Hi lovely ladies and tots!!!
Tan sounds like James is in a great routine! Aaawww I love his pic, he is so cute! I hope Izzy's teeth pop through soon, which ones is she up to now?? YAY for the big bed too, do you find her the right way up in the morning? Ellie still moves round so much in her cot.
Lulu yay for TT! Sounds like you have everything you'll need lol! We might try this summer but probably not till after settled into our new place. Mum bought Ellie a book on toilet training. It is so funny! My favourite line is 'Big girls do wee wee and poo poo on the big toilet'. Then there is a little button you push which makes the sound of a toilet flushing
Dan hope you are having a fabulous time!
Shell are you guys feeling better. Wish I had your pool today its so hot here.
Hello to everyone else, hope you are all well!
I have been super busy with house and work stuff. Elena finally cut those molars thank god and she's back to her happy self. I took half a day off work yesterday as it was so quiet and treated myself to some retail therapy - bought 2 dresses, pair of black slip on shoes and treated my girl to a gorgeous red/white dress too! I love dresses lol!
Better go, half an hour till I finish work and a few things to do! Take care all xxxx
ETA congrats dolphin!!!!!
-
Congrats Dolphin!!! Great to hear from you hun!!!! So many babies!!
Lis - Izzy has just cut her 4th eye tooth and they are SO sharp and pointy poor love. Molars weren't much better as far as grizzliness and pain goes either so hopefully Elena's come through quickly.
It's SO hot here today - ugh and we only have cooling in the lounge and Im not used to having a summer bub so the dilemma continues of what to dress and wrap him in!!
-
Tan I hope Izzy and James slept ok in the heat! Ellie woke up terrified with the loud thunder last night, poor thing didn't know what it was.
Just popping in to wish you all a great weekend! I'm off to start my christmas shopping today. Hope all tots, bubs and bubs to be are being nice to their mummies! xxxx
-
Hi gorgeous ones!
Dan - Read your other thread - hope you are feeling better soon lovely!
Lis - How did you go with Christmas shopping? I really need to start too but I don't have the motivation right now!
Shell - How are you and your gorgeous ones going hun????
D- How are you feeling love? Hope the m/s isn't too bad?
LMS - Not long to go gorgeous! SOOO exciting!
 to everyone I have missed I am being slack! :p
Im off to mums for the day today because DH is ripping out our benchtops and replacing them and we have ordered all new doors for the kitchen! :) Not a total reno - keeping all the skeleton of it but it should look great! I will have to take some before and after shots! We are doing well - our little man is only up once between 7-6 so I am feeling wonderful! He is feeding 3 hourly during the day and is wide awake alot of the time but I don't mind so much because I am getting such great night time sleep. Izzy is such a treasure - just LOVES her little brother so much and gives him the most gorgeous kisses and cuddles! Right Id better get in the shower and get moving! Love to you all!
-
Tan - that's great news that James is sleeping so well and I'm so glad that Izzy loves her little brother. Yay for a new kitchen - makes such a big difference to how your house looks. Very exciting.
Lis - your retail therapy sounds so lovely. I've gone a bit nuts with dresses for Izzy this year - I bought her a few last summer but she never wore them because she always looked so uncomfortable crawling in a dress.
Hi to everyone else. Hope everybody is well.
Izzy has now got all her eye teeth and molars. She has been so incredibly good while they've been coming through. Like somebody said (sorry, forgot who) her eye teeth are so sharp and she keeps getting a cut lip the poor little poppet. She is so thrilled now that Elena is really starting to play with her - Ellie gets all excited because she can crawl to catch up with Iz, and Iz squeals with delight when she does. I'm finally looking at my girls and being really happy to have two kids. Ellie is seriously out of control - is now furniture cruising. Her development has been so fast. Iz had her 18 month check the other day and is still such a tiny flea - which she proved on the weekend by squeezing herself out through the bars of our front gate. I was sitting on the bench with Ellie and looked down for I think 3 seconds and Iz had managed to slot herself out the gap and run around to find her daddy doing the gardening out on the verge. Very scary how fast it all happened.
Also, don't know if anyone else is finding it by Iz is soooooooo excited at all the Christmas decorations in the stores now. She sits in her pram and points and chatters about everything she sees. I'm so excited about Christmas this year. Its going to be so much fun.
Anyway, better go and tidy up the war zone - nothing like having two mobile bubs to create some serious chaos!
-
Hey ladies!!! Im back online!!! Ill bbl to do personals :D Glad im back!
-
Hi ladies!
Tan yay for the kitchen renos! How exciting! Sounds like James is in a great routine hun! So has his wind and gulping settled down?
Kass welcome back! I just saw your sig, only a couple of months till you TTC? How exciting!!!!! Wouldn't it be great if we were belly buddies!
Dan I saw your other thread and I hope you are feeling a bit better hun, take care xx
Lulu OMG at Ellie's cruising, that is insane lol! I bet she looks adorable cruising lol! Did Izzy cruise this early too or do you think miss ellie is just trying to catch up to her big sister? Yep my Elena is loving all the christmas decorations too. I can't wait to take her out at night to see all the houses lit up, she is going to love it!
Shell how are you guys going? You all feeling better now?
Well I'm at work today so I probably should actually do some work lol!
