I am not trying to TT Riley yet, he doesn't even tell me when he has pooed in his nappy although Erin gets him to wee on the toilet most nights when they have a bath (maybe I'll just let her do the TTing LOL) I found with Erin that leaving it later made it very quick and easy, she was a few months of 3 when I TTed her. I am going to try with Riley in the Christmas holidays when i am off for 6 weeks and he is older, also summer is easier.
Agggh the good ol tt hey! Lachlan use to back up to me and tell me he has done poo poo, but doesn't anymore. Doesn't show any interest in wees either. Sits on the potty for all of a few seconds.... way to busy to sit! I think now it is getting warmer here, in the next few months I am going to let him run around with no nappy on and see if he starts to understand. He hasn't even done a wee in the bath for such a long time, I am not even sure he knows what it is all about and what comes out of that thing.... hehe
Took lachlan back to the doc today. He has had a cold and a red inflamed ear. Dr wanted to check his right ear again after a few days of antibiotics. Now that the infection has settled he can see a hole in his eardrum. We have now been given a referral to see the specialist in Rocky.
This is going to be fun. 2 kids in a town I know no-one. 3.5 hours away. Not looking forward to the trip.... oh well..... gotta get it sorted.
Leanne be firm with your DC you are paying for a service you still have a say in what goes on with your child do the document what is done through the day with her if not do out your own daily plan what you want to happen and when if they don't like find another one who will there is no sense in you being so stressed over their lack it isn't fair that you work all day to be so frustrated when you get home you should be able to come home and enjoy the time you spend with her poo to them good luck hun
oh and i think i have finished my first draft so yay breathing space love it
Kim: Thanks, I am a lot more positive now the feeding issues are resolved. I really thought I was bordering PND for a little while there but it was only when Ashlea refused to feed. Hope Darcy gets better soon! WOohoo on the house, can't wait to see pics!
Elissa: Bugger hun! Although it happens it not common to fall pregnant the 1st month I think the highest % is between 6-12mths. I know its hard but try not to stress over it, I do know though how frustrating it is when you want something and to a certain extent you have no control over it....Its happened once it will happen again Oh if you need instructions for the tests let me know I will type it out for you. GL with TT, we ask J if he wants to go on the potty but not pushing it as he is not even close to being ready I don't think.
Shazz: When I worked at DC we used to take the TT'ing kids every 15 or 20mins, it was a PITA! haha but it worked.
Leanne: I would say something, TT'ing needs to be done always not when it suits otherwise poor Katy will get confused. Can you send to DC in undies then they'd know she has to use the toilet. I had the same problem with FDC not waking J when I asked, worst of all though its my SIL so she feels she has a say in what J does and doesn't do....I kept telling her I can't have J up at 10-11pm every night and she just kept saying its a vicious circle! Basically saying she doesn't want to wake him up and be cranky for her but its ok for him to scream and throw tantrums for his heavily pregnant FT working mother at 11pm every night! Sorry got off track a bit LOL....He has been good going to bed at night lately though so can't compain!
Christine: I've heard summer is great for TT little boys! LOL I think we'll be getting seriously into it then.
Sheree: Big for Lachie, I hope he gets better soon! Happy 3mths tomorrow Riley!!
Yesterday arve SIL#1 came over which was great cause she ran around with Jayden while I did washing etc, then she was about to leave when I mentioned that I was looking forward to a quiet night with the kids as Chris was going to squash, so she said "Oh if you're going to be on your own I'll stay" Grrrr....I WANTED a night with no one here so she held Ashlea while I cooked dinner for us all, then SIL#3 and niece came over too so no quiet night at all!
Ashlea was great last night, she fed and went to sleep at about 9.30pm I gave her a dream feed at 12.30am and she slept through until almost 7am! I think this is her routine for now and I am very grateful for it! Jayden is also sleeping through again and he hasn't had his dummy for 5 days now!
I went up to my work today as I haven't been there in a while and they are begging me to come back early! Its a great feeling being needed but they have buckleys of getting me back any time soon LOL. Still trying to find something I can do from home, FDC seems to be the only thing...work won't be impressed though!
Well I have to kids in bed asleep now, I probably should have a sleep myself before Ashlea's dream feed
I thought we had found a winner last night when someone mentioned rescue remedy for Katy to help her settle.
It worked last night, but guess who is still up? She lays in bed, settles down okay, quiet for about 5 minutes and then she slowly creeps out of her room and sneaks around the house as if we are not going to hear her.
Last night I got 8 hours sleep. I thought it was too good to be true. Best sleep I have had in about 6 months.
Mabye it's time I packed up work and told Mark I just have to stay home .... In my dreammms.
I totally give up...
Lachlan actually slept thru last night, whahooo... first night in quite some time.
My bubba boy is 12 weeks today and I have been breastfeeding for 12 weeks YAY!! Easiest 12 weeks of breastfeeding I tell you. Lachlan's 13 weeks felt like an eternity!
Riley is sleeping from 9 or 10pm thru till 7am. He has been doing this for about a week now. So I am guessing it is stuck. Well I hope so. What a good boy.
What a bugger Leanne re: the rescue remedy
Tania - yay on the good sleeps from Ashlea and bummer about not having a quiet nite. Always the way huh!
I went to a toilet training talk yesterday and they said TT happens between the age of 2.5 and 4. So there you go, plenty of time LOL!
