Just a quick update his feed before the 4am one was at 10pm - so yes he gave us 6 hours sleep, well kinda with me continually popping the dummy back in. I have been trying to get into a bit of a routine with feeds at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and then last feed at 9:30pm ready for bed then he will wake around 3 or 4am. Just when I wanted to start to routinely feed he is refusing it! I mean I am happy with 4 hourly too if that is what he wants to do, but he is pushing it out even further then that! So I guess the 4am to 10am is another 6 hours but even then he was hard to feed the only feed that was ok was at 12;30pm (lunch time), so that is 8ish hours. I just fed him again at 7:30pm adding to the list previously and he fed reasonably ok but probably only drank 100ml which is better then most of his other feeds today and he did that without hesitation but then tried to give him the other 20ml and that is when he started refusing it. Guess I just have to go with him at the moment and stuff the routine.
So from 7.30am this morning to 7.30pm tonight he has had 360ml, his next bottle at roughly 9.30pm just before bed will be another 180ml (which he won't drink all of but I try to give him a little more before bed which he doesn't seem to refuse too much) and then another 120ml at around 4am in the morning, so that is in total approx 660mls. On the ratio of 150mls per kg, he should be having 732ml, do you think 660mls is ok???? Guess if he appears to be content I shouldn't worry.....................
