Sending you heaps of quick labour vibes Sarah. Can't wait to read that your little man has arrived.

Shell - I can't recommend a light weight stroller enough. Even though mine is a double, it is so much lighter and easier to deal with getting in and out of the car than the P&Ts. Maybe you can promise your hubby a bit of action if he gives in on the stroller - it works for mine. Poor love gets so little lovin' these days I think he'd buy me the Hope Diamond if I promised him some more regular DTDing

Well done Sarah. Great job (although ouchies!!!). I'm with you on the short hospital stay. I agreed to go up to a ward for a few hours after Elena was born but regretted it as soon as we got there - was supposed to stay in for a few hours to get some sleep but that was a blo*dy joke with all the staff coming and going!! I couldn't get out of there fast enough either.

I hope you and Xavier are now well and truly settling in at home with J and Noah.

I had one of those incredibly beautiful mummy moments today that makes all the crap worthwhile. My GF brought her 2.5 year old this morning and she and Izzy were playing in our backyard. Izzy came up and opened the sliding door and looked at me inside sitting on the couch with one of those "I'm not sure everything is ok" looks on her face. I told her it was all fine, and that she should go out and play with Abbey in her cubby house. She got a huge grin on her face and then blew me huge kisses before running off to play. God it was beautiful. Literally brought me to tears. Did the same thing to my GF too, although I think the fact that she is a very emotional 8 month pregnant woman might have contributed

    Hello All

I am trying to keep up with this thread, but I think it is going to take me a while to wrap my head around it.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Everybody in here is so friendly

Lulu - I can totally empathise with everything you are saying. My DD breaks into my DS's room while he is sleeping and wakes him up. It was ok a few months ago when he would just go straight back to sleep, but now he is awake and he is a baby that needs to sleep when he is tired or he doesn't cope with anything!!! I also understand about the prams - I have 4 as well - 2 twin prams (an umbrella one for shopping and a 3 wheeler jogger for walking) and I have 2 singles (an umbrella and a jogger). I use my single jogger the most because I bought a baby capsule that would fit in the top before DS was born because I had a lot of problems with DD waking up when I get her in and out of the car when she was small. The capsule means that I can pack DS up while I am inside and put him down next to the car while I strap DD in and she can't run onto the road or anything. It also has rocking feet on the bottom and doubles as a rocker - best thing I every bought. DS is now 7 months and still fits in the capsule (though he is far from a small baby).

Shellbelle - Townsville is a great place to live. I love it!!!

    Sarah - CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Tanstar - :hugs: It is hard that your DH has gone for the next 16 days, I struggle to survive 3 without mine. At least kids are a HUGE distractions (and a lot of work) - I hope the next 16 days goes very quickly!

I know there were a lot more posts than that and I am sorry that I have missed so many people, but there is so much going on in here!!!

Someone asked me to write a little about my kids so here goes:

My DD was born after TTC for 15 months and 2 chemical pregnancies. I had a horrible and long 41 hour OP labour, with and epidural in the 38th hour after no sleep (one day I will blog my birth story) but I did give birth naturally in the end. DD was nothing like what I expected and she NEVER slept. I ended up doing a sleep program with her at 7 weeks at IMPS here in Townsville (this is a govt run centre for parents with new babies and does everything from nutrition to sleeping to behaviour). Her sleeping improved immensly after that and we have managed to keep the technique going. When she was about 4 months old we discovered that she was losing weight and dropping weight percentiles quite rapidly as my milk had dried up and I hadn't realised So she was formula fed making it possible for me to conceive my DS when DD was only 4 months old.

I had gestational diabetes in my pregnancy with DS but managed to remain diet controlled only but I was induced at 38 weeks. He was not ready to be born. I spent 2 days in hospital having contractions that were not actually dialating - they were a reaction to the drugs for induction. I went into labour when they broke my waters (which they only managed to do because I had previously given birth) and he too was OP. The labour was far more positive an experience this time. DS is a dream baby (thus looking at having a third). We have had no sleep issues with him, he loves his sleep and he has BF really really well.

I attend a mothers' group weekly that I met when I was doing some of the courses through IMPS. We have managed to keep on meeting for about 18 months now. They are the reason that I have survived being a parent and my weekly sanity fix. There are 6 of us and all our babies are born within about 3 weeks of each other (amazingly my SIL is also in the group - she had a baby 3 weeks after me). My mother's group have done some great stuff together like girls' nights out, joint b'day party for the kids, christmas parties and been a great support through pregnancy and birth. 4 members of my mothers' group are due to have babies in the next 3 months. It is an exciting time!

Both my kids are just amazing and I am so thankful for them. I love being a mum and the new adventures that it brings each day. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and your kids as well.

Well that was a lot of info but my story of parenthood in a nutshell. Thanks for reading (if you made it this far).

I hate computers - just wrote a big long post and lost it grrr!!!!!