Taking Ellie for her 18 month assessment tomorrow in between organising tradesmen. I swear I'm going to lose the plot if this house isn't finished soon! Have a lovely day all! xx
-
Sangie- Yep Jan 09 we have made it! Im in two minds. One about my age and what family think but then in the other its what is best for our lil family and thats all that matters ;)
I really hope we're belly buddies! Are you TTC atm?
Tan- Things seem to be settling into there place! How is your lil princess? is she good at her new role, big sister? Glad to hear James is sleeping well for you
Lulu- Sounds like your house is full of excitment! Two lil princess' learning so much! Izzy getting out of the gate through the gap!!! They can do anything they put there minds to, hey! Scary! We're still waiting for Annabelle's eye teeth :( not a fun time, teething, in this house.
Dan- Hope things look up for you soon!
Dolphin- not sure if we have met? So hello!
Now I no I have missed lots of you lovly ladies but its kind of impossible to catch up. Ill just make sure I dont miss out on anymore :) Deal???
Im sooooooooooo excited to TTC, actually the pg part, not so much the TTC
And getting to share it with you ladies as my last pg wasn't shared with anyone, very supportive, other then family IYKWIM ;)
Question though: Annabelle and I are best of friends and have a great relationship, will I loose that when the new baby is hear? I know slly question but if im going to ask it, thought you would all understand me ;)
Sometimes when she plays up, I think it would be better for her to have a lil buddy. I dont want them anymore then 2 1/2 yrs apart, so I better fall pg as soon as I try hahaha
-
Hi gorgeous mummies,
Tan - I can't believe your little man slept for 9 hours last night . What a good little man. Is Izzy in her big girl bed yet? How's the new kitchen looking? Happy with the end results?
Lulu - OMG your girls are simply amazing. You have a two very clever clever little girls there. I just can't believe El is furniture cruising already. How's the toilet training going? Have you started?
Sangie - You are a better woman than me. I now refuse to deal with tradesman so Dave has to do that. I blow my top too quickly and get us nowhere fast. Can't wait to hear how Ellie goes with her check up tomorrow.
Kass - Welcome back darl. Glad the move went well and hope you are all settling in nicely. How exciting TTC in just a few months. Fingers crossed it happens quikly for you. I have the same worries that you do. I also worry that I won't love this one as much as livvy but Tan and Lulu reassure me all the time with their posts about their gorgeous little ones and you can just tell how much they love them both.
Hi to all the other mums and toddlers. Hope you are having a great time. Is anyone starting to get excitng about christmas and doing the 'santa' shopping. I just can't decide what to buy Olivia. What is everyone else getting their little ones?
Well we had Livvy at the MCHN today and she is doing everything she should be so that is fantastic. She now weights 10.42 kg. I didn't find out until today that they are supposed to triple there birth weight by 12 months and it has taken livvy 18 months but hey we're there now. She is 78cm tall so she is just a little poppet.
Olivia got up in a bad mood this morning and it has continued all day. She has been fowl. We can't look at her, talk to her or do anything with her. She even cracks it when we do nothing. So it is very much a right off day. Hopefully she gets out of the right side of the bed tomorrow.
Sorry I haven't been around. Been in A&E getting IV fluids to help with my m/s. I have turned a corner and feel a million bucks now.
Well my little princess (ha ha ha) is once again screaming so I better go and attend to her. Thank god this day is nearly over.
Catch up soon everyone.
-
Dan I'm so glad you are feeling better. Fingers crossed that you have seen the last of the m/s. Have you told your friends/family yet? YAY for a great MCHN appointment. I hope Livvy is in a better mood today - is she still teething?
Tan how is your kitchen looking?!
Kass I saw your other thread. Congrats on TTC now, fingers crossed it happens very quickly for you!
Well our MCHN appointment was supposed to be today but we got a phone call this morning saying that all appointments today are cancelled because the nurse is sick and a replacement cannot be found. Then I get told that I can't get another appointment until Dec 11! Crazy hey?
Gonna go tidy up before my little tornado wakes up!
Hello to anyone I missed and catch up with you all soon! xxxxx
-
Hey ladies!
Dan - So glad you are feeling better babe! We have benchtops in and DH s tiling todya. The new doors will be arriving in the next week. Izzy is in her big bed, she loves it but if she is a bit awake we still find she will occasionally get out of bed and play instead of sleep - just means we have to go in to resettle a bit but overall its working really well! Jameswent back to his 6 hour sleep but even that is great so Im not complaining! He fed 2 hourly afer the 9 hour sleep so Id rather 3 hours! I had Izzy's 18mth check next month (busy too) and I think shw ill only just be around 11 kgs so don't stress lovely!
Lis -I will post pics soon of the kitchen!! DH used all our dowloads so I ahve to wait to the 1st to do anything! Even just normal browsing costs us and Im fuming. Im at mums today getting my BB and intenet hit but wont have it at home. So frustrating! My MCHN is on the 19 Dec - so Izzy will be 19mths old! Ugh I need to go and get her 18mth shots - not looking forward to that but want to do it now while I can and then I have James' shots in a month too.
Kass - SO exciting TTC! I know what you mean aobut hte new baby because I was wondering in the last few weeks of my pregnancy how on earth I would love anohter person like I do Izzy and its so true what they say about your love not dividing but multiplying for each one. I gve Izzy as much time as I can and Iforgot how much newbrns sleep and other than booby and cuddes they do'n't need as much as toddlers so there is plenty of time for everyone to adjust!
