    That's cheating Tan

A real quick one today as I've got a very exhausted bubby on my hands. We went to the Phantom of the Opera yesterday and Livvy had her 4 month immunisations today so she is very out of sorts. Fingers crossed a good sleep will sort her out.

I was so nervous taking her yesterday but she didn't make a sound. Livvy was completely mesmerised by the show and just stared at the stage the whole time. She was the best behaved baby ever. I was such a proud mumma.

At the end everyone was leaving and complimenting me on how well behaved she was and she was so quiet and they didn't even know she was there. I was so happy.

The actual show was absolutely amazing and I can't recommend it highly enough. I was completely lost in the show and the costumes were amazing. Anthony Warlow was breath taking. I'd go again in a heart beat.

Lulu - How amazing that your two babies will be born so close together and it doesn't matter if they are born on the same day. It will be a double celebration like Livvy will I have each year. So how you feeling? M/S settling down?

Ash & Danni - Your little men are gorgeous and the photos are just stunning. Hope you are all having a fantastic visit and we can't wait to hear all about it.

I know that I have missed heaps of personals but I hope everyone is having a great day and that all our bubbies are behaving themselves.

Chat real soon and catch up properly on personals,
    Luv Dan.

    Hi,
I am new here. My name is Hayley and I have a 4 month old baby boy called Corey.
He was born on the 8th of May. So I thought I would come on and meet some Mum's with babies born in May as well.

Okie dokie I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, I am wayyyy too lazy to go back to the old thread to read LOL

I hope everyone had a great weekend, we did up here. The weather was excellent, the boys (big and little) had a blast (and were SO well behaved), and it was excellent to see Danni again!

Blake has been great in the day since Friday actually, such a good boy. I'm a bit worried though - he had frothy green poo yesterday and is chucking pretty much all his milk up. He has a solid meal but that didn't come up, whereas with the reflux solids do come up too. I hope to got it's not lactose intolerance, but apparently he wouldn't gain weight so quickly if he was (although he only put on 60g in 2 weeks so I don't see the logic there, when we was putting on 100g + per week).

How are everyone's babies? How is everyone coping? I think it's time tor eally catch up, I've been so blase lately, I'm sorry!

Hi there gorgeous mums and bubs,
Ash - Great to hear that you all had an awesome weekend. I love the photos. Did you get up to anything interesting? I have no idea what could be causing Blake to throw up. Livvy poo at the moment is bright green too and OMG the smell turns my tummy. Wonder what's causing it.

Kristen - I can't believe how much Mia has grown since I saw you guys in Melbourne. She is getting to be such a gorgeous big girl. How heavy is she now?

Tan - I can't believe that Izzy is rolling. That's awesome. Is she rolling from back to front or front to back or both? I'm just curious because Livvy is rolling from front to back but not back to front and the MCHN told me that she is developing slowly because she should be doing this by now. I'm getting frustrated that everytime I go there is always negatives pointed out that make me doubt myself. Izzy still feeding twice a night?

Danni - How'd you enjoy Brisbane? How did Mason travel for you? Is your blocked milk duct all sorted out?

Sarah - How is Noah's boy bits? Has the swelling settled down? How is Noah sleeping and feeding for you now?

Hi Haley and welcome to our awesome thread and website. Be careful. You become so addicted to BB so quickly it isn't funny. I can't go a day without getting on here at least twice and catching up. Can't wait to hear all about your highs and lows of raising your gorgeous little man, Corey.

Livvy had her immunisations yesterday and today she is just so out of sorts it isn't funny. My little girl has never been like this. She has a temp of 38.5, she is doing nothing but sleep (YAY!!!) and eating, when she is awake she is so grumpy and grizzly, her poor little legs are so swollen and to top it off she is coming down with a cold and has goobers coming out everywhere. The poor little bugger is so feeling so crappy and so out of sorts. She is just wanting to cuddle today which I just love cause lately she is too busy to cuddle mummy. LOL!
We have to miss MG today cause I'm not taking her out with her feeling like this and typical the one day that I feel great because I had heaps and heaps of sleep. Doesn't matter, Livvy will always come first.

