sara - Poor Briley, aren't teeth the nastiest things, Archie had had one side of his first molar through yesterday and today it has gone back in, that has happened with nearly all his teeth so far, takes a couple of weeks of pain to get them through for good, must be awful. Sounds like Briley is at the same stage as Archie all of the sudden last week he came out with all the correct animal noises and heaps of different body parts and stuff, they are getting so smart and grown up! I can't remember exactly where Kim has moved, maybe it ws Griffith????? Probably way off, i know it was 600k's from where she was, i hope its all going okay for her and Darcy. they moved i think for DH's job and im sure Kim got a transfer there too, hope she's managed to get upthe duff again!

DH took the night off work last night and we had such a beautiful relaxing family day today just the 3 of us. Archie has all his teeth on the move atm i think, not getting a hell of a lot of sleep night or day unfortunately, not too bad though. he had one side of his first molar through yesterday but its gone back in now of course, tonight i looked and he had a HUGE lump where i guess a molar is trying to break through on the bottom gum, he just keeps sooking and showing me where his teeth hurt, wish i could make it stop hurting. i reckon chances of us going to my family reunion in a few weeks are looking slim especially if Arch is teething then.

We should have our new car (not new new) very soon just have to organise a time to pick it up from Dh's cousin, woohoo freedom!

My poor youngest sister (15years old) is getting braces on in 3 weeks (she's actually looking forward to them though cause she wants nice teeth) but before that she has to have 2 teeth pulled and 2 fillings put in. Mum is working during all the appointemnts so its big sis to the rescue, Arch and i will be taking her to her dentist appointemnts next week and when she gets the braces. i can remember all too well the pain i was in the first night i got my braces put on, not nice at all.

the weather here today went from and rainy this morning to quite warm this afternoon, wind must have swung around to the north, so Arch is wearing summer pjs for the first ever time, he looked so grown up in his muscle top and boxers, he was very impressed with the feel of the boxer shorts he he.

Yeah I am pretty sure it was Griffith. Hope you come back online again soon Kim.

Gosh we are all having molar problems hey. Lachlan is the same, last week with his high temps for 3 nights and 2 days both molars on the bottom left and right were swollen to buggery and it even appeared like one broke through the surface but then a few days later it was gone again, but just tonight I can feel it sharp again but the other side is still a huge lump, but no more temps thank god. So yes Sara, I do believe they come up and down up and down for a while. Actually I just realised that Lachlan already has a top molar on left and right. Ooops I didn't realise it was a molar till a friend and I were sussing it out the other day. And he always has issues with his teeth, but I must say these molars have given him alot of grief, I wonder what the difference is.

As for saying animal sounds, lachlan wouldn't have a clue, the only think he says is bark when a puppy barks. Gosh your kiddies are so smart.

Yay for the car Elissa. We are atm thinking about getting a hyundai sante fe on a lease arrangement. Our car is good, but it is getting a few miles on the clock and a few little things are going wrong so it might be best to get a newy!

Glad you guys had a nice family nite last night. I can imagine the disspointement of your hubby right now, but atleast he has his family.

We have had shockingly hot weather here, 33-35 degrees already, with storms. The lightning last night was amazing. I am sooo not looking forward to this summer. And our a/c is on the blink. We only purchased it in Feb this year when we got here! Only thing is the nearest agent to fix it under warranty is being a pain. I rang them 3 weeks ago now and still no-one has come to fix it. Makes me furious, cause I keep ringing and leaving messages (about 3 times now) and have spoken to the receptionist 3 times, asking if someone could ring me and give me an idea when it is likely someone will come and nope haven't had one phone call back. Rude, rude, rude. If it wasn't so big and heavy I would take it to the next town - Emerald (an hour away), just because I hate dealing with people like this and they don't deserve my business. Guess thems are the breaks for living in the Country - GOSH IT SUX!

Forgot to tell everyone we are off to swimming lessons for the first time this season, can't wait to see how Lachlan goes in the water this time, he will be so much more responsive this time! He loved it before, but they are so knowing now and I guess I will know straight away if he likes it or not!