-
Tan - your new kitchen sounds like its coming along beautifully. Very exciting. When did you put Izzy in the big bed first?? How did you go initially? I'm wondering if I should maybe take the side off Izzy's cot so that it turns into a junior bed. I'm just worried she'll be getting up and wandering every time she wakes up! How is James going? Sounds like he is starting to sleep really well for you. Much easier to deal with average day sleeps if you're getting a really good sleep at night. Elena has only just started sleeping decently during the day - I now get at least 2 hours out of her in the morning which is heaven - the girls actually sleep at the same time so I get time to do all the housework while they're both asleep which is sooooo much easier than trying to do it when one or both are up.
Dan - glad you're feeling better sweetie. Don't hesitate next time if you are suffering. MS is such a horrible thing. Sounds like Livvy is testing her mummy well and truly at the moment. Try not to stress about it - she may be picking up a bit of a hormone change with you and that little bean you're growing. I know Izzy certainly went through some weird periods. And definitely don't stress about her weight. FWIW Iz is 80cm tall, so a bit taller than Livvy, but almost half a kg lighter than Livvy. My MCHN says she's absolutely fine - she's consistently been on the same line of weight, is full of energy, bright and alert. We both just have lovely little fairy girls, that's all. Don't know about you though but it makes clothes a nightmare. I just bought Izzy a couple of size 1 skirts and they literally fall off her.
Kass - good luck with the TTC. I hope your journey is a very, very short one!
Lis - how are the renos going? Nightmare time but hopefully it will pass quickly for you. Do you think there's a chance you'll be in your new house for Christmas? Crossing my fingers for you that you will.
TT is going slowly with Izzy. She happily sits on her potty or the toilet seat but nothing happens yet. She knows when she is about to wee and if she doesn't have her nappy on she gets really distressed but no matter how many times I take her to the potty or the toilet she won't do anything. She's had only a couple of accidents and is really upset when she does. I'm trying not to pressure her though so most of the time when she obviously needs to do something if she doesn't do anything on the potty within a couple of times of taking her to it I'm just putting her nappy back on. Do you think I'm doing the right thing? Damn this is hard when you don't have the operator's manual!
-
Hi all! So what exciting things did you all get up to on the weekend. Spent most of mine with a paintbrush in my hand. Tip for you all: don't try to paint a house with a toddler lol!
Tan bummer about the downloads. Oh well not long until the 1st dec (as scary as that sounds!). Have to get Ellie's needle soon too, not looking forward to it at all.
Lulu how is the TT going? Sorry I have no clue whether putting the nappy back on is right or not, clearly I need an instruction manual too. Hopefully somebody who has been there and done that will give some advice.
Dan hope you are still feeling well. How is Livvy?
Shell where are you hun? Hopefully just too busy to get on BB!
Kass so excited for you TTC!
Well that's it from me, I'm exhausted and have decided that DH can finish painting the new house by himself lol! We got heaps done though and it looks so much better! Gonna go get some coffee I think and sit in front of the TV. Chat soon xxx
-
Lulu- Izzy had gastro a few weeks ago and we ended up putting her in there when she threw up in her cot and the next day she climbed in wanting her naps there too. She is still in her sleeping bag, we tried stopping it but one of the times she did climb out she sat there with her bag in hand basicaly saying "mum I can't sleep without this on!". She has fallen out a few times but it is so low to the ground we weren't too worried and it hasn't happened for about a week. I found her asleep on her rug on the floor when I went in one night - too cute. She can walk in her bag but she goes down for all naps pretty well, nights are fine and occasionally we have to go in to resettle her for day naps because she has gotten up to play. Phew that was a bit long winded sorry!!! James is doing really well! He slept from 8 til 5 last night! Thing is and this sounds so dumb but I prefer it when he gets up at around 2 and then 6 because he isn't so unsettled during the day then. If he goes that long overnight he tends to want a feed 2 hourly during the day instead of 3-4 hourly. I shouldn't complain I know! I also know after Izzy that it could all turn to pot very fast so I am making the most of it while I can.
Lis - How on earth can you drink coffee at this time of night!!!!!! I would be awake ALL night - can't drink it after 4pm or I am wide awake. Painting sounds interesting wth El around but I love a freshly painted house!! Sounds like you are getting lots done! I am getting Izzy's shots done on Thursday - ugh - not looking forward to them.
We have had a busy weekend - a 1st birthday yesterday and a blessing today - its ben great htough because Izzy has had fun with lots of kids and we got to show off our little man!
Im off to bed - MG tomorrow and I think I will book in to get my hair done!! Chat soon lovelies!
-
Oh Lis. I can just see Elena giving you a very big help with her own idea of painting!! I hope its going well for you though. FWIW Izzy had her injection last week and she has suffered absolutely no ill effects whatsoever - and the others all really knocked her around. Maybe its because thankfully its just the one vaccine this time?
