wow sheree! What a relief to finally have those great pap results!! Can hardly believe riley is 9 weeks already, not a newborn anymore. Hope its not reflux for you again, though it sounds as if it wont be any where near Lachlan's reflux thank goodness. I'd reckon that Lachlan has ben teary lately cause he isn't having his arvo sleep every day, maybe going thorugh one of those cranky transitional times, hope he gets over it quickly.
We are off back to stay at mums for a couple of nights tomorrow, have to get Archie's haircut, it is annoying Jay and I heaps, his fringe is always in his eyes. His perfect sleeping 12 hours a night has come to an end (of course), currently waking at 6 and going to bed after a fight at 9:30.
-
Sheree: One thing I am lucky about is both my kids have been good sleepers to begin with (Jayden, not so much now haha). Woohoo for the pap smear results, I go for mine in less than 2 weeks. I haven't had any abnormalities for years so I'm pretty confident it will be ok. Thats great Riley is doing so well! 6hrs is great sleep...Ashlea woke at 12.30am for a feed (I helped her wake up a bit) then I swaddled her and she slept through until 6.15 or a bit later. If that happens every night I'll be wrapped!
Re: Whingy toddlers!!! I have one as well, I get really frustrated with him at times which is really unlike me I'm usually quite calm and relaxed with Jayden. My poor boy though....I left him with SIL#1 yesterday while I was at child health, when I went to pick him up he was so lathargic looking and whingy, didn't know what he wanted etc...we took his temp and it was 39.1 so I took him straight home and gave him Dymadon. I went to feed Ashlea and SIL#1 stayed with Jayden and took his temp again and it had risen to 40.2 so she put him in the bath for about half an hr and his temp dropped to 38.2 then 37.6. I have no idea why he got the temp as he is on AB's ATM i thought because the AB's were fighting the infection then he wouldn't get a temp??? Does anyone know if this is right? I went in at about 5am and he still felt pretty warm and he was asking for juice (which he never has at that time before other than yesterday morning as well). He is still asleep now but I'll take his temp again when he gets up.
Elissa: Has Archie had a hair cut before or will it be his 1st? 6am is a bit early, I'm usually up around then but I'm not ready for a 2yo at that time LOL. I like to have brekki and a shower before Jayden wakes up.
My niece is getting a tattoo today, so I am going with her....I hope it doesn't make me want to get another one. Not much else planned for today, especially if Jayden isn't well. I have already put a load of washing on this morning and the sun is already out (although its probably cool out there still).
-
Hope Jayden feels better soon Tania.
Guess who woke with the sorest throat yesterday and a temp? Yep. Me
Must be catching what Katy has.
I think I need a holiday somewhere semi tropical.
-
I'll join you Leanne, my throat feels like razors are in it. Riley has got croup. I had him at emergency on Thursday night (well 1am friday) cause he couldn't breathe, they gave him a nebuliser and steroids and we got home just afetr 4am after i begged them to let us come home early cause he was wide awake and bouncing around. Now he is whingy and foul and won't sleep. The doctor said its the roids! (he has roid range LOL) I am so tired and fed up and frigging DH is whinging cause HE is so tired- I went to work on frday after my hospitalk visit and i was the one who spent til midnight last night tying to get R to sleep I AM FED UP WITH MEN
-
-
tania - I think antibiotics help fight infections but not virus, maybe Jayden had a bit of a virus as well?? It was Archie's 2nd haircut and he loved it, so cute! Is there anyone in the world who would be ready for a 2 year old at 6am!! Where and what is your last tatoo? I would like one but am way too wussy!
leanne - gosh, ANOTHER virus!!! lots of get well wishes x
christine - God, what a great few days and nights you have had! Is Riley okay now, no more roid rage? LOL
Am at Mum's still, heading home tomorrow. Looks like Jay and I are getting a new car each this week. He found a Fairlane that he is completely in love with, and i found a little Laser, i have been hanging for a little buzz box, it is a '97, will be nice to save on petrol!
I got SO scared this arvo! Arch and I have been sleeping in my sister's room and she has a tall mirror leaning against her wall, usually i remove it but this time i forgot. Archie ran over and pushed it and it just snapped in half and shardds of mirror went everywhere, he was covered in shards of glass!! Thank goodness his only injury was a small cut on his hand, i had visions of scars and hospital time. So, i hope we don't get 7 years bad luck!
On the TTC front, i am on CD 25, have my dr appointment on Wednesday, so will have to test then cause he will want to know if i am pg or not, am so nervous about testing cause the disappointment of a BFN sux, as you all know! Earlier in my cycle i had a morning of dull cramps and a tiny bit of light brown blood when i wiped, was wondering about implantation bleeding but i think it was too early for that. I have had dull cramps this morning again and i thought my pee was fluoro. But you know when u ttc and you make symptoms up?? AAARRRGHHH LOL
-
Fingers crossed Elissa!! I will have vicarious pgs through you guys now that I won't have any of my own. Glad Archie was OK from the mirror, gosh boys get into some stuff don't they? I can't believe how much Riley injures himself compared to his sisters.
Riley's roid rage seems to have subsided now he is off them, one of Erin's friends had a brain tumour last year and had to have them and her mum said she was the same.
Leanne- i hope you are feeling better, I have it again too. I have never in my whole teaching career seen a winter like this one for illness, we are having at leats 5 kids per class away every day, one day I had 9 off. Last thursday in assembly I think the whole school was coughing.
Hope everyone else is well, glad lachlan is such a good bub Sheree, you must be so relieved.
Shazz- hope the studying is going well.
-
Leanne: Thanks...Jayden is getting better, his temp was a little bit up the next day but was fine later on. How are you and Katy doing?
Elissa: Whatever it was thank god its gone LOL, I know others have it worse but I can't handle a sick 2yo and a newborn with no help from Chris. Thats great Archie liked his haircut! Jayden hates the scissors but is ok with the clippers. I have an angel on my lower back...I'll see if I can find pics of it and upload it to FB I had photos of me getting it done too. YAY for the new cars! I want a new car mine is costing heaps in petrol! OMG poor Archie, lucky he only got a little cut, fingers crossed he doesn't have 7yrs bad luck haha. I'm sending you lots of BFP vibes! I was convinced AF was coming when I was PG with Ashlea, I tested on the day I was due or the day after and even up until I tested I felt AF was coming. Try not to be too dissapointed if you don't get your BFP this month, it will happen :)
Sara: Good luck with moving!!!
Sheree: It was great chatting today, I will make more of an effort to do it more often....now things are getting better here.
We went to the Multicultural Festival today, poor Jayden was so exhausted from walking and it was sooo hot!! He loved the animal farm and the aboriginal dancing. I tried to give him his first taste of ice cream today but he didn't want it! Not complaining though haha. We have nothing planned for tomorrow, hopefully a quiet day at home. I have still got Ashlea's birth notice to put in the paper! Its so late but I can't not do it, might see if I can do it online.
-
Great fotos on FB Tania.
Boy you look different as a blonde!
We are all getting better over here.
Hello to everyone. Have a gr8 day.
-
Thanks Leanne :) I stayed up until nearly 2am uploading them...and reminising(sp?). Great to hear you are both getting better!
Both kids are asleep, I should be doing something productive, but I just can't be bothered! I have done a few loads of washing today, did some painting with Jayden, tidied up the lounge but Jayden trashed it again, tidied Jayden's room after he trashed it cause he didn't want to go to sleep.
I fed Ashlea, but she only fed on one side (usually 2) it sounded like she got a heap of milk as she kept coming off and coughing and choking so who knows if she has had enough, I guess she will wake if she is hungry (I hope)
-
Tania - glad Jayden is over it. Just checked out all your new pics on FB, ur tat is cute, can not believe how totally diferent you looked with blonde hair!! There's no denying Jayden and Ashlea are siblings. Thanks so much for the TTC support, im gonna need to be reminded that it will happen one day. Hopefully i follow your lead and am pg already! LOL at not putting Ashlea's birth notice in the paper yet, they say thats what happens with subsequent kids, easy to forget the little things.
We are home again. Jay got a new car, very luxurious Fairlane. I didn't get a car though, didn't like any of them in the end, we don't NEED 2 cars anyway. Peeing all the time! Bet its just a full uterus due to AF getting close though.
-
hi everyone sorry i was MIA again i had an exam today thankfully that is over with now just one more tomorrow then 2 weeks off wooooohoooooooooo
elissa ~ hang in there girl you really need to busy yourself and try to stop anylsing (sp) you'll be fine
-
Well my good boy slept 12 hours last night. That is two times in a week and the rest of the week has been sleeping 5-7 hours and going 6-8 hours between feeds.
We had him weighed today and he is 6.160kgs. Lachlan wasn't this weight until 6 mths of age. Just shows you how I have had 2 extremely different children that is for sure and Lachlan was very very small thou.
Feel refreshed today, yay for a good sleep! Needless to say everything was wet this morning thou.....
-
sheree - wow on the difference between RIley and Lachlan! That is incredible.
shazz - GL with the other 2 exams
Just did up a resume and cover letter for a position as a sandwich artist
-
A sandwich artist Elissa - boy that sounds interesting.
Sheree way to go your clever little man!:D
Shazz, I am sure you blitzed your exam today.
Well I have finally finished my first assignment! Yay. Just putting the finishing touches on the formatting and then I can submit it. Gee I hope I pass
I think the flu has finaly left our home. woo hoo
-
Sure does sound interesting Elissa. Is that making sandwiches?
Shazz - hope your exam went well
Leanne - wtg on your first assignment. I am sure you did well.
-
Thanks Elissa and Leanne. It sure is hard to believe how big Riley is compared to what lachlan was. I am loving havin a chubba bubba thou and so proud that he still breastfeeding and going strong. Tried to put a bottle in his mouth, but won't have a bar of it. Fine by me thou.... Although it is very demanding feeding and the whole responsibility is always on you. I am passed the milestone where Lachlan refused my breast, so I am feeling ontop of the world about that! I was very nervous at we were nearing it, but been past it for a week and a half now.
-
leanne - well done on the assignment! Feels so much better once you have the first one down.
Something is seriously up with my son. All day today he has been super agressive. Absolutely can not be reasoned with at all and if i go against him on something he will yell and call me a b@st@rd! He has even thrown things at me. The last few days and nights, it has been a huge battle to get him to have his arvo sleep and at night it will take him hours to get to sleep then he will be up at 5-6am. He was perfect for a fortnight, sleeping a few hours during the arvo and 7:30-7:30 at night, beautiful behaviour, now all of the sudden this! The awful agressive behaviour could be because of severe lac of sleep, but now im thinking what if it is something else? He has been very clumsy too, but that could be from tiredness too. I hope he wakes up happier tomorrow. Gave him a dose of Panadol just now, just in case he has a sore ear or something?
-
Hi Girls!
Just poppin in quickly to let you know that I have finally found a place for the girls and I. We moved in over the weekend.
Don't have the net connected as yet but will in the next 10 days.
Brent and I still kinda together....He has stayed at my house a couple of nights while I got settled and helped me move. He's making a few other things difficult for me but thats life i guess.
The girls are good. Briley is speaking so well. Growing up to quickly! Colby is developing an attitude! But is still such a baby! I am enjoying her so much.
Sorry no time for personals. I am on Brent's computer so can't be long.
Congrats to Kim for making it to the 2'nd trimester! No turning back now hun! Its all looking forward!
Hi to everyone else!
I will be back in when i can.
Take Care!
Love to you all....
-
Sara im so glad you found yourselves a house! cute new pic of the girls. Hope you are back in here soon to chat more x x
I am half way thrugh making a triple chocolate mousse tart, oooooo yeah! So thats another 2 kilos to add to the scales....Have started doing some soul searching atm. Archie and I were walking down the main street and he happened to walk into this 'hippy' kinda shop and struck up convo with the owner lady. Turns out we stayed there for a while and had quite a deep convo with her about life, very interesting, lovely lady, think i will be spending a bit of money in her store. Bought a book 'Journey of souls' she has just finished reading it and couldn't stop talking about it, so should be an interesting read.
Jay's Dad is coming up here for tea on Sunday night, a HUGE step forward in their relationship! I am SO nervous about what to cook (i can't cook) and how to entertain them though, its good to have a 2 year old to take everyone's attention though.
I put a Father's Day message in the local rag for Jay tomorrow, think he'll be thrilled with it. Tomorrow Archie will be painting some canvas' for all the fathers in the family, i am looking forward to it, b ut hoping he has an ok attention span.
-
Elissa: Have you heard back from that job yet? GL, hope you get it, it sounds interesting! Jayden has been behaving a little aggressive at times, hitting, yelling and throwing tantrums then all of a sudden he is sweet as anything....maybe just the age or in Jayden's case it could be the jealousy setting in.
Sheree: YAY on the 12hrs sleep! Ash hardly slept at all yesterday but I think it was my fault, I had my 2nd cup of coffee since Jayden was born so I'm guessing coffee doesn't agree with her, she got no more than 1.5hrs during the day on and off then went to sleep properly at 7.30pm, I woke her up at 11.15pm for a feed then she slept through until 6.20am....I'm happy with that but my BB's weren't and Ash couldn't attach cause they were too full, so she has had her 1st bottle in a week.
Sara: Thats great about the house! I hope you and Brent can work it out, just take it slow I guess.
Leanne: Yay on finishing your assignment!!
Hello everyone else :hello:
We are going to the airport today, SIL#6 is flying to Bris so I thought I'd take Jayden to see the planes and we can visit Chris at work while we are there. Jayden is much better now and no more temps but his mood is still pretty bad at times. Well he has just woken up now so I better change his nappy...very stinky!!
Have a great day girls! oxox
-
Hope everyone had a nice Father's day. We had a quiet one but it was nice, DH and my dad moved my oven so DH can build me a pantry which I am excited about, I am lucky that he is so handy and that dad has an electricians licence.
2 more weeks of work then I have 3 weeks holiday!!! My FDC lady is going to germany the week before the school hols and the whole hols so I am having the last week of term as long service leave to mind Riley and I have 3 weeks with no childcare fees WOO HOO.
Sheree- so glad Riley is feeding well and being such a good bub.
Elissa- hope you get the job. Archie sounds like Riley he is into punching and kicking things too, he's a bit of a wild child.
Sara- glad you got a place, hope you and Brent can sort it out.
Shazz- congrats on your results, I read your FB.
Tania- how was the airport? Glad Ash is feeding again, she is such a cutie, are you loving having a girl?
Kim- where are you???? hope you are OK.
Leanne- hope your whole family is well and not still suffering from the many bugs which seem to be in Sydney atm. My GP said its all from the pilgrims who brought in all these new bugs we have no immmnuity to, she said she has seen viruses she had never seen before this winter.
-
tania - i reckon the aggressive behaviour is just an age thing, them trying to assert themselves and test their boundaries, it seems that if i stay consistent he gets over it quickly. Hope Jayden enjoyed the planes.
christine - woohoo on the new pantry, and a huge woohoo on the upcoming holidays! It must be an age thing, i feel relieved now.
We had lovely Father's Day, i cooked dinner for FIL and family last night and it was a huge success. Only 2 days til we go to Melbourne and spend some quality fun family time, yay!
-
Christine: Father's day was good, we went to SIL#4's house for a BBQ lunch then stayed for dinner. YAY for the pantry! I great having ppl that can do things like that for you! Woohoo on 3 weeks off too, that will be nice spending that extra week with Riley. Ashlea refused to feed again all of Fri and part of Sat, was ok Sun then refused 1 feed today....getting very frustrated and upset over it (I have posted in BF'ing support section). Beside the feeding I am LOVING having a girl! Can't wait until she fits into pretty dresses!
Elissa: I have to get my butt into gear and enforce a routine here, I am just so tired these days that I just give in.
Jayden loved the airport and the planes, although SIL#6 asked him if he wanted to go on the plane with her and 3 guesses what he said! Then he got upset cause he of course wasn't allowed on the plane! We went to see Chris after the plane left and Jayden loved seeing Daddy's planes!
I did do something very lame for father's day....I made the kids tshirts with a picture of then with their dad and it said I love you Daddy and Father's Day 2008 on it. I have pics of Ashlea's tshirt I'll put them up in FB....LOL I can only get away with doing theses sort of things when they are young and can't read! Jayden thought it was the best having his dad on his tshirt!
:hello: to everyone else....Hey where's Kim?
-
Where is everyone??
Taking Jayden to the Dr's today, he can't walk on his right foot and we don't know why. Will be fun entertaining a newborn and a 2yo that can't walk all day until go to the Dr's at 3.30pm.
-
-
Hi Shazz.
How did Jayden go Tania?
-
-
Hey Tania. Hope Jayden is okay.
Hello everyone.
-
Thanks girls!
The Dr doesn't thnk its a fracture as there is no bruising (but he mis diagnosed his own grand daughter who had a fractured tibia!). He said to get an xray on fri if there is no improvement...Jayden's still not letting his foot touch the ground.
-
Ohhh poor Jayden. Hope it is better soon.
How come we are up to 16 pages??? Where are the mods these days????
-
Hi everybody
i think they are letting them go to 400 posts something like that as the real talkative ones are very busy and they were always having to start new threads ahh something like that there is a sticky at the top of the threads
i hope it isn't a fracture Tania he may have jumped on it a little weird and displaced something with out actually breaking anything little kids have pretty flexible bones i know nick did this when he was about 4 there wasn't an actual break ( he did break it 6 years later )
-
SIL has just left!
Sheree: My belly buddy group went through a thread in 1 or 2 days (Mod commented it was a record), its now every 300 posts.
Shazz: Aww poor Nick! The Dr mentioned they are pretty flexable at his age and can take a bit of knocking around...just wasn't too confident when he mentioned his grand daughter.
LC called me earier and asked if I would go to an ante natal class tomorrow night and talk to them about BF'ing and the problems and perservering etc....I felt terrible but I said no, I'm too shy do it and also its at 7.30pm which isn't the best time to be out when you have 2 kids....I kinda wanted to do it but I don't have her number to tell her anyway...best I don't. The LC I saw when I had Jayden had asked the same thing when Jayden was a baby......Only cause I have all the problems you can have with BF'ing.
-
Jayden's foot is fine now  Not getting it xray'ed today now as he is running and jumping on it...cheeky monkey!
Lots of shopping to do today, Jayden is going to day care and I have LC appt at 12.30pm....Nice busy day! Will be looking forward to bed tonight!
Ash finally did a dream feed last night, usually I have to wake her up othrwise she won't suck...she only took 1 side though but its a start...
Have a great day girls
-
Hiya all! Have had the most horrendously busy couple of weeks and we get the keys to our new house in a week so I guess it isn't going to slow down for a very long while.
We are good here. Darcy's pushing the boundaries and has to be the tallest 2 year old you've ever seen. If she wasn't a skinny minny I'd have he in 4's! Thank goodness it's getting warmer and it doesn't matter how long her pants are lol.
Belly's getting huge and I am reasonably well aside from the ongoing dry wretching and the SPD. Can't complain though, finally feels a bit real.
It's going to take me ages and ages to catch up so I'm just going to start from today and hope you all don't post too much!
Back soon.
PS thanks for worrying Christine
PSS Glad it's not broken Tania! Don't feel bad about the LC request. I don't know that I'd like to have had my inadequacies put on show either - and what the heck is she doing scaring new mums????;)
ETA and Darcy cut her finger on a knife today...I felt so bad but her father was supposed to be watching her and then went mad at me!!! He sucks at this sometimes....
-
Good to hear from you Kim.... Congrats on the house being ready nearly. There is nothing like living in a brand new home...... (at homeworld!!) sorry.... only the Sydney girls will get that one... But seriously, there is nothing like it. Boy Darcy must be really tall.... KAty's still a shrimp. Her cousin who is 4 months younger is almost a head and shoulders taller than her. I should measure Katy. It's been ages... Mental note to self.
Good to hear that it's not a break Tania.
Nothing much to report here. Had today off to spend time with DH. Started off a bit rocky cause the house was so messy I thought I should stay at home and clean, but we ended up going out to Ikea and could have spent a bomb but didn't. Found a whole heap of cool things to put in my daycare room when i set it all up, so now all I need to do is save a little bit. :O)
Hubby bought me Wii Fit yesterday so have done 1 hr yesterday and 1 hr today and I am stuffed! I did not know a body had so many muscles.... My doctor of 20 years won't give me the meds I need to ovulate until I am at least 15 kgs lighter, so I am now more than ever determined to shift this weight. Easier said than done, but I will do my best.
Off to the hairdressers tomorrow for the first time in 18 months to get the works done. cut color foils. Can't wait.
Hello to all the other lovely ladies out there. Hope you have great weekends.....
-
Leanne - can you explain the Wii Fit, is it only Yoga???
Kim - wow a brand new home, how nice. GL with the move.
Lachlan has a middle ear infection and Wade and I were up with him most of the night. We just could not settle him. And yet my gem Riley slept thru it and slept 10hours. Phew!!! Didn't feel like attending to both of them.
-
Great to hear from you Kim..Woohoo on the house! How tall is Darcy? I have just bought a height chart for Jayden, haven't measured him yet though!
Leanne: YAY on the Wii Fit! Good luck losing the weight! That reminds me I have to get my hair done, hasn't been done since 2 or more weeks before Ashlea was born!
Sheree: Poor Lachie! Hope he gets better soon! Least Riley is being a good boy!
We had our LAST LC appt today :happyforyou:WOOHOO!:happyforyou: Ashlea has gained 530g in 2 weeks!! BF'ing is going great now and she hasn't refused since briefly on Monday. We are thinking she has a sluggish bowel but still not sure why when she needs to do a poo that she refuses the breast but not the bottle...She did her 1st big poo since Sat today and she hadn't refused prior to that as she normally would so maybe her system was a bit immature and is getting better now?? Her sleeping all the time too is just her and not because she is lathargic (sp?) like I thought. The LC said she'll leave it up to me when I come back to her which I dont need to now...She gave me a huge hug before I left and said what a great job I've done getting through it, it made me feel soooo good!! I can finally relax with it all now and just enjoy my fat sleepy baby.
Since before Ashlea was born, I have really slacked off with the bedtime routine with Jayden as I was too tired or too fat etc. This week I decided enough was enough and Jayden is to go to bed when I tell him not when he wants to. So during the day (if we are home) its:
12.00 Lunch
12.30 Dora (quiet time)
1.00 Bed If he is in there for an hour and not asleep he can get up, but each day we have done it, he has gone to sleep and slept until 4.30/5pm. Usually if he wakes up that late he won't go to bed until 10pm but now 8.00/8.30 Ashlea Jayden and I read 2 stories in his bed, Chris comes in with Jayden's bottle (I know he shouldn't be having it now!). Kiss goodnight and say I love you to me and Ashlea. I tell him I have to put "Ashee" in bed now, turn out the light and walk out. 1st night he cried for a while, 2nd night cried for maybe 5mins, 3rd night and tonight straight to sleep! Once that is really set I can work on getting his dummy and bottle off him!
-
Wii fit has a whole heap of stuff on it.
Basically it is broken down into sections Muscle building, aerobics and balance games. My fav is the aerobics which has running, hula hoooping, step aerobics. Balance has yoga and muscle building has boxing, skiing etc. There are 8 games in each different category ( I actually think there are 4 categories but can't remember the other one!), and as you go you unlock new challenges. After day 2 I am hooked on the hula hooping, and am already in a challenge with a mexican lady on FB.
-
Ooh Leanne, jealous about the Wii fit...was that for you birthday?????? I love Ikea stuff too. Mum brought me a catalogue when she came down last week.
Great news Tania. Don't feel bad about the bottle. Darcy still asks for one at night too. I couldn't care less. And if one more person asks me "Isn't she too old for a dummy?'....grrrrr