    Morning girls,

Nat - We will miss you! Hope everything goes well with the move hun. I know how moving is and am i so glad i don't have to do it for a long time. Possibly never! Looking forward to your return!

Sheree - Good luck at swimming lessons! Now that you mentioned swimming,i am thinking about going swimming myself today. Its been very hot up here lately. No doubt the one day i want to go swimming it will be overcast in town! Hope Lachie has fun! On the A/C probs....just take it back to the store you purchased it from. Have you still got your reciept??? If you do you can ask for either a refund or an exchange. I used to work at Fair Trading (Consumer Affairs) so i know bit about that sort of thing.

Elissa - Well its sounds as though you all had a lovely day yesterday. They days are nice are'nt they. Poor Archie with his teeth. Briley does'nt have any problems with the teeth affecting her sleep though. I think she sleeps through then pain cause sometimes when she wakes up she carries on like her gums are hurting. Panadol has worked a treat here. She wont let me near her gums to put Bonjella on. I have to fight her! Your a good big sister then! Good luck to your sister.

Well its thursday today (pay day ) so we are going to do a few things in town. Maybe even swimming. See how i go. Not much else but. Just groceries. YAY! (not!!).

Hope you all have a great day!

sheree - gosh im glad we dont live where you are, we are shocking with the heat, cant handle it when it gets above 30! Bummer about the air con, strange that it would break down so soon, i hope it gets fixed very soon, you dont want temps like that without the air con! I dont mind the santa fe's they look pretty smart, our car is over the 200 000 k's now so we are thinking about getting a newer one in the next 12 months or so, dont like the idea of getting a loan though, hate having debt, as im sure we all do. I reckon we'll probably get a fairmont or berlina or something like that, i'd like a camry but J's not so keen cause that is what his Dad drives and he has HUGE issues with his Dad, oh well anything that isn't a V8 will be a big improvement on the budget! Hope Lachlan enjoys the swimming lessons! I should probably look inot taking Archie this summer...he hasn't been before, i hate water....(and bathers!)

nat - GL moving, look forward to hearing from you soon, hope the connection is up fast!

sara - im glad Briley's sleep doesn't get affected by the teeth, Archie is quite good to once he manages to get himself to sleep, he does the same as Briley wakes up and cries in pain, but Panadol works well here too. have fun shopping.

I cannot believe it, i am so excited and proud, my baby boy is asleep in a big bed!!!!!!! He is sleeping on an old foam matress onthe floor atm, went and priced a bed for him today but when we got home form the street i thought, bugger it, i'll try him out on the matress. He didn't like the pillow, he came out of the bedroom once but was happy to go back up to bed and he went to sleep much quicker than he would in the cot.....i bet tonight wont be so easy though! i can't wait to start buying cool quilt covers and sheets! ATM he is using my single mink blanket, it had Buzz Lightyear on it so he was pretty keen on it. i am a bit concerned about him being ablet o play with heater/fan/nightlight/power point. Im thinking he'll probably just play with the switches on the heater/fan for a few nights then he'll get over it.

How many others are in beds now?? Do you use a side rail? Have they fallen out?

We're not in a bed yet over here. I thini Katy would destroy her room!!! Not to mention walk to the pantry for a midnight snack! I'll keep her in the cot for as long as possible! Her cot turns into a toddler bed so we'll try that out first!

Not much going on over here. Work work work before a few days off to go and see Mark's mum down south.

    Best be off.

leanne - yeah i thought id leave Archie in his cot as long as possible for the same reasons, but he was in a portacot and fast running out of room. Are you looking forward to the trip to see Marks mum?

So far so good, he was so extremely tired after a few days of teething, couple that with a new bed and he ended up beside himself sobbing tonight at bed time, but it didn't take much to settle him down for sleep, i just got im all excited by his new doona cover that has "Twinkle stars' on it, worked like a charm. Wonder how many times ill be up with him during the night though....