Tan - thanks for the advice re bed. Izzy is out of her sleeping bag now - she takes it off the second I put her in her cot and just hands it back to me. She's now very attached to her doona instead. Funny little things. I know what you mean about the sleep with James. Elena is the same - much better if she needs a feed around 3am or so. If she has that, then she will have about a 2 hour nap in the morning. If she sleeps through she will only go down for about 40 minutes. And OMG I love that 2 hour nap - crosses over with Izzy's morning sleep and I can actually get some things done! Definitely enjoy those long, uninterrupted sleeps yourself while they last though. Hopefully he will keep sleeping through and soon feed less during the day - after you get through that dreaded 6 week growth spurt of course!!
We had a fantastic day yesterday. Did absolutely nothing and it was bliss. The girls both went down for a morning nap so DH and I went to have a shower and then a nap ourselves. Poor love had other ideas too but then Elena woke up so the three of us climbed into bed together. Izzy soon joined us and we just lazed around and played. By the end of the day we had achieved close to nothing (I had gone to get fruit & vegies), the girls were still in their pjs, the house was a mess of toys everywhere but it was just the nicest day we have had in a very, very long time. Pity we can't do it all the time!
Have a lovely day mums and tots and little bubbies and growing beans (wow that list is growing!!)
-
Tan I can drink coffee at anytime and still sleep like a log! Good luck with Izzy's injections. I was going to get Ellie's done this week too but she woke up this morning with a lovely snotty nose eeeewwww. Might wait and see how this pans out first, hopefully just a small cold and nothing else! YAY for James sleeping so well, you are so lucky!
Lulu glad to hear Izzy was ok after her injection. Your lazy day sounds awesome! I love having those days in winter.
Well better get some work done. I'm lucky enough to be able to work from home today. At least now I may see some of the sunshine, finally we have some sun after all that crappy weather!!!
Take care ladies xxx
-
Hi Everyone!
Sorry, I have been MIA. Have been trying to do extra shifts last fortnight to try and help with christmas. We have brought the kids a big 16ft round trampoline with the net plus other pressies for under the tree - so expensive this year!! Just so hard as I am sick of tripping over toys inside!! Trying to concentrate on outside toys!!
Will come back in this arve and do a proper catch up, but just wanted to say I am still here and thinking of you all!! Have a busy day again today, end of year activities at school etc. Be back I promise xxxx
Oh, just wondering if you all got the 18mth chicken pox vacciniation???? I was thinking of not getting it?? Just that I still hear of all the kids who have been vaccined still getting it at a later date anyway? Oh, I don't know what to do!! Eldest DD has had chick pox, middle DD hasn't and not had needle eaither cause it wasn't included in the schedule when she was born? EEck, not sure....Ok, BBL!!
-
Hello ladies!!!
Sorry i have also been MIA, I have been TTC#2! And its taken my time, mind you have been watching this thread. Where is everybody!!!??
Shell- Annabelle is getting her needle for chickenpox on the 8th of December. I just figure its there for a reason. Id hate her to get them so young. Scratching and scaring herself. Even if she does get them later on at least she'll be older and I can explain not to scratch ;)
Ill bbl xoxo to all and good luck with the xmas organising !
-
Hey girls. I'm here with my germs lol. Elena is sick with tonsilitis and she kindly gave it to me. Feeling pretty awful and taken the day off work. Couldn't have happened at a worse time too - we are moving this weekend and I have heaps of packing/organising to do and no energy to do it.
Shell as Ellie is sick I haven't given her the chicken pox vacc yet. But we will be getting it. Yes they can still get chick pox but having the vaccine means they won't get it as bad I think? I had it really badly as a child and I still have the scars from it so I'd like to avoid that for Ellie if possible.
Kass best of luck TTC, hope this is the month!
Gotta go, little miss is being awfully quiet so must be up to something!
-
Good luck with the TTC Kass. Nice way to be spending your time!!
Shell - Izzy has had her chicken pox. I was told the same as Lis - they may still get cp but they'll get a much milder dose. Try not to work too hard, but I bet the extra money is really nice. Christmas just seems to be more and more expensive each year doesn't it?
Lis - poor you and El. I hoe you're both feeling better very soon.
Dan - how are you feeling? I hope your MS is easing up a bit.
Sarah - how are you feeling? Not long to go now. Have you got names sort out yet or still working on it?
All pretty quiet here. I went out shopping on my own on Saturday afternoon. Got Mum's birthday present and was trying to start Christmas shopping for anyone other than the kids. So hard to find anything. I have a DH who is the hardest person on the planet to buy for. I have no idea what to get!!
-
Hi gorgeous ones! Back later for personals after I feed the little dude but wanted to pop in and say HI!! We are great! James is feeding and sleeping super dooper well still which is such a blessing. Izzy has been a bit sick too, fever, sore throat and a horrid night so we are getting the CP needle on Wednesday. Not looking forward to it. Our little man is giving us loads of smiles and giggles - soooo cute! Back later loves!
-
Gosh I am back again for another quickie!! I am loving all these new av's!!! And Tan, your xmas ticker pic is gorgeous. Makes me want to pull my finger out and do mine again! I got Sarah to do my xmas cards last year - not sure if you still do them do you Sarah????
Anyway, I am off to dinner tonight!! No kids, DH is babysitting haha!! It is a kindy committee break-up dinner. Anyway, just cooking the kids dinner and then I better get dressed xxx
-
Ooooohhh loving the new AV's ladies! Look at all you yummy mummies! :D
Lulu good luck with the Christmas shopping. My DH is hard to buy for too but luckily we aren't buying each other present this year - figured we've already spent enough money lately! Probably just get something small for under the tree on Chrissy morning. I haven't bought Elena's yet, still deciding what to get for her. What are you getting your girls?
