Yay Sara the end is definitely in sight, now it will happen now there is a plan in place I reackon!
Elissa - as Kim said, bugger it you aren't well, I would have left it there too!
Vic - OMG first haircut, I think Lachlan has had about 8 or maybe 9 my now lol.
Kim - awwgh throat infection, ewww.... poor thing! So glad she is not weaning then either. Yeah I think I am pretty ok with the shared care situation, guess even going to Mackay when I do go will put me behind with my paperwork, so I am glad I don't have to go too often. Have an extension with the accountant atm, as I am sooooo behind.
How's your tooth today Shazz?
Well everyone I feel bloody awful today/2nite. Feel like I have been hit by a truck. This cold just feels like it is getting worse and worse, I just feel like I am getting it all over again now, my ears are even playing up now and my throat is like razor blades and I am all clogged up and can hardly speak. I reakon up until now I have sounded worse then I feel, but today I definitely feel as bad as I sound.
I have also only today been getting this pain under my right arm, I am assuming it is my glands. I remember complaining about this with the first pregnancy (the twins I m/c). Funny thing I had forgotten about that until I got the same pain this arve and then I was like, ohhh yeah that is right! Bloody hormones! It is so sore though and only under my right arm.
Poor Darcy, hope she feels better soon. I don't think Riley will ever want to wean LOL I stopped feeding Erin just after 12 months and we were both ready but Riley seems to have no desire to at all!
Elissa you poor darling, there is nothing worse than being sick with littlies you don't get any rest at all. Hopefully you'll feel better soon or else DH will start nursing you!
Sara- well my guess was wrong! I hope the stretch and sweep helps, it helped me with Erin, I had one on the Wednesday and had her on the Friday. Glad Briley seems to be liking CC, it will be lovely for her to play with other kids Riley loves it.
Sheree- congrats hope everything goes well and you don't get any m/s.
Shazz- men are pigs love!!
having tomorrow off then doing an extra day on Kindy on Friday which I may regret!! Kindies are pretty full on. It was Erin's teacher's birthday today so Erin and I made cup cakes for the whole class and surprised her teacher which was fun. Riley fell and bumped his head at FDC today, his carer was so upset about it, I am so used to him with head bumps now!!
Jess has work experience next week, she is going to the pre school next door to school where both she and Erin went. She wants to do nursing when she leaves school but couldn't get a place doing that for work exp. the preschool is happy to have her and she is great with young kids. She had to put in her subject choices for yr 11-12 last week which made me feel old!! She would really like to do law but I don't think she'll get the marks,so she is happy to do nursing if she doesn't get into law.
Hope everyone I have rudely forgotten is well and forgives me LOL.
Just about to hop into bed. Been getting some strong irregular contractions tonight. I am hoping i might get a good sleep in and wake up early tomorrow morning to either my water REALLY breaking or to active labour!
Shazz - For me the S & S did'nt hurt one bit. I am not sure the Dr was doing it properly though as she only had short fingers. I could feel her touching the opening of the cervix though. When i was overdue with Briley the Dr made an attempt at one and it really hurt. My cervix was way too far back for her to get at. But yeah today's effort was fine. I have been having lots of sharpy period type pain from it though. I just hope it works!
We are half way through the week - thank goodness for that!.... Actually come to think of it we are OVER HALF WAY!
Boy there's a bit of news going on here.
Kim: Griffith?
Sheree: Congratulations.
Shazz: Your poor tooth.
Sara: Got to be a boy I reckon.
Elissa and everyone else who's sick: You poor love.
Ummmmmm...
Well we had our bout of sickness again last week. Katy had an ear inf in both ears, and an upper respiratory tract infection and her chest was so rattly. CC called me two days in a row to say she had a high temp, and I thought she was just teething. Took her to the doctor didn't I? She's just finished her week of anti biotics and is on the mend. No sign of teeth but. STill only 6. Feel like a shocker of a mum, but hey you get that.
Work's been pretty full on. One of the girls who used to help me is on study leave for 4 months (full time uni) so it's harder than usual. Tired would be an understatement.
Katy's not sleeping through at the moment either. Wakes up cold I think. We left the heater on last night (thank goodness for gas) and she slept through so hopefully that's all it was.
She's started saying 'hallo mummmm and hallooo dad' which is so cute. Also says it when we are saying good bye. Funny how they talk but don't really know what it means yet. Love it.
Anyone got any hot tips on how to get rid of psoriasis on the head / legs. Never really had issues with it before but at the moment it is really bad. I touch my hair and it snows on my shoulders. So embarrassing when wearing a black suit pretty much every day.
I've had a bit of a 'google' and could stress be a factor you think? Any natural remedies anyone knows of.
The chemist recommended some shampoo but not recommended for colour treated hair. Don't want to wreck the hair colour. Costs me a bomb!!!
Anyway, enough rambling from me for the night.
Hope you are all well, and sorry if I missed anyone.
Again . . . . hang in there Sara, you'll be meeting your 'little man' soon. If you have it on Sunday, that's my BIRTHDAY!!!!
LOL Ryan still hasn't had a hair cut yet i just can't do it he has such beautiful curls at the back and i've never had a kidlet with curls my hair is dead straight ( naturally hehe )
leanne i did read a thread in here somewhere about psoriasis treatments could be in medical conditions and yep i reckon flare ups could have something to do with stress hope you find something to clear it up
Still bloody here! Not showing any signs of labour either. This is just getting so frustrating. Surely i have to have had the baby by the end of the weekend. I really want to avoid an induction at all cost but if next wednesday comes and i still have'nt had bubs i will be there with bells on.
Quite shockingly Brent was very willing to DTD lastnight. I think he wants to get this baby out as much as i do now. I was shocked. I really expected his to say no when i asked if he wanted to DTD. Earlier on in the night he asked if i thought anything was going to happen tonight. I said i was having a few contractions but was'nt timing them and i did'nt know. I said to him "Why?" He said "Just wondering!!" WTF???? This was so totally out of line for him. So yeah he must be getting impatient too.
I had an pretty good sleep. No pains at all through the night. A few when i got up thismorning but more period pain like that contractions. I am quite tired thismorning though. I did plan to do a few things around the house like ironing, washing and a few outdoor activites but i am feeling too tired. I think a good walk around outside fixing up the chooks, dogs and goose's waters will do me good. Its overcast here but and not really appealing!!
Briley is ok. Still has a runny nose and a terrible cough. I have got a cough too now. Briley has really gone off her food the last few days too. She only picks at things and will only eat things that she likes which are normally snacky things. I am pumping the fluids into her though. So cause of her cold she missed DC today and if she is not sick will have a "make-up" day tomorrow. I still have to pay if she does'nt go.
Well Shazz...this is the last guess for you today huh!!!! We have until 12.00am. I am going to try a bit of nipple stimulation today and see if that gets things going. I really think baby should be out by the end of the weekend. Fingers crossed.
Hope you are all well....
BBL
Oh and....
I'M DUE TOMORROW!!!!!!

well come on lol you only have 14 .5 hours till my guess doesn't count so please bubba come out and play
any way off to the dentist ouch i hate dentists
I can't even remember the date I guessed now Sara. Hopefully it is by the end of the weekend for you honey.
Who was talking about Phnergen. I think I am going to try some soon if Lachlan's sleeping patterns do not get any better!
Wade went and slept in the other bed last night, was sick of hearing me coughing I think and said he can't afford to get sick as well! I understand but geez, bit of sympathy would be nice too
My glad underneath my arm is still sore, but not as bad as yesterday.

vic - my sister didn't have her first hair cut til she was 4 years old, we are very slow at growing hair! I think it will be quite a while before Archie needs to go to the hairdresser! Does Mel like getting her hair cut? Sorry to hear that Adam is keeping you both up at night, that is so frustrating and everything always seems worse at night too.
sheree - oh no! you just reminded me that the bath is full of pooey water and toys....bugger! im so sorry your cold is still awful, sounds like we have identical colds, but having it whilst g must be awful you can't even take cold and flu tablets, they are all that is keping me sane, is there anything that you are taking/doing to help ease the symptoms?? I really do hope it gets beeter quickly. I remember the sore glands during early pg, i put it down to growing boobs, gosh i hope mine don't grow again next pg! Love the new pic of Lachlan, very cute. DH nearly slept in the lounge last night too cause of my fever and snoring with my blocked up head! being sick sucks
christine - thanks for your sympathy, DH is pretty good at looking after me, not as good as a woman would but pretty good for a man he he. I can't believe your daughter is so big already! Its great that she has a goal to work towards for the next couple of years.