Just spoke to my Auntie who has organised the family reunion in a few weeks time, she gave me the website of the place we'll be staying, it looks fantastic and im really excited to go now! it is only about 3 hours drive which is good too.

Council sent us a letter today saying that due to their property being bigger than a hectare they dont have to contribute to the new fence....well wasn't that the straw that broke DH's back!!!! Everything culminated this aftenoon and DH was one big bundle of stress anger and frustration. He did the right thing thoughby going out by himself for an hour to calm down, he is nice and happy and calm again now...poor guy.

Sorry everyone no time for personals, will go back and read later.

We had 2 storms last night. The first one we had a power outage for 2 hours. Now that was fun with a toddler. It was from 6pm to 8pm. I feel sorry for the people across the road with 3 kids and their 2 year old was crying the whole time.

Have a good day everyone, we have just been swimming again for the 2nd time. The temp of the water was so cold, below 20degrees, that Lachlan not only had the shivering mouth as he always does but also had the whole of body shakes. I had to take him out yesterday I was worried I would terrify him of the water. I haven't found him to be as good in the water this time round, keeps monkey gripping me around the neck, won't let go and cries sometimes. Today he was a bit better, hopefully each lesson he improves.

shazz - thanks for the advice, we checked it out, rang consumer affairs then called the ombudsman and a Bill was passed that states that if the council property is greater than 1 hectare they are exempt from the fencing act, the reason we are pset about it is cause the soil is extreley hard like cement so to dig holes for the fecne posts is gonna cost a fair bit of money to get a machine to dig the holes for us.....thanks again to you and your DH.

sheree - Gosh that water must have been so cold! bummer about the power outages, we had one a couple of weeks ago that went for most of the day, come back on for night time thank goodness, hope you dont get any more for a while.

i am so tired, i think its mainly cause of the hayfever tablet i took this morning. Archie did really well in his big bed lat night, only had to go inot him once cause he got disorientated and banged his head on the wall, but he went straight back to sleep, he was up at 5:30 though which didnt excite me too much. Putting him down for his day sleep today has been tiring, i think he came out of the bedroom at least 40 times, i ended up shutting his door, he had a bit of a cry and went to sleep, magic! Mum is picking him up when he wakes up and taking him to her friends farm for the afternoon to see all the animals. I am very grateful as i think DH needs some one on one time after the stressful week he has had.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend planned

Hey there girlies! Thanks for thinking of me. having enormous probs with internet and finally have some dial up. I have read most of the posts but it's taking soooo long to get anywhere.
Elissa YAY Archie!!!! Buggar about your fence though. Darcy doesn't usually get up once she's gone down. and if she does, it's not to play it's to find me.

Sheree, I'm worried about Darcy this year too, but will get onto swimming lessons shortly.

Leanne that was a gorgoeous pic of Katy!!

    Good luck Nat

    Shazz

Sara you're better than me - you know my track record with teeth - Darcy got 11 in a fornight and I had not a clue!

I have had the crappest week. We packed Tues/Wed. Travelled Thurs, moved in Fri, Cam left Sat, Mum left Sund.
Darcy gor gastro from daycare on Sat, mummy got it (and still has it) Monday night. I had to go home sick on my first day!!! I slept 6 hours when I got home though.
The new station is unfriendly and unhelpful and very very strick on rank and protocol (not like a city station at all). I have an enormous job with no training in it and no one to tell me what to do - they just left me one big mess.
When Darcy isn't at day care she's either screaming or being carried by me. She won't sleep on her own (understandable but no less frustrating) and she won't eat. I can't eat and sleep due to the gastro.
I've have to unpack most stuff by myself and today the washing machine packed it in.......I am feeling very sorry for myself. Sorry - I have no-one here that I know or can ring. My poor mum is beside herself and Cam's new job is full of things we wish they'd told him before he applied. He's going to a community 4 hours out of Alcie Springs that's never been policed before with an officer from Qld he's never even met......Koori law is still very strong and contradictory to state law (of course)...far out. I just want to go home......oh and there's no communications home and no trip half way so I won't see him until February.
Thanks if you got this far.....