Hope everyone is going great and can't wait to catch up, hopefully when Livvy is feeling better.

Hi everyone. Another quickie today . . .

Dan - How was Phantom? I am sooooo jealous. If we hadn't just built the house (oh yeah, and had a baby!!) I would have been getting on a plane to Melbourne to see it. Was Anthony Warlow just gorgeous??? I wouldn't worry about Livvy not rolling yet. Izzy refuses to go on her tummy at all (apparently reflux babies don't like it?!) so on the two occasions she has rolled back to front she gets there and screams the place down, then just buries her mouth in her mat and tries to smother herself. Not much development there (or self preservation!). Livvy and Izzy are so much smaller than Tan's Izzy so its not surprising they're not as far down the physical development road yet. How are you going with her weight gain? Are you having to comp or are you going to hang out on the booby juice until you introduce solids?

Ash- great to hear that Blake is being such a good boy, although a "frothy green poo" sounds interesting!! I know Izzy is lactose intolerant - hence the soy formula she's on. The good news is that I've been told it won't necessarily be a life long thing, and just while her little body is still growing and adjusting.

Danni - hope you and Mason had a great time visiting and his sleep is settling down a bit for you.

    Hi Hayley and welcome.

Tan - are you still having broken sleep at night with Izzy? I am too now (not enjoying dragging myself out of bed, complete with "Billy the Bucket" to go and give her a feed at 2am!). I was wondering if maybe its because she's not getting enough nutrition in the hours she's awake cos 12/13 hours is a long time to go without food. Someone suggested trying her on solids to see if that gets her through. Any thoughts?

Went down to my folks' in the country yesterday. Grandma had a ball playing with Izzy, and was telling me that DH and I will need time to bond with Ned when he comes along, so she thinks it would be a really good idea if Izzy goes to live with her for 6 months!! Ha ha. Not a chance old lady! We went to see War of the Worlds on Saturday night and DH's parents babysat. I missed her so much and could hardly enjoy the show - just wanted to get home to my girl. I'm pathetic . . .

Selfish post here... seems that the 2 weeks of fighting off both Izzy's and Al's colds has finally caught up with me... panadol, big fleecy jacket and heater on 23 and Im still shivering
Lulu - you poor thing having to go through MS and night waking - Izzy is still waking 1-2 times a night here - depends on the day - it changes all the time. I really dont want to start on her solids til she is 5 mths at the minimum so I guess we will be sticking it out
I read somewhere that this is normal up to 6 mths and then to try settling without feeding so thats what I will be doing!! I was just spoiled with a few weeks of blissful 11 hour stretches!! Luckily she feeds quickly and goes straight back to sleep!
Dan - yay for Phantom- what a gorgeous little princess!! As for rolling I think I jumped the gun- shes rolled from tummy to back once and now rolls from back to side so not a full roll!! Need to change my ticker!!
Ash and Danni- best buddies hey - sooooo cute gladyou guys had fun!!
Hi to everyone else pathetic personals sorry but I have a grizzly girl and grizzlier mummy here!

    Hello!!!

Sorry I've been MIA lately but just wanted to pop on quickly to say hello!! I'm still around, just don't get the chance to pop on as much these days. Luke's day time sleeping is still pretty bad. He's now cut his usual 40 minute sleeps down to 30 minutes sleeps, so it doesn't leave me with much time to get things done. Yesterday, he cut out his afternoon sleep altogether and was awake for 5 hours!!! It wasn't pretty but we finally managed to get him down and he slept ok - still waking twice during the night and seems to think that 6am is morning!!!

We're still having big dramas feeding too - yesterday was really bad again and I've decided I'm going to have to put Luke on formula. I just can't put him through it anymore, he screams histerically (sp?) and its just awful. I'm seeing the paed again next week, so we'll hold off till then and have a chat to him about it. Its mainly the right boob that he just refuses to take - not matter how I hold him, it's so frustrating. Anyone would think I've got poison in that boob!! I just don't get it - as soon as he goes onto the left boob, he's fine! AND even stranger, every single night feed that I do is PERFECT - he'll take the right boob no problem, how weird is that!!! Anyway, every now and again we have a really good day, so lets pray that today is one of them. I've got lots of lumps in the right boob as he didn't take much of it yesterday and I'm sooooo scared of getting mastitis again! Hopefully it will be ok.