leanne - i can't believe the run of sickness' you have had lately you poor things!! Archie was waking up 6 times a night for a while there, so i bought a polar fleece sleeping bag suit and put a little column heater in his room and he has prety much slept through ever since, hope Katy's wakefullness is as easily cured! Sorry i don't have any suggestions for the psoarisis but i do know how embarrassing it can be to have snowy shoulders sometimes.
kim - you poor thing, i wish i could give you a magic recipe for sleep! i agree with Leanne i have heard that Phenergan is great just to help break the cycle of sleeplessness, its very personal as to whether or not to use drugs to gain some sleep, i personally will do ANYTHING to get sleep and would definately try a night on Phenergan (i realise it depends on the illness though...) anyway goodluck i hope something works soon. sorry for the rambleing
sara - oh you must be soooo close now! Thank god for inductions is all i can say, I was going completely made when i watched my due date come and go with no sign of labour at all. i didn't end up needing the induction, i went into labour only minutes before they inserted the gels! there is hope for you yet!
shazz - goodluck at the dentist
i didn't know a cold could cause so much pain and discomfort! I have been a person who rarely gets sick so this cold is really knocking me around, you would think that after going through pg, labour, birth and bfing a cold would be a walk i the park, but oh no, not for this sooky la la. DH bought me some cold and flu tablets last night and he had to produce photo I.D. and answer a set of questions on why he wanted the tablets! WTF!!! What is our world coming to???
Well Brent's aunty just left after giving me a all body massage with focus on my pressure points. She is a remedial massage therapist so she know how it all works. I don't normally like massages and today i found it why!!! It hurt!! Esp my back and neck. I suppose cause all the muscles were tense.
So if the massage worked...i should go into labour in the next 24 hours!!!! Imagine....a due date baby!!!
Shazz - I am trying mate!!! Everyone wants this baby out now!! Esp me! Starting to get some period type pain since the massage. Fingers crossed it worked!
Good luck Sara hopefully the massage worked! One of us has to be right on the date LOL
Kim hope you are getting some sleep, I have to say that tresillian did work wonders for Riley and he has slept 7- 7.30ish ever since which has made a huge difference to my life but then again its not for everyone and it was pretty confronting at first.
Thanks girls. She's only sleeping so badly because she's really unwell, and getting MORE teeth farout. WHy couldn't she pace it out instead of getting every single one in 2 weeks???
Sara I was thinking about you today. Remember when we thought this baby was going to be born really early. I'm so glad that didn't happen for you.
Poor Elissa Yes you're right. Being sick sucks.
Those underarms sound a bit nasty Sheree. How cool is that picture of Lachlan?
How did the dentist go Sheree?
Nursing's not a bad profession Christine. Tell her I'll be cheering her on.
Leanne, yes psoriasis is caused by stress. I have tried everything to get rid of mine and really the only thing that works is eating well (lots of whole unprocessed fresh foods) and drinking lots of water. I have tried every tar shampoo, but didn't find any to be of benefit.
My Dad swears by head and shoulders, but I don't see any different.
Crushed aspro made into a paste and rubbed in 10 minutes before washing out - didn't work for me.
1000mg flaxseed oil 3 times daily (did work well for me) - but took a while
Sun and saltwater always help too.
On the rest of your body, I've tried lanolin, sorbolene, and most other things that say they work. I now use a product called Derm-aid when it flares up and always use a moisturiser our of the shower and sunscreen. The Derm-aid has steroid in it, but a mild enough dose to still use whilst BF.
I don't wash Darcy in anything by J&J and I never ever use soap. I have to wear gloves for contact with any chemicals too.
Gawd Kim and Leanne this condition sounds nasty, you poor things.
Comon bubba!
Thanks for you comments on lachlan's pic, he is my gorgeous little man.
Well my gland under my right arm is only sore to touch today which is a big improvement on yesterday, thank god! It was so sore, even without touching it. Still feel miserable, and I am considering going to bed very very soon! Just exhausted. I even felt a bit nauseas this afternoon, like the big breathe nauseas and having to sit down. Please don't tell me ms has started already. I am hoping it is all related to my cold, as is my terrible back pain. Really weird. I just want to get rid of this cold! I even had a rest with Lachlan this arvo and I never do that! So glad I didn't have to work, I don't think I could have done it.
Alright nighy nite ladies.