Lulu - so you think nice dinner, some action and then new stroller!!! OK, worth a try!! I want a maclaren I think, something that will last, just not sure whether to sell my p&t then?
Am going to put my other pram (one that has bassinette and seat attachments) on e-bay today and see how I go. Also have some mcn's that I might put on b4b or on here I spose. I have so many and some are just not a good fit on my little man!!

Sarah - Xavier is just beautiful. I don't see much resemblence to Noah? Hard to tell though when they are so new. Hope your ouchies heal quickly. How is Noah going sharing his boobies!!

Tan - hope the next 2 weeks fly for you. When DH went to China last year for a week it was so hard cause I couldn't contact him at all!! Seemed like an eternity, but the kids kept me busy and we did lots of shopping haha!!

Lis - How is the ms going??? Hope you are not going too bad, nothing worse than an active toddler trying to understand why Mummy is so sick!!

Kass - how is your ttc going?? How is you new house too? Love your new ticker pic - annabelle is such a cuite!!

Dan - not long till your scan!! How is work going? I hated the long hours on my feet and lack of breaks. Was always dehydrated and tired. Yucko. I still havent decided about doing my midi yet - thinking I might change career totally and do a bach of edu (primary)!! The nursing hours suck having a family, and the shift work makes me grumpy!! Would be nice to do normal hours at work!!!

Townsvillegirl - How hot is it the last few days!! Is so yuck, and the pool is like swimming in soup. The kids are driving me insane because they are bored and hot!!! Might take them out today to get them out the house! If you ever want to catch up let me know!! Lollipops is always good!

Anyway, my little man is being really clingy lately and driving me up the wall. He follows me around all day everywhere! He is trying to get on my lap now, so I better go. xxx

    Well hello there lovlies!

Tan- James seems to be a dream baby! Sucks Dp is going for a little bit but just think everyday that you get through is getting you closer to seeing him! Where did Iz go last night?

Townsvillgirl- Thought I should ask for your real name as personals take a bit longer with a user name like yours and mine
What a great run down of your children! Now I want one of your Dp
Dont know if you realised but we are in the TTC group together

Shell- Clinginess I can understand! But must admit I rather that then no cuddles at all
My little girl is pretty cute hey haha I changed my ticker pic again, I can get her hair in pigtails!!! Dont know if you can tell in that pic

Well ladies not much news with me I dont think I told you my massive petty getting upset while I was away thing?!
SIL and her arse of a hubby tried telling me Annabelle isn't like me and more like their son!!! hahahahahahaha She is NOTHING like their son its the dumbest thing said EVER! Everyone I ask cracks up laughing at how stupid it is. But at the time it cut me real deep!
Anyway you ladies with my facebook can see in one of my albums I made one showing me as a kid and then have a look at Annabelle make comments if you like
K sorry for being silly young mummy but it hurt me as everything Annabelle has or does like me SIL makes it unlike me. Freak woman!!!

Just a quick one - will BBL if Elena ever stops being a limpet.

Just wanted to say to Kass I know what you mean. According to my MIL, both my daughters are COMPLETELY from my husband's side of the family. If it weren't for the fact that I was conscious when I gave birth to them I would have to wonder if I really was related Stoopid in-laws.

Awww Kass that's ok hun - you know she's all YOURS and they are probably just jealous! Izzy is at mums! Will be back soon - I miss her!

Lulu - Limpet. I know what you mean though - Izzy has started hugging our legs constantly if she is grizzly - cute but makes it hard to get around!

Shell - I've been buying mcn left right and centre - poor man. Lucky we have Skype so we will talk soon so he can see the kids!

TVG - You did a great job of personals huN! Put us all to shame I'm afraid! We are a pretty friendly bunch! Just not as chatty as we used to be in here! We still wuv each other lots though! SOunds like your MG is great - I love mine - we are back at it on Monday thank goodness!

I have been stalking Al's flight on flight tracker! He is literally about to land in Montreal! Delayed for a few hours though so I doubt he will go see BIL and SIL tonight. Ah well - can't wait to Skype him tomorrow!

Tan - yeah, I miss my MG when we have a break, like over Christmas. So relieved to get them back yesterday . . . although there are still some away on hols.

Shell - It has been so hot here. We don't go outside much, it is so nice in the airconditioning, too hot to venture out at the moment. It is a pity because Maddie (my DD) especially loves playing outside. We have been to Lollipops a lot - we love it there. I especially like that adults get a 'free' coffee. It's like compulsory fun.

Kass and Lulu - I hate in-laws. In fact we don't have anything to do with my husband's family anymore, long long story but was not worth the stress they put on our family, especially in the first month after Maddie was born.

Kass asked for my real name and it is Erin - may make it a bit easier to post to.

Took both my kids, Maddie and Josh, for their needles this afternoon. I hate needles and it was traumatic (mainly for me) and I cried as I always do. My DH always comes with us because I can't do it on my own. He usually holds them and I usually do the cuddling bit afterwards. I have had a turn at holding them the last two times though and it is not as bad as I thought it would be, but still hard.