Shell hope you enjoyed the child free dinner!
Tan is your kitchen finished? Your ticker photo is adorable!
Kass any news hun!!!!!!
Dan hope you are feeling well and getting plenty of rest.
Eeeeeekkkkk I'm still sick, think I may have to go to docs for some ABs as I'm just not getting any better. Worst thing is that I can't take any time off work as we have a deadline looming, so have to try and get through today somehow. Ellie is fine now though thankfully. We have been packing frantically and moving this weekend, poor Ellie is looking a bit confused by all the boxes and all her things going into them. She keeps pointing to the packed ones and saying 'open'!
Better go, hugs to you all, have a great day!
-
Hi yummy mummies,
I have been so terribly slack posting in her lately so I'm going to beg for you all to forgive me and my slackness.
Sangie - Best of luck moving gorgeous. It's a suckie job be gee it is so nice to unpack in YOUR OWN HOME!! Hope the weather gives you a great day for moving. How gorgeous El wanting all her stuff unpacked. The mental picture is giving me flash backs of Olivia 'helping' me pack when we moved. Gotta love them helping. Get better soon gorgeous. Sickness always comes at the worse time.
Tan - It is fantastic to hear that you are going so well and your little man is feeding and sleeping like a trooper. I agree with Shell, your ticker photo is gorgeous. I can't tell from it but do Iz and James look alike? I read on your msn heading that Iz fed herself with a spoon. Isn't it gorgeous watching them but I never knew how far such a little amount of fod can go, LOL!!
Kass - Best of luck TC #2. Fingers crossed it's real quick for you. Your little girl is going to be a great big sister.
Shell - Great ticker hon. Looking hot!! So good to hear from you and that everything is ok. How'd dinner go? Enjoy getting out without DH and the kids? I'm having one of those night tomorrow. I'm so excited. I remember when I refused to be away from Dave and Livvy now I count down the hours, LOL. Livvy had her 18 month chicken pox immunisation and it didn't affect her at all. You wouldn't have known she had it. I got it because even if she does get it later it is only shingles and she won't get them anywhere as bad.
Lulu - I hear you on DH being so hard to buy for. Have you thought of getting him a keyring with a photo of you and your gorgeous girls lasered on it? A watch? When all else fails you can go the vouchers. Horrible I know but i've had to resort to that sometimes. I can't believe how quickly your girls are growing. If you do decide to sell you P & T pram I'll definitely love to have a chat about it. I laughed so hard when I read that and thought OMG her DH is going to go crazy. How have you been feeling lately gorgeous? Improving?
As for us things are up and down. Always seems to happen when I'm on night shift too. I spent my 10hr Saturday nightshift vomiting so everyone at work has pretty much assumed that I'm pg but did they ask?? No they all took the grown up approach and gossiped behind my back. Feel like i"m back in high school. Oh well that's what happens when you work with all women. M/S is a hit and miss at the moment. Some days all I do is vomit and then there are days that I can actually do stuff. My house is a bomb site and Dave has started a new job so he is barely home at the moment. We're surviving though, just living in a mess. No-one is allowed to visit me, LOL!!
As for our gorgeous little princess (and I use that term very very lightly) is just amazing during the day. She is growing too quickly and seems to be learning something new every second. I can't believe my eyes. We still don't have a lot of words but she is bubba talking non stop. I have no idea where she got that from ;). She has cut all of her teeth, THANK GOD!!! Now the battle is getting her to brush them. Any tips ladies?? She is eating and drinking anything she can get her hands on but still not growing much. Our issue at the moment, when is there not one, LOL, is she is sleeping terribly overnight. I haven't had a night's sleep since last thursday so I'm a little bit tired. Fingers crossed she's just pushing my buttons and it will stop soon.
Alright I better go and get organised. I have to go for a coffee this morning and I'm not at all looking forward to it.
Chat soon gorgoeus mummies, I promise,
-
Hello wonderful mummies!!
Well no new for me with TTC just yet. Af has arrived so LOTS of DTD once she has gone ;)
We all seem to be very busy coming up to xmas, Im doing shopping all the way up until the 23rd!! Spread it accross a few pay checks so we can still eat! haha
I hope you're all well and your babies and learning and growing into beautiful mini grown ups! I know Annabelle is a lil Miss. Thing these days haha but I love it!
Have Clints nephews bday on Sunday not looking forward to it, CANT STAND THEM.
Dan- That sucks you were so sick! Hope you're better now?
Livvy pushing your buttons haha arn't they all at this age??!! Hang in there shes get tired herself soon and want a nights sleep.
No tips on the brushing the teeth, I have to fully hold Annabelle down to get them done. We got Annabelle a Cinderella electric tooth brush and that help, as she doesn't let us get in there for long at least with an electric on they get done properly ;)
Ok ill bbl, take care ladies
-
Quickie here too! ;)
Shell- You look HOT mama!
Dan - Try giving Liv a "play" toothbrush, let her play while you do yours, give her one in the bath and if worse comes to worse - hold her down!
Kass - Sending you loads of TTC vibes love.