Must go though as I need to make the most of Lukes limited sleeping. Check out my new ticker pic (hopefully the update worked)!! Hope everyone is well and Lulu - how weird is it seeing a pregnancy ticker at the end of your posts now!!!!

Kelly - hun - keep massaging that bb and expressing if you need to so you dont get mastitis hun, and good luck with the paed next week. This mother gig is so hard isnt it. Love the pic- gorgeous!!

Dan- yay for new pics!! Olivia looks adorable at her christening! What nationality is Dave? Al looks similar- like an islander - hee hee but he is actually half Japanese!!

Hayley -you can go to any of the websites and follow the directions to make a ticker - you can click on any of ours to get there lilypie is a popular one, and then go to your user profile at the top left of the page, click on edit signature and thats where you can put all the codes etc for your sig! Good luck!

    Hi everyone else!!

OMG this cold is terrible... my mum came over this morning so I could have a bit of a rest but I feel like ***** still, just made myself a nice hot lemsip drink with honey so hope that kicks in soon. Also Izzy fell asleep on me last night so we put her to bed a bit early at 630 - BAD IDEA. She woke at 8 - didnt go down til 10 and then woke at 3 and 6 Her sleeping pattern is all out of whack but it must be because she is unwell - poor thing just when it looked like she was over it - now Im sick so shes sure to get it too.

Anyway Im going to cruise forums now and watch ready steady cook...

Dan-That's great news that Livvy was entranced by the show - a live performance beats anything through a screen anyday!!! How is she feeling now after her shots? I know Blake is well overdue but he goes for his next weekend (he's been sick and you can't get them if they're sick). We didn't do much, we went to Southbank with all intentions to go swimming but the water was freezing! We did some shopping and enjoyed watching the boys. The pics of your family are gorgeous - how quick are these bubbas growing up!?!

Hayley-Welcome! We hope you enjoy BB as much as we do!

Lulu-Congrats on finding out how far along you are, what date does that make you due (I haven't a clue when your original due date was)? I really am starting to have my suspicions about lactose intolerance - he takes forever to get 100-150mL of milk down, but when I gave him some solids he ate close to half a flipping jar! LMAO at your Billy the Bucket comment! In my experience, solids haven't made a difference in Blake's sleep patterns, so if you're not ready, don't start for that reason alone.

Tan-Sweetie I hope you get well soon, being sick and looking after a bubby is definitely not easy, I know!!! That's great that Izzy is rolling, Blake is doing the same, can roll from front to back with no worries, but can only get onto his side from his back.

Kelly-You poor thing, you're having such a rough time. As I've said in the past, do what's right for you. Coming from someone who is going to try and relactate, my advice would be to still pump even if you give up BFing, so you can at least give him EBM or go back to feeding later on down the track.

Blake did a big stretch last night - 7pm-4am. He grizzled at 1am and I got up to get a bottle, but he was quiet so I went back to bed, lo and behold he didn't wake up till 4! I put him in bed with me after he screamed for 5 mins and didn't take much bottle, and he slept till 7:30. I am one well rested mumma for a change. He is having his second nap for the day also...he went down at 10am up at 12, and back down at about 2:15. They say sleep breeds sleep, lets hope it works out for the best!

Just wanted to let you know Danni's DH's nana is sick and they have gone there to spend time with her because it looks like she isn't going to make it, hence her absence.

Another downer for my DH, one of his best friends committed suicide (as far as they can determine at this stage) last week and he only found out on Monday. His body hasn't been released yet so we have no idea of the cause at this stage. His funeral will be in Tassie (where he grew up) so looks like we'll be going down there in the not too distant future.

Danni - big hugs to you and your family too hunny. :hugs:
