Had another US today - baby weighing in at 3.1kgs with 6 ish weeks to go. He/she's got the biggest chubbiest cheeks you have ever seen and belly really round.... It's loving the diabetes it seems - insulin levels really increased today to try and stop this kid growing so big so fast.... The US man kept saying wow this is a big kid.... Thank goodness for induction being imminent. Miss Katy was 3.3 kg born so I am really starting to get scared about the whole birth thing.... My SIL who is due at the same time as me had an US today too - their baby is about 600g lighter than ours. I know you can't really compare, but I feel like I am carrying a monster. :O( Is it wrong to be upset? I mean is there really anything I can do to curb a baby's growth?

nah, big boucy bubs are great, you dont have to worry about them loosing weight in those early bf weeks, they arent as fragile and scary and they are way cuter when they are big and chubby! I reckon it doesnt matter if your bub is big or small it still hurts like heck! You'll be fine hun, your bub will be perfect, if its bigger then maybe its a buy bubba...

I had whooping cough about 2 years ago Leanne, same thing I wasn't tested until after it had stopped being contagious so no time off either! I had 3 days of antibiotics for it, not sure what they would do for you re antibiotics but they were the WORST thing ever- they made me sicker than the whooping cough I wanted to die.
Sadly the cough lasts for months, I used Rikodeine cough medicine at night to stop it so everyone could sleep but again not sure if you can take it.

I have had two rounds of antibiotics given to me by a medical centre dr who said I had an upper respiratory tract infection. of course it did not work. My GP last night told me I should not really be taking it - that and the expectorant cough mixture prescribed which has caused havoc to my Blood glucose levels. I should have seen my GP of 20 years in the first place. Now I have to wait until Monday to get the results of this damn test. With having GD and being almost ready to pop etc I am so over it all. I just want to cry. If anything bad happens to my baby...........

    Guess what?!

We are being induced somewhere in the week commencing 7 Sept. so I should be holding my little bubba in less than three weeks.... YAY
My ob was really supportive and encouraging at my appt yesterday.... Said even though he/she's going to be a biggen she won't let me birth anything I am not capable of. How nice.. She then reminded me that I am strong woman and more than capable and the many safe drugs available . That made it all so much better. he he

So..... in a matter of weeks our baby will have a name and pictures to go with it!

And I will be able to fit Katy on my lap and sleep on my belly again.
    YAY

with respect to the WC - I don't believe I have it. I feel so much better today, and actually slept through the night without waking - makes a huge difference when you get some sleep.
Will find out on Monday for sure.

    Have a good one ladies.
    :O)

OK so I have the ****s and need to vent.

This lady at work has been coughing for weeks and after I emailed the office yesterday to say that I had had whooping cough she goes and gets herself tested.... She does not get the results until Thursday but is still here because she has no sick days left. Hello.,.,.....? It's people like her that have made me sick in the first place.

Thank goodness tomorrow is my last day of work .... No more city, no more office, no more trains...... YAY.
