Morning ladies,

I was having issues with BB lastnight and could only get into my Belly Buddies forum. Had a few dramas yesterday and this is what i posted.

Well i ended up back at the hospital today. I have my labret(chin) peirced and i woke up thismorning and it was very sore and swollen. I have had a few issues with swollen feet and legs the last few days aswell. I mentioned to Brent that my peircing was swollen and he said that my face was aswell. I also noticed that might fingers and feet were again pretty swollen. This made me a little concerned about my BP.

So anyways, i went and got it checked at a chemist and it was 140/90. So i called the birth suite and they said to some straight in. I went there and everything was fine. Including my BP. When they took it at the hospital it was only 120/65!!! I told them about getting it done with one of those automatic BP machines and they reckon they are a load of crap. So i just got bloods, urine and all the rest taken and sent home. They do want me to go and get my BP checked a couple of times before my clinic appointment next wednesday.

While i was there i was getting niggly pains as usual they were showing up on the CTG. At one point i had the strongest contraction which lasted about 90 seconds. The midwife had come back into me just as i was starting this contraction and started to watch the baby's heart rate while i was having this contraction. The heart rate dipped big time while i was contracting. It dropped to under 100BPM. Luckily i did'nt have another one. I am now beginning to wonder how baby will go come real labour time. I hope it does'nt go into stress and i end up needing a c/sect! I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I am ok thismorning. Swelling has gotten worse though. I can't close my hands properly cause they are swollen that much. Hopefully it will go down later on.

I woke up at 5.15am thismorning to a VERY strong contraction. Just like the one i had while i was at the hospital. But ofcourse it was the only one i had! I could'nt help but worry that bubs heart rate was dropping while i was getting it. They last for so long though. It lasted about 2 mins. Not sure whats going on.

So sorry for the lack of personals. It has all been about me lately. I feel terrible for that. I do read everyones posts though. So i am aware that some of you are'nt having such a grand time with certain things. I am thinking of you all.

Oh and BTW, Briley had a blast at DC. Brent being male and all, he did'nt ask much about how she went so all i know was that she enjoyed herself.

Jess just got $2500 tax refund, must be nice to her for a while!!

OMG!!! That's awesome for her. We've got our back so that was his, dunno aobut next year though...will keep the receipts.

sheree - thankyou so much for the support, i agree that ttc increases the anxiety, we ttc 14 months last time so im thinking we'll be in for the long haul again, just kinda want to get it all over and done with IYKWIM. 4 is my lucky number so i hope its lucky for you and your forth onth ttc is lucky! I have made an appointment with my GP the week after next to discuss anxiety and possible depression either ante-natal or post-natal (or if im really lucky, both!), talked to DH about it and he is extremely supportive and realises totally that we may be in for a hard time during and after next pg, so at least we can arm ourselves with info and know when to seek help.

sara - oh your porr battered body, hope your tuff little bubba stays strong and energetic for you for the labour.

christine - ooooo i'd like to be Jess right now....

Archie grew an inch in 2 months that must be why he is eating us out of house and home! he is 82.5cm, how long is everyone else??

Wow Elissa Archie is tall! Riley is 75cm (or was a month or so ago) He eats like a horse too, he sometimes eats more than Erin.

Had Darcy weighted and measured yesterday - 10.8kg and 80cm tall.

Elissa I had severe ante and post natal depression (can't remember if we've tlaked about this or not). The worst thing I did was to not tell anyone until I couldn't bare it - that was 30weeks pregnant and I had suffered since practically I found out I was pregnant. All my support people are now aware (and I haven't had a history of mental illness at all prior to this). That's what keeps me strong. I ma usually competent and confident, but know they know the masks I was using. Good on you for being proactive.

thanks a lot for sharing Kim, yes we had touched on anxiety before but very briefly. I hve made my DH and sister aware and will soon be making my GP aware, they are the only people who know we are ttc again so i am trying to muster up some support when and if its needed. Thanks for the encouragement.

I actually thought that Archie was kinda on the short side til he was playing with a little boy at the playground who he was taller than and the grandma told me he was 19 months old (he is aparently short though), he should be on the tall side as i am 5 foot 10 and DH is only a teeny bit shorter than me. I didn't officially weigh Archie (i was too lazy to strip him off, or do the calculations after weighing him fully dresesed!) I did weigh him on our scales though and he was 12 kilos, he feels a lot heavier!

i have 12 Pea Pod Pocket nappies, 2 mother ease covers and 6 bamboo boosters to sell if anyone is interested. Nappies hardly used, covers and boosters never used.

Elissa I have way too many nappies (thanks Nat) but I can always do with extra boosters and covers - how much do you want for them?

ETA why don't you try ebay?

im not too technologically savvy so Ebay just scares me, but maybe i could check it out...

Im thinking $15 each for the covers and $5 each for the boosters......really don't have much clue though....

Elissa my SIL is into MCN I will ask her is she is interested.
BTW I have PND and have been on medication for years (it was diagnosed when Erin was nearly 1) I let it get to a really really bad stage before I sought help and would urge you to get help early. There are many meds that help anxiety and some you can take throughout pg. I took my antidepressants throughout my pg as the doctor considered my mental health to be very important and the risk to the baby minor (I know this could start a war but its just what my ob said!) My PND flared up again when Riley was sleeping so badly and I had to increase my dose, also coping with 3 children an one of them a baby was a bit of a struggle but its all good now! Remember you are not alone , there are more people out there with depression that you realise.

My mum and dad are so lovely. They just treated Darcy and I to a Harbour Cruise Lunch. It is the nicest day and Darcy loved the boat so much hse fell asleep. lol.