Im off to Donny today with a gf for lunch and dress shopping for her! Dad is looking after Izzy and DH is working on the kitchen - doors arrived, today pics coming soon!!! Chat soon!
-
Hey guys.... im so slack!
finally into 2nd trimester now. Had my scan on MOnday which went perfectlywell
hope everyone is happy and healthy xx
-
Hey all! A quickie here too cos I'm tired!
Dan - we give Ellie a toothbrush to 'play' with. She watches me brush my teeth and copies. She seems to love her toothbrush and now she brushes her teddies teeth too lol!
Tan - hope you had a great time at donny's. I still haven't been to check it out.
Kass - sorry AF arrived hun. Fingers crossed for this month!
Danni - great to hear from you! YAY for second tri, that went soooooo fast! Well maybe not for you though! Feeling better?
Hi Shell and Lulu!!
I'm surrounded by boxes and told DH not to pack up the puter so I can jump on BB quickly lol. We are moving tomorrow so I will be offline for a little while. Not sure when we will have the net (DH is supposed to be organising that so who knows!!!). Catch ya's soon, take care xxxx
-
Dan - Izzy is a bit hit and miss with teeth brushing too. We do an electric tooth brush sound (cos that's what mummy and daddy have) and she seems to enjoy that - opens her mouth wide while we brush. She won't have a bar of tooth paste yet though so I figure its best to at least brush them with water than nothing at all.
Lis - yay for finally being in your lovely home. I hope the move went well and you're slowly getting yourself organised. Brilliant that you'll be in your new home for Christmas. Last year was really special being in our beautiful new home with our gorgeous baby for her first Christmas.
Danni - great news that everything is going well. How's the morning sickness? Are you finding out what you're having this time?
Dan - I hope things settle down for you guys very soon. Izzy went through a stage like that at night when she would scream and the second she was picked up she would cuddle into you. Try to put her down, scream. We tried bringing her to bed with us and like you said with Liv, all she wanted to do was play. Soooooo frustrating. I have a chaise lounge in her room and out of desperation just got to the point of leaving her in her cot and lying on the lounge (falling asleep a lot of the time!). I hope she gets out of it soon though - her mummy needs lots of sleep! I still need to work up the courage to mention yet another new pram to DH. I took the huge double out shopping the other day and Elena was so much happier in it. Might just wait until DH is with me one day and he's the one that has to wrestle the monster pram in and out of the car - then hit him with a new one!!
Kass - sorry about no luck this month. Still, lots of lovely practice over the silly season for you - have to look on the bright side.
Shell - how are you going?? I hope you enjoyed your night out.
I wrapped all the girls' presents last night and put them under the tree. Oh my goodness. I really did go a bit overboard. They have a cubbyhouse thing, slide and swing for outside that they're sharing (although Ellie won't have much use for the slide and cubbyhouse yet). Then Iz has a computerised thing that teaches alphabet, numbers, animals etc, about 6 books, the big Iggle Piggle snuggle pillow, two different stacking things, a little car thing and trailer that she sits on and kicks along with, one of those pull/push along things that the balls pop up in and play dough stuff. El has a thing that converts from sitting on to pushing along to standing in front of activity station, a pull along toy, some blocks, an Upsy Daisy snuggle cushion, blow up ball and square things, some books and a couple of other things that I just can't remember! Waaaaaay too much, especially when you consider that my folks have a cubbyhouse thing and swing for them to live at their place, and at last count 9, yes 9, toys for EACH of the girls. Most spoilt kids on the planet but I just can't help it.
Anyway, better go. Off looking for a new vacuum cleaner today. Hmmmm. Merry Christmas to me??

Hey hey girlies,
Just popping in, and going to try and stay regular in updating. I'm so busy with a new job and our happy little family, but it's not hard to pop in and spend a few minutes online with you bootiful mummas.
I am absolutely amazed at all the learning and growing our kids are doing at the moment. Blake is saying all sorts of things and putting words together, the longest at this stage being "I want more" or "I want that". Considering I was so worried about his speech, I'm extremely wrapped with his progression over the past couple of months.
He is still a terrible sleeper at night, but he does have a good sleep at school (always the way). As I'm typing, he is trying to sing Twinkle Twinkle and doing the hand actions, it makes me want to melt!!!
I got Blake a Tonka truck that has 3 other cars it carries, it's massive so have no idea where it's going to go, a Car's outfit, medium sized Hummer, paint, crayons, drawing pad, face painting crayons. I'll probably get him some decent shoes as another gift as he has outgrown everything else and ruined his good pair by peeing in them at school lol.
Speaking of pee, Blake does his poo's in the toilet :) He knows and shows me he needs to go to the toilet, and I sit with him and encourage and he does it, every time! He is in jocks at school and pull ups at home, and nappy for sleep time and overnight. Getting started with T/T is definitely a big advantage, as they say the boys are way more difficult than the princesses.
That's about all I have to update, I'll try and keep up with everythnig from here on in!
Ash and Blake xoxo

Ash -I'm jealous! I want poos in the toilet too! I have been a bit slack but am going to try after Christmas settles down! Glad you are doing well hun!
Lulu - OMG at the toys but I know what you mean. I haven't counted what we have bought them both yet and I don't think I will! I can't wait to move so we can get a cubby and swing set!
