over three before he was toilet trained even for the day.

Yep Christine I get comments from anyone who cares to ask how I feed Darcy. But it's not just the comments, it's the look you get even if they don't say anything. Darcy still feeds 3 times a day. Morning noon and night, though can go without if I have to go to work.

    Hi Girls...

Christine: Hope you're feeling better. Rotten when illness goes through the whole family.

Leanne: you too! good news about MIL. How sweet the old man giving you a fishermans friend! And you've trained Katy well if she responds to the 1,2,3. Shaun would have no idea what I was doing if I started counting.

Elissa: Isn't Archie a dream child! There is no way Shaun would go down for his night sleep at 7pm. But then again... sometimes his afternoon nap goes from 4pm to 6pm. He normally wakes around 9am.. but sometimes he just sits in his cot quietly until 10.30am! We've trained him well!

Sheree: good to see you back buddy! Hope you enjoyed your day spa treatment. Eewww... 10 nappies a day! Shaun has had a couple of ripper poo's lately. good news about your u/s & mammogram.

Nat: how cute that Em says 'wow'! and proper kisses must be a relief. I dread the big open mouthed slober monkey coming towards me!! Don't ask me about grocery tips. I'm sure I throw out 50% of my groceries! My vege bin has something formally known as rhubarb in the bottom of it!

Kim: Is Darcy a giant? I never realised she was so tall. Are you or DH tall? both of you, hey? What is your employment history?? - you were a nurse before being a cop? I've got a regular MCHN too, and I really like her. Kim the green boxes are reputation points. If you check your profile, you can see if anyone has left you a comment. You also get points for number of posts, and how long you've been a member. There was a huge post all about it, but Kelly locked it yesterday. Just another gimmick... for a months trial.

Sara : you poor love. You have had the most dramatic pregnancy!

Shazz : hugs to you sweetie. Poor Ryan... and you having to handle it alone.

I had a great day shopping today. Was just meant to get a present for a friends 2yo. then I remembered I needed another 2yo present. I was going between Big W & Kmart (the only choices at my shopping centre) and then I got some absolute bargains! There was an inflatable soccer arena (boundry, goals & the ball)... normally $70 and marked down to $15!!! I got one for Shaun... and got two more for presents! I also got these cute soft toys that you can post... normally $15 marked down to $3.

I inflicted excrutiating pain on myself tonight. I was about to put shaun in his cot, and somehow my thumb got stuck on the wood... pulled it back and the thumbnail was bent back at right angles... and had pulled away from the skin! It was nearly half way down and all I could see was red (bloody) skin and my nail bent backwards. So I bent it back flat again and was in so much pain I nearly cried. All I could do was hold it tight to stop the throbbing. Hours later, it still hurts, but nowhere near as painful.

tell me girls... what do your kids really enjoy eating? Shaun loves cheese and yogurt. (apparantly I lived on that at the same age). He also likes melted cheese on toast (cut into soldiers). I keep meaning to cook up a load of meals for him - rissottos, pastas etc.. but I never seem to find the time!

well... nearly midnight. every night I say I want an 'early' night. Ha!
Shaun is getting his injections tomorrow. Hope he handles it alright.