Lis - Doncaster is awesome! I won't bother with CHaddy ever again! So I either go there or Knox now! :)
Off to play with my snot nosed child - ANOTHER cold. ALl my friends can't believe how often she gets sick and it's made me wonder. Is it normal for them to get sick so often??? Im not sure. I think she picks up stuff at the playgroup we go to. Miss you all!! Chat soon!

Hi all!
We are finally in our new home and we finally have the net! I missed BB lol!
Tan my sis loves donny too, she is a regular shopper there! Knox and eastland are closest to me but I prefer knox. Hope Izzy's cold clears up soon, yep I think its pretty common for kids to get a lot of colds. After all they're immune system is only new! How is playgroup? I'm thinking about finding one for Ellie but I'm a bit shy to rock up by myself lol!
Lulu OMG at your girls gifts. You are making me feel like such a bad mum cos I haven't got anything for my princess yet. Must get my butt into gear!!!
Ash lovely to have you back, sounds like Blake is going great guns! So glad to hear so you so happy!
Well hello to anyone I missed - shell, Dan, Danni, Kass and love to you all.
AFM been super busy with the move and work. Ellie had her check up yesterday and she is in 90th percentile weighing in at 12.9 kg and 84cm long. Told you she loved her food lol! She also had her vacc with no bad effects which is great! Anyway I'm gonna make the most of my day off and go and unpack the billions of boxes laying around. Chat soon, have a lovely day xxx

Hello everyone!!! Sorry I have been so slack, no excuses, just plain old slack!! Both my girls have finished school/kindy now, so we have lots of fights etc in this house atm!!! They are unbelievable, I think they do love eachther, but my God they can argue! And throw into the mix a 18mth old who is throwing tantrums and screams and yells - our neighbours must hate us!!! Luckily we are on acreage so not so bad!!!
It is sooooo hot here, is horrible. I think that contributes to cranky kids. I also have got most of our shopping done. They got heaps - is silly really, but oh well!!!! I have been trying to book Angus into occasional care for one day next year and it is crazy. The only one with their books still open has 25 already on the waiting list!! Oh well, I jst think he would love different kids and toys etc... And also give me a day to myself, he is just so full on, so different to my girls. I just can't trust him anywhere - yesterday he found a permanant marker and drew all over my kitchen bench. We have also had a few toddler drownings round here, so am vigilant about watching him outside. So, hence, I think a days break would be nice!!
Lis - glad you have moved in - how exciting!!!
Kass- fingers crossed the new year brings you a bfp!!!!
Dan - how is Livvy now?? Is she still giving you a hard time!!! You going to find out the sex of bubs???
D - How is your preg travelling?
Tan - I cant believe how much James looks like Izzy!! Cute!!! We are all in the midst of snotty noses here also. I think it is normal at this age - they seem to pick up everything that is going round!!!
lulu - you and your prams caracks me up!!! My DH would have divorced me by noe if I was you!!! Although, I am wanting a stroller - the P&T is not getting much use these days. I have a trolley seat cover that he sits in most days!
Ash - how is the new job going?? Good on you for the TT!!!
Hello to anyne I have missed! Gotta run, little man just fell out of tonka truck. xxx
-
Hey ladies!!!
Lulu- I know what you mean with the prezzies!!! We're stuffed next year IF there's a new baby  Annabelle is wayyyyyyyyyyy to spoilt!
Sangie- Congrats with the move! Now just got to get through all those damn boxes
Tan- Not sure about Izzy being sick??? What does the health nurse say? I think it would just be getting into the wrong stuff, those playgroups can be pretty dirty!
Shell- Yuk hot weather! Sounds like the kids are reacting to it ;)
Sorry if I missed anyone! But Ill bbl ;)
AFM, Af has left so dtd for #2 :o
Xmas shopping all done, yay!!! Annabelle is getting, Dora lamp, 4 wiggles dvd's and a swing set with the slide etc. We really want to get her a tramp also but they're all sold out!
We already know what she's getting for her 2nd bday haha, cubby house decked out with mini fridge etc, Im excited!!
She had her chick pox vacc on Monday and didn't even realise the needle! Thank god, I hate doing it to her :(
Scarey how quick it is our babies will be 2 before we know it :(
-
Tan-If you know her "poo" face and teach her all about her bum it won't take long...Blake grabs his butt and says "Bummmm" and runs to the toilet and it only took about 2 weeks of coaxing. He peed on the floor next to the toilet after his poo this morning so got a long way to go there lol Blake gets sick often too, I don't know whether it's normal but the docs don't seem to concerned even though I certainly am. Any social situstion is going to expose them, all it takes is one little germy! How is your spunky little man going too??
Lis-Blake is about the same weight as Ellie, you go girl! Healthy little munchkin you have growing there! I must get Blake's immunisations I have completely forgotten!
Shell-I hear ya on the full on factor, it's amazing how they can hurt themselves so damn quickly! A day off for yourself sounds fantastic, have you looked into family day care for one day??
Cass-That cubby sounds great, how much is that going to set you back if you don't mind me asking? We need to replace ours as it's a hazard but the kids love it...
Well Blake's done his poo's for 6 days straight in the toilet, I am so proud of him! He has his Christmas Concert at daycare tomorrow, where they do songs and see santa etc, it's going to be great! My mum, sister, Scott and his parents will be there too, as well as Dave...pity Lulu is with her mum so she can't come :(
13 more sleeps to go....ahhhhhhhhhhh!
-
Hey guys... just a quick one from me. I just wanna wish Dan all the best for her u/s today!!! :D
-
Lis - yaaaaay for being in your new home. I don't envy you the unpacking though. God I hate moving. I hope it goes quickly and easily for you. I'll bet that you buy even more for Ellie than I've done for my girls - nothing like last minute, under pressure shopping when you just start throwing things into the trolley without really paying attention!!
Tan - I don't think its unusual for some kids to be sick a lot. I think at this age you're either really lucky and have a child that doesn't get sick at all, or you have the one that seems to get everything there is going. A GF of mine's little girl has gastro so often and if there's the slightest thing going around she gets it. I hope Izzy's cold passes quickly - a girl can't be not feeling her best for Santa!!
Ash - great to hear that your life is going so well. I'm jealous of poos in the toilet too. Izzy knows what is going on, comes to tell me before and after, but she just won't do anything in the toilet yet. Like Tan, I'm waiting for Christmas when DH is around so we can put in a really serious effort. I'm also going to use the break to try to get Ellie going to bed while she's still awake. And I'm going to wash all the windows. And mulch the garden. And catch up with some friends. Hmmm. All in 4 days!! I'm very jealous of Blake and Ellie's weight too - I would kill to have an extra kg or two on Izzy so that clothes fit her! She is still in 0s for a lot of bottoms and anything that's a 1 has to have an adjustable waist so it doesn't slide down over her non-existent bottom. God help me when she's in knickers not nappies - there'll really be nothing left to hold her clothes on.
Shell - you have a dam don't you? That must be really worrying with the kids. I hope you get Angus a place at daycare. I have a day off today (DH is looking after the kids so I can finish off Christmas shopping). I can't wait. Angus looks so grown up in your signature photo - where did our babies go? I love those trolley seats. Izzy would much rather sit in a trolley than in a pram. I want to get a double umbrella stroller - light weight, easy to use and hopefully they'll both stay in happy for long enough for me to get some things done!
Kass - you just have to hope you have a boy next time so that you can get different presents, although at this age they're all pretty unisex I guess. Annabelle's cubby house sounds fantastic.
Well, Iz & El might not be getting a cubby from gran and grandad after all. My folks got it in Target's July toy sale. They were supposed to start paying for it in September and then pick it up any time before Christmas Eve. Well, its all paid off and they went to arrange pick up only to be told that they're not even in yet, Target has no idea when they will be in and no, they won't call them when they do come in because they're "too busy". No grovelling apology. No real idea of when they can expect it. Now, like I said, my folks have bought heaps of stuff for the girls, but if this was a gift for kids from a family where finances were really tight and it was ALL the kids were getting, that's pretty unacceptable. My step-dad is going to start yelling come Monday if he doesn't get a more acceptable response from them. Very bad customer service.
Anyway, like I said I'm shopping today. I can't wait. Shhhhh, but I'm going to take my book with me and if I get done shopping I'm going to sit down in a cafe somewhere, drink a cappuccino without having to fight two sets of hands away from it, eat a piece of cake without having to stop one girl grabbing the fork and trying to stab her sister with it, and just generally enjoy the peace and quiet. I really hope I finish shopping early! Have a great day ladies.

Just a quickie - kass, try e-bay for a trampoline! I got my kids one for christmas, the biggest one you can get - 16ft, delivered to my door for $530. It took only about a week to arrive from Sydney to Townsville. Is the round one with a net etc and has a warranty also. OK, BBL, my boy is whinging, needs to go to bed xx
-
Hi all! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Shell I bet your kids will love the trampoline!! I had one as a child and I remember spending so much time jumping on it!
Lulu how did your shopping trip go? I hope you made time for that coffee. Gggrrrr at Target, what shocking customer service. I hope it all gets sorted out so that your girls are the proud new owners of a cubby house!
Kass best of luck this month hun! A new year BFP would be awesome!
Dan how are you going hun? Hope that Livvy has settled down for you.
Tan that pic of your Izzy and James is so cute! How is Izzy's cold?
Ash yay at Blake's concert, I bet it was adorable!
Danni how is your prince going? Are you gonna find out the sex of #2?
Well I finally started my xmas shopping! Have a lot more to do though and not going to have time until the end of the week. Unfortunately I'm going to have to battle the crowds. I'm dragging DH with me and he said he's gonna use his elbows if necessary lol! Have you all had photos with Santa? Ellie is happy to wave at santa from a distance but won't get too close. I think I'm going to have to be in the photo this year!
Take care all, chat soon xxxx :D

Quick one from me. Just came back from a fairly disastrous trip to Santa's knee. I was worried Elena wouldn't sit for even a second - she is such a Mummy's girl and only tolerates people other than me holding her if (A) she can't see me and (B) she knows them really well. Surprisingly she wasn't too bad but Izzy was not a happy camper. We got the very first photo they took - shows Izzy with her arms up and an expression on her face that could be taken as a smile (unless you were there!) and Elena is lying in Santa's arms looking sleeping. Geez what a disaster though. Santa was very good with them - we obviously didn't fight Izzy on it. He said about 90% of kids around Iz's age won't be in it. Oh well. There's always next year for a great Santa photo, or the year after . . .
